2023-10-10 13:25:19Had a great experience with this campground. Lot of space, firepit, parking space, camping table on the site and of course bear boxes. We were advised at the entrance that bear was spotted that day morning, we only saw a bear cub running over the road in the morning outside of the camp. Campground offers general store where you can buy everything your need for camping and cooking. Would definitely come back!

2023-08-01 14:25:43This rating is for the bathrooms only, especially the one across from site 18 in the Lodgepole 1-22 campground. I dont know who is supposed to be cleaning these bathrooms but the womens is terrible. The toilets, sinks, floor all need to be cleaned and swept. Most women I heard walking in made comments about it. Please take pride in your work and do better.

2023-07-22 17:06:04Most likely the best campground in California. Great location near beautiful spots: Tokopah falls, Moro Rock, Crescent Meadow, Crystal Cave, Gen Sherman Tree. This campground also has the general store and nature center. Hopefully they will open the showers and grill again soon. It’s a short drive from Wuksachi lodge, where you can buy hot meals if needed. Personally, I think the upper portion of this campground has the most beautiful campsite I have anywhere I’ve been.

2023-07-27 19:25:28Amazing place. Campsites are all beautiful! This is not wilderness camping, There is a big market on location. Lots of people there but the spots aren’t overly crowded. Absolutely will go back.Tokopah falls was amazing and worth the hike!

2023-10-14 21:24:21What rooms? Service? Exactly. This campground is smackity dab in the middle of See-quoi-a national park 🌲 Location is fantabulosimo. Be bear aware. Its right by the gift shop and the visitor center, but thats closed now. No showers (closed for the season). The turdlets were dirtaaayyyyy. Even for us people who are used to camp toilets 🚽 🪠 Weird bear lock. 🐻 There was a loud family who didnt follow quiet hours 😞

2023-06-27 17:06:17This is by far our favorite campground in Sequoia. Lots of trails, and General Sherman and the giant forest are close and accessible by shuttle. Also, lots of wildlife to see. Tokopah Falls is nice trail...rigorous but our 7 year old can walk the entire way. Research before you get there. Depending on the winter, there may be very little or lots of water in the river. Also, this year (2023) the market is closed and the showers have been closed for the last few years. Hopefully everything will open up in 2024.

2023-09-02 22:04:55The only good thing about this campground is its location and the fact that is served by the parks shuttle. Thats by all means the worst NPS campground we have been to during our one month roadtrip in the Western US. The toilets were filthy and definitely not enough to serve all those sites (we were in the loop where site 151 is). Furthermore, there are no showers on site, as the public ones in the market building were closed for the season (without any notice posted around the campground).

2023-08-14 19:24:25The pressure on this place that is put on by the heavy traffic is bad. The lady at the gate was bitter. The market was overran, the campgrounds were heavily patrolled which I liked, but trash, trash, trash. People pack SO MUCH trash into their vehicles and just thrash the place. Again, music all day and night, BBQ, loud talking, where were the cops when the weed smoke started and the airsoft guns were going off? The people in this campground have no idea what they are doing when they book this place. Not impressed.

2023-07-24 16:47:45Hands down the best campground we found while visiting the national parks. Perfect location with a store right next to it. Short hike to the Topokah falls. Highly recommended :-)

2023-07-04 18:00:09Stayed at site 198. My only complaint is that there could be another bathroom in the loop. I was told there was a bear my site earlier, so when I woke up at 2am to use the bathroom the walk to the single bathroom in the loop felt pretty long. The bear boxes are a good size. I fit everything I needed with plenty of room to spare. Pictured is a 30qt fridge and a Bluetti EB70S. Tons of bear proof dumpsters around, so you dont have to walk very far to get rid of your delicious trash immediately. There is a fire pit that I didnt use. Plenty of room at site 198. It had some decent distance to the next site, but it is right next to a trailhead and the entrance to the loop, so dont expect privacy even if it looks tucked away by the rocks on the map. I slept in my truck but set up a tent just in case I got too warm.
