Had no idea this gem existed!Love the vibe and ambience!Parking can be a little tough but still amazing!They have outdoor and indoor seating.The menu is extensive and its hard to choose.Yass to a wonderful brunch location with doggos around.Servers were amazing and keep our drinks refilled.Highly recommend.

Lets not kid ourselves. The wait is very long. Anyone that says otherwise is lying.Now, being as busy as they are . They do serve the food within a decent wait time.Half of the staff needs to smile more. Not so welcoming.The food is hot and nothing is over seasoned. The price is comparable to everywhere else. Good quality. I wish the had real fruit juice . They dont fill the plate with a bunch of carbs which is nice . Everything comes in at the same time we ordered 4 plates. I had the country fried steak, and eggs Benedict. My son had chicken and waffles which was chicken breast. He said it was great. His mom had eggs Benedict Florentine. They couldnt finish it cause theyre light weights. Lol I do appreciate the fine detail. Of cooking the asparagus garnish perfectly.. They can get away with it and no one will know. But I tried it and it was cooked perfect.

The restaurant was clean and busy, but not very loud. When you walk in the door, you grab a menu and seat yourself. Patio seating is available and dog friendly.Waitress was attentive. She checked on me regularly and refilled my tea numerous times.I had the California omelet (ham, bacon, mushrooms, onions). It was large, and took up half of my plate.It was absolutely delicious. It came with country potatoes and toast.Also ordered an extra pancake for $3.95. It was fluffy and delicious.You can expect to spend about $20 per person here. My bill total: $23

Came here on a weekend morning around 11 and there was no wait time. Excellent hospitality (the gal at reception is so sweet) and great menu items. Had Eggs Benedict - highly recommended - and Mediterranean Omelette. Fast service as well. Small little gem it is.

I have been here a couple of times. The food is fresh and very good. The cream of mushroom soup was excellent. Indoor dining during rush hour was a little noisy. The second visit we sat outside and it was great. Great service.

Ive eaten at Lidos a few times and have found the food and service to be consistently good. Ive had both breakfast and lunch. Breakfast always comes with good portion sizes and I particularly like their bacon (thick-cut and crispy!). The place is typically busy but weve never had to wait very long. I recommend!

We ordered the pork chops & eggs. We both were disappointed with the pork chops after our waitress raved they were good. Our order came out last of 4 dishes. We hoped that was because pork takes time to cook. Our pork chops were so thin. Nice sear but it was like cutting leather. No seasoning even with sausage gravy. I enjoyed other dishes there but never again pork chops

The owner is a gem...beautiful ..inside and out...brilliant food! Portions are great,price fair...and I havent met the baker...but this person is a master!!the baked goods display is NEVER shy of treats to make the jaw ache and mouth water...eggs Benedict (all of them) ate phenomenal...and you can get a decent cocktail at 7am if your down! Updated review, July 29, 2022:Lidos is still busy with an upscale, local crowd. Some perks I didnt mention in my previous review...Lidos is dog friendly on their outdoor patio! And, they have a full bar for mimosas, bloody Marys, and any adult drink you desire.Fresh baked cinnamon rolls are available on Saturday and Sunday. Other pastries are available daily.Lido Cafe and Bakery has been in the neighborhood a long time! Shawna has moved into a bigger space with sole focus on the restaurant. The restaurant serves breakfast and lunch, and offers a dinner menu Wednesday thru Sunday. Check the website for specifics. My family enjoyed Easter brunch at Lido and we were quite happy with our meal. We ordered Strawberry French Toast, Country Fried Steak and a Turkey Bacon Avocado sandwich. Everything was very tasty! The service staff looked great and was very attentive! Our server, Gustavo, was GREAT! There is a bakery display of beautiful pastries that greets you as you arrive. Youll be full when you leave, so order them to take home!

Food was good service was great place was clean and well organized.They charged a 3% convenience fee for using a credit card. Their prices are high and credit card use is normal. Credit card fees should be built in. If they want to encourage cash use give a discount. The place was busy so evidently many patrons dont object, but i will not be back.

This is a great hidden Gem in Carmichael! If you know, you know how great it is! The food is fresh and delicious. They serve chips and salsa with most meals, which is a little different. They are open for breakfast and lunch and have a great menu. Its usually busy, and parking can be an issue, but its worth it. All of the customer service I have had there has been awesome!

