2023-10-22 06:56:14Tasty reasonably priced food at this somewhat new Laos restaurant. The Thai tea was highly recommended (and very good, very sweet) so we ordered that; just make sure to mix it because we didn’t at first 😆.We’re pretty basic, and ordered pad thai and beef combination meal. They gave a decent amount for the price. Service was good and they came by to check if we wanted our water refilled. Would have loved to try the dessert but we don’t live local to the area; but we’d definitely come back :).I was intrigued that the servers were wearing masks on their faces, wondering if it’s a cultural thing or this restaurant just does it.

2023-10-09 04:54:40First time at Laos kitchen. My son and I was looking for a place to have not-so-heavy dinner so we chose Laos Kitchen. We shared a combo (crispy fried chicken, papaya salad and sticky rice) and it was perfect! We both felt full from the meal but not too full. The chicken was crispy and yummy. The papaya salad was flavorful. Everything on the menu looks good and the price is reasonable. We will definitely go there again to try other things on the menu.

2023-10-13 06:03:49Food was pretty good nothing to go nuts about, the Thai Iced Tea is a MUST get actually 10/10. Place was insanely busy with only 2 servers but they were fast and attentive. Will definitely be coming back again.

2023-05-14 03:42:29What a great addition to downtown San Rafael! We had never been to a Laos restaurant before but couldnt wait to try it after seeing the dining room from the sidewalk. They have an elevated vibe and offer an incredible value for the money. We brought our own wine because we didnt know that they had a wine program ($15 corkage), but they do have some good value bottles on the list.Appetizer - Spring Rolls w Chicken Satay - massive portion, 4-full rolls, full flavored satay and fresh crunchy veggies. For us this is huge because fresh spring rolls are a frequent craving.Entrees - Basil Chicken and Pad Thai - We went with what we knew and they nailed it. We are coming back to explore next time.Dessert - Mango Sticky Rice + Coconut Ice cream - the latter was complimentary and delicious. The sticky rice is made with black rice and had a really unique texture, mangos perfectly ripe. This all came out to under $80. We only finished half of each dish and had enough leftovers for lunch the next day. The staff was attentive, full water and wine glasses all evening, and the food service was well paced. Will frequent regularly!

2023-06-19 05:07:19#1,15 and 21 were flavorful dishes! Hands down, one of THE best Asian food restaurants that I have had in Marin. Bursting with flavor and everything tasted fresh. Service was slightly slow, but came at the end of dinner rush; but service team was totally friendly! Look forward to coming back, again and again and again!

2023-05-21 20:21:29Good food! We wish it were more spicy but we forgot to ask for it, next time we’ll be sure to. The mango sticky rice was incredible. The acoustics in the room were a bit rough, the sound really carried. Overall, a good addition to San Rafael!

2023-06-09 16:45:53Wow! This place just became my favorite southeast Asian cuisine in town. Our server recommended the Nam Khao Todd (crispy rice ball with sour pork, peanuts, green onion, cilantro, and lime juice) and it was delicious. The Green Curry is also fantastic. The portions were large, so we had plenty to take home for leftovers. We’ll be back soon!

2023-08-14 23:05:31A bit loud for having dinner here. Apparently it’s a very popular place :)The only thing if I have to be picky is that they don’t have any photos on the menus, and the waitress was not helping me to make a decision. But everything on the menu is so delicious! You won’t be disappointed!

2023-05-23 01:59:06Its hard to find a real Lao or Thai restaurant in San Rafael. Im glad this new restaurant is here. I love the food especially Kao-piak sen, Lao sausage and Laab. A true flavor of home cooking. If you are looking for the real Laos flavor in Marin county, this is the only place. My family and I have been coming back several times now and ordered to go since its open. I hope it stays open for many years to come. BTW, I dont give five stars for any review, because I believe that theres always room for improvement.
