I enjoy LGs for the quality of food they prepareOur server, Victor, was attentive and courteous. Our meal was prepared quickly, and there was no delay between salad, entree, and dessert. A little more time between courses would have been nice, but it is a very busy place, and I can tell they want to be efficient. It is better than having to wait for the order. I do appreciate great service, and LGS certainly gets an A!I had a chopped salad with Hearts of Palm and a lemon dressing to start. It was a large salad for one person, and Victor offered to split it in two.My 16 oz. ribeye was cooked to perfection at medium-rare with a Brandy Peppercorn sauceThe Smoked Gouda Scalloped Potatoes were so delicious! The sides are served family style, and I loved that because I kept going back for more! Also, the asparagus was grilled, and there was a generous amount for two.I ordered a Cappuccino and also received a complimentary warm chocolate brownie dessert for my birthday. It was a perfect end to my Yum dinner.I would recommend LGs for a delicious meal and great service. It may be a little loud if you are looking for a romantically quiet evening. But, I liked the vibe, and for me, it was a perfect birthday dinner.

We went for Thanksgiving reservation made. Ordered drinks and appetizers, having been there before I knew the menu well. I asked to have the waiter check for a specific red wine to have with my meal. Meal items did not come out in order or as Ordered. Example salad came WAY late drinks didnt come till AFTER meal despite being reminded FOUR times!! The waiter at another table noticed the totally terrible service and took it upon his self to help us one more than one occasion. There were three of us the meal was over 500 dollars which was no problem at all however I was utterly shocked by the waiter and his total lack of decoram. He didnt know the menu didnt make proper corrections and when asked about what happened made excuses such as i must not of heard you, um seriously you didnt hear the whole drink order or the two other detailed conversations about wine; and to top it off several tables around us got everything they ordered in order and even left before us. I had a young child with me but thank goodness she is so well behaved but even at her age of 8 she saw things werent right. We had dirty and done dishes all over the table NEVER being picked up unless asked to do so MULTIPLE times per plate. Oh and dont get me stayed on how many times we had to ask for water!! Such an utter disappointment. When he brought the check I didnt even look I just handed him my card I was over it to say the least. He looked at me like he was waiting for something when I didnt open the check. When I signed I noticed the drinks were comped which honestly I didnt think was enough. I have never had such poor service there totally ruined the experience for us to a point I may never dine in here again, what a shame. Worse for the waiter cause Im very very well know for over tipping especially on holidays. I went in with the intent of tipping the bill amount cause I can with the holidays people struggle and instead left bummed. The only reason we didnt cook this year was because I had just undergone two serious surgeries two weeks before and I really needed something to lift my spirits, thank God for the good company.

I had a delicious Very Berry Martini followed by the Dry Aged Porterhouse and a variety of sides - the best of which was the Caesar Salad made at the table and the potatoes au gratin. Service was great - except for some small details. We waited a long time for food, and whenever they refilled our waters, theyd fill the cup with ice too. I didnt think much of it, but after the meal everyone else mentioned the annoyance, so t wasnt just me.

Took my business partner here to celebrate. The small filet mignon I was service, was unusual in the there looked to be sections. These sections the texture was different. Honestly smelled old. Thankfully my partner enjoyed his. The rest of the food was very good.Service was off because of one large table of 10-12 men, so our service suffered, try to get another drink took effort.Atmosphere was VERY loud, like a mess hall sound.This was my first visit to LG here in Palm Desert.I believe or hope this was not a normal experience.

LGs never disappoints.For years I have been a regular here because of the amazing food and drink selection.The service is top notch.From the second I pull up in my car, Jeremy is there with a smile on his face and parks my car right up infront.When I walk in the restaurant Im always immediately greeted by Alex the incredible sommelier who knows my taste to a tee.And Daniel the bartender is so wonderful.This trio sure knows how to treat you as if you just walked off the RED CARPET.I absolutely love, love, love the traditional steakhouse ambiance and vibe.Im from Los Angeles so Im pretty used to VIP treatment 🤭 but LGs takes the cake on this one.Thank you

Not a good steakhouse. The servers were very attentive and professional, its a shame the food wasnt good and the ambiance is terrible. In my opinion they should cut and run, their good service cannot carry the weight of this culinary failure.The steak was expensive (to be expected and par for the course) but low quality (not to be expected) and extremely salty (a sign of poor quality and lack of culinary ability) This place needs a full overhaul. Very disappointed. We will not be returning. To be clear- at the bottom of this review it says recommended dishes. I do not recommend ANY dishes here.

