Wow. I stopped in for an afternoon bite and ordered the Mussel Curry...out of this world! Decided I had to try the Momo too, tender, light, juicy... I cant say enough about how good it is! I wanted to share my first experience here.It was a surprise dinner for my daughters birthday. They were very accommodating, only there is one employee, possibly a part owner who wasnt that pleasant to us. I thanked her immensely for her service and help, but I left feeling bothered some.My daughter & I arrived a 1/2 hour late, which could not be helped as we were caught in traffic, an accident and we were trying our best to get there in time. I even apologized for she & I arriving late. Thankfully our party was there on time.We were asked to order a few minutes after I arrived, thats fine, but I was told we had to order so she could take an even bigger partys order near us. No problem, as we all ordered our food.Our food didnt arrive first, the other huge party received their food first and it was strange because we ordered before them. Each plate came about 10-15 minutes a part. My nephew received his salmon dish about 45 mins after ordering it and they gave him complimentary brussel sprouts (ok thats fine).We brought in a small cake and I went to the counter to ask if I can have it. This female employee said shed bring to us. When she did, the candle was lit-I didnt know she was doing this at the time and I didnt get any pictures as she took it away.I said Id cut if she brought a butter knife and plates, she said No and insisted on taking it back to cut it. We received tiny pieces and never saw the rest of the cake again. By the end of our dinner, I told her to please keep the rest of the cake and share with the other employees. She had a blank look like she never remembered the cake at all. You see my daughter has been through A lot in the last month (quite a rough time for her) and I wanted her to be happy on her birthday. I was very grateful they accepted outside food at all and even thanked her for it. Again, no thank you. No its ok....I felt our dinner was rushed, she was very rude even though I was thanking her so much for everything. I got a blank stare each time. I even went back inside after making sure we didnt leave anything or nothing was left a complete mess, taking some gift tissue with me as it wasnt up to them to clean that up.Probably will not be returning and sad because the food was great, but her service is less than pleasant. 😥We spent $440.00 here, and they gave themselves a $69.00 tip! Too much for this one ladys service!
Amazing food and excellent service. What more could you ask for? Extremely surprised to find a restaurant of this quality a few miles from my home in Vallejo. This is easily on par with some of the best restaurants you’ll find in Napa. Hidden in a small shopping complex off the 29 is not where you would expect to find food of this caliber. What they did with the appetizers was both creative and delightful. Asparagus with a fried hard boiled egg, brussel sprouts with a sweet vinaigrette of some type, steak and chicken were delicious. Went back a few days later to try the burger. It did not disappoint.
The food was so delicious. My man had the shank and I had the eggplant we both shared our meals and also had Brussel sprouts that tasted like chicken wings. Omg the food here is so good. I always see it but never go because its hidden in the back. But yes me and my partner agreed that the food was so yummy and we are going back for sure.
Moana and all of the employees were very friendly, helpful and funny!The food was phenomenal!Everything they recommended was delicious, from the Pork Belly appetizer to the Kulfi ice cream dessert!I cant wait to come back & bring friends!

The ambiance is very laid back, not very formal. The prices are affordable as well. The portions did not need an extra side to feel full. The service is personable and the server isnt a sales person.But lets talk about the food.It was amazing. I ordered the half chicken that comes served on a bed of caultiflower, carrots, zuchini, small potatoes, broccoli, laid in a buttery creamy flavorful sauce. As soon as it came out, I could see. It was beautiful! Perfectly seared, de-boned, butterflied, crispy golden perfection. So much flavor in both the sauce and chicken rub, but not too salty or over powering. You could taste the fresh veggies and flavor in the chicken.The creme brulee....it was the smoothest creme brulee I had ever tasted. It had the most subtle flavors that werent being overpowered by sweetness, but it was so indulgent taking big spoonfuls felt wrong.I had been on a search locally for the last week to find good food, and I found it right under my nose, tucked in a shopping center I walked by three times and didnt even notice there was a restaurant. The menu is small, but dont let that discourage you. Id try anything that chef put in front of me.Sorry, I ate the creme brulee before I could get a picture.
Hidden gem! - my life is complete after having dishes here. Highly recommend pork belly (very tender, juicy, and crusty), dumplings, and Brussels sprouts.
I can’t overstate what a fantastic find this place is and for anyone living, working or visiting the Napa area, you have to check it out. Wife and I had the asparagus appetizer, yellow lentil soup, beet salad, grilled eggplant entree, beef momo dumplings, and dessert and everything exceeded our expectations. I wish I had a better vocabulary to more precisely express how good the food is. You can tell Sonam has experience at a Michelin rated restaurant with the nuance to each dish that make them all unique and delicious. As a big fan of sweet foods in particular, I have to give a special shout out to the chocolate cake—decadent, moist and perfect w/o any added gelato or ice cream. The best I’ve ever had in 39 years as a foodie. We’re only visiting for a few days this time on our combined 8th trip to Napa, but we’re coming back here before we go home—and returning on all future visits. Best Napa restaurant and under the radar so no waiting yet! Cheers

