Pho soup contains MSG and got rashes but I guess it is common to add MSG in Asian restaurants. Shrimp roll doesn’t have MSG and it tastes good and fresh with the sauce. In total I would recommend the restaurant, the seating is spacious and high ceiling makes a nice dining vibe.

Great food! I got the grilled chicken rice plate and it was one of the best grilled chicken I’ve eaten, amazing flavor. The spring rolls were fresh and delicious and the coconut shaved ice was tasty and sweet.

Came in for lunch on a chilly day and ordered pho ga w wide noodles (chicken pho), bo luc lac (shaking beef), and a viet coffee. Everything was so!! yummy!!The broth was clear and soothing and the chicken wasn’t tough at all. The beef was *super* tender and might be the best bo luc lac I’ve had at a restaurant. Fresh viet coffee is always a treat, and it is definitely strong.The interior is clean and bright, and the staff are kind and welcoming! Easily will be back many times in the future :-)

Loved my experience here! The interior is comfortable and the staff was extremely friendly. We got the no. 20 large pho and no. 78 rice vermicelli salad. Would definitely come back.

Food is pretty good, prices not so much. There are plenty of great Pho restaurants in the SF/East Bay offering fare of equal quality and far greater quantity. Spent $62 on two clam shells of noodles, half a container of calamari (a $10 container of calamari cleverly packed with wedge of lime INSIDE the box) and three beverages. Not particularly budget friendly -- head up the road to Super Super Pho for great food, relaxed atmosphere and awesome staff.

Excellent pho gaa! Will be back again for another! Sweet happy wait persons. SCORE!3/6/21Not so great today. Shimp spring rolls smelled and tasted old and not enough dipping sauce. Could not taste any peanut flavor at all. Need to step flavor up and include 2 small containers or 1 large or cut order in half.Thought about making my own sauce for the other half but threw them in compost since they were already a little funky.Last time the noodles were skinny rice noodles in the Pho Ga. This time it was the large flat noodles that are good for saucy stir fry but too much for Pho ga imo. Really skimped on the peppers and bean sprouts for a large order.Also ordered the 42- Flat or Pan Fried Seafood-Hu Tieu Xao Hai San and asked for super spicy and although it was the best of the 3 items, it was far from spicy hot. Not even close.Recommend asking for extra sirancha sauce. There was 4 and that was not nearly enough for this much food.Would have made up for a some of the lack of heat.Couldnt help thinking that could have had a organic roasted chicken for 1/4th the price and got 3 meals out of it.Still enjoyed the joyful order taker person.Did enjoy hearing the wok sizzling in the back when cooking it.Might try the Pho ga again but will make sure to specify thin rice noodle and extra jalapenos and go regular size.

Food was very good! The only reason I gave them a four was because of the service. The less than stellar service was as a result of how busy they were. Every facet of the restaurant was busy and moving as fast as they could. I would recommend it. I had the combo Pho and Fresh Spring Rolls. Both very good!

The service is good... but the food just isnt great. Im based nearby so Ive been three times. Summer rolls are the best item Ive had, but bun and pho both just werent as flavourful as Id hope. Not enough tofu & good veggies, too much cabbage and iceberg lettuce.

Firstly, this review is based on a DoorDash delivery experience. This was my first time ordering from this restaurant.I wish I had gotten pictures of the packaging and the food itself because wow its worthy.I ordered the build your own pho bowl with flank, brisket and rare steak. When the order arrived, the broth was still very hot, so shoutout to my Dasher for that, as well as the restaurant for serving it up piping hot.Once I assembled my bowl, it was clear that the portion size was very generous. I took my first bite and was pleased. As I continued and the flavors began to build I was surprised at how delicious everything was. The meat was cooked well, not overdone. The broth had so much flavor and depth. And also they managed my requests for extra veggies as well as extra chili oil on the side.Unfortunately, the bowl was too big for me to finish because I wasnt feeling great. But WOW was it wonderful! I typically order chicken pho whenever I order any because its been consistent for me. Since I was trying a new place, I figured Id try everything as new and Im so glad I did. I will absolutely be ordering again and hopefully I can go in and sit down to eat so I can have it extra hot and fresh.Great job to the team here. Thank you so much for a positive experience. Excellent vietnamese spot with tons of vegetarian options - they have a completely vegetarian section of their menu! We ordered the spicy vegetarian vermicelli soup, the lemongrass tofu, and the pan fried noodles. The soup was fabulously spicy and hit the spot on a chilly evening. The lemongrass tofu was an incredible burst of flavor. But our favorite dish was the pan fried noodles: these wide, crispy noodles were seriously delicious and texturally delightful. Highly recommend!

I love this place. The large is only $1 more so I always get it. Sure it is a little difficult to pour it into the to-go container, but so worth it. The pho is delicious and fresh and the staff is friendly. There is not a whole lot of seating or street parking so I always get here before noon to beat the rush.If you leave early and beat the rush, this is a great lunch option that is super reasonable for the area!

The vibe is nice, lots of natural light. Service was quick. I wanted to give this place more stars but the meal was honestly quite meh. The iced tea (tra da) was $4 and tasted nothing like any tra da Ive ever had (lived in Saigon for 3 years). The Bun Thit Nuong (vermicelli noodles with pork) was more iceberg lettuce than noodles. :(Holding out hope for the other dishes 🤞

Unfortunately we werent able to try the bahn mi since they were out of ingredients. Instead we tried the lemongrass tofu dish and it was absolutely fantastic. The pho was pretty good too. I just felt the place was a bit overpriced for what it was offering. But overall good food.

