Excellent breakfast restaurant. Has been around for a while. Great service. Food quickly served. Hot and delicious. The eggs were perfectly cooked and I got 4 pieces of Canadian bacon, which was 2 more pieces than I expected. Its a quaint and homey little restaurant.

Service is always great. Very seasoned servers. Wait times can be long on weekends. The food is very good Americana breakfast and lunch menus. I highly recommend the crispy tater tots. Counter service is available. Can be a small squeeze inside but they do provide very large outdoor seating area.It is only open for breakfast and lunch. It closes at 3 PM

Le Roy’s is my favorite American breakfast eatery. I’ve been coming here infrequently over the last 8 years and everything is always delicious. This last visit I noticed the chicken fried steak wasn’t on the menu, but after inquiring they still make it as an off menu item. I was only looking for the chicken fried steak and french toast but I guess I had to order a whole meal and add on the french toast as a side? It was much more food than I wanted. The tater tots are not worth mentioning, imo they were too well done for my liking. The french toast was delicious and I wish there was more. Pancakes and eggs were good too. Chicken fried steak was also delectable covered in gravy goodness. I enjoyed dining outside in the fresh air and open space.

The front desk or our hotel responded quickly with El Roys when I asked where they would suggest good breakfast spot would be. They were not wrong, a great diner just they way you think a diner would look. A counter for regulars to sit and enjoy their favorite dish along with a good amount of table/booth seats. The staff are friendly and even brought my son a transformer to play with. I was probably more excited to see a transformer than he was, lets be honest. The food is great, there are plenty of options and you can order from either the lunch or breakfast menu. Pricing is great and affordable so you can get your fill and not have to put your eyes back in your head once the check arrives. We are here for a few days and we definitely will be back before we head home.

Le Roys is a small popular classic American diner restaurant located on W. Huntington drive at Monrovia. Its clean, organized and well lit. We came for Sunday brunch and sat by the counter. Weekends typically have a wait list unless you arrive early in the morning. Interior atmosphere was welcoming and has a nostalgic vibe. Indoor and outdoor patio seats available. Staff was attentive, competent and professional. Service was moderately fast. We ordered coffee, buttered wheat bread, veggie omelette with five sliced tomatoes and wheat french toasts. Their coffee was brewed perfectly and taste good. Similarly, veggie omelette and wheat french toasts were tasty, soft and flavorful. Prices were fair and competitive with huge serving. Ample of parking space. Overall, we had a good experience and we highly recommend this diner restaurant.

Part of the Monrovia establishment. This popular neighborhood cafe has been a stable of this city forever. We have been coming here for old fashion American breakfast for as long as I remember.After shopping for Turkey for a Friendsgiving dinner at Sprouts, we decided to have breakfast here. It was a surprise that we didn’t have to wait to be seated.The people here are very folksy. So we just help ourselves and find a table yosit down. The service was very friendly and quick. We put in our orders and the food came out in less than 15 minutes.We order our usual breakfast burrito and Belgian waffle with eggs. The burrito was quite good with chorizo and egg. This is everyone’s favorite. And then the waffle is good but not perfect like the ones at Russell’s. They could have make the waffles a bit more crispy. But for comfort food, this was good enough for us.The restaurant is a bit short handed so the swift service was a surprise for me. I have a lot of respects for the waitress working hard to serve their customers. It’s not easy to be in the service industry right now.

Not bad... not fantastic but not bad.Big serving of French Toast that 2 people can share for sure! The breakfast special doesnt seem to come with hashbrowns but I may have missed it on the menu.The place is small and dated...could use a small make over but I guess that keeps it old school. And our server wasnt anything special. She was basically going through the motions.Overall its a place you should try at least once.

Youre missing out if you dont go here! Food was hot and fresh. I got the French toast combo which is super reasonably priced!Staff was friendly and it was so festive for the fall season! Be sure to SUPPORT SMALL BUSINESS because we only have a few left like this in the community. You should also he TIPPING generously as the food is so inexpensive here and such good service.Lots of space in their dedicated parking lot and you cant miss the giant lion Le Roys sign above.I also REALLY appreciate they still had decaf coffee for me at 2 in the afternoon! I cant do caffeine anymore but I love coffee. Ill be back SOON.

The food here is really good, has lots of flavor and big portions for the price! I like how youre able to dine-in(outside patio). The only issue I found, was the amount of flies that come to your plate. You are constantly having to swiped them down. Also, my server took a bit too long.