Pretty disappointing. We ordered the $130 tomahawk steak, which was good, but no better than much cheaper restaurants. The tomahawk we got at Gordon Ramsays steakhouse in Las Vegas was way better, at a similar price point, so we were expecting more.The garlic mash potatoes was also very average.The bread pudding was also pretty bad. Just a dense square loaf. The one we ordered from another restaurant a couple days ago was way better.Our waiter was nice but not very attentive. The people around us seemed to get better service.

Upscale eatery, primarily steaks but also lots of other choices. My deep-fried calamari were too heavy on the breading but tasted fine. The surf and turf choice of two small filets mignon and four large fried shrimp were very tasty, with a bit too much butter residue for my taste swimming on the plate. My friends boneless rib eye steak and baked potato were delicious, accirding to him. The Pinot Grigio was very palatable, and the waiter was very attentive to our needs. A lovely dining experience.

Glad to dine in this elegant restaurant. It was my first time here but my hubby has gone here several times. He speaks highly of this place and when we finally got a chance to come to Palm Springs, this was our first stop. We had their onion rings called wagon wheels for appetizers and they were great! The breading was rich with spices and we cant stop eating them. Then we had their greek and ceasars salad which were excellent. Finally, we had their garlic butter salmon and prime rib with peppercorn gravy both were absolutely delicious! The salmon was seared perfectly complemented with its sauce. The peppercorn gravy was the best partner for the prime rib! Service was also outstanding! Our server attended to out needs promptly. We will definitely be back and we highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Palm Springs.

We had highly attentive great service. The callimarie was good. We also had the aged porterhouse which we asked for charred outside and medium rate inside, but it came purple rare inside so we had it cooked a bit longer. Also had sauted garlic spinach which was good and way too salty Brussel sprouts. A nice Lohr wine and all was good and relaxing. Plan to go back and try some other items. Great weekend.

Went with a group and my steak (ribeye medium rare) was great but a friend ordered a filet (medium well) but the steak came out medium rare-rare so they said they would make a new steak and then the 2nd steak came out and it looked rare so we told them again and they took the steak that was cut into slices this time and cooked it properly. By the time the properly cooked steak was done, everyone else at the table was done with their food. Not only that but we asked for an extra side of mashed potatoes and they never brought it out, everyone was done with their food when he asked if we still wanted them. They also didnt come around the table as often as should be expected from a restaurant like this and there were only 3 other tables there.

I love slow roasted prime rib but it was definitely not as good as what Im used to from pricier or even less expensive restaurants. It lacked flavor along with the sautéed mushrooms that where the side dish. Still a great restaurant but my dish was just off that night.

Agree with reviews, service was amazing from entry to exit. Food was pretty good and comparable to Ruth Chris but less buttery (both good and bad). Enjoyed the lamb more than the filet and the salad and bread and escargot was very tasty. Went for anniversary and they were super sweet and gave us a nice dessert with pretty design.

We loved everything about our meal. The steaks were perfectly cooked, the béarnaise classic and seasoned exactly how it should be, the creamed spinach was amazing, I highly recommend. Came to the table bubbling OMG. Had a Russian River Pinot and our server was so great. We really liked him a lot, he was on it, OG from New York and timing was perfect. First time at this restaurant & was disappointed. The main dining hall is very nice with a high ceiling. We sat in one of two large side rooms that were more like hotel conference room decor. I have had really good meals here before, but not tonight....I showed up without a reservation, but the hostess was still able to seat me immediately, and I was impressed. Went early on NYE. Seemed like we were being rushed, maybe to turn the table over? Service was good, food also. Only problem was my wife ordered her filet medium well, specifically mentioned it to the server, and it came out medium rare. We returned it, and it came back so fast and hot we suspect they used a microwave to reheat it. Shouldn’t have this issue at a premium steakhouse.

Excellent service and absolutely delicious food, this is a perfect example of how a good quality restaurant is supposed to be. Weve had the ceaser salad every time we have visited and the rib eye as well as the filet are as tender and delicious as a steak can get. I have always been a fan of LGs and I still am but I didnt have a good night for steaks, I had the aged porterhouse and my wife has the filet mignon, both steaks had very little flavor, very unusual for LGs. Everything else was great (the Ceasar salad, au gratin cauliflower, and of course the wine. I spoke with our server and the manager and they were both very apologetic and very professional about the situation and worked to ensure we were happy with our experience at dinner. This will NOT keep from coming back, sometimes there is an of night. Thank you very much to the staff very being so helpful. See you again soon.

We went to LGs for a birthday dinner. The service is usually really good. The servers have plenty of help. There is an assistant to fill water, and there are food runners. The service was really poor this last time. The server had too many tables which didnt leave much time for him to check on us. We had to hunt him down to drop the check. For 3 people we spent almost $500. We wont be back. Dont slam your servers with so many tables.

