Lavender Inn in Ojai

Our stay was amazing! The Lavender Inn is not only very beautiful, it feels like home. We love Ojai and the many things to do there, but we couldnt wait to get back to the Lavender Inn and spend time there. Elizabeth is so kind and accommodating. The spa services are the best, 5 star 🌟 for sure. Kaly gave me the best massage I have ever had. Our dog loved the place and running around the large backyard. They are very dog friendly. The rooms are beautiful. Full amenities. We loved our stay so much we booked again for next month. This place books up fast so you have to book in advance. This was a true experience we will never forget.

This amazing retreat was the perfect hideaway for us trying to do a getaway/staycation! I have stayed here a couple of times in the cute rooms in the Inn, however my most recent trip I was able to stay in the cottage. OMG! I have to say, it was amazing! Not only was the service and food top notch, there is a private outdoor patio for my husband and I to have happy hour in the privacy of our own space. The grounds at the Lavender Inn are lovely, and I enjoy lounging outside, but to have your own private patio... over the top! The cottage was also so spacious and I felt like it was a home away from home! The staff at Lavender Inn were there to make sure we had everything we needed... and we did... I love my tea, and they made sure I had it.I love this little haven, walking distance to amazing restaurants, and shopping... and just 30 min from Ventura!

Oh my gosh!! Wow!! I was gifted a full spa day experience here, and it was easily one of the best experiences of my life. Kali was my therapist for the day, she was so kind and caring. We started off with an incredible foot soak/massage in the garden. There were butterflies fluttering around, birds chirping. The energy was unreal. We continued on with my full body massage, Kali was so caring, and does incredible work. She communicates well, and speaks softly. I felt so safe and cared for with her. After massage I enjoyed a light lunch in the garden, with a very handsome boy named Mister. (Mister is a cat, I love cats.) After lunch Kali brought me to Aubrey for my facial, and again, WOW!! Aubrey is so sweet, and you can feel her love and light as soon as you step in. The facial includes local, and natural products. They all smelled great, and I felt so relaxed I think I fell asleep. These girls are a master of their craft, and I am so overjoyed and grateful for this incredible experience. Thank you thank you!!! I cant wait to come back!

We stayed here for 2 nights in October 2023 with our dog. We stayed in the cottage and the pictures do not do it justice at all! The cottage is very spacious and the living room area is very inviting and comfortable. The fully fenced backyard is relaxing and the French door leading from the bedroom and from the living room into the cottage are dreamy! The bed is super comfy and they are very dog friendly: they provided bowls, treats, poop bags and a dog bed. We very much appreciated this! The breakfast was okay, although I wish I had known that they also have yoghurt and granola instead of baked goods every morning. The location is great, there’s a supermarket in front of the inn and it’s close to a lot of restaurants and shops in Ojai. The cottage truly was amazing and it did not feel old at all. Very well restored and very comfortable. Would recommend! Giving 4 stars instead of 5 because I would have loved to have a better breakfast for the price you pay. I would love to give 4.5 but that isn’t possible.

My wife and I had two wonderful days there. Logistics: although we booked a month in advance, the Inn is quite busy and so we had to use different rooms each night. The staff made the transition between rooms easy and seamless, and both rooms were lovely, unique and sparkling clean. Experience: we were thankful for the evening wine serving after a day of travel, but the mornings breakfast on the garden patio was a highlight! The continental offerings were varied and tasty, and the coffee just right in a pastoral setting that started both days on a high note. Ojai: The Inn is located in the charming downtown, steps from shops, restaurants, galleries, live music and people watching as the town was setting up for a holiday parade.Well look forward to returning again!

Everything was perfect at the Lavender Inn in beautiful Ojai. The gardens were gorgeous, so lush and lovely where we enjoyed delicious breakfasts (carrot cake was fantastic) and relaxed with a book in the afternoons. We were slightly high-maintenance; arrived late due to flight delays, changed rooms mid stay, and needed a quiet space for a Zoom meeting. All of these accommodations were met with kindness from the attentive staff and Innkeeper Beth. She left wine for us upon our after hours arrival, transferred our luggage to the new room, and provided the use of the inn library to take care of business. The rooms were extremely comfortable, cozy beds and bedding, and sparkling clean in an historic setting. Massage and spa right on the property. What more could you ask?Great restaurants, shopping and music are steps away from the Lavender Inn. Cant wait to go back and recommend it highly.

