This is a great restaurant! Its dog themed and theres a big outdoor space for you to sit with your dog if youre bringing them to lunch with you. There are really cute dog photos hung up around the restaurant! The sandwich I had was really tasty and my friend enjoyed his too. The fries were really crispy and definitely my favorite thing I ate there. The banana pudding however, was really bad so I wouldnt recommend it. It was flavored with artificial banana flavor which is... gross. But the service was awesome, the entrées were great, and I enjoyed the atmosphere!

We went here as we wanted to have a meal with our puppy. This was her first time at a restaurant and she was really happy. The food was yummy. They had a very wide variety of selection. Also the wait time was not long at all as they have good seating capacity between indoor and patio. They have heaters on the patio and its really comfortable to sit and eat there. When we got our drinks the waiter also got a bowl of water for our puppy. Highly recommend this place.

My daughter and I took my five-year-old granddaughter to Lazy Dog for a Girls Day Out. Shes a bit picky but loved the kids hamburger meal with fresh fruit and lemonade. My daughter enjoyed one of the rice bowls, and I chose the cheeseburger with red mashed potatoes from the gluten-free menu, which was terrific. Easy access from the 101 and usually plenty of free parking. The service was first rate! If anything is not just right, they will bend over backwards to correct it. Although we dined inside because it was a windy day, they have a lovely patio out back where pets are welcomed as valued guests.

Very relaxing on their outdoor patio, even though they crowd everybody together. $20 chicken bowl was pretty light on chicken but it had a good flavor. Good beer selection and service was excellent.

Drove out here to see a show next door. The staff was extremely friendly. They gave us free potato chips just for it being our first time here. Peanut butter jelly burger was great! Who would have thought.. both Logans bartenders great. The manager very nice

Came to the Oxnard collection to go window shopping and wanted to do lunch so came to the Lazy Dog Restaurant.We were seated in a timely manner, service was nice. We both decided to order from the lunch menu that had plenty of choices.I chose the half sandwich with fries and salad. There was 3 different Sandwich choices, 3 different salad choices or you could have soup instead salad.The 5 Cheese Grilled Cheese sandwich was amazing, the fries were fresh & the Wedge salad was outstanding!

My husband and I had lunch there last Monday and it was amazing! The staff was amazing our waiter was super nice and he gave really great suggestions as it was our first time there. We also had the pleasure of meeting the manager and he made our experience there so much better. Hands down the best customer service weve had. Now the food. I have to say we were able to try quite a few items including dessert (not featured as it was to go). Every single thing we ordered was delicious. The calamari is on a league of its own on uniqueness and taste. The pink sauce on my pasta was so delicious and creamy. We hadnt even finished our meal and started planning our next trip to eat here. So excited to go again definitely worth our 2 and a half hour drive.

Went to the Lazy Dog at around 9pm on a Wednesday night. The place had a great lively atmosphere. We got seated right away. The basketball game was on all the screens. Got served our drinks immediately. I ordered the fried chicken dinner with roasted red potato mash and a salad. My friend had the pot roast dinner. Both were on point. The chicken was crispy on the outside and moist and juicy on the inside. It had some sweetness when it hit the mouth. The potatoes were seasoned perfect. The pot roast was cooked perfectly. Didnt even need a knife. Overall experience was awesome. Price was not over the top I think it was $70 including tip for the both of us. We didnt drink alcohol or Im sure our bill would have been much higher.

Loved this place!!, A very western outdoor vibe. I went with a friend for dinner, very busy, very popular. Great food, great service!! I had a Jamaican lemonade (picture), and the dirty dog (picture) and a butter cake for dessert (no picture). Definitely will go back the next time I visit Oxnard CA!!!

We stopped in for a quick lunch and were really surprised by how good the meats and the sauces were. I would like to have had some hot side options like mashed potatoes or vegetables instead of the cold salad options only, but it kept the meat the star of the dish. The sauces are vinegar and spice heavy which it exactly how I like it. They are very spicy, just a heads up. The tri-tip was my favorite but the pulled pork and chicken were good too.

Lazy Dog has a wonderful ambiance. I can see it perfect for dinners as the interior creates this cabin-like feeling of being in the woods in the middle of Oxnard.Staff was excellent and attentive that is pleasant to interact with.They have an abundance of food to choose from in their menu. They also serve Bison meat. I have never had Bison and my first experience of it was good. I wish I got the Bison burger instead of the meatloaf. Thai noodles were also good and was very wet and had a lot of sauce to it.Only got 4 stars from me because there was a fly in out area and it wouldn’t stop bugging us.

