Le Marais Bakery in Mill Valley

This review is about dinner/lunch specifically.I have lived in Mill Valley for 3+ years and this is now my favorite dinner spot - and I’ve tried them all.Best burger I’ve had in years, maybe ever, and I’ve had my fair share in my life. Scallops dish incredible. French onion soup delicious.I had low expectations (“the bakery is doing dinner now?”) but it exceeded everything.

First time eating at the restaurant but I ordered take out a few times before.The ambiance is a bit noisy for my taste. Long wait to order. Ordering feels a bit rushed. The food is delicious and it is no doubt about it. The staff was nice and the food was prepared in a good amount of time.The pastries were so yummy! Outside seating is nice.Family friendlyPet friendly$$$Parking lot available for free.

Updating this review because I ended up coming here two days in a row. Best breakfast ever and they have wonderful people working here. The food served here is maybe the best in the area. Definitely coming back the next time I’m around SF/ Marin .

Wonderful French bakery in Mill Valley! We had the French onion burger, the Turkey club, crab Benedict and Asian chicken salad. Everything was delicious! The chocolate almond croissant and bouchon were also excellent! The food came out quickly although the person taking the orders was clearly overworked. They definitely need to hire someone else to make drinks or take orders, it’s not fair for one person to do it all,because she was overwhelmed and then customers have long waits and get upset.

Super big filaments, layers were a bit lacking and cinnamon a tad overly sweet. Coffee was a bit dark too. Pretty decor and interior though!

Once a month I drive from San Francisco to experience the taste of France. This location has consistently excellent service, a fantastic atmosphere, and delicious cuisine. I originally was a patron at their Chestnut Street location, which sadly closed. I am thankful that I still have the opportunity to enjoy this hidden gem. Today we enjoyed the brunch for two, which came with two pastries, and bought a double chocolate brownie - all for less than 50$. A great deal in today’s economy! I leave satisfied and am already looking forward to my next visit.

Bon!! My first time in a French Bakery & Bistro. First time trying French food and I was not disappointed! I had my first Croque Monsieur and WOW this is a tasty sandwich!! Much like a Monte Cristo but much classier!! The food and atmosphere here are wonderful. Clearly staffed by French folks with a truly amazing assortment of pastries! Highly recommended!

Casual place to come visit once every other bakery is out of goods. Although this place was out of croissants as well.Asian salad was an average, and heads up, they serve a dark roast coffee so it is bitter. Avocado croissant toast, on the other hand, had a relatively decent taste. Nothing above average though.Interior is slightly cold and can use a bit of a warm touch.Overall OK, but not more than three stars.

Salad was great. They messed up two people at our table’s coffee order twice and the person was spicy about it. Which, like what? It was your mistake. To quote they said “here you go I’m not making it again” Tbh, the dining area was dirty. Not in a we just had a rush was but in a we don’t clean this very well way. The outside space is beautiful and if I were to return I’d opt for that.

I have eaten dinner here 3 times and highly recommend it. The service is excellent and it is one of the few places in which conversation is easy and relaxed because they do not assault you with loud music. I personally love the hamburger, served on a croissant with French fries on the side. The cod tonight was also excellent. Both Oliver and Mohammed were friendly, attentive and gave us excellent service!
