Theyre sesame beef, and orange beef are the exact same entree, the sesame beef is seasoned with the same orange sauce they use for the orange chicken and orange beef, it is absolutely nauseating. There is more breading then beef on the sesame and orange beefs. Most of the entrees like the kung pao or mongolian beef have very little flavor, the sauces are too watery and it spills easily all over the inside of the bag when you order it to go because it is overflowing and so watered down. Chose vegetable chow mein for the lunch special and they did not tell me until I got there and the food was already ready that it is $4 more. So I bought a lunch special or veg fried rice and sesame beef and it ended up being $14, how is that a damn lunch special?!
My wife indicated she was in the mood for Chinese food and mentioned the Lincoln Chinese restaurant in downtown Lincoln. Instead of objecting that I wasnt thrilled with the food experience several years ago, I figured it might have been a bad night so things might have changed this time. Not the case and two other family members pretty much had the same complaints about the food as I did. All of the dishes were overly oily, to me they tasted like chicken fat and therefore each dish tasted the same. The shrimp was soggy, chow mein had huge noodles and were soaked in oil. I felt Panda Express was better than this place at a third of the cost. This was some of the worst Chinese food I ever had. Good sized portions, but like most people who look forward to leftovers the following day, our leftovers went directly into the trash can.
First time to eat here. It was very good. We will definitely return to try other items on their extensive menu.
The only reason why I gave 4 is the fried wong tong and Fortune cookies were NOT Crunchy.

Im sure this tastes good, but I expected my lemon chicken to be covered in lemon sauce. I guess this place fries you the whole chicken and windsurfers the sauce. DIY Chinese food to go.

Just had dinner The worst service I’ve ever had we asked for steam rice with the Won ton soup did not get the rice till 15 minutes after we got all the food. I don’t know about you but I do not consider steam rice a dessert. $75. Dollar later she through the food in the Togo box inches from me All I could do is Laugh. Food was edible and that’s all I can say about it

I always include the General Chicken to our order. The sauce is great and I live the chewy chicken. In fact all their sauces have different flavors and are distinctive from each other from recipe to recipe. As of 6-4-21 they were only doing take out and no dine in so their take out orders were ready in 15 minutes! We are lucky to have this restaurant in Lincoln.
I have been going to this restaurant since 2010 and the food has always been great. It still is. But if you have picky eaters in your house and try to customize a dish, they will charge you more, a lot more. For instance, I ordered chicken chow mein with no veggies. They didnt tell me until I was picking up my food that the price for the chow mein was about 7 dollars more than the normal price, all because I asked for NO veggies. Thats less food, and less work, for almost double the price? Pretty outrageous and greedy if you ask me. Good food, bad business practices.

Went with my mom for lunch while I was in town visiting shortly after Thanksgiving. The service was great, food was good. Everything was very quick. We ordered a table full of food knowing wed have leftovers just to have our favorites to share. Reasonably priced. Would absolutely return on another visit

We have eaten here at Lincoln Chinese restaurant on and off since it opened. It has become our family go to place now. The staff is amazing and exhausted after our family leaves. Great food and will priced.
We’ve had Lincoln Chinese twice and both times it was delicious! They are super fast and we called in our dinner order while running some errands and it was ready within 15 minutes. The staff was friendly and nice and they seem to have their set up organized for their TO GO orders and my husband ran in and out picking up/paying for our dinner. We ordered everything à la carte, we ordered Broccoli Beef, Sweet and Sour Pork, Orange Chicken, House Chow Mein and Beef On Stick. For all of that it came out to $54, which we thought was totally reasonable because the servings are so generous and last us about two nights worth of dinners. Everything was still steaming when we got home and we have a bit of a drive from Lincoln, so that was nice! We’ll absolutely be back to order! Thank you for the delicious food and great service!
My family and I will never eat at Lincoln Chinese again. Patrons beware, the service here was horrible this evening. The service was okay until we were served our appetizers. In order to make room for two plates, the main lady waitress, who walks around like a tyrant, slams our dishes around, as if she were disgusted. So, in fear, my husband and I scrambled to make room for the entrees before she’d be back. As she arrives she has three plates, slams them down and says something like, “these two are the same”. We looked at the entrees and noticed that the order was wrong. The three of us, who went to dinner specifically ordered three different entrees so that we could sample each of them. Nobody came to our table to ask how things were, if we needed anything else. My husband told the waitress that we didn’t order two of the same plates, and she said, “yes you did”.We usually order take out from here, after tonight, this is the last time we eat here period. I’ve had better service and food from Panda 🐼
Havent been here in over 2 years, used to love it . Todays experience wasnt that great seated fast, friendly staff but took less than 5 minutes too get our food after ordering, not hot at all barely even warm . Very disappointing, probably wont return.
I recommend coming here for lunch. They have good, affordable lunch-time prices with a pretty decent portion sizes. Theyre normally very kind, and get your food to you quickly. Ive only had really one negative experience here and that was when they were busy at dinner time. Otherwise, really reliable.