Went to Lazy Dog, with my dad for a late fathers day gift. They had, an awesome special called Ale yeah beer dinner. #LDBeerDinner. It was awesome, the server picks the first beer, while we choose from a list of starters. We chose buffalo cauliflower. Yummy. Then we choose a dish each, from the list. My dad chose the Thai noodles and i chose the creamy dijon chicken...oh lordy the portions were huge. But they gave a another beer, and then we shared a dessert. Apple and huckle berry open face pie. It was awesome. Will go again. Oh i forgot, they gave us a 6 pack for free...oh yeah you know who took that..Good ole dad...lol

On a stop back from a road trip to Santa Barbara we came across this place called lazy dog restaurant. Now we always come to the collection since my dad has a Tesla and we always charge it here on the way back. Anyhow the location is pretty good as it’s close to a beach and it’s right next to the 101 freeway. The lazy dog is in one of the hearts of Oxnard. The service here is pretty polite as the waiters in the past have been friendly and came to our table with smiles on their faces in the past. The food here is absolutely impeccable. I got a Cesar salad and it was the best Cesar of my life. The flavor is perfect and everything about it is perfect. I’d recommend it. But what I love most about this place is how it’s the most dog friendly place in the world. My dog got the hamburger beef patty with rice and corn and he destroyed it in the matter of 20 seconds, and for 5 dollars it’s a steal. He ate it so fast that we decided to get him another hamburger patty. Overall this place is great would highly recommend

I absolutely loved this place my husband and I stopped on the way up north to visit my Grandparents house. The food was amazing we ended up splitting a burger with fries and another plate of fries that had sauce. I wish I submitted my review sooner cause I cant remember what fries they were but anyhoo.The waitress seen our baby and offered fruit for him which I thought was very nice.

Went there yesterday with my daughter and husband after her dentist appointment. Amazing experience. Food was great. Customer service was great. I think the manager is a mind reader. My husband forgot to order the waffle chip things he seen online and as we were talking about it the manager came up with them. They were delicious. Will definitely be going back when we head back that way.

This restaurant is clean and provides plenty of parking because it is in a shopping complex. The staff although friendly were slow in taking our drink order but our waiter Jameson was on point after that. I truly enjoyed my dinner although I wanted to avoid certain things because I was on the fence, i.e. spicy maple syrup and white gravy (sometimes your meal just gets saturated with it). I ordered the fried chicken dinner which was hand-dipped buttermilk boneless chicken breast, red skin potato mash, white gravy, spiced maple syrup, sautéed spinach with smoked bacon. OMG heavenly. Our teen ordered the flank iron steak (she enjoyed it) with strawberry lemonade. First one that actually had real strawberries. My husband had the chicken parmesan. He thought the pasta was dry but I think this is an easy fix with asking for extra pasta sauce. Would definitely dine here again.

I went with my wife and her parents and what a great experience. I wish I had grabbed the waiters name but he was kind and helpful. He was quick on service and refills without hovering. Never felt like we were ever really waiting.The food was great, the portion of the cup of soup, my wife said it felt never ending. She ate her fill and it looked like she barely touched it.I had the pot roast dip sandwhich. It was Devine, flavorful, filling and affordable. Came here for some appetizers and a drink around 9pm on a Friday. Busy but quick seating and fast service! I got the Queso Dip, Bacon Candy, and some of their Sangria. My server was Nate and he recommended a blend of the White Peach with the Raspberry, and it was super refreshing! Nate was super friendly, quick, attentive, and had a lot of good recommendations!Would definitely come here again for a meal with the family or even just a late night snack and drink!

Nice setting for lunch on a summer day. I wish the food and service were the same. My wife’s Mediterranean Salad had overcooked chicken and the rice was dry with some of it crunchy. The waitress came by early on before we had gotten to far into the meal otherwise we would have shared about the food. We didn’t see her again until near the end of our meal, my wife is too nice to complain so I just asked for a refill of my coke which never came. I’ve eaten at the one on Brea and had a good experience but this location was lacking in food quality and service.

This restaurant is located at The collection Plaza. Good luck finding parking. From all the amazing restaurants we landed here at Lazys. Once we stepped in we were sat down by our hostess. The atmosphere was amazing. Thursday night football in the background and many people having a blast. I ordered a queso dip which was really good and for my main dish I got the Thai noodles. The portions were big and speaking as a big guy, I didnt finish it. You definitely get your bang for your buck. The menu is mad eout of real leather. I was just in awe of this place. Lets start with the service, my wife and I arrived at the entrance to be seated were ignored by half the staff, ten minutes later were seated by this nice Hispanic lady, she treated us really well. I give this place 3 stars because the manager came out to apologize for the wait. Now for the food, they have a plain cheeseburger with a medium rare patty, they also have a Baja California burger. They both tasted great. For an appetizer we got the waffle cone chips. The service could be way better. But the burgers hands down the best in town.