By far the best cafe in town! The food is so delicious, and you can tell it’s made with fresh ingredients and not a lot of grease. It’s like Black Bear Diner, but better in every way. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Prices are low and the portion size is just right. Cannot recommend this place more, it’s perfect.

First time visit, but now we plan on coming back more. Their slogan seems to hit the mark: best kept secret in Carmichael. We had a waffle that was better than normal ones, they add something to the batter that made it pretty tasty, maybe some cinnamon and other spices. Our scrambled eggs were perfect, but the country potatoes seemed to lack any seasoning, which can be ok for some people so you can add the amount of salt/pepper you prefer.

IF I COULD 4.5 STARS!!!!!! ^-^I came to this cafe and I was greeted with a warm smile and I loved their hospitality, especially Shauna! She handled and tended to my needs whenever she had the time, especially when I was the only guest while everyone else came in as parties of two or more. The food was amazing, I ordered the Early Bird Sandwhich and their tropical ice tea. This place does get busy and being tucked in to the side tables, close to the entrance where everyone waits does ruin my experience for a bit. Have PATIENCE, UNDERSTANDING, and the food and the service WILL BE WORTH THE WAIT for this local business. The place was packed when we walked in! Even so, we were immediately greeted by multiple employees. Our server got us water right away. The white mocha was amazing. So flavorful and not too sweet. Their homemade whip cream is so thick, creamy, and to die for! The food came out super quick, especially with how full the restaurant was. Even with so many guests it is not overcrowded at all. They have an outside patio and little menu for doggies, too!!! Highly recommend to anyone. The menu is huge and can satisfy almost anybody. Full bar and drinks too! We Had the most fabulous breakfast I have ever had in my entire life. I had an Omelet that had ham, bacon, cheese, mushrooms, onions. It was fabulous the hash Browns were fabulous Ive never had those kind of hash Browns before. I forgot to take a photo but I will next time. This is my 1st time at Lido Cafe and Bakery. We were here with my son and his girlfriend and we thought we were just having breakfast And then all the sudden my son says we have some news mom and grandma. And I was like in my mind OMG!! Great first time experience and highly recommend this place. Nikki was our server and she was very high energy, friendly, and attentive. I had the corned beef hash which was delicious and heart. Definitely got a lot of food for a nice price. My girlfriend got one of the Lido blast coffee drinks and ho boy. If you like sweet coffee this thing is utterly amazing. Housemate whipped cream was a nice touch. Everything was very tidy and clean. I look forward to coming here again.

This is place is great. The owner and staff are so friendly and helpful, the menu is very diverse with something very everyone. The soup is homemade, it was fresh and very tasty. Had the tuna melt, which was perfectly seasoned, the bread grilled to perfection. The deserts are homemade and are fantastic. Had the lemon bar, one of the best I have had. First, the owner of the restaurant is amazing! She really cares about her restaurant, her employees, and her customers. If something goes wrong, she wants to make it right. This place has good food and great staff, but Ill never be coming in again. The owners of this business belong in prison- its come out that they withheld over $160,000 in overtime pay from their employees, paying them in cash at regular time rates or just straight hawking their hours and refusing to pay. Anyone who runs a business like this (ie: unfairly and off the backs of their workers) needs to get an unequivocal message from consumers that this is completely unacceptable.Heres what the owner brags about from her own yelp profile: great service, good food, very clean! Its not a coincidence that ownership/management has nothing to do with any of that lol.

We stumbled upon Lido Cafe in our search for a bakery to kill time between doctor appointments, and I am happy to have landed there. Because of the outdoor seating for covid, we wound up ordering a full breakfast to share instead of just muffins. We shared a 2x2x2, with French toast, eggs and sausage, and were not disappointed. There were 4 large slabs of French toast, two 4-inch sausage patties, and 2 eggs poached to perfection. I was happy we split the meal because we were both stuffed. Service was excellent. I finally discovered the pastry counter when I went inside to use the restroom, and will have to explore that further on the next visit.

