Well, the only security they had they decided to fire because of false accusations and lies without having any kind of investigation. Then, the camp host that started the lies goes around harassing and intimidating females when they are alone. To the ladies, keep aware, and watch out for yourself.

Dirt, dust, rodents, abandoned RVs, run down facilities, dead grass and weeds. Just some of the things I will remember this place for. Pretty sad considering the potential based on location. Then again seems the whole state of California is run down.
Awesome quiet lil RV park to pull into for the night. Beach access & ocean views. Recommend reserving spot online as office closes in the evening. The telephone number works & will be answered.

There is pavement all the way until you arrive at the park. Check in was efficient and friendly. The rules are fairly basic.Our site, 25, was a nose in that was long enough for our Coach and Towed. Services (30/50 amp, water and sewer and cable TV) were to the left side. Distancing is very reasonable for an urban park. There is no vegetation barriers or foliage to speak of other than grass, Each site has a table (in season) concrete patio, power (30/50) water, sewer and cable TV.. Our site was flat and even. Hardly an effort to level. Overall the park was clean and well manicured. The interior roads however, were atrocious! It is impossible to dodge potholes….wait, craters!!The included wifi worked very well with a log in password. We did find a few OTA TV. Satellite would not be a problem as there are no trees to hinder reception. The included Cable TV worked very well but with very few channel options. We did not use the washrooms or pay showers but we checked and found them clean.There is NOT a pathway to the beach that we found. One has to endure the hazards of stumbling down the broken concrete chunk barrier to get to the beach. Once over the obstacle course one can walk forever. We did note some trash along the shore line but not too much.Within walking distance (about a mile) are two seafood restaurants. Fisherman’s and Crescent Seafood. Crescent was highly recommended by the Camp Host. We did not try either. There are many other dining options as well as most other services within an easy drive. We found this park to be a well run urban RV park (except the roads). We paid $50.00 for an ocean front site plus $1.00 for the dog and $5.05 Tax for a total of 56.05 per night and we feel we received very good value. We will be back if in the area again. We did not use the washrooms or showers but we checked and found them clean.There is a bicycle/walking trail that follows the beach and into town.There are restaurants within an easy walk and just a short drive away you can find food, shopping and convenience stores. We found this park to be a good layover. We paid $56.00 per night (inc tax and extra for the dog) and we feel we received fair value. We will be back if in the area again.

HAVE A BACK UP PLAN! We booked this park in January. We had stayed here the year before and liked the park. We called the day before we were to arrive because we received an email saying the price was more than double what we were quoted. We were told we were in a premium spot. We did not request a premium spot. Our confirmation confirmed that. We were then told there were no other spaces available. Not even the space (70) that was supposed to be our spot. Then we were told someone called and canceled our reservation. If someone had called and canceled our reservation, why were we told we were expected and had a premium spot? So, they lied to us on top of everything else, and wouldnt make it right. So we drove 1,100 miles and had no place to stay. Luckily, we found another park that had a spot. This park had great views on some spots. 50A. Full hook up. Good wifi, which is unusual in an RV park. The roads definitely need some work. There used to be grass there and it is all dead now.
Stayed here for a week. Real close to beach, a plus. Staff (Kathy, Katherine, Dan, Vincent? (In office) all great, pleasant, easy check in. Several reasons tho for the 3 stars only.Cable TV hookup not working properly.Told on going problems. Is shown in rate as an amenity. Rate should be discounted then.Pet charge, 2bucks a day, per dog. Really! WHY? All the grass is dead, rest is gravel. The bag provided to discard the poop bags was full, overflowing, smelled when wind was just right! Emailed office about it, no reply. Ended up asking employee when she was out & about, (Katherine) she couldn’t even lift, it was so full & heavy! Did finally get dumped, thank you Katherine!Lastly & big reason, sadly, way too many displaced people. An E bike was stolen in broad daylight, right in front of people. They were so traumatized. Many live right next door, in the brush, light fires on beach, leave them burning along with their trash. Walk through the RV park, clearly intoxicated, yelling, swearing, definitely do not feel safe there. Unfortunately will not be staying there again.
Stayed in this park for 2 nights not too bad. We came to see the Redwoods, and wanted full hookups. Good location for Jedediah Smith Park and a day of hiking. Full hookups, wifi great, beautiful view of the ocean and lighthouse near by. Draw backs are: Point warning horn plays 24hrs 7days a week, yes while you try to sleep. No trees at all, gravel sites, very little grass. There was 1 homeless guy on the beach, but he was not threatening. Customer service was fantastic.
We felt improving the security most critical as we were advised to put heavy chains around our bikes. Wanted to feel relaxed on our vacation not sleeping with one eye open listening for thieves to strike. Noticed we didn’t have a picnic table at our site. The host Dan was very nice and informative.
Verizon speeds fast enough to hit my plan cap of 50 Mbps download and 5 upload. ATT was 191/45. Verizon via a roof mounted Pepwave antenna, ATT via smartphone.We rolled in without reservations on a Thursday and it was sparsely populated. We were able to snag one of the premium sites backing up to the ocean with a good view of the lighthouse. The site was gravel and lightly unlevel side to side. Sites were fairly spacious. The camp host came out to help us check-in before their official opening hours.No issues with any homeless or theft. Power was stable. The threads on our sewer hookup didnt work. Theres a bit of noise here from sea lions and a navigation beacon. The beacon didnt bother us much because wed been in another area with one for a week.
I really like the openness since we are by the water. Very roomy between coaches. I was dismayed by all the mud since the roads are not paved, but soon acclimated to it. I would definitely stay here again! Good price as well and centrally located. We left every day to explore.

