Our carry-out dinner was worth the wait!It was our first time to try the tasty Thai BBQ chicken with coconut sauce. It came with vegetables. The shrimp and pork salad rolls were delicious, too! We also enjoyed stir-fry vegetables which included tofu, a nice surprise! It was more than enough for three seniors.

This place is AMAZING! Everything is cooked fresh so you can leave an ingredient out if you need to! Trust me- go see Sarah with an “h” and she will take care of you!!! I promise you won’t be disappointed!!!! And the sweet sticky rice with coconut ice cream and fresh mango is a MUST!!!

Good service and ambiance, but meh~ food.Lamb was a little undercooked for the requested medium. Green curry was didnt taste like green curry. Maybe I should have seen the warning sign when green curry came out yellow. Pad thai had what can only be described as a weak sauce and ended up tasting greasy. I have a feeling the chef didnt have a lot of exposure to authentic thai cuisine. If you go in without any expectation for thai food, I think you will be alright.

Never eat here. They bait and switch the menus. They gave us the lunch menu and we ordered l, when we recieved our check we were charged dinner prices. The food is no worth the price. Did didnt know how do her job.

It used to be my favorite place for delicious fresh food, and cozy atmosphere. Atmosphere went out the door after they stopped using the white table cloths, the food is still good but instead of dine in we just do takeout. Bring some cozyness back and we will be back enjoying food, drinks and dessert as well 👍

Food was great… once we finally got it. We were there two and a half hours all told. They said they had a problem with the computers and were nice enough to give us an entree and dessert for free. However the service was way too slow. A table of the same size came in well after we did and were served before us so I suspect our waiter may have been part of our problem.

This used to be my favorite restaurant for years. I went here with my parents growing up. I wanted to get a gift card for my father for Christmas and we followed the instructions on their website for ordering and mailing a gift card. The manager refused to take my call so we could give them their mailing address and kept leaving me on hold (for about 30 minutes). I ended up cancelling the gift card. The manager was very unprofessional (hung up on me twice). I cannot continue to support an establishment that treats customers so poorly. This is unfortunate because the food is very good. Hopefully the restaurant can find a more competent and professional manager.

We are huge fans of Lemon Grass and have been for years - the food is always fresh, delicious, and bursting with flavor. We live near San Francisco and every time we visit Sac we order from Lemon Grass. Oh my goodness, those crispy veggie rolls always impress and we’ve never found anything like them at other restaurants.When we got engaged, we reached out to Lemon Grass to ask if they could cater our wedding in Sacramento. They agreed and we met with Mai Pham and Tyler to map out a menu of vegetarian and chicken dishes. In the weeks leading up to the wedding, Tyler went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly and walked through the whole plan and schedule with us. On the day of, he personally came over with trays of delicious food and dozens of sauces and helped the staff prep everything to the same standards as the restaurant. They were a smash hit - our guests were blown away by how delicious and fresh everything was. Having them cater made the day even more special for us.Lemon Grass remains our favorite restaurant in Sacramento. If youre in the area, stop by and try their food. You wont be disappointed!

I ordered the crispy veggie rolls and they were amazing so good!! The salad of greens with noodles was a beautiful presentation. Then I got the veggie pad Thai… so good!! Big portions and not greasy or heavy!! Definitely my new favorite Thai restaurant in Sacramento!! Will be back!! And very nice restaurant spacious and clean!!! Great staff! Cooks. Ordered curbside pickup for 5pm at about noon. Almost $150 order. I called when I arrived to notify them I was out front. Man responded its not done yet, Ill have someone run it out when its ready. Ok, no problem, Its a busy night understandable.Keeping a 2 year old occupied for a few minutes in a car seat is hard. I waited 20 minutes outside and called my wife to update her on ETA. She called the restaurant and had the rudest interaction with a woman on the phone Oh your order is ready and sitting here. Why didnt he just come in? He didnt talk to me...Why are you arguing? He said someone would bring it out. I have a 2 year old in a car seat, and oh yeah, did you want COVID? There was a reason we asked for curbside pick up... Good food, horrible service. This was the second time too.Last time we dined in for my MILs birthday and the waiter completely forgot to put in her order. Which, I get it, it happens... But she was the last one to put in her order, and he didnt even comp anything.

We went to Lemon Grass on Thursday night. It was not busy at all. There were 7 in our party. We were seated quickly. Everything was perfect. Our waitress was fabulous and the food was delicious. Everyone loved what they ordered. Ive never had ginger ice cream and it was yummy too. This was my 2nd time going to this restaurant and Ive lived here forever. I need to get there more often because the selection is great and prices are reasonable.

Great service, this restaurant has been a favorite of my parents and whenever I am visiting we always go there. This time was real special with all the family. We were seated in the private dining room and never had an empty glass throughout dinner. Very attentive staff. Everyone enjoyed their dinner and dessert.