Wife’s steak was way to well done. Sent is back and again ask for Medium and it came out raw. Seemed like the chef was payback. Our guest also had his $60 steak over cooked. I had the lobster tail. It was soft and stringey. Scallop potatoes had so much garlic could barely eat them. Bill was slightly over $1,100. Never going to this restaurant again.

I really hate to do this.... the restaurant was nice. The service was OK. Everybody at my table seemed to like what they got. I got a rib-eye. It was the fattiest, most disgusting piece of meat Ive ever ordered in a restaurant. I took half of it home thinking and hoping that I was saving the best part for today. Well, I just ate the second half and it was just as fatty and disgusting. It was my 65th birthday dinner... I wish that I had chosen another place, but LGs came highly recommended. I will not repeat the mistake.

There are not enough stars to check off how much we loved this place. We visited during our 25-year wedding anniversary. The staff treated us with so much kindness from the moment we arrived and it never stopped. We felt that they were appreciative of our business and wanted us to have a good experience. The food was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! We are not fond of steakhouses because the steaks are usually tasteless and we feel like the restaurant is only focused on placing an enormous piece of flesh in front of us. But this experience was different. We both ordered rib-eye and it was not what we expected. The portion size was perfect for us(even though we couldn’t eat it all). The steak literally melted in our mouth. We ordered the asparagus and couldn’t stop eating it. But what made us happier than anything was how we were treated. The waitstaff was on point the entire evening, but never made us feel that they were hovering! !

The steaks were on par with Mastros tad better than Ruths Chris. The service was lacking it is hard for a server to ride the line between privacy and servicing the patron. Our server was a little too far on the privacy side. What bothered me the most was my wife had to box her left overs. Yes it seems petty, but I took my wife to dinner for her to not have to worry about such things. Only to enjoy a good meal. We came to LGs after a terrible experience at another restaurant where the manager was so rude we had to walk out (Morgans). We were greeted with such friendliness and caring that we knew we had made the right move to come here. From the minute we walked in, everyone was so nice and welcoming. Our waiter did a great job and our food was perfectly prepared. We marveled at the fact that they got five dinners served, piping hot and all of the meat was at exactly the temperature that was ordered by each one of us.Three of us had the small fillets which were plenty large enough for a big appetite, they were probably 2 inches tall. Everyone said how tender and well seasoned their steaks were. One in our party had the ribeye and was going on and on about how tender and flavorful it was. Our last friend ordered a pork chop and it was huge! She was very happy with it. Our side dishes were great too. Try the green beans. It sounds boring but they were so flavorful, i dont know how they seasoned them but they were fantastic. the potatoes au gratin was so creamy and cheesy, so good. we also all had Caesar salads and they were well dressed and yummy.All in all, we had a wonderful evening and highly recommend LGs to anyone who wants a great steak and to be treated as a valued customer.

My husband and I ordered primerib, it was not served the way I ordered and it had lots of fat and gristle. My husbands prime rib was also undercooked. What a truly delightful experience my husband and I had there last Saturday night! One of the main reasons was our waiter Joe a man who was charming, delightful, informative, and just provided the best dining experience I have had in ages! So I used the website to place and order at this location but for some reason it sent it to Palm Springs location!😩 when I to this one they had no idea what I was talking about! It’s my Anniversary, visiting from Sacramento, and its 930p with no time to go to the other place. With that said, this was some of the best service I have EVER experience at a restaurant! An I work in this industry!Alex the bartender and the Manager (sorry can’t remember your name) was very polite. The manager called the other location to straighten things out, placed my order, and didn’t charge me again! Alex, talked me down (because I was very embarrassed) and also gave us a dessert for our anniversary! And YES the food was delicious! Last night 4 of us dined together our reservation was at 5:15pm our bill with tip was almost $840 throughout our meal the restaurant was never more than 1/3 full so the fact the soup, main meal and afterwards cappuccinos were ice cold is so unacceptable. Did I send anything back? No, I worked in the industry for a long time and in this Covid climate as few of people handling my food is the better choice so I ate it cold. The waiter was not attentive at all. In the car on the way home I told my husband once again that will be the last time we go there for a long time...somehow we do end up back there as a last choice once or twice every 2 to 3 years but it strictly because of convenience for all the parties involved and its because of that we end up there when we are not focused on a good meal...when we are focused on great food and great service LGs is never a contender. Folks there are several great choices in the desert but a #1 spot for us is Mastros in Palm Desert. Its a shame LGs just cant get it right but after giving them many many chances they still remain the same an EXPENSIVE but not very good steak house!

We reserved a table here for our anniversary expecting a romantic evening. The entire restaurant was wide open and we were seated in the front corner next to two large groups. The groups were extremely loud which made talking amongst ourselves difficult.The steaks tasted like they were worth $20 a piece instead of $50 a piece. Typically the staff at an upscale restaurant would ask you to cut into your steak and make sure it was cooked properly. This never occurred and the steaks were over cooked.No one on the staff ever mentioned our anniversary which we put in the notes of the reservation. I’d expected more after paying what we did.