Everything an rver needs. very spacious sites. very clean and nice flat concrete pad. on the ocean with nice view. many pull throughs. price is competitive except I was charged for my motorhome and then for my towed vehicle even though it fit well within the space on my pull though. most rv parks do not charge for this. a trailer and towe vehicle isnt charged as if two.
Could be awesome except it’s a crime-ridden city and homeless everywhere. When we pulled in they told us to use their big chain lock for our bikes because the homeless will come into the RV park and steal anything they can at night. Especially bikes. Folks are nice at the front desk and super helpful. They just need to fence the place off. It’s not enjoyable worrying about your stuff at night. Also the fog horn is so loud and annoying. Blows every 10 seconds 24-7. We’d planned to stay two nights but we’re going down the road out of crescent city.
Great camping in Crescent City! Able to walk or bicycle all over town as this park is centrally located. Camp hosts were so nice! Laundry-best price I’ve found traveling! Quiet campground with beautiful views! Weather got extremely windy one day, but it wasn’t bad in the cg! I’d stay here again!
My low review is solely for the City Counsel, who is not supporting efforts to keep this lovely RV park safe. On a recent stay, there were multiple thefts and car break-ins on both nights. Thankfully, we brought everything inside and did not have anything stolen, but I did not feel safe at all. Which is such a shame b/c it is located in the perfect spot for walking, biking or sightseeing and is otherwise, a well- maintained, really nice RV park.
Location was great. The the city allows anyone to pass thru the park to gain access to the beach. Which makes it easy for the local thieves to scope out paying patrons belongings. Didnt feel safe there at all. Bring a chain for bikes not cable locks.
This is a lovely little campground with ocean views and is super convenient to downtown Crescent City and the redwoods. The sites are spacious with lots of grass and nice gravel pads. The staff is friendly. The gravel roads do get pretty muddy and have some potholes after it rains, but they dry out fairly quickly once it stops. One of our favorite parts of staying here was listening to the sea lions in the harbor barking! They can be quite loud but we really enjoyed it.
It is a good place to stay! The employees and the park host Dan were very helpful! We needed a chain and lock for our bikes and they had one for us to use. I would recommend this place to everyone! We were right on the beach and it is clean. Thank you for a wonderful stay!
This is a super place to crash out! That fog horn brings you into a trance and the whole park seems to be on the same wave length! LoL Just the sounds of waves, dogs and the fog horn. Plus you can bike the whole town and not many hills. Easy to reserve and super nice staff! Easy hook up and the laundry worked too.
Probably the best RV park in the area based on what I’ve seen. Staff is super friendly and knowledgeable about the area. Nice views, large level spaces, access to a coastal trail, easy access off 101, nice laundry with 3 washers/dryers. Wish the sites and park road were paved because they get pretty messy and show several potholes when it rains. Had a great time and would definitely choose to stay here again over the other parks in Crescent City which had a bunch of run down full time RVs.
Well maintained park next to beach perfect for little ones: dogs and kids. Wifi has worked very well and proximity to area attractions is great. One star lost to no tree cover but the sea breeze almost makes up for that.
We will definitely be back… Easy access right off 101. Very reasonable price. Huge pull threw sites with yard and concrete slab at the front door. Full hookups at cute little lighthouses in every spot. Clean bathrooms and Landry room with coded entry. Excellent WiFi and of course Great views!!!! Staff was very friendly and helpful. We did not have reservations and needed to get off the road and out of the storm for a couple days. Ed at the front desk was so polite and put us in a nice safe spot to wait it out. Thank you Ed!!!!
We’ve been to Crescent City dozens of times but this was our first time staying here, and won’t be our last! We made it just in time to enjoy a gorgeous sunset and settle into our spot. The customer service here is outstanding! Our usual places had signs on the doors that read, “closed for the weekends. Showers closed.” and would not return calls. Ed here at Lighthouse Cove returned our call right away and was a saving grace. Hot showersopen and available! The roads aren’t paved but that doesn’t bother us. Give it a try! Within walking distance to the brew house and other restaurants.
Very clean, safe environment. No homeless or drugies so its safe for the kids. Pet friendly and comes with WiFi, a few cable channels showers/bathrooms and laundry room. Highly recommend staying here plus the beach background is beautiful to wake up to.
This place has gone down hill. Stinks . Bathrooms thilthy need updating painting chipped everywhere. Workers dnt do alot they live like pigs. Especially when u inter the park theres loads a trashy looking things around workers campers matress on ground table cookware food clutter junky all over Not neat around the campers. They charge too much for extra people cars animals Nickel n dime adds up . Pot hole roads bin like that for two years now.say theyll fix but yet to see. The wiifii cuts out isnt good at all. The upkeep is horrible. The employees (some) act like they dnt know what there doing. Not a fan no more . Use to be better n caring very dissapointing . The bumbs hang out . Rip off your bikes.
Been here many times in past, good views of ocean, grounds clean, no trees or shade, only a few picnic tables, cable is non existent, needs a lot of updating for price they charge ( apparently city owned), and of course the homeless are everywhere. With a few changes could be much improved RV park.
First, the basics: the campground is a collection of back-in and pull-through sites with full hookups and decent site spacing. The interior roads and site pads are hard dirt with embedded gravel, and each site has a small square concrete patio and a grass lawn. Some of the back-in sites on the perimeter are under or near trees that provided a little shade. Next to the small office is a building containing bathrooms and showers as well as a laundry room (all secured by coded locks). There are two dumpster areas on opposite sides of the park along with dog waste stations and decorative statues. There were plenty of places to walk our dogs, especially near the front of the campground.What makes the campground special is its location. It is right on the shore of Crescent Harbor, with a view of the Pacific Ocean to the south. A walking path between sites 12 and 13 goes over the earthen berm and leads right out onto the sandy beach, where dogs are allowed to be off-leash. At low tide you can walk quite a way out into the harbor (although the sand out there is more like mud and you’ll want proper footwear or no footwear at all). The northwest side of the campground ends at an embankment next to Elk Creek, which would widen and narrow with the tide and was frequented by waterfowl. We stayed in site 37 (considered by some of the campground staff to be one of the best sites), which gave us a view of the creek out our back window and harbor views from our living area windows.At the front of the campground is a paved bike trail that leads to the marina area on one end and to the public pier and lighthouse on the other end, making it easy to explore the waterfront area without a car. I took one early morning walk to the lighthouse and saw crabs and starfish in the tidal pools; another morning I walked to the other side of the marina and saw the sea lions and seals napping on the floating docks.In terms of cell service, the best speed I got on my Verizon Jetpack with MIMO antenna the Sunday we arrived was (according to the speed test sites) about 20Mbps down and 1Mbps up. But I had no trouble working and we were able to stream video with almost no buffering. The best speed I got on my AT&T smartphone was 49Mbps down and 28 up.Two things that could be considered negatives. There is a horn in the harbor which sounds like a fog horn that goes off every 7-8 seconds and lasts for about 2 seconds. Sometimes it’s very noticeable, sometimes you can barely hear it: I guess either the horn volume or the acoustics of the harbor change. Even when it was noticeable in the RV, we were able to tune it out and it didn’t disrupt our sleep. The other thing is that there are a few homeless people who reside in that area of the city, particularly around the public park on the other side of Elk Creek. None of them ever ventured into the campground though.We would stay here again if we were in the area.