Home style potatoes were good but onions and green bell peppers were more of a topping instead of cooked together. Added crisp bacon as a side was great and again properly prepared as requested. One of the best breakfast and lunch places around San Gabriel Valley. Portion is large and the quality of food is superb. The pancake is as large as the plate. Fluffy but not soggy. The omelette is juicy and flavorful. Tastes great with salsa. The toast is ordinary but toasted just right. Not over-buttered. The tater tots are the best. Crunchy on the outside, soft inside. It is bigger than other tatertots I have eaten.

I love old places with counters to eat at! I also love tater tots for breakfast! If you happen to go on Monday try that hobo soup. Its a macaroni and ground beef based thing thats simple and satisfying! It has a certain Midwest deliciousness to it. Although its busy most of the time the servers run it like a finely tuned watch.

Homey atmosphere where many of the patrons are regulars who know each other, but everyone is made to feel welcome. Food had a hometown feel. Waitress was polite. Atmosphere felt more like home. We came here after walking out of Mimi’s across the street because it smelled and we were ignored. Very good food, Old School style with Classic combinations. The Pancakes are big, fluffy and taste awesome. Eggs any way you like them and well prepared! Bacon thick cut with good texture, taste and crispiness, and the sausages are tasty too. Hashbrowns crisp on the outside, yet soft not mushy inside. Orange juice good, cant remember if its Fresh Squeezed, not a Deal Breaker. Normally a significant wait time, however we Called ahead, Table of 3 (15 mins quote). We arrived and were seated almost immediately. The restaurant was Packed, yet food arrived in a timely manner, and hot! Service friendly and responsive, not overbearing. The Staff allows you to eat at your leisure comfortably. Checking in at appropriate intervals. Prices very affordable, portions extremely generous. To Go boxes for everyone! Yes Le Roys name means The King, and thats how you are treated! 5 Stars and my Highest recommendation.

My wife and I go all over the San Gabriel Valley trying out these diners owned by Mom and Pop, So My wife and me decided to give this place a try yesterday Monday December 26 . This is a great little place to eat. Old small town feel where everyone working has a smile on there face and they all work together. Tables are a little close together but that adds to the home town feel. They do have outdoor seating that is covered and the tables outside are further apart. The food is plentiful and good. We really enjoyed the tater tots for breakfast. You will not leave hungry here. I highly recommend stopping by for breakfast even you you have to wait it will be worth it.

Has to be the worst food ever. I came with a large party so they set us up in the back patio. I was excited to have a good breakfast before going to a family event. I ordered the eggs Benedict, when it arrived 50 minutes later I was disappointed it was Lukewarm and the hollandaise was just on the verge of breaking and tasted like oil, so I ate what I could then just paid the bill and left never to return again. I thought being a small place I would have gotten great food but I was wrong, I think one person in our party liked it but 15 others did not good luck.

This place could use some customer service classes. I have been here one other time and service was just as bad as today. I only went today because it was Father’s Day and the rest of the family wanted to try it. From the start the hostess was rude. Not just once time but several times as we were waiting for our party to arrive. When we were finally seated. The waitress took our drink order right away. Unfortunately it wasn’t to be efficient it was to rush us along and you could feel it. She returned right away and said are you ready to order? Not really we were still trying to look at the menu. We asked for more time and she was annoyed. She returned with in a few minutes and said are you ready yet? We were trying to help the kids figure out what they wanted to order so again I asked for a few more moments. At this point not only was she annoyed, I was now getting irritated. When we ordered the food she was pushy and would be annoyed if you didn’t order right away. The food came it was a hit and miss with it. Food wise I would’ve given it 3 stars. But because of the service it’s a 1 star. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone else.

