Great option for healthy food. The people at the counter are super kind, the food is really good quality, not too expensive and very well served. We build our own bowls but there are a lot of options. The cucumber water was a bit acid but it was ok.

The pick your own plate is a great deal and has awesome options. The lemonade cake is the best I have ever had. The only thing negative is that they used to give bigger slices for the same amount now it is half the size and the slices I received tonight were both really dry and nothing like the super rich and yummy slices of the past. I love the corn salad, Brussels sprouts with dates, and avocado and tomato salad.

Had a very healthy and fulfilling lunch today. I enjoyed all the freshly made options. My favorite is the beet cous cous, the grilled cheese and tomatoes soup. But today I got the build your own bowl. The bowl included cauliflower dish, brown rice, green Chile chicken and Mac n cheese. I ate every bite. My favorite beverage is the blood orange lemonade.

No full vegetarian options, and no vegetarian proteins at all. The food is not bad, but nothing special. The drinks are good.To be clear: the problem is you have to get a salad (which every restaurant offers) or just sides. No veg protein.

Dont eat here. Rushing for time so thought Id give it a try despite the bad reviews - bad choice!Couldnt understand how the make your own bowl pricing worked but the staff basically repeated what the board said in an unhelpful tone so I decided not to pursue it.Went for the chef bowls instead and when I got to paying, the cashier couldnt recognize the bowls until I said what they were... Turns out there were missing ingredients (pickled ginger) so she had to tell the unhelpful lady to add them. Later on I realized there were even more ingredients missing (fried onions). Pretty sure both bowls had minor missing items.Portions were small, bowl was 1/2 to 2/3 full (sauce>meat). Rice was too mushy. Steak bowl had only a few strips of meat. Way overpriced for what you get. The only saving grace was the meat and veggies tasted alright.Unhelpful service is attributable to an off day, but if the product itself becomes compromised (who knows if its a business practice or because the server was disagreeable?) then better stay far away...

$18 for a poke bowl, that had literally 1 scoop of poke, and half of that was mango. All white rice. Even the lemonade was mediocre, and it’s their name?!?I guess if you stick with chicken or beef and get the sides, it’s ok. But still crazy $$$ for what you get. Might as well go to an actual restaurant.Will not be patronizing Lemonade in the future.

I have to say this place is really good for its food and also the colorful design of it. However! The place is a bit nasty because of the flies around it. And I saw one landed on the food. Besides that, everything is pretty and chic. Price is pretty good. I am surprised they only have one store in this SOMA area. None in the FIDI. It’s a cute thing!

Ordered a tuna and avocado poke bowl for a work lunch, but it came with no avocado, caviar, seaweed salad, or radish. I’m pretty sure I instead received the spicy tuna poke bowl, which I couldn’t eat because I have a pitiful spice tolerance, but I was taken aback by how small the portion was (both photos are before eating any of the bowl)

I love Lemonade as their food is healthy, fresh, and tasty! Their utensils are all sustainable. The Yerba Buena Garden is a nice hangout place especially when it is sunny. I enjoyed their blue tea+lemonade - free check-in with Yelp!!

I actually came here twice in one day, once for lemonade and another time for food. The lemonade was delicious, but the food was just meh.I liked that you could sample the different lemonade flavors, because they were all delicious. But when it comes to the food, the quality was a bit lackluster. I ordered the turkey BLT and there was so much arugula that I had to take about 2/3 off, and there was hardly any bacon. And for being nearly $12 for just the sandwich, the size was fairly small.The location is great, and I loved the outdoor seating option, but the food was just nothing special and I dont think I would want to come back.

I love that they now mix the poke fresh. Service is hit or miss, but Ive noticed theyve improved it the last few times Ive gone. Dont be afraid to ask for samples. I like the poke bowl or getting a few different sides so you can have a taste of everything.

The chicken is very very dry and the sauce tasted a little off. Not sure if that is the flavor or if it wasn’t fresh. The rice and cauliflower is pretty good. The lemonade isn’t bad and the staff seems pretty friendly. Overall not worth 20-ish bucks.

Came for the poke bowls but was unimpressed. Considering the price for portions, not worth it. The portions were really small and only got a few pieces of tuna. The tuna’s texture tasted odd and I wasn’t a fan of it. The rice was also too hard and not as it should be. The spicy mango made it taste better but I wouldn’t buy it again.It’s a cute place with lots of seating, however, the menu is limited and overpriced.

My boyfriend wanted a vegetarian poke bowl, but there werent any veggie poke bowls and they could not remove ingredients because they were pre-mixed, which was a bit disappointing. I ordered the 3 side combo, $11, and chose my ingredients. When I wanted to pay I was told it was almost $21. I asked why but the explanation was vague and I did not understand. The employee should have mentioned that it was going to be more expensive before my meal was ready and I was going to pay. This was way overpriced for the meal I got. When I was eating I saw a mouse run through the kitchen... Bad experience.