Luckily got a last minute reservation at a prime spot on the beach. Love the layout of this RV park...each spot has more than ample space...your neighbor is NOT right on top of you! This has become our go to RV camp spot in Northern California! Ed was so friendly and helpful! Id give this place a 10 out of 10 if it were possible.
This place is a great view and clean!!! Everything!!! the laundry room and bathrooms were very clean!! We are traveling to Washington state and hit King Tide and a bad wind storm!! ED, the most WONDERFUL camp host man, was so helpful... the winds were picking up quick.. and no other rv parks were open and now I’m so thankful because this is by far the best one in this town!! 75 mph gusts and pulling a trailer was not an option especially up the 101!! We have pets they were very welcome!! Even allowed on the beach!! Great WiFi connection, cozy, safe and he recommended a great seafood restaurant that we will be dining at tonight!!! Once again THANK YOU ED!!! You’re a real life saver and this is by far the best place to stay in Crescent City California!!!
The park is owned by the city which makes it very professionally run. The employees really are spectacular. The employees hand delivered my mail to me and Ed even called me to make sure that my needs were being met. There is not a single piece of trash in the park which has a small estuary on one side and the ocean on another. The park is very close to fast food and shopping as well as local businesses.While the bathrooms are spotless they could use some modernizing. The laundry room has three washers and dryers and is $1.50 for wash and $1.00 for dry. Quarters are available at the office which is manned 7 days a week.The longest allowable stay is 30 days due to city ordinance. The park is peaceful and quiet with the exception of the locals driving by (about 1/4 mile away) thumping their music at night. The fog horn at the edge of the bay (about 3/4 mile away) is continuous. If minor noises do not annoy you then you will find this park heavenly.I spent 30 days and am considering going back when I am done in Oregon.If you like coastal viewing there are a great amount of spectacular views a very short drive away. Spend a day driving North. There is a Casino 5 minutes away and several up the coast heading North 15 minutes away. The community pool is a 5 minute walk away.At times the wind is CRAZY but I like the wind! Pets are welcome.I really enjoy being able to be on the beach within 1 minute and the peaceful atmosphere. There are plenty of birds to watch and the Seals barking way off in the distance are a great reminder of how close to nature you are.
Crescent City California is wonderful and the best place to stay is at lighthouse cove rv Park. The staff is friendly and helpful. The park is super clean and close to everything. Backed right up to the cove you can fall asleep to the sound of the ocean. Fishing and crabbing is free on the pier. Priced affordable, you really cant find a better place to stay on the cost with your trailer. Enjoy
Views of the water from waterfront spots were great.Full hook ups.Host was very nice.Spots not very level.Cell service was great. (AT&T)Nice harbor views and beach to walk on.The laundry room had 2/3 washers n dryers working.The sound of the fog horn made sleeping unbearable, though the sound of the sea lions yapping at night was hilarious and oddly soothing. I had to put on my Bose noise canceling headphones with a white noise app.Unfortunate because it’s a great location to visit the redwoods.
We stayed for 17 days and met a lot of nice people at the park, and it was quiet at night and the park was well managed by Victor, Ed, and Cathy. The people in a business make the difference when it comes to good customer service, it’s a lot harder to find now a days, next year will be back for our Third year. They have a real good monthly rate !!!
2 stars for location and full hookups. We had very loud neighbors partying well into quiet hours and starting up again first thing in the morning, if you arent near bad neighbors or drunken partying all day is your thing then maybe youll enjoy it more than we did. We left a day early and found a Harvest Host to stay at.
This is a city run campground. The park views of the water are fantastic. I give them a 5 for the view. The park utilities all worked great. The roads are horrible. That the only reason for a 4 star. The roads a full of dips and pot holes. They are dirt roads. Almost all of our dishes came out in our motor home driving the roads. Otherwise this place is 5 stars. We are at the Chart Room. Well worth a visit. Little bit is a wait but great food.
From the moment we arrived I knew I wanted to stay longer! Close to the beach and staff that really cares about your stay! There are many places to visit and good restaurants as well as welcoming residents. Thank you Hector & Kathy for your recommendations!
This park is a gem and the employees are wonderful. Located right on the ocean, this 70+ site campground offers a well- managed park, full hookups, clean laundry ($1.50 wash $1 dry), great views and location. We stayed 4 days on 3 different sites and all were level, gravel and had cement patios. Quick walk to the beach. I cant say enough about the staff - knowledgeable about the area and friendly. We camped at Lighthouse Cove RV Park in a Motorhome.
A great rv park. Clean and quiet. Kathy and Ed are just 2 of the very kind and helpful ahosts. The bathrooms are cleaned 4 times per day and the grounds are litter free. The guests are screened well to keep the riff raff out. A very enjoyable place to stay.
Stayed at Shoreline in June 2019. Interesting location, right in the harbor. Great beach to stroll and let the dogs play. Staff was very friendly, and helpful. The park was very clean. The bathrooms and showers were cleaner than most campgrounds we have stayed at! Hot roomy showers!! Laundry facility was a plus too. Full hookups at a tent space price.Only drawback is lack of privacy, there is nothing between the sites, but considering it is basically a beach, this is understandable.Even so, we were very happy with our stay, highly recommend Shoreline for a week or just overnight.
Most expensive and not very friendly staff overall, except Ed, he is cool. This place has amazing views and clean bathrooms but after staying here for 4 nights and really enjoying our stay they would not let us back in. Saying we were unfriendly to the staff, which is not true. It was the camp hosts being rude to us and after offering them more business they refused us for no good reason except that we were late checking out one day. Claiming that we are not a fit while during our stay we quietly kept to ourselves, paid every day, did not leave any mess and cleaned up trash off the beach. Me and my partner being new camper owners, only just buying it and this being the first place we stay, not a pleasant way to be treated. We are nice people and didnt do anything to be treated that way. I hope that they will hire new camp hosts because this place is a nice place to stay they just need friendlier staff. Now I will take my business elsewhere to stay the rest of the week.
We are just concluding a one-month stay and we have had a wonderful time! The location could not be better. Right by the beach and easy short drive to the Redwoods. The staff has been very friendly. Ed is always helpful. The only negatives are bumpy roads through the park and aging (but clean) bathrooms.
A great place to stay right in the city, walking distance to groceries and restaurants if you plan on staying for awhile. The view is indescribable. Lock up your valuable tho, particularly bicycles. The staff is very diligent about keeping out homeless. The restrooms were recently renovated so they are nice to use. Supposed to be maximum 6 month Max which is perfect for escaping the searing desert heat of the summer. The foghorn and seals are part of the charm for this gem.