This place is very clean with nice atmosphere and very relaxing music. The lamb shunk that I ordered was outstanding. The glass of wine, just a house wine, was delicious.
The salmon was absolutely perfect. Crispy on the outside, tender and moist on the inside. The Mustard sauce is so unique and pairs excellently. Vegetables were cooked just right as well. I also tried the Seafood Parpadelle, which was such a eccentric combination. So flavorful and the noodles had nice chew. The ambiance was delightful and service was great.

Wonderful experience. Came here a few months ago and the food was delicious. The chef came out and talked to us, shared a sate sauce he made from ghost peppers they grew in the garden beds right outside the restaurant. Will definitely come back when were in the area again.

My husband and I went to Laso for lunch today, we decided that this is our new go to restaurant. Both the indoor and outdoor areas are very inviting and calming. The decor is simple yet elegant and everything is clean. The staff is welcoming and very attentive.We ordered the brussels sprouts (not a usual choice), and Pakora (vegetable fritters) to start. Both were absolutely delicious. My favorite turned out to be the brussels sprouts. I ordered the Momo and my husband the seafood pappardelle. Ive had homemade momo and these were just as delicious, Im so happy the restaurant is so close to our house. My husband is very picky about his food, and he was very pleased with how his food looked and tasted. I was very disappointed that I didnt take pictures because the food looked beautiful. Since this will be our regular place moving forward, Ill be taking pictures next time. Our time there was limited so we didnt have dessert, but Ill be trying their Creme Brule next time we are there. The food is exceptional, and the prices are just right.This is a hidden gem in American Canyon, I wish we had more places like this locally.

Very genuine and friendly service. Excellent food. Entrees are large, high quality and perfectly cooked! Oysters and Mussels were extremely fresh and Salmon and Chicken were prepared with expertise! Much love goes into this food and establishment and you can taste it! Will definitely be back for this hidden Gem!

Happened to be in American Canyon for the first time and just randomly found this place for dinner, and OH MY...we were blown away by the quality of the food!Everything we ordered was so amazing and the details were done just right. You can tell they put a lot of effort into each dish to make them perfect. We even packed the curry sauce home after finishing the mussels. Total gem and very reasonable price for what you get!

What a wonderful meal at this delightful little restaurant. They were able to accommodate my dietary recommendations and still give me books experience including fried and flavored brussel sprout appetizer in a sizzling pan, lamb shank and my husband had what looked like a wonderful crab cake. Everything was well including garnishes to delight the eye as well as the pallet. The way Tristan and chef were also genuinely concerned with meeting my dietary requirements while still providing me a delicious meal experience I highly recommend this delightful restaurant

My husband and I stopped here for dinner on our last night in town and IT WAS A.MA.ZING. I recommend the Momo ( made fresh by hand), the steak, and the pork belly! The wine selection was good, but it was the food and the chef who stood out. Sonam came out to say hello and check if we liked spicy food so he could give us some of his chili sauce. We felt so taken care of, it made for a very special last night. We dont usually have a lot of extra money to spend, so it made all the difference to us that we felt so valued as customers!
Amazing place! Cannot say enough about the food, it is incredible! This is a hidden gem with some of the best food I have had. I travel frequently with work and have been all over and this is one of my favorite places. I was served by the owner each time I went, he is very amiable and attentive. I tried everything: momos, steak, salmon, chicken, all amazing. Worth every penny and more.
My bill was more than I signed for. $43.00+ and there was a service charge of 20% already billed for a party of only 5. Food was only ok nothing special, unsure why billing was done this was. Complaint filed with credit card already. Disappointing as I had heard many good things.As of 4/17/2022 still have not refunded my account. She wanted to argue about her adding more money to the bill. Refund my credit card. We did not give an extra tip as you already had a 20% fee on it already.
What a great place. We stopped in for dinner and were so pleased at the ambiance, food quality, and service. We had the beet salad as an appetizer, then for the main course a lamb dish and seafood pappardelle. Also tried the Nepalese dessert (can’t remember what it was called) which was fabulous. Nice wine selection as well. We will be regular patrons.
Wonderful new place in American Canyon!!! First I was blown away by the decor!!! Loved loved loved it!! I was treated to a glass of sparkling as I walked in by a very handsome man who happen to be the owner. Placed a order to go but didn’t want to leave because the staff and chef were so attentive to all my needs. Staff was very well educated on full menu, very impressed with every detail that was put into this place. Food is beautifully presented, excellent tasteWould I return? Delicious. We tried almost everything on the menu. The salmon and chicken were so moist with a crispy skin. The pork belly - DELISH. Highly recommend the Brussels sprouts & burger as well. Definitely need to return!