A great steakhouse that you will have to shell out for. LGs provides excellent service and great food with a decent menu. Outdoor and indoor seating options with an ambience that doesnt stand out above other steakhouses. Steaks are a la carte, so expect around $100 / person with drinks and sides. My meal was prepared exactly as asked and was very enjoyable - from the oysters, to the NY strip and asparagus. Definitely worth a stop if you havent been before.

They have a delightfully fresh and large salad that two can spilt. My only complaint is that our old fashions were not the best quality, we sent them back and opted for a whiskey sour which was perfect. I went in to have a beer recently and wanted to leave a good review. The service and ambience were great and it was surprisingly mellow for a Friday night during tennis tournament. Only thing I missed out on was the “French Dip Sandwich” which brought me in (hope they bring it back)When I sat down I was greeted literally immediately with a warm welcome and menu from Alex. I started with some Fanny Bay and a local “Even Par” from La Quinta Brewing Company. What stood out to me is that I was in gym clothes and new balances. I had just washed my car and didn’t look like a savvy diner.Another bartender Elpidio came to check in as I was reading menu. I felt very well attended to. Service was as good as if I had been dressed in a suitFor first course the oysters were great, much smaller than Fanny Bay normally are in my experience. These were only slightly larger than a Kumamoto. As my oysters were dropped another bartender checked in to offer me Tabasco and I obliged since I was impressed by his fast response. Beer was just what I wanted, flavorful and potent but still easy drinkingI ordered another beer and the house cheeseburger and went to the restroom. This is where Alex started to impress me. As I left for the restroom my napkin fell. I noticed right as the napkin hit the floor and picked it up to fold. Alex switched it out for a new napkin immediately. I then watched Alex’s table presence where he had a special talent for putting his arm around people and making them feel welcome. When I saw him do it to the two black gentlemen who were also dressed down like myself I knew he had a great hospitality background. I asked where he had worked before and it was from New York which made perfect sense; reminded me of one of my favorite servers of all time Adam TomlinsonI had only drank a beer and a half which should be fine for a 220 lb guy, but all I had eaten all day was oysters. I felt a decent buzz coming on and decided to pack my burger to go so as not to seem like a lightweight. We dined at LGs last night to celebrate New Years. The service was absolutely impeccable, with friendly, attentive, accommodating staff, but the dinner was a disappointment. The $44 slice of prime rib that we both ordered was large, (16 ounces) but chewy, gristley, and not as flavorful as one would expect from prime rib. And then $8 for an a la carte baked potato made the whole meal quite expensive. This was our first time eating there, but it will probably be our last. We went to LGs a few years and was unhappy with the service, so we waited and waited, and just last week my husband and I (old school), said maybe we should give them one more try. So we made reservations and went, they had a booth ready for us with a sign that said reserved. Neither of us drink alcohol and usually we tell them we dont drink, so I said to my husband lets not say anything about us not drinking, so we ordered a special water, and I usually order cranberry and 7-up, and my husband ordered a glass of cranberry. They asked if we wanted to see the wine list and we said no thank you. We ordered our dinner, we had the Ceazer Salad, they make it right at the table, we love that extra touch, and had a bone in prime filet it was out of this world, so we made my husbands birthday reservations at the end of the month and will be looking forward to my husbands birthday dinner. They are the best in the valley for sure. I am glad we gave them a second chance, and the waiter that served us years ago was no longer there.

After a slow start to service, things got a little better. Buy then one of our steaks wasnt cooked to order, but the waiter did I immediately replace it. The steak was tender with mild flavor.

He is rude, unappreciative of his customers, and very condescending.They charge for items we did not order and do not even apologize for itWe will not be back .

Must have been an uncharacteristically bad night, but LGs was easily the worst steakhouse experience Ive ever had. In fact, all four in our dinner party agreed. The first red flag may have appeared when the salads were served on very warm plates - while odd was not disastrous. But conditions only deteriorated from there. The steaks, including 1 ribeye, 2 filets, and a prime rib were all of poor quality and flavor. The worst dish was my colleagues prime rib - best described as inedible, like a serving of silverskin and moose hide. The crab legs resembled those of a large grasshopper while the sides featured notes of wallpaper paste and early winter woody shrub prunings. Interestingly, another friend dined at LGs the following evening and said it was excellent, so it would appear our experience was an anomaly, though I will not bother testing that hypothesis.

WOW to their meat. This is the place to go if youre looking for some excellent steak. Our table ordered a variety of cuts and everyone was happy with their steak. Watch out for the sizzling plates, though. The only thing that was underwhelming was the side dishes.
