2023-12-02 21:08:15I really loved the food they had to offer. The service was great but it did take a little while to get our food but it was right around the time they had opened. The spicy Lao sausage was very good and it had the right amount of kick to it.

2023-11-14 06:56:00Medium sized establishment. Well decorated actually. I found the aesthetics to be intimate and inviting. The bar seemed pretty cool as well. Surprisingly, a small menu. But that can be a good thing as well. I ended up getting the chicken skewers. It was thigh meat. Tasty but nothing really special. I would love to come check out the other menu items next time I’m in the area. I hope they will have more unique menu items that will separate themselves from other Lao restaurants in Stockton.

2023-08-17 03:58:32To start off. Theres not many Lao restaurants here in Stockton. Ive been looking at this place for a while. Came in for dinner with the wife. Decided to order too much food as usual. Wanted to try many different entrees. I say the raw Ahi and Salmon salad were two of my best plates. Also, the raw laab. Came out bidder like I asked. Beef soup could have more flavor. Tasted little bland. Expected that fresh slaughter cow taste, which it obviously didnt have. Again, its not fresh, so my expectations were too high. I wouldnt order the tri tip again. Everything else was good. Wifey really like the mango papaya. Overall, it was a good experience. We order everything medium spice, which wasnt really that spicy. Give it a try.SAME OWNER AS THAI ME UP

2023-08-31 22:19:38Food were tasty, service was alright, simple but clean and elegant atmosphere. The thai milk tea I ordered was a little too sweet. Nam Kao was very flavorful but those rice balls are little hard on your teeth. The reasons I give 4 stars are because the price are high for the location and meal portion.

2023-09-06 04:06:203.7 star - We found this restaurant thru Google local “Lastest” list, it opened a year ago, but we didn’t know until now. We were surprised they had “morning glory” with garlic, we enjoyed it because no restaurant in the area had it (cuz it’s super easy to make at home). Their veggie “imperial” rolls were just ok, there were not much in them, mostly clear noodles and woodear mushrooms, and they were oily like any eggroll. We were adventurous with bamboo soup, had never tried it before, looked/tasted like a homemade dish. The flavors and ingredients were interesting, not in a bad way, but we wouldn’t try it again. We’ll be back for other dishes, we think their food are authentic, worth trying again.

2022-07-13 01:40:09We came here during their soft opening, the chefs are just dialing in the final seasonings of the dishes according to the feed back of the customers (like beta testers). Prices to portion ratio is ok, place has a modern/hip/bar atmosphere to it. Definitely a good place to hang out at night. Will definitely come back again to update review.

2022-12-28 01:43:5611/18/2022 and 12/24/2022: Hubby and I have visited twice. We enjoyed it so much the first time that we went back to try more of their awesome dishes.First of all, the service is outstanding. Our server was very welcoming, friendly, and attentive. She answered our questions and provided us with good recommendations. Unlike other restaurants, she was good about clearing empty plates, giving us the table space needed for additional dishes.Visiting this restaurant was the first time Ive had Laotian food. It is very similar to other Asian cuisine, but it has their own twist. On the first visit, we were with my sister so we decided to share a variety of dishes - deep fried salmon belly, homemade Laotian sausage, homemade chicharron, green papaya salad, mango sticky rice, and Sunkaya. What a treat! Everything was fresh and full of flavor. On our second visit, it was just me and hubby, but we decided to share again. We started with the Som Moo (sour pork), which was a loaf of pork with seasoning that had a slight sour taste. It was delicious! We also had the long bean salad, gaeng aum, mee kawtee (pan fried noodles), and eggplant jaew. The salad was refreshing with the blanched beans seasoned with fish sauce and spice. The gaeng aum is a traditional beef stew with a thick white soup and loaded with veggies (Thai eggplant, Asian greens, and long beans). The eggplant jaew is a wonderful accompaniment and goes well with the steamed rice. Again, this meal was outstanding! We left eager to return to try more. If youve never had Laotian food, give Lao, Der! a try. Its a great cultural experience.

2023-11-17 20:02:58I was very happy to try lao dishes that expand my palette and this place had a bunch of yummy appetizers. They have a bar and the atmosphere was very quiet and intimate. The murals were done by Kia just like their other place on the miracle mile called Thai Me Up. The star is missing because I was cold but they were willing to turn on the heat.

2022-08-27 12:09:49The restaurant felt intimate, it was great for a date night. The staff was friendly, and attentive. We tried different starters, and we were not disappointed, the food was delicious. And were enough for two people, we had a total 5 different types dishes. We definitely will be back.
