I think the photos speak for themselves! The Biscuits and gravy & Veggie Benny looked delicious, smelled divine, and had my tastebuds dancing the tango! The food was cooked to perfection and the hospitality was very welcoming, having the chef check on my table with a smile and down-to-earth attitude made it all a great first-time experience
Deeeeeeeelicious!!! The fried cheese curds are the bomb. We also ordered the fried chicken and biscuit with tater tots. Everything was so tasty. The use of spices is ✨wonderful✨
It’s been on my to do list for a while. I finally made it here. I ordered the Spicy Thai Mac n Cheese with porchetta and the tots with Parmesan garlic sauce. Both were very good. I’m torn by the fact that the meal was really expensive. We are talking about a Mac n cheese and tots and I ordered a mango fresca. All this for $43 with tips. Though I like the food and atmosphere, I’m not happy to pay that price point. I’ll leave it up to you who reads this review. Just be prepared. Not sure if I would come back because for $43 I could get a lot more food because the portion sizes certain doesn’t reflect that price.
I’ve been wanting to check this place out since it popped up on my IG! And boy did they not disappoint! 🤤 I got the curry chicken tacos and they were 🔥🔥 The mustard chicken sandwich and French toast were also so good!! I can’t wait to go back.

This place has some really tasty vegan options!! The chilled noodle special was amazing, but the strawberry toast ended up being the favourite. So fresh, light, filling, and delicious. 😍 The ice cream was also worth trying and was so refreshing in the Fresno heat.
I did not know this place even existed except for a few days ago. I have passed by it plenty of times driving around downtown as it is very much a hole in the wall. But this place is delicious! We ordered an array of food and none of it was a disappointment. Nice atmosphere with plenty of pictures and little things to look at. Staff was very friendly, helpful, and welcoming. Would recommend, definitely going back again.

First time here. We like to support local businesses when we can. My son had the Apple cinnamon roll french toast $10. You have to see the pic to really get an idea of it. It is filling. I had the Mushroom Toast $12 and yes, it was also filling. Great taste! Check the pic of the 2 fried eggs on top. The wife had the delicious Veggie Benny $12. Located in downtown Fresno.
Everything that we ordered was PACKED WITH FLAVOR. It was so good! The presentation and attractiveness of the dishes is also worth a comment. I wish I’d taken a few pictures.

This was our first visit to the Restaurant, which was highly recommended by our daughter and son in law.We are so glad we went, this is a hidden gem. Kim our waitress was so sweet and helpful. We ordered as an appetizer the curried potato salad....soooo good.For our main dish we had the Fig Bleu Burger that comes with tator tots. OMG...the sweetness of the Fig and the combo with the cheese, wow!Thank you to the chef...we will be returning.
Staff was very friendly and welcoming. Manager or owner came out to ask how things were. Food was great. I ordered the cinnamon roll and it was the size of a dinner plate. Outdoor seating in the fresh air, parking available all around. Easy access from Hwy 99.

Someone suggested this little spot to me so i figured why not? I was not disappointed! The food was amazing and the atmosphere was great. I had the eggs benedict and everything avocado toast. If youre looking for a great brunch definitely check this place out! I will be back soon.

Something about made it exquisite, I mean it was absolutely amazing! I’d give them 6 stars if I could. My girl had the big a$$ breakfast burritos, again had its own unique flavor.
Went to today and the food was really good. We had grill cheese and a peach fruit sandwich. However our server ruined it all. She was very rude. To top it off she had a short black shirt and bent over and no need to say more.

Very enjoyable experience. Although it is not a vegan restaurant, they can make almost all their dishes vegeterian/vegan friendly. We had the bulgogi tacos and the big a$$ breakfast burrito, which were both very good!

Terrific! This funky little diner is out off the beaten path but well worth the diversion. Lots of emphasis on farm-to-table. The chef is head chef at The Vineyard in Madera, and his high end experience shows in the perfect execution and beautiful presentation of classic dishes like goat cheese-stuffed French toast. The front of house is warm and inviting. A delightful surprise.

I have been looking for a local place to eat...this is the spot! I love the decor, the atmosphere, and the restroom is clean. I had the Fig French Toast with Ricotta, this dish is Delish! It was recommended by the waitress, she mentioned it was a seasonal dish, and their last week serving it. The only downside, I cant knock the restaurant for it, is the parking, but its worth the walk, and a parking meter. Blessings.

This little hole in the wall is a GEM. The food is inspired, delicious, hearty and unique farm to table local ingredients. The prices are insanely reasonable for this quality of food. I would drive to the next city over for this good of food and I will now turn into a regular that they are annoyed to see so much.