My wife and I went to dinner at Lido on a Friday night and could not have been more disappointed. I really wanted to like this restaurant, as it is locally owned and operated, visually charming, clean and it serves throughout the day. Both the service and the food were poor. I ordered a beer, but the server returned to tell me it was one of several they don’t have, although they are printed on the menu. My wife asked for a different sauce on her order; the server returned to tell us it couldn’t be done. We were brought our appetizer without utensils or plates, we had to ask for those. Each of our entrees was made incorrectly, mine did not contain the meat I ordered and my wife’s was made so improperly that it had to be started over again. At no time were we offered anything to make up for the errors, and at no time did any manager, etc. visit our table. The server, upon presenting the bill, indicated that we hadn’t been charged for two small items, totaling $5, on a $50 bill. That was the extent of the apology for the poor meals. Ordinarily I would have asked for a manager, but we had guests and we were on a schedule, and needed to leave. I can get better food and equal or better service at dozens of walk-up or family style restaurants, we won’t be back to Lido.

Not sure if the burger buns here are just not to my liking or if mine was stale. It was pretty hard on top and it wasnt from being toasted. It was also very dry. The inside of the burger was pretty good so unfortunate that the bun was so disappointing. The rest of my family ordered other things and they all liked their dishes.Still giving 3 stars since the inside of the burger was good and the service was friendly and the server came back to check on us often.

Ive been here 5 or 6 times. Never had to wait very long to be seated, even at a peak time (helps that Ive only been here in a group of 2 or 3). Everything weve ordered has been absolutely delicious. They are very kind and understanding about doing substitutions. Once I had ordered an omelet with a side pancake and the server suggested I get the pancake subbed for the toast that comes with the omelet to save money. Little things like that are what keeps repeat customers. If you like espresso, their espresso is pretty good...thats coming from a coffee snob! The potatoes on the side were a really nice ratio of soft to crispy though they need more flavor. The biscuit was okay. The Omelette itself was good with a nice amount of flavor. It really helped that the chef wasnt stingy and put enough shrimp into it that I had a shrimp in every bite. The veggies in it didnt overwhelm the omelette. Visiting Lidos feels like visiting family. The food is always on point. Their corn beef hash, chicken and waffles, steak and eggs are all great for breakfast and brunch. I placed an order with Lido Cafe through Postmates. When my Postmate arrived she was informed by the owner that they do not accept Postmates deliveries. Odd, because the restaurant accepted my order. I called the restaurant and was informed that the menu items that were listed online were not actually available. My Lido Cafe experiences (I am a neighborhood regular) are ALWAYS pleasant and enjoyable (as well as always delicious)! The wait staff members are also always super friendly and attentive; they are very efficient too!!

I have never had such a poor experiance with a restaurant before. Paid $9.95 for a bowl of cabbage cores and three slices of rubbery chicken. Listed as a chinese chicken salad. run dont walk from this place.

It was good but a little pricey the french dip came with chips and salsa they were good but kind of weird with a french dip 🤔fries were another 3 dollars 15+ for a sandwich no drink.

It has always been great food, service, and atmosphere here at Lido. We have frequented this quaint cafe probably a few dozen times in the last 2 years and have never been disappointed even on their busiest days!

Lido Cafe puts milk in their scrambled eggs for some reason. I had to request them without milk as I am badly allergic to dairy. If you are also allergic, be aware of this. Otherwise, this is a nice spot to get a meal.

Best cafe in town! Great wait staff and food is the best. Its just a lovely place to go with family or friends, outside tables for pets and with a pets menu!

This place doesnt feel as homey since they moved down the street, but the food is still great! If you live in Carmichael, I highly suggest trying out this breakfast joint at least once.

WOW! Not too sure where some of these people were eating. First off, let me be completely honest, the first time my party ate at the NEW Lido café location, the service was NOT GOOD - and I expressed it to the owner, Shawna, (sidenote - the food was FANTASTIC). Shawnas response? Apologized sincerely and more than made it up to me and my party. And I was pleased to discover the server had been coached up and was providing excellent service to ALL patrons! I respect the server for digging deep and growing. I also respect Shawna for caring so much - would have been a lot easier for her to just terminate the server. Now, back to the food - YUM! Pick ANYTHING - eggs benedict, Marty Cristo, (their twisted version), grilled cheese, best damn chili cheese dog, juicy burgers - pick ANYTHING! Dont get me started on the dessert case! YES! Carmichael does have a wonderful, delicious, locally owned and operated café - LIDO CAFE! Dont miss out!