Had a great experience the Pho was delicious, staff is very kind and friendly. One thing that stood out to me was the size of the bowls. The offer large or small and I could not tell the difference between the two. If you want to save 1 Dollar and get big meal, just go for the small one. I think the staff even get confused by the bowl size cause I swear it was a large one but I paid dollar less.

Ive had many bowls of pho in my life and this one stands out as an evolution of authentic pho. Ive never had brisket in pho this tender—its on the fattier side and just melts in your mouth. The bowl was piping hot when it came out, just as it should be served. 👌 its my new favorite bowl

The person at the register didn’t know the menu, I specifically said well done brisket and well done flank and he gave me something completely different and said that the well done brisket and well done flank were not on the menu. They were unable to change it because they closed right after. Now I have rare meat in my food (which I can’t eat) and the money I spent is wasted. Next time study your menu.

Pretty good bun Bo hue. Ambiance is casual (at first I thought I had to order at the counter, but in fact its sit down), clean, and even a bit trendy. Vermicelli salad pork was a bit salty. Pho broth is also good! The best Ive had in Berkeley so far (though thats not saying much).

Ive eaten here several times and brought friends. The food is very good. I like the broken rice dishes and the vermicelli salads. I especially like the fresh-made drinks, such as the carrot-orange juice. This last visit made me wonder about the Asian middle-aged male waiter, whom I dont think Ive seen before. He hung around the table next to me, where 3 men ate lunch. He asked them whether they worked at a nearby tire store, whether business was good, whether they were working especially hard now, etc. It seemed a little forward. When my bill arrived, I remember thinking about how Id pay the $22.94 owed. I thought I wont leave $25 because the change would not be enough to cover a tip. I decided to leave $40, two $20 bills. I definitely looked at the two bills (I keep $20 bills together, $10 together and $5 together). The waiter scooped up the money the instant I put it on the little plastic tray. He gave me $2 and 6 cents change. He left, so I frantically talked to a waitress who was eating her lunch. I explained I was given change for $25, not $40. She very nicely gave me $17 to make up for the missing change. Then the middle-aged guy returned and said assertively, You left a $20 bill and a $5 bill; I double checked. I was sure I hadnt made such a mistake, but he insisted I did, so I felt resigned to losing $17. When the guy left out the back for a reason unknown to me, the waitress who had reimbursed me $17 said all was fine and I could leave. If that middle-aged waiter takes your money, be sure you get the right change.

This is my favorite Pho restaurant. I come here at least once a week and get #67 vegetarian pho. Its absolutely delicious and the broth is subtle but delicious. And I love the staff, they are always so friendly and welcoming! Highly recommend!

I ordered the pan fried noodles with chicken and vegetables, and honestly it was kind of a bland, soggy mess.The pan fried noodle came to me as an enormous patty, cut into quarters that were each as big as my hand. With no knife at the table or provided with the meal, I basically set those aside and ignored them. Its probably just as well since they were dripping oil.The broth and meat were amazingly bland. I could not detect flavors of herbs, meats, spices, or even salt while eating. Considering how amazingly fresh the place smells when you walk in, its kind of a shock that they could make such lifeless dishes.The wait staff was friendly enough.Not going back.

Probably the worst Vietnamese food I’ve had. I split two vegetarian dishes (Hu Tieu and the pho Chay). Maybe it was just the vegetarian dishes, but the flavors seemed off and muted/bland. Also game show playing on the tv worsened the atmosphere, which is otherwise nice.However service was very quick, the vegetables were good quality and the fresh spring rolls were great.

The people are really friendly and I wanted to like the food, but that was not to be. I only ordered the pho, but if that is any indication, this restaurant needs to fix its cooking or it will die. I hope the manager or owner is reading this and will take action. The pho broth could not in any way be called a beef broth. It looked more like chicken, though weak even for that. The flavor was utterly bland, and lacking the traditional pho flavors of burnt onion, burnt ginger, anise, clove, and good fish sauce, not to mention any hint of beef.Its not that hard to prepare. Boil beef bones, preferably marrow bones, for a couple of days or in a pressure cooker for half a day, add the ingredients described above except for the fish sauce, cook an hour or two more, get rid of the fat, strain, and you have the broth, ready for fish sauce to be added to get just the right salt balance and the final secret weapon of flavor. Wild fennel is sprouting up around here all over the place now, and the fresh new greens add wonderful flavor for savvy cooks who want to reap the seasonal rewards nature offers up gratis.Serve with plenty of fresh basil, cilantro, sliced onion and green onion, and sliced green fresh hot peppers for the heat lovers (traditionally, bean sprouts are served with pho too, but I think they detract from the flavor and so I feed them to my dogs, who are very appreciative). So easy, really. Most places around here make nice pho broths (check out, among many others, Phuong Nam, Mekong, and Le Cheval, all in Oakland) but Le Pho needs to learn.

I liked the food at Le Pho especially the Pho. I ordered chicken but there are different meats. It was my first time eating Vietnamese food and I really liked it. You can put Chinese beans and lemon in the soup (Pho). The small size for me was enough for one person.The other dishes were very delicious. The place is nice and the service is very fast.