Came here for my birthday dinner with 6 of my friends after exploring the wineries in Napa for the day and the service here was highly commendable ! Every meal that we had was excellent from the Brussels sprouts, pork belly and beet salad for appetizers to the salmon, pappardelle, burger and steak that we had for our main meal. One of the only upscale restaurants in the area! My fiancé and I are from Portland, OR and were staying in American Canyon. We wanted to find a unique and quality place for dinner so we came to Laso. The food was great! So flavorful! I had the scallops and he had the lamb shank. Our server was very friendly too! Great place.
My brother and his boyfriend brought me and my family here for an early bday dinner... we were so excited to have an amazing new restaurant in American Canyon. We’re all a bunch of foodies... and we cannot rave enough about this restaurant!!! If I could give it more stars, I definitely would!! The whole experience was out of this world!! An amazing gem to be added to American Canyon. From the beginning you know you are going to be in good hands. Service was 10/10 food was 10/10 and the overall atmosphere was 10/10. A perfect restaraunt to host a small get together or intimate date for 2. Portion are adequate for full size plates, and the small bites are perfect to share amongst the table. Will definately be going back here again!
In town for business and stopped in for lunch. It was great! Food was delicious, presented well, and the price wasnt outrageous. Wait staff and manager (owner?) were polite and attentive as well. They said theyd only been open for a little bit, but they definitely have a great restaurant.

Great place to dine for a special occasion with your loved one. Waiter is friendly and knowledgeable of the menu. The food we ordered were magnificent and served with style. My only suggestion is that they should include the appetizer menu even on lunch hours. Reservation is highly recommended for this place is getting popular.

Came to Laso for a birthday dinner from out of town. The experience was an incredible conclusion to a long day of wine tasting and touring the NAPA area. The Brussels sprouts were heavenly, the salmon was cooked to perfection - perfect mix of tender and crunchy- truly bursting with flavor. The ambience and service were also excellent. Would definitely recommend.
We got in late and saw that they were still open. Ordered burgers that were delicious and juicy. I dont usually like the sauce but theirs added a little extra flavor that made it special. Will go back again.

Let me first start that this place is nothing short of amazing. I am from out of town and not only did the hotel recommend this restaurant but insisted... so I went and ...I am glad that I did. You see I am not from here and from the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed . Not only was the owner friendly but accommodating. Truly something that was welcoming. Well.... I proceeded to meet an adorable couple who was celebrating her birthday. I wanted to ‘Pay it forward’. And So I did. Well when the bill came, I was shocked and ticked off that the bill for this cute little couple was over $1200!!!! Panic struck and I was left with just my heart beating a million times a minute and I simply wasn’t familiar with what was at hand. So....I questioned it, raising my voice that it was absurd of the amount......yah...you get the rest. Well it turns out I did not have my #*\• readers on so the suggested tip looked like it was in the thousands but reality it wasn’t. Soooooo my long drawn out story is this.....THIS PLACE IS AMAZING!!!!! The owner not only was sympathetic but deserved a medal for even engaging in a farsighted baboon. And if you are the couple that received this gratis dinner.... please do me the solid and recommend this restaurant for you and your friends, coworkers, family. And if you are happening to come across this review....Go get some food from this place. You will NOT regret it. The setting is magical. CHEERS! BTW. Treat people with kindness. .

Wow, just wow. We have lived in Am Can for 20 years now. Several nice places to eat, but when we want something different or extra good, we usually head up to Napa. Laso is a little set back from Hwy. 29, so we didnt notice it, and hadnt bothered to google places to eat near home in years, as we thought we knew them all. Well, we didnt. Laso opened a little over a year ago, and we were really missing out. So when we finally discovered them on a google search when we were looking for new food to try, we were so happy with absolutely everything. The food was so flavorful, out of this world! We had the beet salad, the squash curry soup, the lamb shank, the eggplant and the Momo dumplings. Everything was absolutely outstanding. We split a slice of super cheesecake too. Service was fantastic and friendly. Eat local, cant recommend this place enough!!!