The Best all-around RV Park on the Northern California Coast! Whether Back-in, or Pull-thru, each ample-sized space has an unique view; sandy shores, elk river estuary;lighthouse-across-the-cove; coastal clouds & gorgeous sunsets.Full Hookups here, means exactly that; electric, water, sewer, cable, wifi, are all included, in their posted rates; along with free (doesnt require feeding them quarters), roomy showers; that might not be state of the art, but by far, are the cleanest of any RV Park Ive experienced in over 25,000 miles of Full-Time RVing--& the 2nd most economical laundry facilities, with machines that really do get loads clean! A code is required to access showers &/or laundry room, but they are available for use 24-7, anytime you (as), a registered guest wishes to do his/her/your, whichever, type of wash(ing)! Which I find extremely convenient! Very pet friendly, free doggie--potty-bag dispensers are located by the dumpsters on each side of the park. This is a pleasant place to visit. The staff are professional and courteous. The grounds are clean and well keep. The showers are VERY hot. The views are breathtaking. Overall environment says, welcome, relax and have fun. Its wonderful community filled with warm and friendly people.
Easy in and out stay, little more trees would gave been nice. But the water hook up was good, and the sites were clean.
We make a few trips a year to Lighthouse Cove, we still call it Shoreline. The name is not the only thing that has change, so has the management. They are doing a great job !!!! We could see Ed out and about making sure people here belonged here. We didnt see any homeless people near the campground. The last 3 years our group has had bikes, ice chest ect... stolen from our camp, NOT this year Ed makes sure of that !!!! Our group would like to thank Ed and crew for really turning around one of our favorite campgrounds !!!! The only reason for a 4 star, the road is full of deep potholes. We were on a road trip heading home. We wanted to use the restroom near the parking lot. They were locked and the employee didnt have the keys.
This place us a real gem it sits right on the beach with a gorgeous bike trail leading to the lighthouse. Kari was one of the nicest host we met after finding out the site we were assigned was not so wheelchair friendly she quickly gave up her site to make sure we enjoyed our stay. This will surely be a yearly trip for us everything about creasent city was beautiful. Thank you shoreline we made great memories there.
Nice and open. There are spaces that line the beach so it feels like you have private access to the ocean. There aren’t fire pits (yet) but the owners said paved roads and other upgrades are on the way. 10/10 will definitely return again. 2021 visit, covid safe and respectful, the management was also super helpful with local attractions and suggestions.
Fantastic customer service. I very seldom stay at an RV park. I was 400 miles away and 100 degree heat was coming. These folks got me in and out of the coming hot weather where I was. I ended up staying for a month and plan to stay longer as I love Crescent City weather! Employee Ed was especially helpful. Highly recommended.
No fog...so no fog horns. Large RV sites, bathrooms are adequate. Manager was very helpful with some minor problems. Overall a reasonable park with beach access.There is a working lighthouse for a working harbor so it is possible that you may hear age old safety devices in action!
The campground is wide open with no trees but you have a nice view of the water from most of the sites. The camp host was very friendly and helpful and gave us a tip on where to see the redwoods nearby. We found them easily and minutes away.
We stayed one night. Last spring we did a drive through in our car, and what we saw now is as different as night and day. I hope they can keep it free of transient Tennants. I love being so close to the beach. Heard sea lions. I wish they were closer. Go slow going in untill pot holes are filled in. We did fine in a 39ft motorhome towing car.
The grounds are nothing special a little grass and gravel with a cement patio, but everything worked well, power, water, cable, even wifi. The views are great and in our spot only about 30 ft from the bay. You can hear the sea lions. The spots are also spacious.
Wish I could rate the Park higher, and I would, except for one glaring problem: CRIME. There are a lot of homeless people spread around the outskirts of this facility. Nearly every night they come into the Park and steal things; basically anything not heavily secured is fair game: generators, propane tanks, bicycles (especially bicycles), ice chests, etc. They need to do something about this or they’re going to lose a lot business. Folks often first experience California in Crescent City. This isn’t a good first impression. The city really needs to work on this immediately.
Super nice lady stayed late and even put me next to her camp host site! They even give you dish channels. Very clean bathrooms shower facility. A plus
I came in late in day they where so kind. So helpful in relieving all my worries with an ocean view easy accessed. No spider webs in plug in it was the highlight looking up and the lighthouse was right there. A must go I would say. Worth it. Wish my camera on phone was better.
I absolutely love this place. The location is so perfectly located with the beautiful harbor and ocean view right in front of you,an extrordinary view of the light house on the right side. Even right next to a very nice bike or walking path to either walk or ride out on one of two piers or if the tide is low you are within walking distance of the lighthouse. I love everything about this place. Its VERY well kept, Bathrooms are impressive with showers and privacy.
This was by the worst service Ive ever experienced. The woman in the front has no idea what customer service or just common decency is. The man that checked us in was fantastic. The man at the front warned us about her the first day we got there but we didnt realize it would be that bad. She ended up calling the cops on us for being loud I was trying to pack up my rv and my partner and I had some serious personal problems go on and we tried to leave as soon as possible. Worst experience Ive ever had. Should work on getting better employees.
Beautiful location, however, no permanent or semi-permanent spaces available. Also no showers available to the paying public unless your RV is camped there.
We love to stay at Shoreline RV campground. They are always so nice. The park is great and right on the protected part of the ocean. We always pick our campsite where we are facing the water. You call to reserve. They do not have a website where you can reserve. Everything is pretty close.
The location was the best part. We had a spot right up against the bay so had a great view out the front of our RV. The sea lions were very loud and a foghorn that went off every 8 seconds which made earplugs necessary while sleeping. Also, they did not have any public restrooms or showers which we found odd. And the laundry closed at 6pm every night. The couple were very nice that ran the place however. We experienced a lot of rain while we were there and the park retains a lot of water. We came home to find our welcome mat and step and picnic bench floating in water. Overall, the park needs a little TLC but could be a gold mine due to its great location.
Situated right next to the beach and excellent seafood at the pier area. We experienced sea fog almost every morning but it would burn fairly quickly. Close to the Jedidiah Smith State and National Park A must see. Hike and see The Boyscout Tree.
A good base to see the the coast north or south of Crescent City and visit Jedediah Smith SP. good level sites and right on the harbour. There is a coastal cycle way at the entrance. Good laundry and cheap. Good amenities and very good wifi.A very friendly and helpful host/ owner. Highly recommend.
We had the opportunity to spend the week of the 4th of July, 2021 at Shoreline RV Campground. It was totally amazing, beautiful views of the bay, very very friendly staff, easy check in, and an over all wonderful experience. This RV site is designed to handle large Class As as well as smaller RVs. Everyone we met in the park as well as in the downtown area were equally warm and friendly. It was just one of the best 4th of Julys we have experienced in a long long time. We will definitely go back next year.
Loved this place. Very accommodating to my needs...great price.. relatively quiet, you get the pleasant sound of the lighthouse horn every 5 seconds. After the first few hours it just blended into the sound of the waves. Will definitely stay here again.
I have lived in my 5th wheel since February 15th of this yr, and have parked here since then, and absolutely love it here. The staff is exceptional. I highly recommend anyone who is traveling to stay here. You wont regret it...
Not busy here! Had a good spot-I love the sound of the foghorn and seals!! Staff was nice and helpful! Decent price $45 + tax. Full hook ups. The premium sites are a little more. Will be back again!!
We are currently living here, but so far..i love it.Everything in walking distance.Showers and bathrooms are very clean, camp host is very nice.Beach right outside, park for kids is in walking distance too.If u staying for a few days or just a night, i recommend this place.Update: Well we been living here since November, me and my husband usually take showers together, so he can help with the kids and help me out since i am pregnant.We took a shower together with the kids, ages 4 and 2.Well the host lady came in screaming at us cause we were all taking a shower, mind u there is nobody else in the shower room just us.She even threw somebody elses dirty underwear at me..I guess if u need help taking a shower or have young children ur husband cant help u.Better if u shower else where or own camper/ trailer.
No tree shade in parking. On the beach in a protected harbor. kid and dog friendly. Clean, great hookups like 50 amps and high pressure water, sewer. Great views. Clean laundry room, showers and toilets. Friendly staff. Cons: norCal is a skeevy hive of wretched villainy. You will be reminded a thousand times to not leave valuables in plain sight. Lock your doors, padlock down your generators, your surge protectors bikes etc. But that isnt the fault of the camp. Do stay here!
The park itself is not much to look at. It would be much nicer if the grass was green, but the sites are spaced out well and the price is reasonable. Also, the location is great for exploring the different areas of Redwoods National Park.
Update! So after we were informed to move at the end of this month because we dont have a vehicle to tow our trailer, we asked about 2 other sites that also have no vehicle to tow their trailers. The gentleman next to us has been here 5 months already & now because we werent born yesterday they are telling him to leave. Discrimination much? I say yes! They are very discriminating & will be hearing from both my lawyer & the better business bureau. DO NOT STAY HERE!This place is getting a 1 star from my me simply because Sandy will over talk you. She will not let you speak. We moved up here from Sacramento to escape the fires. We had a friend help move us up here & now 4 days after being here they want us to move because we dont have a vehicle to tow our trailer. We are in the midst of buying a vehicle to tow our trailer, as there are also 2 other campers Ive seen with vehicles not able to tow theirs & theyve not been asked to leave. Sandy is very rude & would not let me talk as the customer speaks 1st. You do NOT over talk them! This town has a very hard time with the LGBTQ+ community so if you are dont come here especially. Shoreline sucks!
If you read all the reviews, you will see many mentions of the host. They hate each other and their jobs and they are not afraid to tell you. Our infraction was leaving to go see the redwoods before stopping at the office to pay for another night. As soon as we realized our mistake we called but they made us move and they put us in a spot in the park where we got the full effect of both foghorns even though there were approximately 15 open sites. We asked twice if we could move into another site and they would not allow it. As far as the other guests we found everyone to be friendly and courteous and helpful. The shower houses and bathrooms were dirty, most of the bathrooms were out of order. The campsites are nice and large and that part of the park is clean but there are no fire Rings or picnic tables. It is a convenient location on the coast and on the water and we enjoyed the location for bike riding, beach, and the Redwoods.