This place was such a find. They had a berry cream water that was very refreshing and the Chef had made a lavender cruffin I didnt think I was going to like but I thoroughly enjoyed. (Yes I had some sweet before I ate.. Lol I looked at it as breakfast) and then the curry chicken tacos for lunch. It all tasted so fresh and flavorful. I also couldnt leave with out one of their Big A$$ cinnamon rolls. I will definitely be back
Very good! especially the squash soup.chicken sandwich was very tasty as well.i personally would ask for the chicken to be cooked a little less.its fried chicken so that may be hard to do.but the fresh made ketchup ( for the tater tots)and (what i assume is) homemade mayo. was very good.service was top of the line. great overall experience! ill be back very soon.i wonder every day what the soup of the day is.

My husband and I stopped in here during a road trip. I chose the place because Im vegan and the options looked good and were clearly marked on the menu. I also liked that it had outdoor seating.The food was really good. My husband enjoyed a breakfast burrito (breakfast is available all day). It was non-traditional with things like Cauliflower, he didnt mind the added ingredients as all but thought is was a little light on meat, though it had plenty egg and cheese to give it substance.I had the chicken fried mushroom sliders. Enjoyed the tater tots that came with it. Wish it was served with one more slider (only came with 2).We both liked the curry ketchup too and both of us usually dont bother with ketchup.
Curry chicken tacos wereColorful and totally delicious. Exceeded expectation. Would be great if they built a little overhang outside to make mid day outdoor seating more inviting. Inside was cool and comfortable and with eclectic art and happy customers, but I still prefer outdoors.

Ordered eggs Benedict with potatoes on side. Still haven’t seen the potatoes. The sauce is interesting to say the least and the pork is gamey. I love eggs Benedict but this is not good. Waisted money!

Food was so good! I appreciate that they both have veggie/vegan BUT ALSO meat options for those of us who like meat. The staff was super nice and I truly love the atmosphere of a locally owned, downtown spot, not just another junk chain restaurant. The menu is soulfood, homemade, and high quality but NOT hipster overpriced. Im probably gonna come back a lot so I can try everything on the menu.
The food here has no business being as good as it is! My partner and I ate at Libelula while we were staying in Fresno to visit national parks. She had the Veggie Benedict and absolutely loved it, clearly homemade hollandaise and very fresh unique flavors. I got the Chicken Biscuit and was blown away. We live in Nashville and this chicken biscuit beat a lot of famous fried chicken joints back home. The chicken was battered and fried fresh to order, the biscuit was perfect--fluffy on the inside, crispy on the outside, and the portions were big. Standard California entreé prices for outstanding food! We left impressed and most importantly, stuffed!
Very boutique and interesting eatery. Most items on the menu start with basics but they add very colorful and flavorful additions. I had chicken tacos. They are small chunks of deep fried chicken coated on curry with a fruit based salsa. And they were bomb diggetty! My wife however, got the fried chicken sandwich. It comes with a peach filled Cole slaw and a sweet and sour type sauce. She was not impressed, I thought it was pretty good. But you can see what I mean with starting with a basic and adding boutique to it. There are odd posters and pictures on all the walls, very colorful. They have odd books on every table. My table had an all about dragonflies book on it. Interesting place, interesting food. I would recommend if your adventurous and open minded to trying something different. Pricing was in the middle, reasonable for what you get.
My boyfriend and I regularly come here for breakfast and finally had dinner here. It was a delicious meal of scallops and steak perfectly cooked. Everything here is yummy and the vibe is great!

Libelula is my favorite place to eat in Fresno. They have some items that never change, but there is always something new to try. I have never had anything that I didn’t like here. Both locations have friendly employees and great service. I eat here at least a few times every week!

This food is beyond delicious. I had the fig french toast and totally delicious. I ordered the cinnamon roll and it was the size of a cake. It was loaded with flavor and not overly sweet icing. Just perfect and the size for 4-6 people. Owners Ian and Kim are the best. Their teenage daughter is the baker... yum yum Ivy. This was one fantastic experience of delicious food and Im very quaint setting. I highly recommend you try this new and family-owned restaurant. Their fruit water is delicious. Ian is the head chef at the Vineyard restaurant in Madera and he brings his unique recipes to his own restaurant in Fresno. Open from 9 to 3 Monday through Friday. So so good and a must to try. This is one very satisfied and content customer who just wants you to try something that I totally enjoyed next to the Crest theater in downtown Fresno.
Came here for the first time today and I will definitely go back! I had the Veggie Benny and it was super tasty! My daughter had the #basic a$$ breakfast and my friend had the Sriracha Maple Chicken Sandwich and they were both also happy with their meal. This place is very cool! A little bit off the beaten path, and a definite jewel in downtown Fresno.I had an excellent burger there... Super fresh, and great ingredients. My friend got the cauliflower tacos, which he liked a lot. We shared the roasted brussels sprouts, which come with an amazing Asian inspired sauce. If you dont like brussels sprouts, this will make a believer out of you. If you love brussels sprouts, get down there now!I think theyre open for breakfast also, and I believe they close at three, so its a great spot for those... Not for dinner though.If I could make a couple of suggestions, it would be for the young server to be a little more on top of things... We had to ask for menus, water, silverware etc. Not a big deal, and she was super nice once she got rolling. And the restroom could use a little attention.Here comes the sermon, so get ready. We need to rally around and support new places like this, folks! This is a really cool place, with some unique offerings... Others have posted photos of the menu... So lets welcome them into the Fresno foodie community and support them, OK?
This is the kind of place the Central Valley needs. A place that uses locally-sourced ingredients, experimental, family-owned place. Everyone was very nice. I ordered the Thai Mac N Cheese, and it was killer. So much flavor and texture. Good size bowl. The owner let us sample their cinammon roll. To. Die. For! Do yourself a favor, and visit this place!