The food is good but the waitstaff are a little funny. The restaurant was half empty but they came and asked us if we wanted a box to go which was fine because we did, but we were having a conversation and instead of just setting the box down for us to use, they noisely cleared our table and scraped our leftovers into the box. No big deal but we had to stop our conversation while they did this. Would have been nicer if we could have put our leftovers in the box ourselves when we were ready and they could have cleared our table after we left.
Ive lived in Lincoln for 24 years. Lincoln Chinese is the best. We always order to go. General chicken, house fried rice, chicken chow mein, Potstickers and cream cheese wontons😋
Me and my wife absolutely love Lincoln Chinese! The food is outstanding. Very authentic tasting plates. Also the servings here are portioned for families. So be prepared to get full! The inside is a little on the older side but dont let the looks fool you. The staff here are very very nice. They make you feel like family while you are there, which happens every single visit. Lincoln Chinese will always be our go-to when it comes to grabbing some very delicious Chinese food.
We come to this place often! They have the best fried rice! I havent had anything bad; weve had General Chicken, Orange Chicken, Broccoli Beef, Almond Chicken, House Chow Mein, Walnut Shrimp. All great! Staff is very friendly too!

Needs a lot of improvement. Ive been here 3 times now and all three times the service was sub par, the food was less than prices are steep for quality of food.We ordered the mongolian beef and it sucks, ordered the mixed rice and it was flavorless. The sweet and sour chicken also a big disappointment.Last time I ordered the sizzling rice soup and it was small, flavorless, and a disappointing portion size.Ive heard people talk highly of this place and I truly cant understand why. Over priced, flavorless, with sub par service. Servers are unfriendly, yelling and singing chinese in the kitchen area.Very disappointed at the overall experience.
Best Chinese food in Lincoln. Great selection, great service and staff. Food is prepared quickly. Ordering to go, I have had nothing but great experiences. Orders are correct and ready in a matter of minutes so you can be on your way. The staff welcomes you like they have known you forever.
The food is very Americanized, & busy for that reason! They use less sesame oil, Chinese spices & traditional MSG, but the food is mostly Chinese still! This business has been open for 22 years & many more to come if they desire, prices are moderate but portions are huge & result in money well spent!!! I prefer stronger spices & traditional Chinese tastes, so I prolly will not make this my favorite Chinese place!!!
Excellent food. Quick service, great food and plenty of it. It was my 1st time but not my last. Food is just as good as San Francisco China town. I thought I could never find better food outside of my home town (S.F.), but I did at Lincoln Chinese. Thanks, Ill be back!!!