Very nice experience staying here for a week, no issues at all. The pull through spots were very spacious. Great access to the water, and town. Wish the Ambiance was a little bit nicer, but thats minor. also very close to the Redwoods, a great place to stay if youre visiting that area.
Ive never lived here but I known people to have lived here and they got nothing but good things to say about there stays. I can say one thing for sure is that the place is tidy and man is there one helluva view. Absolutely beautiful.... I mean California Coastline is hard to come by and certainly aint cheap... Here ya got an affordable patch of ocean viewing.
Hard to get into coming from the South, grounds very dry and bures in the dirt, homeless in and out of the park great view from our space #91 did not use any of the bathrooms or laundry due to Covid 19Water pressure in camp is outrageous pressure make sure you use a regulator.Lock up your items. Very close to the harbor that was nice.We stayed 6 nights in August 2020. Traveled in a 36ft 5th wheel
Listen ! Dont pay attention to the Old reviews that are years old, this is not that place Great place to camp, and Great people, Holly is an amazing host when youre checking in. Telling us about the best places to visit, shes so happy to see us and she doesnt even know us yet. Ed is a great guy to help you get around the park, he has a great attitude about things. You can tell their both enjoying their work. The park is clean and easy to navigate around to your site. The ocean is right in your backyard with plenty to do. So enjoy yourself. 😉
Parks nice, ocean breeze off season is freezing cold. Horn for lighthouse can be heard every 8 seconds. But if your looking for beach rv recommend. Nicer than the other beach ones in crescent city.
Fantastic place to stay. As we registered, we received maps and information for local attractions. The park has easy access to bike paths. We will definitely come again.
Went to dump my tanks and obtain fresh water. I thought $16.00 a bit high ($10.00 for dump and $6.00 for water) as I have a very small (20 ft.) rig with small tanks. However I was thankful I found a place. The man and lady behind the counter were very courteous and nice. The RV park was an older one, but looked well maintained. When asked the price of an overnight, I was quoted $37.00. A laundry facility was spotted.
Im guessing that whatever issues theyve had here in the past has been ironed out. Compared to other RV camps, this place is centrally located to everything that Crescent City has to offer...screaming fast 4G (Verizon), walking distance to local brewery, grocery store and fast food; you want to avoid the local so called Japanese food. Its a nightmare in terms of food quality.The star of this campground has to be David. Very responsible and goes out of his way to help accommodate your travel needs. Whatever hes being paid, I hope he gets a good bump in his salary.Crescent City is definitely a drive through town, but if youre looking for a place to stay with good access, you should definitely checkout this place.
Great campground hosts! Very friendly and helpful. Laundry service was very reasonably priced. Grocery close by, easy walk to the beach, lighthouse, and playground. Wish we had time to stay more than one night!
Pull thru and back in sites. Gravel and fairly level. Lots of potholes in the campground roads but not bad if you go slow. Great view of the water. Full hookup. WiFi is pretty good. Randy checked us in and he was very friendly and informative. Do plan to stay here again later this summer.
This was a great place to put the RV for 4 days! The hosts were very helpful. Theres a beach just right over the embankment. There are other RV parks in the area that we saw most that we saw did not have as much space for an outdoor experience at the camp.
Stayed here while on a bike tour up the 101. Good location for camping. Friendly staff. The manager rove by and dropped off some free firewood for us. Hot showers and also a laundry room. Not five star but definitely decent for us. Was able to charge stuff off an RV site AC outlet while camping on the North end of this site. Good food within walking distance(dinner and breakfast).
Had an Amazing time with my Wife & son Blue, our dog. Lighthouse R.V. was Wonderful as it is located on the Beach. Excellent Service, Very Clean facilities & Wonderful Staff!!
We stayed during fourth of July a couple years ago, it was amazing and we’ve been tying to get back there ever since. Bucket list item, nuthin fancy just breathtaking views of the beach, ocean and lighthouse.