Delicious food, great service, large portion size. Me and my wife shared the vegetarian burger. Was one of the better vegetarian burgers we have had. Sweet potato tater tots were amazing! The pineapple upside down cake was also very delicious. The hot cake with pineapple slices (do they bake it fresh?) paired wonderfully with the cold vanilla ice cream.

My mom and I just had dinner here tonight. It was a rough day with a lot of work se we needed the rest from cooking.Our waitresses were Cy and Tia. Cy was wonderful in answering our big question of can we swap meat out for a vegetarian option? It’s a big deal especially when all the salads contain meat and none that is just vegetarian. She said yes! Also let us know that there probably would be a price difference but in our favor. Then as she went off to her break, Tia was covering and did an awesome job! I recently dined at BJs Restaurant & Brewhouse, and I must say it was a fantastic experience. The happy hour food items are good if you are looking for something to munch on while you drink. Our server was awesome she was upbeat and very attentive. Our drinks and food came out quickly. Guess it depends on what day u go for the better food. Went on a Friday night food seemed really good but wait was long to get seated. Went again in a Tuesday night got seated immediately but the food wasnt as good for some reason. Ribs, Mac and Cheese, Candy Bacon good on Friday, mediocre on Tuesday. Steak semi bland (1st time trying on Tuesday), Pork Shank good but definitely SPICY.

Service was always on point and the food was consistent. That is key in my perspective.Then after a while things went down hill... it was hit or miss.Well, post COVID and I feel like Lazy Dog has finally gotten back on track. So much that this review had to come.Joined the beer club which gave me lots of perks and benefits! Savings too! Get your info and join!Food:Ordered the wings and the queso on happy hour.They were good but I feel the like I should have ordered wings extra crispy. The queso was great at first but it got cold quickly and the clumps made it a little unappetizing. Main course, was the black and blue burger with seasoned fries (hightly recomend the fries) the burger was cooked well. Med rare as I like it. Wee-bit too much blue cheese but it was very tasty. Nice cold beer it go along with my delicious meal.But seriously the highlight of my visit was my amazing waiter!!! He was attentive and had good recommendations. Great food and even better service. The workers are super quick to follow through on anything you ask for. The appetizers come out practically right after you order and they are delicious (we got the biscuits and gravy as well as the donut wholes). We used to love coming here as a family, but the service is absolutely awful we had to get up and leave because we were seated for thirty minutes with no service but a table in front of us were seated and within 5 minutes were helped and greeted by a server. I’m not sure if it was racially motivated for them to not help us, but I will never come back to this location after years of loyalty.

This place is perfect for a family dinner or quick date night. They have a huge menu, almost overwhelming but in a great way. Bar seating makes it so you never have to wait too long. Staff is always friendly and service is fairly quick compared to other places in the shopping center. Their butter cake is a must try for dessert!

Fast seating during busy weekend lunch hour. Tons of options on the menu. It was a bit challenging finding Keto options. While my fellow Keto diner and I struggled to order a meal with no carbs or sugar, our observant, intuitive, friendly, helpful, and experienced server, Charlene, asked if we were Keto. She coincidentally happened to also follow the Keto lifestyle! What luck we had to have her be the one to take our order! She recommended the Brussels sprouts appetizer without croutons, and add shrimp. The portion size wasn’t ginormous so it was perfect for someone watching how much they eat (and not needing to take home leftovers). The flavors were mouth-watering delicious and I wish I didn’t live so far away because I could easily crave this often! I love how the kitchen can cater to our dietary needs. Wishful suggestion: add a dietary guide/legend be added to the menu (Keto, gluten free, paleo, etc) and perhaps add more Keto options. No matter what, we’d definitely return here when stopping by Oxnard again.

Visited this restaurant a few times during my visit to the Oxnard area. Great place if youre looking for a restaurant open late. The food was great with every visit, but service was variable and inconsistent depending on who our server was. Everyone was friendly though; just difference in service quality. There is rarely a wait to be seated during the later hours. Great variety of menu choices. Parking was convenient and easy. Overall good place.

Very gracious and kind. I took my mother in law, 94 years young, and they sat us near the door, took care of her walker, and were kind enough to repeat everything...loudly....and wait patiently for her answer. We had a thai noodle dish with tofu and shrimp and peanuts... The tofu pieces could have been larger they made that too small in the sauce. The shrimps were cooked very good and the noodles were just right overall. This dish was good and all 3 of us had the same dish slightly overpriced for what it was but a good sized portion. We had a very nice lunch with family and our little dog. They have from scratch kitchen so making modifications to their offerings is something you can request. I had the bison burger and I enjoyed it. Everyone liked the food. They also have a dog menu so for about $5 your dog can enjoy lunch with you. There are rules for the dogs: no sitting on your lap or chair, no aggressive behavior, etc. Overall, I enjoyed it and will return with my dog. My photo shows my happy dog on a chair, but then I read the rules... so he spent the rest of lunch on the ground.