Youd walk by if you werent looking for it, but dont pass this place up! Delicious, interesting dishes. Hubs had the Pork belly banh mi and I had the siracha maple chicken sandwich. Both meats cooked perfectly. Both had a good serving of tots on the side with a homemade ketchup sauce with a hint of curry I think. Service was quick and pleasant. Definitely coming back!

And their staff is always wonderful. It doesnt get much better than that.I could go on forever about all the great things about this place, but you should really go try it for yourself. Food was amazing, flavor profile was good, unique, but overly rich! After a few bites flavors were overwhelming. Our whole party said the same thing, too much of a good thing isnt always good. Seating was a little uncomfortable for me personally, because Im a bigger woman the chairs didnt feel sturdy enough. Embarrassingly wanted to ask for a another chair but didnt. I will recommend to others to try this place out. Ill be back, probably order to go 🙈🙈🙈 lol

We love Libelula. We dont get downtown often and found it one night during ArtHop (the only night they are open, otherwise lunch only, Mon-Sat 😭). We have been making pilgrimages downtown to eat here ever since.Everything is good, no exceptions I have yet found. Their tater tots and the homemade ketchup are to die for, and if they dont already come with your meal you should get some as a side. They always have a special water, which is very juice-y and delicious. Seriously, if I could eat here every day I would. Service is great, kitchen is wonderful, just go!!

I ordered the truffle garlic mac n cheese, it was easily the best mac n cheese Ive ever had. The food came out fast and the service was good.
The basic burger is stacked with 2 beef patties and definitely gets you full. It is a little pricey at about $15 but its a pretty decent burger. Im now curious to try things from their changing menu.

If not having Mexican food (my favorite Mexican restaurant still superseded this in my opinion), then Libelula is my favorite restaurant. Hands down. Also, being a creature of habit, to find a restaurant which actually attracts me to try different dishes rather than the same one (once I find what I like), really says something. Cinnamon rolls bigger than from the fair, grilled cheese with stone fruit (never would have thought of that), etc. Amazing restaurant. I have a background in marketing and graphic design as well as journalism. All of my experience is at their disposal anytime they wish. Its just that good.
Benedict was sloppily assembled and under salted. Bread was under toasted and the meat fatty but not crispy. Gave me a stomach ache. Tots were fine though, but tots are tots.
A jewel of a place. It was worth the extra hour we added to our drive just so we could taste the wonderful food and soak in the charming bohemian vibe. These people are gastronomical artists of the highest order.

I have been here for lunch multiple times and the food is amazing all of it is locally sourced and there are changes to the menu on a regular . Service is also friendly and it was easy to get in-and-out within an hour.

This place has the kind of menu you wont find anywhere else. Boring doesnt seem to be an option here, everything on the menu has something or multiple things that are different and exciting about them. Food is delicious, fresh, and the regularly changing menu keeps this place interesting enough to return to over and over again.

The food was great. Had the chicken and biscuit over tots. Actually had Mexican Coke and Mexican Sprite.

2023-12-03 00:25:38My experience was disappointing. Ive been wanting to try this place for over a year, read and saw so many good reviews and photos. I wanted to like this place since the vibe, customers and service are friendly and genuine. I was thinking we just ordered the wrong things but we did not enjoy anything we ordered. The Thai Mac n Cheese tasted like it had no salt and the only flavor you got was from the chili, garlic and fried garlic. The breakfast burrito wasnt dry but it also didnt taste like it had seasoning. The tots were ok, the ketchup wasnt your typical ketchup it was more tomatoe-y and saucy which I liked. I was not a fan of the Sriracha mapel chicken sandwich bread and sauce. We tasted our food and packed it to go as a courtesy. Restaurant is located downtown so theres limited parking. Theres indoor and outdoor seating. The bakery next door closes at 3pm. They have a lot of vegan and vegetarian dishes on the menu.