Ive eaten here a few times, but not for more than a year. This was hands down the best. We had sweet and sour pork, kung pao chicken, pork fried rice, and combo chow me in. Everything was excellent.
I CANNOT BELIEVE what I just saw. I got up and left without leaving a tip after this. They wouldnt deserve it.I was sitting here, eating appetizers, and waiting for my dinner order, and a very sweet soft spoken uber eats driver came in with an order she was picking up. The lady working FLIPPED, and started screaming in her face, and the poor driver began backing away, and the employee kept stepping forward, getting closer while intensely and violently screaming at her. I almost got up to defend this girl because it was so bad, intense, and violent, the law would consider any harm done as self defense. THATS how bad, rude, intense, scary, and near-violent this went. This was echoing in the entire restaurant as she was provoking a fight for no reason. Im also not the only person who almost got up to defend the uber driver.All of this was because they dont have whatever the Uber customer wanted and they didnt understand what uber was. I cant believe this, because restaurants need to sign up for Uber, yet the staff is apparently unaware.I have spent thousands of dollars here, and that will be the last time. I was already on the edge about this place as I got sick the last 2 times I came, but I have come here so many times I figured Id give a final chance, and then this happened. Never again.

My family and I have eaten here at the restaurant and ordered take out from Lincoln Chinese Restaurant since we first moved to Lincoln in 1998.The food is tremendous and our children have grown up eating here. The staff are almost like family and are very friendly and professional.It truly feels like coming home when we are here!I highly recommend this place for eat in or take out!

Ordered thru Door Dash and the food arrived very quickly. Was disappointed in the10 wonton soup, wontons were mainly wrappers with very little filling and the snow peas shrimp was very bland and veggies overcooked. Also never received the appetizers that were supposed to be included.🙁
This place is pretty good. The staff is super nice. Hop Sing in Folsom is still the reigning champion but if arent looking forward to an hour drive round trip, this place has you covered.

First of all, the food is very reasonably priced. We were seated quickly. The staff kept our drinks filled.We ordered our food. The waitresses are very pushy to get you to order quickly. They asked us three times if we were ready to order in 4 minutes.Instead of bringing each item with time between they put your soup, appetizer, rice and an entre on the table at once so by the time we were able to eat the soup everything else was cold.We were given tea we didnt ask for and were not asked if we wanted anything else.I received Kung Pao chicken that tasted like it was drenched in oyster sauce. It was disgusting so I asked for something else instead. Ping told me, Next time if you do not want this, do not order it because now we have to throw this away.We also got the peppered beef that had zero pepper and even less flavor.They brought us our replacement then bagged up all our food WHILE we were still eating, pushing us out the door. Very rude and very pushy. I wont be returning.
My family has tried this place multiple times (sit in and take out) and cannot bring ourselves to like it. Each plate has a massive amount of oil under the food and many of the different items taste pretty close to the same. The staff has never been friendly, like they are too busy to deal with you. I wish lincoln had a decent Chinese restaurant.

Local business. Best ever Chinese food. Always a 20 minute wait for take out. Cheaper places to eat but none better. A family favorite. Area for large groups. The servers did another wonderful job, food served on time and hot for a large group.
The service was very poor. The ladies were very rude and mean. First of all, the menu doesn’t say what each item consists of. Example, it just says House Fried Rice doesn’t tell us what it contains or what kind of meat it has. When I got the food, it had meat that I don’t eat and I asked the server if I can change my order or if they could do it without the meat. She said no and said “Next time you go anywhere, you ask the server what the dish has or let them know before.” How can I let them know if I don’t know what the dish contains. She was pretty rude. They didn’t change my order. I ended up paying for a meal that I didn’t even eat.
I really like this Chinese restaurant. The food is tasty. This restaurant is one that its clientel has been coming for years. Frequently the restaurant is busy but if one needs to wait for a table, the wait is well worth it. You will not leave this restaurant hungry. The food is outstanding. Try it, you will like it.