Thirty customers already seated. Zero wait time! Indoor/outdoor seating. Two servers worked our table of 2! Portions were large, hot and cooked exactly right! My husband and I traveled to California this past weekend from Fort Worth, TX for the first time! By the time our plane landed we were starving, so we decided to pull up the map and find somewhere to stop for breakfast that was close to our hotel. We found Le Roy’s and decided to give it a try. Oh my gosh I’m so happy we did!! The food was DELICIOUS, the pancakes and waffles were about the size of our heads (Texas portions is what we called them😂), the staff was so very sweet and even gave us a bunch of places to visit that we wouldn’t have thought about ourselves. A step back in history on route 66. Lots of food reasonable prices. Great for breakfast or lunch. Not open for dinner.No change here, food still great help still terrific. A little bustier today so we ate outside which was cold, below 50 with a breeze. I would do it again.We stopped for breakfast because there was noone waiting outside. Most of rhe outside seating is closed because of the heat, the original patio is still open where we ate and found everything terrific, with everyone friendly, staff and other patrons included. Food is still good and they give you to much food and the price is better than other good restaurants in the area. Tried to have brunch there at Leroys this morning. Ordered the Chicken fried steak. One bite told me it was rotten. The sweet taste of too old meat. I chewed a couple of times then spit it out. Flagged a waitress. She offered to remove the plate and to take the cost of the meal off of my bill. Sure. My wife had pancakes which looked great. The bill came $20.50 for Pancakes and 2 ice teas. After my first visit here I can say that it is my new go-to for breakfast in the San Gabriel Valley! My mother has been a long-time customer, and says that the staff always treats her well. I then asked her what her problem was and why she was so snobby she then smirked and just handed me over to a waitress which I’m not sure if she was a manager or something but she was so helpful she understood the situation and knew the hostess was wrong and said she would sit us within 10min .. if this was handled like this from start to finish I would have given them all the stars but I can’t believe I was treated that way . A breakfast pancake combo and an vegetarian omelet.By the time I came back to settle the tab at the register beside the man I first spotted when I walked in, I look down and the gentleman, rightly so, had carefully carved out only 1/4 of his food, as clearly that was enough for his breakfast. 3/4s of the food remained after probably 45 minutes or more. it confirmed my feeling, and kudos to the man for knowing his limits and restraining himself from trying to eat more.Ive never seen such big portions. The sheer amount of food Leroys serves to individuals, and other old-school restaurants like it, is why so many people that are unhealthy in our society.As for my meal, it was heavy and I left feeling to full, even after making sure I didnt finish the whole thing.Leroys could cut their portions, easilt by 60% and reduce the price by $1, probably only a 10 to 15% reduction, and not only increase profits, but help their customers not to over gorge themselves in the process. Patrons would still feel full and satisfied.I also found the restroom to be filthy. If I owned a place like this Id make absolutely sure that every one of my employees pick up any piece of trash or clean up any mess they spot on-site....Maybe its because the restroom is located outside of the restaurant but I dont think thats an excuse. If anything thats more of a reason to clean it twice as often.My main beef with Leroys is the food portions, I dont expect them to serve the best quality ingredients, as its not that kind of place. If you continue to serve outrageous portions to the public, you are doing them more harm than good.And please keep your restroom clean and grafitti free.The main dining room was fine. I placed the order and Im staying at all hotel nearby and when I come out and pick up my order I get to the hotel with all the kids waiting there are no utensils no spoons no forks no paper towels I call them and all I said sorry I expected another reply or they said because a new rules they had to offer me all that which they did not. Very inconvenient the food did look good but all was spilled all over the place cuz everybody was eating with their hands they did not even offer to bring them or for me to come back and get some totally ridiculous my name is Armando check that out!

Never going back. Running Eggs when they brought those back they were burnt, under cooked bacon. After sitting down for only a couple minutes I was harassed by two rude waitress stating there were people waiting, didnt have time to go over the menu. We didnt even get to finish our food and the waitress wanted to clear our table. If you want to sit down and enjoy your coffee and your $20 plate of runny eggs and raw bacon this isnt the place for you. I rather go to Denneys. This place has really changed for the worst,

A lot of acquaintances have recommended this place to me and I finally tried it out myself for the first time and it was the best! They serve delicious food for a very low price. The waiters are all high spirited and make you feel comfortable. I highly recommend this place!

Bang for your buck. Ive heard of Le Roys but never went until today. Boy was that a bad decision. Ive been missing out on this amazing experience for years. Ths amount of food, and great food at that is is lot,. I ordered the eggs, bacon and poo potatoes. The amount of bacon is unbelievable. When you think that a pound of bacon is close to $10 and they give darn near close to a pond for $8.95 with the eggs and potatoes! Highly recommend this place. Look forward to going back next weekend.

I ordered an omelet with home fries... the omelet was horrible. Ingredients tasted old and burnt. The home fries even worse! Tasted like a refrigerator that was really old and cooked in grease that was even older. Had the absolute worst breakfast Ive even had. How do you mess up breakfast like that is beyond me. Will never return!

Everything about this place is amazing. Serving size are bang for your buck. Friday through Sunday are very busy. Waiting lines are out the door but totally worth it. Staff are super friendly.

Great restaurant for breakfast. Try the sausage patty (well done) with eggs, tator tots and a pancake instead of toast. Lots of good tasting quality food at a much better price than the lousy big chain restaurants (IHOP, Dennys). The iced tea is great but the coffee is average.

Being a Roy myself I had to try this place as I needed to check my tires at the shop in same parking lot. Very friendly people, inside has a lot character, food was good (western breakfast), and price was good. I’ll be back to try the sandwiches next time, i had a dentist appointment right before so i didn’t want food unintentionally falling out of my numb mouth lol. Omelette I can strategically fork into non-numb areas 🤓