We went there to use their dump station, but our new RV was apparently clogged. The gentleman who ran it was very nice and tried to help us. He suggested that we put a bag of ice in the toilet and let it slosh around while driving on some bumpy and/or twisty turney roads and a couple hours later we went to a rest area in Oregon and it seemed to have cleared the clog. We owe the gentleman who ran it a big thank you for helping us with that.
Both managers told me two different prices for a month stay. One of the managers came in the showers and watched my boyfriend shower and yelled out unnecessary things. Did not give us a refund at all, the city owns the property, not them. And the female manager drinks alcohol on duty. Poor place to live. I do not recommend!!!
We initially reserved for 4 days but decided to stay 7. Friendly mgr, Quiet, large spaces between, lots of campers who come here for years, with friends spouses or kids and grandkids. Lots fish and crab nearby. But we were not bothered by anyone and enjoyed being close to water, central to everything, and the Grove redwoods. Full hookups, level lots, gravel, grass in-between. You can hear a small fog horn in far distance but didnt bother us at all. Wed come back to go crabbing!
Ed is great. Clean spots, easy access, beautiful views. Worth the price. Ride your bike to all of crescent city. Ed is a really warm and friendly host.

Could see the bay and light house from our windshield. Quick access to beach. Park was clean and staff was friendly. Location was bear every thing we needed or wanted to see. Great rates. Only thing we missed was a picnic table. Would stay there again!
Had reservations, was assigned site 15 then 30. When we arrived after a 5 hour drive, someone was in our site. Was told we wouldn’t be charged for the first night....we were charged. They put us in a motor home site, we have a 5th wheel, so we had to run all our stuff under the RV which looked ridiculous! Our friends were coming to camp with us in their RV and was assigned site 25... guess what? Someone is in site 25. I don’t know if they are doing reservations by memory or what, but they sure do run this place like they learned how off The back of a Cracker Jack box! I like the area, just don’t think I’ll stay here again.
Great views of the bay, nice and clean.The parking is more like a parking lot but big spaces we really didnt mind as we spent a lot of time at the water with our dogs we had a great time it was beautiful. stayed for a couple of days
Doesnt look like much at first, but large spaces, full hookups and wifi also many beach front, make this a nice place to stay. Quiet, peaceful place with NO noise other that a distant fog horn. Will come back. Pictures out the windshield of our motorhome.
Great views and hearing the ocean are always good in my book. Would be five stars but the foghorn blows 24hrs a day and it is just close enough to be anoying. The staff was very friendly.
I give it a four even though it should be a 5. There is so many stickers and no green grass. The stickers get all in your clothes and get in your socks they get in your dogs feet and it gets in your trailer. All around it is a very good place wide open areas
I never write a review but this place deserves one. I had made reservations 3 weeks prior to our arrival and confirmed one week before we left. When we arrived I was met by the rudest man Ive ever met, Charlie. As soon as he looked at me I knew he hated people. I was told that they were all full. I told him I had a reservation and he said were full and get out of his office. We drove 6 hours to get here to be told nothing is available and to leave. I asked what was the point of making a reservation and he said get out or Ill call the police. Luckily we found a spot down the road and knew it was a blessing in disguise!! These people know nothing about running a business nor dealing with the public.. Charlie, do everyone a favor and go home and die!!!!!!!!!!!! July 14, 2016
This place is right on the water and it isnt a bad place, but please bring your bicycles, and valuables inside at night. The people at the office said to make sure and lock our bikes because they were having issues with bikes getting stolen, So we doubled locked them and took the seat & seatpost off, and they still manage to take them.You would think that since it is something that keeps on happening, and since the park is a city or city ran property that they would try to patrol more often, but nope. I must mention that we have seen the police roll by twice, but during the daylight not when they are actually needed!!I would hate for someone else to have to go through the same thing we have gone through, so either stay in a safer campground or bring your bikes inside.We have traveled all over the U.S. and had no problems, until we arrive at Crescent City, California (Shoreline Rv Campground). Such a shame, keep safe!!