First time guest I felt like I got the best room in the house. The only issue was the earthquake at 4:30 am. Ojai was the epicentre, but everyone was quite chill about it Apart from that the bathroom is clean. I have my own balcony and the bed was very comfortable. I wish we had individual Aircon so I could turn it off as it was a quite a bit cold at night. Breakfast was lovely on the patio, beautiful yoghurt, parfait, orange juice, coffee and a beautiful black kitten. Highly recommend going to the spa. I had a facial and a massage and it was worth every dollar! I’m planning on going back it was so good!!It was tricky getting an Ubers from Ojai think most people have their own cars. But apart from that the location was perfect. The staff are very helpful. Other guests were courteous and friendly, and they had a wine happy hour in evening!!

Was just here the other weekend for a trip with my sister. I believe we were in the cozy retreat room which has two beds, and it was perfect for us. I’ve been to this bnb before so I knew I was going to love it again. The staff are the friendliest, the (outside) cats & dogs are so sweet, and the grounds are beautiful and invite ease. If you’re looking for a gorgeous and peaceful place to stay in ojai, definitely try here.

My friend and I planned a “girls’ getaway” this past week and stayed two nights at the Lavender Inn. We were in a room with a shared bathroom. Yes – you read correctly – a bathroom that was shared with one other room. It’s the only room in the Inn with 2 beds – and to be perfectly honest, I did not read the fine print about the shared bathroom. Given that it’s 2023, it never occurred to me that I should ASK if the rom had a bathroom. That being said, it was my bad and we made the best of it. It also never occurred to us to ask if the room had a TV – but it did not. So live and learn. Anyway, below are our thoughts. Overall it was a nice stay and we MIGHT be back (in a room with its own bathroom and TV!!) Some of the suggestions below are small changes that we really believe would make a big difference when it comes to repeat customers.PROS• GREAT LOCATION! Three-minute walk to some fantastic restaurants and fun shopping.• Beautiful grounds – a real oasis and lots of spots to curl up with a good book.• The Spa was wonderful!! The massage with citrus scrub was heavenly!• June, the resident dog, and the little cat were darling.• Comfortable beds – nice linens and towels. Overall a very clean home.SUGGESTIONS• We were two individual, independent adults. Two keys please!! We both had separate spa appointments so we were not together when one of us needed to open the front door of the Inn.• Regarding the shared bathroom. The claim that it’s “disinfected daily” is a stretch. Someone came in and emptied the trash but did not replace the used toiletries, throw out the dead flowers or replace the tissues that were used up. PLEASE PUT A CANNISTER OF LYSOL WIPES IN THE SHARED BATHROOM and let us guests have a little control over the “disinfecting” process. Also, trying to remember to bring your own towels from the room was a pain. Maybe put up 4 hooks…. Room 5 #1 – Room 5 #2 – Room 6 #1 – Room 6 #2…. so guests can hang their towel in the bathroom without worrying a stranger will use it.• The wine at 4:30pm is a nice touch, but for heaven’s sake how hard would it be to put out a few crackers and maybe a few slices of cheese??!!• The “Continental Breakfast” is quite sad. The first morning we were there it was literally a plastic bag of bread and a plastic bag of bagels, some butter, jam and hard-boiled eggs in the shells. The second day there was more of a selection of pastries – but still not very inviting. How about a selection of cereals and maybe a few yogurts and/or berries?

Just back from a 41st wedding anniversary trip and so glad we picked this special place. Already booked our return in August for hubbys 70th birthday in the 1000 square foot cottage with a private garden which isnt even that much more expensive than our room with a private balcony. So excited! From start to finish they do everything right! Everybody there is friendly and efficient and make you feel like youre comfortable in your own home. The continental breakfast and wine hour is high quality. So nice to know of a getaway that does everything right. Thank you and keep up the great work!