If I could give no stars I would first time ordering here because its supposed to be best in town. Horrible customer service. We ordered a bunch of food for pick up and when we got home it was all the wrong stuff, so we called back then the lady argued with us telling us that we got what we ordered. First of all she gave us a bunch of stuff with shrimp in it, we dont eat anything seafood so its not what we ordered at all, after argueing with my husband, she finally said to come back and get correct order so my husband went back for the second trip and she wouldnt give him the correct order once he was there, she was rude handed him a box of noodles(literally) and said this all you get for free its like first of all we spent a bunch of money on food we didnt order so we should get the correct food! Secondly we told her we just wanted the plain chow mein and she literally just gave us plain noodles with nothing on it. I have no idea why this place has such good reviews we spent a good amount of money here and didnt even eat any of what we paid for, we had a horrible experience with the customer service here and will never return nor recommend. Five thumbs down!!!
When they tell you 15 min on a Friday or a Saturday night, just know its going to take an hour. Other than that, the food is always spectacular.

This chinese restaurant has been in Lincoln the longest. They are well established in the area and have excellent food. They are always busy. Its best to call ahead and ask about wait time. Its a good size place lots of seating.
I got the sweet and sour chicken. The chicken was dry and old the shrimp fried rice was just lightly browned steamed rice. I wish I could have not given a star because one is giving them to much credit

P1111Rehe Wonton soup had Zero flavor, it tasted like water and had very little wontons and no shrimp, or chicken and vegetables of any kind but cabbage.The Dim sum was awful...tasting alot of one type of spice permeating all of it.The fried rice looked and tasted as though it was leftover from day before,already dark from Soy Sauce. They used to be pretty good but not any more.
Food was just ok. Fried rice was dry, orange chicken was way overcooked, and the chicken salad was very wet. The best part was the walnut shrimp but they werent enough to save the meal.

Im very disappointed in this restaurant food. We ordered chicken cashew dish, pork fried rice, won tong soup, and sautéed vegetables. Chicken cashew dish was so obviously overcooked and stale. It was probably cooked three days ago and then warmed up multiple times. Cashews tasted very old and stale and impossible to eat. Pork fried rice was most likely cooked in either stale or reused cooking oil because it had the bitter taste of something burned. Also, the rice was definitely overcooked or probably just like chicken cashew dish cooked a few days ago and then warmed up multiple times.The soup and sautéed vegetables were OK. I have to admit that some time ago I tried food from this restaurant and I really liked it. Apparently, good practices got forgotten. Too bad! Go back to your old good practices, business owners! Otherwise, youll start loosing your clients very soon.
I just walk in and walk out! The lady at the register just greeted us saying for here ir to go, like 3 times! I told her to at least let me walk in! Then she said, to go, to go, just 20 minutes, to go and slap my arm! It was my first time and I walk out, you dont touch people to make a statement and definitely you dont yell at people telling them that the order needs to be to go because you guys are closing! We still had over 40 minutes to eat there! Im from out of town and they have me a pretty bad impression!
Been to coming to Lincoln Chinese for 15 years now. Not once disappointed, Ping and the rest of the family are just that, Family. They are always so nice and pleasent and ALWAYS ask how the family especially my boys are doing.Favs are Honey Walnut Shrimp, General Chicken, Orange Chicken, Broccoli Beef (no broccoli $2 extra beef 😂💯) egg drop soup, wonton soup.Go check them out you will not be disappointed!!!
Friendly staff and consistently the best Chinese food in the area. Their orange chicken and curry chicken have always been, hands-down, our favorite dishes. So good.
I asked if the pork Wister fried the waitress assured me it was when the dish came it was barbecued pork then had been stir-fry day wasnt fresh tasting it was heavy and laying with soy sauce and the sauce with stick it had no other flavors the other dishes we had were marginal at best but like I say there was a rudeness and an overall willingness to get us out of the restaurant as quickly as possible like they had a shortage of dishes....

Drove all the way to Lincoln Heights take my family for dinner when we got there we ordered our dinner which consisted of eight different dishes food arrived in less than four minutes and was not only old but cold as well and very nasty and stale JUNK paid $103 when asked to box it I told them to put it where it belongs in the TRASH please don’t waste your time and money

Been coming here all my life and converted people from all over. I love lincoln chinese, the lunch special is the best and Im going to be honest, sometimes the service could use improving. Ive had both good and bad experiences. And for younger crowd: the bad ones someone always happen when Im without someone older who looks more well off. Even with that, I go there at least once a month.

