Love this place! My daughter brought me here 5+ years ago when she attended UCSB. 3 tacos with generous portions of meat or veggies. And a fabulous salsa bar!! Service is quick, and prices are reasonable! I will stop, again, on my way back to NorCal.

We tried all the grilled selections. Beef and pork are amazing. Chicken and tripes are good! Crispy tripe is much much better than the other choice of tripe. Red pepper sauce is spicy. Definitely will come again.

The meat had great flavor. The tortillas were not dry or hard. I had asada and cabeza. They were both amazing. I would just add more items to the menu. Thats also a veggie option for those that dont eat meat.

This place is ok. I got asada tacos, the meat was a little too big for me, I like the meat more diced, they had a nice salsa bar. The tacos come with just meat, so you have to add the toppings you like.

Wow. I thought I knew good tacos living in Orange County. But, I have to say this place has an absolutely delicious selection of more of the uncommon meats: maciza (steamed beef), cachete (beef cheek), lengua (beef tongue), and cabeza (beef head). The cachete is A MUST GET! Its the most tender, juiciest, and with just the right amount of fattiness beef cheek Ive had. Quick, fast, and friendly service with a nice indoor ambience. Highly recommend, you wont be disappointed.

The meat is well prepared, and you get a very healthy serving of it. The tacos are incredible, and require very little dressing up to be tasty; I go with lime and radish. Friendly and helpful staff. Healthy choice of Mexican sodas and drinks. Your trip to SB is not complete without stopping by any of Lillys locations. If you stop by on a weekend, grab a fried Tripa taco ;)

These tacos are on point! We hadnt planned on having dinner here, but a friend had recommended it, so we thought we would try a taco before going to dinner. Lilys has been popular in Santa Barbara despite extremely average food. Cheap beef for the Asada, bland chicken fajitas. Cachete and tripas are fine,but if all you serve is tacos, then they should be exceptional. House made tortillas should be standard at any Mexican restaurant. Only 3 salsas. No horchata, soda cans from a 12 pack... nothing going on in the interior space. Even the laundromat plays some music. And the trash cans are outside.

This is the real deal folks. Coming from San Diego, I didnt expect to find TJ-style street tacos this far north, but Lilys is doing it right. At $3/taco its a little more than Id like to spend, but it was completely worth it. Next time Id probably skip the fajitas de pollo and stick to the asada and adobada. Expansive salsa bar (I stuck to the cilantro, onions, and hot red salsa), quick service, plenty of seating with clean tables.

Edit: I tried the new steamed beef and that was working for a couple of months, but even that has turned into some sort of weird mushy kind of strange meat texture that made me physically wretch and it is not quite like genuine shredded beef cuts. Unfortunately, Lilys is off the table for me in 2023. I know the economy is hard on people right now, but their high quality meat for a low price used to be the main draw. Hope they find their groove again.Edit: I think they must have changed meat providers, cuts, or chefs because the last several times weve been the meat has been gamey and chewy. A little too close to authentic for me.Original: I always get the Asado and rarely is the meat chewy or weird. They need to add a menu sign closer to the door or outside, though, and adjust their pickup table. This situation is not promoting social distancing. When I went last night I found myself literally surrounded by a couple of college kids who clearly couldnt read the warning on the back of my sweater to socially distance. Like right next to me and right behind me close, because they wanted to see the menu and couldnt wait their turn. It was so annerving that I got out of line to protect mysel from those irresponsible kids.

We came in here 4 days in a row on our trip to Santa Barbara., we were that obsessed.The meats were all seasoned perfectly and the food came out so quickly. There were plenty of options especially for our GF diner (even had a vegetarian taco).The salsa bar is wonderful and fully stocked so we could dress up our meals just the perfect way we saw fit. The dark red salsa is FIREEE.... literally so full of flavor but also v spicy, loved it!The staff was so great and we found our new fav taco spot in Goleta!