Where to even begin with this amazing restaurant!My husband and I were visiting from Colorado for just a weekend getaway. After a few glasses of AMAZING Pinots, we got talking to our waitress about the local wineries in the area. She was not only so sweet, attentive and wonderful to us, we felt like we had been old friends for years.Next, the food. We have never tried Nepal food before so we were a little hesitant! DONT BE. We did not have a single thing (including dessert) that we didn’t like. The chef is incredible. My husband is a very picky steak eater and he had no complaints about his New York Strip.This restaurant is the real deal- the staff is the foundation of it. Thank you Dawa for a wonderful first day in California! (We also already made a reservation to come back tomorrow....)

2023-12-10 06:28:48Wow what a great find. This was fine dining. If youre looking for unique and beautifully plated food, this is the place for you. I was online looking for oxtails. This restaurant popped up on Google. When I arrived they didnt have any oxtails.because its popular and they sold out for the day..However the owner suggested lamb shanks. I agreed and I sat down at a nice table in the corner. the atmosphere was very relaxing. Water was served out of a beautiful glass bottle into a wine glass. My meal came in a beautiful Bowl that looked like it was specifically chosen for this dish. I asked for rice on the side because I absolutely love rice with everything and it was cooked perfectly. The lamb shank was not only beautiful but it was absolutely tender and delicious. The customer service was superb. The price point was really good for the quality. Soft music played in the background and my seat was very comfortable. I will definitely be coming back to try more of their menu.

2023-11-05 17:34:12This was right near our stay at Fairfield American Canyon for our weekend at Napa. Really cute spot that had amazing flavored dishes. We came here for lunch and had a beet salad and brussel sprouts. Since it was so great, we came back for dinner. All the dishes were quite lovely and flavorful. If we’re ever back, we would come back again.

We have been at Napa/Sonoma for a few days and this restaurant has been the highlight of our meals. The crispy brussel sprouts were the best we have had in terms of crispy texture, taste, and presentation. The lamb shank was so tender, and the sauce was made with red wine and curry spices. It felt so comforting and elegant at the same time eating this dish. The waiter and owner/chef were all very kind and friendly as well. The owner has literally built this restaurant from the lights to the decorations, and cooks with passion. We immediately made reservations for tomorrow- can’t wait to try their other dishes and dessert!

Easily compare this restaurant to some of the most premium high-end restaurants in the big city charging twice as much. Every dish we ordered was perfectly executed and absolutely delicious.From the appetizers of raw oysters, pork belly, mussel curry, Brussel sprouts. Large portions, fresh ingredients, reasonable pries.Entrees was the Lugsya Curry, Seafood Pappardelle, New York Steak. The lugs hurry was the highlight by far with a massive whole lamb shank combined with a delicious curry that paired perfectly with the soft fluffy rice. Pappardelle was nicely cooked with great texture and deep seafood flavor. NY Steak was traditional and well cooked at a fraction of the price of a traditional steakhouse.Even the deserts were well-executed and not left behind with a chocolate cake, creme brûlée and a traditional Kulfi (ice cream) all leaving behind a vivid dream of a delicious night of food.This place is well worth a stop and you MUST stop by if youre traveling around this area. Fast and Friendly service and no wait to be seated at 5pm on the Friday before Christmas weekend.

2022-03-18 04:11:44This little restaurant is amazing! I started with the vegetable fritters. They were huge AND delicious! I had a great New York steak with their deep fried bridle sprouts. Truly mouth watering.The chocolate cake was too much, but I ate it anyway!

2020-09-04 19:10:35Wife and I had an excellent dinner at the outdoor tables. The service was very friendly. The appitizers were great. We had the lamb and steak for dinner, the seasoning flavors were wonderful and the both were cooked perfectly. Dessert was lovely. We are definitely going to have to make a return.

2021-01-21 15:21:42Ordered take out from here on Christmas Eve. The food was impeccable! I so wish I could have a nice dine-in meal here, because when I went in to pick up, the ambience was really lovely and the staff person on deck was super duper nice. Some day! In the meantime, the food stands up well to take away service (and very neatly plated in takeout boxes!), so I will keep ordering from here. I want to try everything on the menu!