The restaurant needs to have some sort of a combo plate for people that come in that dont have friends or family or anything because I dont want to order more food than I need to have dinner so some sort of a combo play would be nice for a single person to sit down and eat

Another reason literally had to yell across the restaurant for a refill for water, which should be an occurring thing to do is to check on your customers!
This place is hella garbage. Do not buy food here like ever. Annoying lady on the phone who works here. Rude service. Food was absolutely sick. And a huge waste of money. DO NOT BUY THIS PLACE,

Seshuan chicken is excelent. Restaurant was clean and the service was good. $6.40 out the door for a lunch meal with rice and soup as well. I will be back.

Prices are high and the people that work there werent familiar with the menus and left a plate that belonged to another customer and took it from our table, my thoughts were what if I picked from it and they still give it to the other customer?

2023-05-20 21:30:54When we’re in the area this is our go to lunch or dinner place. Our all time favorite is general chicken, wonton soup, and fried rice. If you haven’t been here, don’t sleep on it.

As in the “owner comment,” the lady who took my older told me that they dont do that, but, she will do it this one time! Always up charging and overpricing to get money from us customers! This is Excatly why my family stop coming! Its not, about the money, its about the dishonest and money hungry establishment!

2021-12-06 03:30:48Five of us went to enjoy this place. It was referred to us by a friend. We ordered the family dinner for $14.95 each. The appetizers were egg roll and fried won ton and the soup was egg flower. Our entreés were sweet n sour pork, cashew chicken, broccoli beef, pork chow mean and pepper beef. All the vegetables were crisp tender meats tender and sauces delicious. Portions were good size, we had reasonable leftovers. The food came in a reasonable amount of time. The reason it wasnt a 5 star review is we had to go up to the cashier to ask for to go boxes and we had to box and bag them ourselves (Im not fond of dirty fingers when Im out). They also didnt collect the payment for our check and we had to wait for 7 to-go orders to be processed before we could pay. They also left us sitting in dirty dishes and didnt offer more hot tea even though the pot was small. Otherwise it was a terrific place. We will be ordering from here for our Christmas Eve traditional family meal.

We had takeout mongolian beef, general chicken, and cream cheese wontons- all menu items we normally like, and we are not picky. These were bland and, except for the hot sauce, the seasoning was almost non-existent. We discussed whether or not to even keep the leftovers. Threw away much of them.

2023-08-31 17:07:02I ordered the Sichuan chicken, and the waitress brought sesame chicken. She seemed upset when I told her that was not what I had ordered ( I should have kept it). When she returned with the correct dish, it was tasteless, and there were maybe 3 pieces of chicken. As soon as we were served, she brought the check and to-go boxes. It was a horrible experience. It was my first time there, and most likely my last.

2020-11-25 02:00:44I was in the area and wanted Chinese food.The customer service was awesome..the woman at the register was so kind...it was nice to talk to her.I ordered over the phone general chicken lunch with the fried rice. It was 6.95. Served with steamed, or pork fried rice, and egg flower soup. But no soup for take out i guess...it did not come with it.The rice was good. I took two stars off because my meat was cold like it was sitting around. I ordered my food and came in right when they brought it out...it should have been piping hot...but instead it was cold.I do not know how this is possible unless they did not give me fresh food.The flavor was good...I liked it a lot...unfortunately cold Chinese is not good.Not sure I would ever go back. There are too many places to eat...

My wife and I have been long term customers of Lincoln Chinese, our first date over ten years ago was here at Lincoln Chinese. The owners are wonderful people, and I recommend this place to others as a good example of well made Chinese food.

2022-01-30 21:32:40Are used to come to this restaurant regularly but had two bad experiences in a row. That was several years ago. Had lunch there today. Sweet and sour chicken. The service was good the food was also good and the price was reasonable. I’m back to recommending Lincoln in Chinese