Street tacos is all the serve, its $2.50 per taco. Expect a line out the door, but it moves quickly, about 1 min per person. Your tacos will be ready about 1 minute after you order. They are very quick and very tasty. I recommend eating at the restaurant while your tacos are hot!

Love me some Lillys. Typically go for the lengua or asada. Appreciate the fact that they are affordable relative to the amount of meat they give you (it was about $2 per taco last I went), which is a real deal especially considering how sky-high some other establishments charge for a simple entree. Appreciate how they have a salsa bar with all the fixings (think radish, cilantro, diced onion, limes, salsas, etc.) and you can grab as many as you need. Plenty of seating inside. More of a casual spot for a quick lunch or dinner, nothing fancy but thats OK since the food is great. This is a 5 for me.

Good Tacos fast and quick. The salsa is nice and spicy. Ive heard the downtown one is better but when I tried both I didnt notice a difference in quality.They have non standard meats including cow eye, lip, tongue, and cheek.The one flaw is that they dont have chips.

Lillys in Goleta is great. The staff is always cordial and happy, they took my order quickly and prepared my hot, delicious and tasty tacos the way I like them. Found this place on Google while we were traveling. We showed up and there was a 30 person line out the door. The food was 100% worth the small wait. This place is street tacos only and they do them perfectly. Great meat, great tortillas and awesome salsas. We will be back next time were in town.

Flew to Santa Barbara from LA just for these tacos. Got pollo, adobo, and pork. The meat was tender and flavorful. Loved the Salsas, too. This place was great. They only serve tacos ($1.70 each) with gluten free corn tortillas. None of the fillings, sauces, or toppings have wheat. There just is no wheat in the place. Lilys keeps it simple, which lends to a consistently delicious and absurdly fast meal every time. They exclusively serve tacos, all of which are delicious. I especially appreciate their array of offal tacos (the meats that arent prime, i.e. lengua, cabeza, ojo) that makes meat consumption feel a lot more sustainable. 90% of American offal products are exported to foreign markets. This place is great because their tacos are only $2.00 each and for Santa Barabara and Goleta that is really good! The service is insanely fast even when there is a huge line and there are always plenty of salsas to choose from and the classic onions and cilantro mix ready. They also have plenty of different meat options, however if you are looking for Tripes, they only serve it on fridays, Saturdays and sundays and you can get it either crispy or steamed. What is nice is that all the tacos are the same price no matter what meat you get, however it does not show the price on the menu so just know its $2.00 and they are probably the best street tacos you can get in SB and have won many awards in SB! If you want tacos, this is the place to go!

Terrible customer service/awareness. So I have been going to Lillys for years, long before the Goleta location opened. I used to stand in line outside the Chapala store and watch the freeway cars whiz by. Today that all changes. I order 3 tacos and start to wait. I then remembered that I wanted peppers and onions. I very politely wait until the cashier moves to the next person and quickly ask. She says sure. Then while Im moving back to where I was waiting, she informs me its a dollar. I decided to get in the back of the line and wait my turn. When I get there I noticed I spent the cash I had on my first order, so I grab my debit card. Im then informed there will be a 50¢ charge for purchases less than $5. Its not worth it at this point. I then go to pick up my tacos and they try to hand me the extras but I decline because I didnt pay and the looked at me like Im the biggest problem ever. I just dont understand it when people in service jobs refuse to give good service. I looked very disappointed and I feel they couldnt care less. I will avoid them now and you should too, at least until they look up the words good, service, and customer.

I just moved to Goleta from Mexico City and unfortunately I didnt like these tacos. We think the flavor could be much better given the prices. The beef tacos (carne asada) were specially disappointing, the meat seems cheap and without much flavor. Tortillas are not that good and the tacos are quite small for the prices. I also tried the vegetarian tacos and they were ok. I think have a large potential to improve because they are quite popular and the location is good. I also didnt like that they serve tacos in styrofoam plates. That broke my environmentalist heart. I know they probably do it to reduce costs, but Im sure they could use non-disposable plates like taquerias in Mexico.