This was a wonderful dining experience a kind of upscale I love the fact that there are glass windows around the dining area the demographics are a little bit older so there werent a lot of screaming hollering kids. it was a nice relaxed atmosphere that offered great service wonderful food, an upscale atmosphere and it really was a nice surprise to find such a dining experience here in Sacramento I really recommend this as a date night location for couples looking to leave the kids behind and recreate a moment of magic.

Wednesday, 2/02/2022 - Took my friend to Lemon Grass restaurant for her birthday/congratulations event tonight. Ive been here once, like 5 or 6 years ago and absolutely loved the Thai Steak dinner with the peanut sauce. Restaurant is pretty inside. Upon arrival tonight:Pros:1) plenty of parking. Theres more parking spaces towards the back.2) restaurant was very clean. Chairs, bowls, plates, napkins, utensils and cups all clean.3) restaurant was quiet.4) theres a bar.5) food presentation was pretty. Water good.6) Thai Steak dinner was ok. It wasnt medium rare as I requested. But it was still good. The peanut sauce that goes with the steak was very good with the steak. Steam veggies and rice were good.7) the Lunar New Year special: Halibut dish was good. The sauce in the bowl made all the difference. Noodle in bowl good. They offer rambutan fruits at the end of our meal.8) server checked in on us to make sure we didnt need anything else several times.9) server was very nice and professional. Even offer to take our picture for us.10) server even packed our food to go for us.11) bathroom was very clean.12) ambiance was nice.Cons:1) they dont offer anything for the birthday person. But you can order dessert and they can put a candle on it for you, I was told.2) parking was a little dark.3) there seemed to be only 1 waiter. He was VERY busy running around waiting on the 4 or 5 tables I saw.4) upon arrival, there was no one at the front to greet me. No signs that lets patrons know if they needed to check in, wait to be seated, or just go sit at any open table and theyll come serve you. I stood there for a while before someone came.5) theres a $2.00 fee for extra peanut sauce. Wish they told me.Conclusion:Nice Restaurant. I like it. Very clean. Server very nice, but super busy. Foods good. Ambiance nice. Very quiet restaurant. Try this place if you havent yet.

Wonderful experience from start to finish -- and be sure to finish with the ginger ice cream! Interesting libations. Shaking beef was incredibly tender. The dining rooms are bright and inviting. Our lunch was very good and our server was delightful. Lemon Grass has a varied menu with something for everyone. There are appetizers, salads, small plates, entrees, curries and lunch specials. There is a very nice wine list. Wine is available by the glass, 1/2 or whole bottle. I had the lunch special, a chicken and shrimp stir fry with vegetables and a black bean sauce. It was served with rice and I selected brown rice. My friend had the small plate, soup and rolls. The soup was wonderful. The rolls were fresh with a good dipping sauce. Always a nice place for a quiet lunch.

1st dining in experience since the pandemic started. Befitting it was at our absolute fav spot. Staff was warm and welcoming (Kate and Dean) and food was as usual spot on! We commented while eating (and loving it) that we have never once been disappointed by the food/dining experience at lemongrass. Really well priced for the quality of the food with good portioning. We had the Thai beef salad (explosion of flavors, omg), Seafood green curry and vegetarian paella and all were top notch. I always hesitate to talk up Lemongrass too much because it feels like our best kept secret. If I had one request for a final meal I would pass on the cheeseburger and head strait to Lemongrass for a feast of a lifetime.

As a former chef I will say that this Restaurant is by far and I mean by far, one of, if not, the best Viet-Thai cuisine Ive ever had. I was visiting Sacramento for a few days and had the opportunity to try different items on their menu. Shaking beef, Chicken medallions, Thai Steak, Chicken Curry, Salad rolls, Bangkok beef, Pad Thai ( havent found anyone that makes it better than Lemon Grass R.) The kitchen and front staff were amazing at every visit. Definitely recommend this amazing restaurant. The experience will be rewarding :)

The ambiance is nice - a fairly formal dining experience with trained wait staff. The menu is a combination of Thai and Vietnamese food, but takes out all the traditional names to replace them with more English friendly ones. This can be nice if you arent familiar with Vietnamese food, but odd if you are. The food is decent, on par with your average Thai or Vietnamese place. If you want to pay double to upgrade the building and service for the same food, go here. Otherwise, check out a Vietnamese place in Stockton boulevard (any of them) or Siam Thai, Taste of Thai, or Chada Thai.

I was at one time a big fan but the place really has taken a dump. It feels old, the menu is the same and there just isnt any energy (but not to say there must be). So many restaurants closed their doors in 2008-2009 but LG survived to their credit. But it looks as if they lost focus.The food after a while just tastes the same and the décor has really gotten old too.