Food was good. Healthy. But overpriced.. Service was less than desirable. 3/4 peoples food came out in a timely manner. After a 10 minute wait, I went up to ask for my friend. Was told that there were tickets ahead of us that needed serving. This didnt make sense to me since 3 of our dishes came out.The dish we were waiting for was a raw fish taco.Update: 4 -> 2, while sitting after having eaten. The managers tone with customers was consistently rude though it didnt seem that the customers were asking anything unreasonable or being overly persistent with requests.

Great service by Djuan. Ive been here many times in the past year and Ive had a positive experience every time he was working. My mother has some dietary restrictions and he was able to provide an overview of what would and wouldnt fit into her dietary needs. Other times when I came alone, his watchful eye ensured I waited only moments before I was helped. Hes also quite quick on the line. As a service employee myself, I very much appreciate the attitude, speed, and attention to detail that he consistently provides.Im a pretty big eater for my size so I always appreciate having a filling meal at a relatively low price for the area. Healthy options are always a plus. Lemonade is my first recommendation when Im asked whats tasty and healthy-ish on upper Mission St.

Came into lemonade today for the first time ever and let me just say the service the food the atmosphere the lovely lady who helped me and my girlfriend through the menu was amazing! I got the miso short ribs with Mac n cheese and corn salad with white rice and a blood orange hibiscus lemonade that had my mouth watering and left my belly full. This place is a must go if you are in the area or else you are missing out on a great lunch/dinner experience. You will not be leaving disappointed!

I have eaten at lemonade for years off and on. I recently went to the Metreon location. The place seemed short staffed like only 2 ppl working. It seemed stressful to them running around. But that’s not why I gave 1 star. The menu is now confusing from what the concept originally started as. The tables outside we sat down were a bit dirty as they were short staffed. I won’t return.

My partner & I just discovered this place. We thought it would be pricey, but to us, its extremely cheap. I eat for 2.95 since a single Marketplace dish is enough for me. Most people get more (my guy gets rice for an added 1.75), but its still not a bad price all in all, I think. The food isnt amazing since its cafeteria style, but the variety and healthy options are a reason to go if youre hungry. Also, the staff is always extremely friendly and free samples.

Fresh and delicious food. Heathy for the most part, but avoid the lemonades even the skinny ones if you dont want a sugary beverage. They have an unsweetened cucumber mint drink thats good, but not for those not used to healthy drinks. I recommend the mango chicken and all of their cold pastas. Unconventional restaurant, food is served canteen style: you pick up your tray and while moving through the market place you choose from the food ready prepared. This place is very conveniently located if youre at the Moscone centre for the various events. Their selection of food is well suited for both light or heartier meals. Their serving is really fast so theres not a lot of waiting around. The place is fairly busy, but seating can be found in the nearby park if the weather is good.

Line had about 6 people but moved quickly. My mongo chicken bowl was delicious, although slightly spicy which a couple years ago would have been an issue. My wife said her salmon thai breaker bowl was salted to hell & she really didnt enjoy it. Not to mention the portion she got was tiny, like a spoonful of salmon, a mound of ginger for some reason, and the rice.I felt my bowl was decent value but hers was definitely not. The concept of Lemonade is like an upscale cafeteria along with higher prices. There are sections of marketplace, leafy greens, land and sea, sandwiches, and hot dishes. You are encouraged to mix and match between the categories to make your meal. There are so many options in each of the categories that it can be overwhelming to make a decision, something that I dont like. There are about 30 options to choose from. Add that with the lunch crowd, confusing layout, and there is a large amount of confused people in a little area. The choices displayed looked good and I chose a buttermilk baked chicken sandwich with a side of truffle mac and cheese. To drink I opted for the carrot ginger juice and my meal was about $18. The sandwich was ok. The bread was thick and dry, but the chicken was tasty. The truffle mac had good flavor, but the noodles were overcooked and mushy. All in all the meal was ok and definitely not worth the cost.But the staff are very friendly and accommodating to new diners. They help walk you through the process and will answer your questions. You are also encouraged to sample the dishes as you move along, which is nice to help decide what you order. The indoor seating can get crowded and clustered since it is right next to the food area, but the outdoor seating is open and airy. There are heaters that will warm the area to combat the windy SF weather.

Cute little place that is part of the greater Metreon Complex. The food was very good and reasonably priced. I had a half portion green salad with nuts and grapefruit for only 4.99. I chose the poached salmon at 6.99 which was cooked to perfection: still moist and not dry. Give this place a try if youre looking for a casual dinning experience.