I got the chicken dill sandwich that was WAY beyond my expectations and honestly turned out to be one of the best chicken sandwiches I have ever had. I love the artistry in the food, and you can tell the kitchen staff have a passion for food and it shows in their menu. Highly recommend giving this place a shot if you’re thinking about it.

2022-12-10 03:44:08My husband and I are visiting here long term and today was my second visit. The first was last week for lunch, which was pretty darn delicious. Mostly, the food today was good. This is a good location on the edge of downtown with easy access to metered street parking, and it seems like the chef/owner is wanting to make a name for himself in the Fresno food scene. We give high marks for the desire to bring good food to mediocre Fresno.This is a breakfast/lunch spot. The first order of the day when it comes to breakfast is coffee. The coffee was so weak it tasted like water. The second cup from a fresh pot was a little better, but also quite bitter. Honestly, they could do better with the coffee... Thats the huge profit maker in a restaurant so I dont understand why they dont A) offer better or more coffee options, and B) use a better quality coffee as a first offering to breakfast customers. The Eggs Benedict was passable - the poached eggs and hollandaise sauce were impeccably executed and on point, but the pork (or was it chicken??) was flavorless and tough to chew. Perhaps a marinade for the meat is in order if youre going to sub for traditional ham/Canadian bacon? It would be nice to have the choice to be gluten free. Glutino makes a nice GF English muffin that can be kept in the freezer until needed. (Just a suggestion to open the menu to more people who have food sensitivities.) Also, I find it odd that such nice presentations and flavor combinations met with an inability to make an over easy egg. The over easy eggs were ordered as a side to the bread pudding french toast, which was moist and tasty, but needed more flavor - cinnamon was way to light. The eggs were just plain rubbery. I mean, cmon, over easy eggs arent rocket science and if a truck stop can get them right - how much more so should one be able to execute them when charging such grandiose prices? I mean, Im not opposed to paying high prices for well executed meals. My husband and I are foodies and we dont cheat our stomachs so when we pay $60 for breakfast we expect to be more than just satisfied with it. We want to be able to rave about it. Another issue we had with this venue was the dirt. We get the concept of grunge meets downtown eclectic artists that Libelula seems to be shooting for. However, dirty walls and thick dirt and nasty fingerprint smears on the windows was a bit much. It didnt give a feeling that one could trust the cleanliness of the kitchen. One shouldnt have to question that when eating out.All in all, the presentation was amazing, the food could use better execution, the flavor combinations were good. We will give this place one more try and hope that the cleanliness has been addressed.

2022-08-23 22:01:46Needed a quick late lunch in downtown Fresno and decided to try Libelula. I’d heard from a couple different friends it’s one of their favorite unique spots in Fresno for breakfast brunch or lunch.OMG. From the first bite I jumped into Google to start this review! My server suggested one of her favorites since it was my first time in: the Curried Fried Chicken Tacos. Admittedly I wouldn’t have picked this off the menu as several other items caught my eye, but oh man I would have missed out. The flavor combination of fried chicken, a light spice curry, cilantro, pineapple, pickled onions, and I think.. blue cheese?? on three house-made tortillas is so fresh and unique yet simple. You’ll see from my photos that I barely finished the first one before snapping a picture of this absolute must-try.I stopped in just before the kitchen closed for the day and had no trouble finding a table inside. Outside seating is available but it’s probably better/cooler during the breakfast hours (more shaded by the building). Definitely coming back again soon!

2023-11-03 17:42:47I don’t usually do reviews but these guys deserve. The food is fire. I can’t think of 1 place that could put it down like this in Fresno. The demon bacon burger was off the hook. Tots were great. Asked for ranch because I hate ketchup but they didn’t have any. I tried the ketchup and that was even good. Good stuff right here for sure.

2022-07-28 04:49:57Do not get the strawberry fennel salad - kale was old with yellowing and dotted pieces in salad. The kale was too hard and included the ribs, so was not properly prepared for a salad. The kale should be dressed and rubbed to make it chewable and it was not. The avocado was chopped in little pieces and unripe. So, hard little pieces of avocado and a labor to pick out. Very few strawberries to kale ratio. This is supposed to be a strawberry and fennel salad and the ratio was not that. The salad dressing was basically and probably only a whole grain mustard. This is such a disappointment. I was supposed to go Friday with work friends and after Instagram messaging Libelula with no response, I will tell my coworkers tomorrow not to go, because the food is not a chef quality product. My partner and I wanted to try dinner and now we wont. It wasnt a lame salad or boring, but not eatable and bad. It is still sitting in my work fridge and I will throw it out tomorrow, because it cant be salvaged. $15 bucks plus tip down the drain paid by an office assistant that is new to town. Libelula, a chef owned and driven restaurant is what we seek out and are used to where we come from. That salad was garbage and shouldnt have left the kitchen.