Really interesting menu items and all quite good. Butter cake - be careful, you may just go back for that.This place has become a go-to. Had dinner tonight and it was very good. Service was excellent- our waiter Antonio was extremely pleasant.Got to go there on the weekend for the $5 bloody Marys that are great!

Visited for the first time and I am gonna say I will be coming back, the food was great, the environment was very nice, the staff was very nice which is a rarerity here in the United States. Came here to celebrate Mothers Day with my girlfriend, mother in law, and her two little sisters. I tried the Bison burger since I never had bison before and I am hooked, I loved it way more than beef burgers, it didnt feel heavy, nor greasy, and it was well seasoned, and the sweet potato tots were great too.

First and foremost this restaurant has EXCEPTIONAL service. The waitress was attentive, polite, and helpful when helping us decide between dishes. Dinner itself was also really good, I was impressed. The food tasted flavorful, the portions were big and the combination of the sides truly truly complemented the main dish. They change their menus seasonally, so I felt as if I was getting what was really in season at the time of my dinner service ( fresh greens + crunchy carrots ). Management was even passing out complementary potato crisps. Being my first time there, I am now inclined to visit more often!

Fun people. Easy going bar. I had to stay long because its a good place to hang and I had a buddy in town from across the world. They softly kicked us out at some point because staff has to close and go home too, but they were very nice about it. Good bar and good team.

Really good happy hour! They have a wide range of bar food selections. The chicken Chipotle quesadilla is awesome! Make sure when you order to go you check your order before you leave. They use a corporate number and they really dont care if the order is accurate. Service is great though, if you done in!

The lemon chicken is a “must try” especially if you’re on low carb diet. It’s so delicious and full of flavors. Ask for Kelsey, she was our excellent server. This place is so dog friendly. We were able to bring our Husky and Kelsey was attentive to her, bringing her fresh water. I live in TX but should I ever be here again, I will be back at this place.

Indeed, the service has changed since the pandemic but the quality of the food and drinks are still excellent! It took a while before I was waited on buy my waitress. She was apologetic and was intentived for the rest of my visit. My assumption is that they are understaffed. The menu has a few more items but seems smaller. Although, be prepared to wait to be seated and it will take a while. My visit was during the weekday. I didnt have to wait long but after being seated more people in groups started to arrive. So, I can only imagine how busy it gets during the weekends. Nonetheless, lets get back to normal and give this place a shot!

Things have changed since the last time we ate here. 😕 I was looking forward to the chicken salad sandwich that my husband had here in June. It did not have any nuts or raisins in it like the menu described. Also it came with a side, which I ordered fruit. I would have ordered a salad if I knew that the fruit would only be one small piece of watermelon!!

I have been here a few times and I like the overall ambiance of the place. But to be of the times that I have been there I have not been impressed. The choice of spirits is good and they have really great craft beers, however the food is that not great. It doesnt taste horrible either, its good but just not entirely satisfying. The server I had the last time that I was there, perhaps they were having an off day as we all do, but it just didnt really seem like they wanted to be there, the other servers there that day were much more attentive. As stated previously, it is are really cool place to go and have a drink but their menu could use some sprucing up.

Love the food and service here. Always something new to try and its always good. It can get busy, but never too long a wait for a hot meal and sweet cocktails. Appetizers are great for lite lunch or happy hour time to relax and let them cook if you get a chance. Family atmosphere too.

Given we are still required to wear masks, this was an outstanding experience. We dined inside where all tables, booths, and the bar were set up for social distancing. Food was good, service was good and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. This was our first time dining out since the beginning of 2020. Highly recommended!

Came here on a weekday for a business lunch. Service was fast and friendly, but the food was mediocre at best. Half of the avocado in my Cobb salad was rotten, something I wouldnt expect from such a large restaurant that must go though avocados rapidly? The shredded chicken in the salad also had a funny flavor, like it had been sitting in a fridge too long. There are too many restaurants in the area that serve similar menus, so I wont bother to return.

We tried the Lazy Dog because it was close to the Tesla supercharger. I was suspicious when I saw the length of the menu (is there anything they dont serve?). But all four of us were really happy with our food: a burger, fettuccini with Alfredo, fried chicken salad, and chicken parmesan. The place was really busy and noisy, but thats what you expect in a bar restaurant. Service was great.

Busy location but you should be able to snag an inside table in short order. The staff is both friendly and knowledgeable. The food arrives promptly, cooked to order. The environment is pleasing in both lighting and noise aspects. Dining here is a relaxing yet non-wallet-busting affair. Enjoy!