Ive only been here for the lemonade so I cant offer much input on the food except that everything looks quite tasty. The lemonade is pretty nice with one minor issue. If you decide to get the lemonade fusion the ratio is highly dependent on the cashier. My buddy had a nice one but the employee who made mine added too much tea which diluted the lemonade into a slightly tart drink that taste something like a glass of water with a splash of lemon.

There are lots of food selection from poke to salad to mashed potatoes. They also sell some lemonade (obviosly the name) and I tried the Blue Skinny Lemonade which tastes like your everyday lemonade. For the food I ordered a plate of some ahi tuna poke, cold soba pasta, and a curry chicken apple salad of some sort.Overall, the food is okay from what Ive ordered. Another point is plenty seating and nice atmosphere in general.

A pigeon pooped on me/my plate here. There is a yellow railing that runs above the outdoor seating area; pigeons sit here and poop directly on the tables/customers. Look at the railing next time youre in the area! I politely addressed this issue with the manager but he didnt seem to care. He just told me that this is a regular occurrence. And yet they do nothing about it! Not even an offer to replace the food! Such negligence over an easily preventable problem like this reflects very poorly on the owners.This is unfortunate, because the food that I was able to finish was good.

Overpriced undersized portions. Yes I like some of their flavor combos but even after spending 10 dollars, I was left hungry. I expect a fair amount of food for my dining dollar, not an over-sized sample.I learned a long time ago that the real costs in prepared food are in the labor for preparation and service, the raw food costs are minimal.Obviously Lemonade is buying wholesale but just consider that even at Trader Joes a 16 oz bag of Brussels Sprouts is only about 2.50. Lemonade sells a 3-4 oz. portion of their shaved Brussels Sprouts for 3.30, so I was paying about a 200% mark up for Lemonades tasty shavings and air.

If you’re strategic there’s really quality food here for the price, but note it’s secretly located inbetween the other stuff that is more profitable. I hope a six sigma exec doesnt come through and eliminate the tasty things. What’s superb is that you can order small portions of the good stuff; I walk away from this place never bloated and dazed like I do a normal restaraunt. The higher prices also act like a good capitalist form of healthy eating prevention against gluttony. it’s too bad deserts and unhealthy are always so cheap! The outdoor cafe is nice but the generous lanes of traffic on the 4 lane freeway that’s mission street make it hard to hear anyone you’re talking to as the speeding traffics so loud.

Ive tried the watermelon rosemary and the old fashioned lemonade... For me, they were honestly just ok. Not terrible but not out of this world or anything. I tried the chicken pesto sandwich... WAY too much ailoi, had to take the sandwich apart and scrape most of it off. Although the sandwich was large and the ingredients fresh, the roll it came on was a hard roll and I found it VERY difficult and messy to eat. I will probably not order food from here again, especially since I felt the sandwich was kind of pricey. I love lemonade so I will come back and probably try the sugar free flavors.

I got the blood orange lemonade, and it was too sweet for my palate. I also didnt catch her before she filled the cup half full of ice, and the beverage. I asked if she could just pour out much of the ice, that was on the top of the cup. Instead, she marched to a sink and poired out all of the drink, then threw away the cup. My newly poured drink was ceremoniously plopped on the counter with a combo eye roll - head shake - heavy sigh.Seating was comfortable, an abundant during a weekday evening.I would probably go back for lunch without the side of attitude.

Woohoo! I was hella stoked when I saw that Lemonade was opening up in SF. Finally a little piece of LA goodie right at home.I was excited to see that the dishes and quality are exactly as I remembered from LA, but of course with SF-style wait time. All the food and line made the process super overwhelming and I felt like I ended up ordering really random things.I got the curry cauliflower, tuna in an avocado and a blood orange lemonade. The cauliflower was delicious but the curry was too strong for me to finish. The tuna avocado was good though! Of course the lemonade was on point, but sipping icy lemonade doesnt quite have the same effect in chilly SF.I think the service will probably improve with time and Ill likely be back soon!

Love this place! Great find. Located next to the Metreon in Yerba Buena, this place does not disappointed. Food is served cafeteria style and offers a wide selection of fresh options. The watermelon radish and ahi tuna salad was exquisite, as was the avocado and tomato salad. There is a fresh selection of salads, meets, desserts and juices to choose from. The line is a bit long from 11:30a - 1:00p, but it does move pretty fast. Well worth the wait for this delightful food.

I ate at Lemonade for the 1st time yesterday & it will be my last time! Within a hour of eating the California Picnic Sandwich & the side broccoli salad, I had a stomach ache and threw up 4 times from it. I also had a cucumber lemonade drink .