We only stayed one day unfortunately. You could easily stay for a week to see and do all of the neat attractions in Crescent City within walking distance of the campground next to the bay Beach.
I would highly recommend Lighthouse Cove RV. Customer Service was on point.Location is super close to town.Beach 🏖 time was great with our morning coffee.Will definitely return soon!
Weve stayed here every summer for about 4 years. Its underwent a major management change this year. And they have replaced all the old wakes l washers and dryersReally nice
Yelling at senior citizens from a red truck, honking at them, telling them to get out because it is noon is atrocious and unprofessional behavior. The park is not kept up and frankly is unprofessional and abusive behavior.People in the RV park are not necessarily looking at their watch. If you need to hurry up and tell someone to get out why don’t you use please and thank you and step out of your vehicle instead of honking and yelling.
It used to be so much nicer. But it has really went down hill. Load fighting a t night coming from the managers trailer as well as tweakers. Large homeless population travels thru daily. As well as highest priced campground in the area. Park grounds lack grooming and junky trailers with old tatered tarts imply permanent residences. Id look else where before trying this again
Love it here very clean just need to do something about there dumpsters. We were parked by them homeless in them every night lots of people come in and dump garbage that dont stay there. Office people are great and very clean laundry rooms.
Its clean, the lots are generously spaced and theyre good at spreading out their patrons during less then peak times. Nice location withing walking distance of the docks, ocean, park and supermarket.
Awesome RV park big spaces not crammed in like other parks updated electric 30 amd 50 amp full hook up the city took it over and has really improved everything Wi-Fi is awesome right on the ocean great camp host clean bathrooms and laundry. Pet friendly best place on the coast.
Google reviewers must be talking about some other RV park as this place cannot be over 4 stars. Hot showers, electricity and laundry are not bonuses, but are expected, especially when this place overcharges for a space. The bathroom showers were all out of order except for one. Managers were also mean and disgruntled. Im glad Im no longer here.
I love them. Rae is very sweet. Right on the water. Better then and average as spot to camp. U can walk to the beach, to oxean world and for food. Ive been here at least 4 times.
Good electric hook ups 50 /30 amp and sewer which in caly is a luxury and WiFi was good as well. Surprised by all the cable service which I really appreciate. Not to there control I just missed the crab season. So sad 😭

This place is amazing not only are you on the beach but it are 20 minutes from the Redwoods. And Kathy the lady at the front was the most sweetest women ever.

Very clean and nice. Was recently emptied and cleaned up and redone. Beautiful view all the wat around. Bathrooms are closed for remodeling, but my coach is the only bathroom I use anyway.
I must tell everyone that this place is terrific, I have to say that because I dont lie, so with saying that Ive probably cursed myself, the staff was so kind, the place was so clean and you cant get a better view, Ocean, lighthouse, the bay, bike paths. Lighthouse cove is the only place for me in Cresent City Ca. Thanks for the great stay guys

We ve been comming to cresent city for 15 years and normally stay at harbor rv...but we tried shoreline wow so much nicer big rv spots no heavy traffic..and cost less..the managers we great to work with us,,, we asked four days, ended up staying 12 days was great . we will be back next year. Nice spaces. We have a 39ft.w/ two and still had space enough to leave tow attached and both our slider out. Great view of ocean!

Beachfront campground, inexpensive and convenient to shops, art gallery,, restaurants and a huge dog park. Quiet and friendly. Beautiful views of a lighthouse that you can walk to. We will be back forsure!

I called to reserve a site. The woman seemed pleasant BUT after I gave her my number so she could call me back, and asked her to repeat it back to me for clarification, she said You know? and hung up on me. With customer service like that I will not stay there.
It was the off season but nice place right on the water.
Loved the city people and million dollar views. Manager lady at park was extremely manic though and God forbid you ask about the internet. Cannot get service and cannot pay a provider for internet even if you are monthly.
This beach and RV park have a unique beauty. The people running the park are so welcoming. Definitely coming back!

This is as good as it gets in crescent City. There are some really good pull in spaces looking at the bay. Roads and spaces arent paved,a little messy when its rainy. Prices are reasonable.

Pacifica is a great place is right on a cliff above the ocean it starts at $100 a night and I think 15 or $20 per kid depends on the age and down the only thing is they only have internet in the laundry room you have to go in there and use your internet they dont have it throughout the park and then when the laundry room was locked up no more internet for the rest of the evening or till the next morning when it opens the only thing bad about it
Great prices with spacious lots- did not use facilities, but had no problems with their Wi-Fi or cable. Id definitely stay here again if I was in the area.
We enjoyed the views and the camp hosts were helpful. Too bad the homeless decided to camp across the lagoon and kept us awake.
This is the second time we have stayed here. The Wi-Fi is not working as good as the first time. Its a good park. As long as the wether is good, but even when it rains the drainage is good.
Lord where do I start... the park was okay at first oct 2016... then all the problems started😵 the bathrooms got shut down for a month and are currently still shut down the roads are horrible and through all this they decided to Up the rent👎 the caretakers have been pretty cool👍 however the park management is absolutely unbelievably rude😒 I spoke with him about the issues I was having with the internet the roads and the bathrooms he told me I was free to go someplace else if I didnt like it here....😞 needless to say that really pissed me off 😠 I spoke with the city manager because the park is owned by the city👲 he was as much help as a snow cone in the Arctic❄🍦 I was dismissed as a nuisance and send on my way💨😥 when I recommend this park to somebody? Given the other choices in town 🏢 I would have to say yes😒 but thats not exactly High praise..... if youre just coming for a quick visit itll be fine but if you intend on staying as we did for travel nursing contract🏥 I would suggest staying in Brookings and driving down for work.... it is inconvenient however because it is a half an hour away🚙
The staff is wonderful, all rv spots have ocean views and plenty of outdoor space, could use an upgrade on aminities and wi fi.Many local stores, food, and harbor access within walking.

Its a City Park and needs a little TLC but we stay there everytime we go through Cresent City because we love the views of the Harbor and we like eating at the Chart Room.

We stopped by this park today just curious about the rates the woman who was working the office was so rude we were talking and a car pulled up and she just walked away. I had heard rumors of druggies in this park so now I know not interested in doing her job at all must have been waiting for her drop off... Beware

Really nice and clean camp ground, would come here again, the only thing missing is Charlie and Rea they were like part of the family when you stayed here, they will be greatly missed
Great experience and location was right on the beach with a bike or walk trail great location to many other activities, local swimming pool, beach, lighthouse and local seafood market to buy fresh seafood. Would revisit for sure!

The people are great. The restroom are nice and clean. The view is the best, right on the ocean.
Wonderful staff and views of crescent harbor, lighthouse and long, flat beach walks make this a hidden gem. Miss this one and you should turn around.

Right on the beach. Nice open and wide campsites. Bathrooms were closed for repairs when we were there so cant speak to that.

2023-11-18 20:54:46Our expectations were a little too high for a park right on the beach. The staff were very friendly and super helpful, but the main issue is the homeless population. Adjacent to the park there are several homeless camps in the trees and our neighbors had their bikes stolen twice. Even after locking them up per the local police directions the lock was still cut and bikes taken. Its hard to fault the park for this problem as the staff is very understanding of the homeless issue, but its hard not to let it affect the rating.Outside of this issue the location is nice for watching sunsets and traveling to the Redwoods. One other caution at the park is to know there is a fog horn that sounds about every 10-20 seconds and never cuts off. This took several days to get used to and we never really got a great nights sleep.

2023-07-26 02:26:14Great location, located on the beach and confluence of Elk Creek estuary. Best location in town. Management was professional and courteous, and the camp is well maintained. Plenty to do and see within walking distance. We walked to the lighthouse each day, saw a family of river otters in Elk Creek, and enjoyed great sunsets from the campground beach. Highly recommend!

2023-10-15 15:26:53Our campsite was right on the beach, the campground was clean, trash cans were close, and dogs were allowed on leashes. if you took your dogs to the beach, they could be on a leash. There’s a walking path very close to the campground. There was Wi-Fi available, but our cell service was so good we never used it, I was able to stream YouTube TV and watch football games all day on Sunday without interruption. There were laundry services available, but we never used them. You are right on the ocean so at times it is windy, and there is nothing to offer a break. The location is about five minutes from Safeway, restaurants, or services. You were about 45 minutes, with traffic due to construction away from outdoor activities. The road construction on the way up was the only downside to our trip. My wife and I believe that if we don’t hit road construction, we will not have a good vacation when we are RV.

2023-09-17 00:44:13For this review, rooms are RV spots. This is a yearly trip for us for the last 3 years. Great views. If you have a hard time sleeping, beware the fog horn and the sea lions. We use a sound machine for the kids, but the sea lions and waves are peaceful to us.

2023-08-27 03:15:02This was a breath of fresh air after having dealt with many parks that were iffy about even letting me stay. I am a traveling student at Cal Poly Humboldt and just bought a travel trailer that is completely towable. I was able to book online, so far I have stayed two weeks and have enjoyed every bit of it. The showers and laundry are amazing and there are many amenities to take advantage of in walking distance. Thank you for providing me with my leg up in this journey!

2023-06-26 19:56:50Stayed here in site 91 and had so much fun. The location is perfect. Steps away from a private beach. The beach is off-leash pet friendly.The RV sites are very large and you do not feel like you are on-top of your neighbors.One of the best parts, other then the beach is that you are within walking/biking distance from so many places to eat and explore.They did not have fire rings when we were there like I had seen when booking, which was a bummer but we ended up going to South beach by the harbor and having a beach bon-fire so that ended up being better anyway.Would come again and would recommend.

2023-07-11 05:20:16Great central location to see the area. We booked a few nights in a waterfront site and enjoyed the view of the lighthouse, water and pelican watching. You can walk and bike the area paths, which is really nice. It is also a very dog friendly place, which we liked and you can enjoy the beach off leash as well. A very relaxing place to be after a day of exploring. The staff was helpful and friendly and lots of friendly folk enjoying the holidays.The road around the park is very dusty and could use some maintenance. Not great to drive or walk on and really gets into your RV. We didn’t trust leaving out our starlink, bikes or chairs out unless secured. I caught a sketchy looking person at night fall walking up from the beach and checking out everyone’s stuff.That said - Would we stay again - yes !

Our site was very close to the harbor and it did have a beach, but it also had a fog horn that sounded every 10 seconds. At first it was charming, but at 2am it lost its charm. Had to turn on the a/c to cover the sound.

2023-07-19 17:46:54We had $5,000 in bikes stoles from our campsite during the night. Bikes were fully secured with cable locks to the bike rack, though they were still able to snag them.While we were there we talked to other campers who hand things from bikes to portable heaters stolen, in all I believe it was about 7 bikes within 5 days. We filed a police report and they expressed its a very common occurrence, and not much they could do.We also had a transient in the park throwing things at people and cars she and her partner had set up an encampment just outside of the park and the cops moved her along after a full day of her terrorizing the camp.We will not be returning and encourage anyone to keep driving.

2023-07-16 23:36:28Rest rooms are not handicap accessible. No hand bars. Showers could use a hook by shower for towels so people don’t drag water so far to door.
