Ive visited many times. Empanadas are made fresh to order, so expect to wait. Seasonal offerings are delicious. Desserts and all dishes are homemade. I follow them on IG and they turned a food truck into a successful business. Go support them. Roughly 4 bucks per empanada. Youll need three.

Amazing Food, Good Service, Can’t WAIT to be back!Their empanadas are ridiculously good and their service staff are friendly and helpful! Cooks in the kitchen workin HARD!I got their breakfast sandwich with bacon, eggs and cheese, with fries, thinking it would be small. Oh no. It was HUGE, delicious and VERY filling! I couldn’t finish their delicious fries.They also have a lot of amazing dips for their empanadas as well. Very tasty and the flavor is out of this world. Dining area is very tranquil and intimate, very nice coffee house kind of vibe to it, without the loud music.Great place to grab a bite!

Been wanting to go try this place out and was finally able to go. It was definitely worth the trip. The empanadas are not that big and I recommend at least 3 per person. Between my wife, son and myself we had 10 empanadas (including the dessert ones) and a sandwich with fries. There are about 8 booths to eat there. The only thing is the parking is limited and I wish they had an A/C instead of a swamp cooler.

WOW! I tried almost all of their classic empanadas (beef, chicken, chorizo, mushroom, birria, pizza...). They come out, piping hot and adorable, in two lines of labeled parchment paper so you can know which one youre biting into. They come with chimichrri, which is a wonderful touch.They. Were. All. Delicious.Usually, Im not the biggest fan of empanadas. These were different. The dough was crunchy, the fillings were generous and tender, and the flavors were incredibly savory and creative! For $3.75!! If you get the chance, check out their dessert empanadas too! The apple pie is like a mcdonalds apple pie on steroids.Usually, Im all in on meat fillings, but the mushroom empanada blew my mind today. Ill definitely be back with the rest of my family!

We are from Argentina and know what is authentic. This is not it. The milanesa sandwich especially was terrible! The meat was fried till almost black. The place is not staffed by Argentines either. Also way too expensive for what we got. There are better places to eat if you want Argentine food.

First time trying this restaurant. We used to drive by it frequently until we decided to finally try it. The food is fresh and very tasty, the staff friendly & knowledgeable about their menu. I tried the Choripan and birria empanada with consome and was happy they had Topo Chico!! My favorite mineral water. My husband and I will become regulars for sure I want to try their whole menu😋 I highly recommend Lord Empanada!!!

Man o’ man. This place is no joke. Super nice folks, INCREDIBLE empañadas: Fluffy dough and scalding hot, they’re nice and big, the asada and the Al pastor were delicious. The salsas are tremendous as well. At $3.75 a piece as of April 2023, it’s a delicious inexpensive lunch - I recommend 2 or 3 and you’ll be full and satisfied! Worth the trip.

Was craving for empanadas the other day and saw Lord Empanadas in Monrovia. Decided to give it a try, it is a little pricey, $3.50 per piece, 1 dozen for $36. At first, I didnt see the price for 1 dozen, so I bought 8 empanadas which cost $36, I wished the lady at the cashier told me about the dozen special. I went back 2 days later to get 1 dozen, 3 beef, 3 chicken, 2 pizza, 2 sausage and 2 bacon. The reason I went back was because my wife and son wanted more, they loved it very much. The beef and chicken empanadas are very good, a great mixture of spices and flavor. Pizza is pretty normal which my son loved. The breakfast sausage and bacon are great too. Overall, great empanadas w/ excellent outer crust, however, in my opinion the fillings are too little.

Got to Lord Empanadas around 7pm. I was afraid theyd have a limited selection so close to closing but they had everything we wanted. Great service, the lovely cashier was warm and welcoming and gave recommendations for items on their menu. We were in and out in less than 10 minutes. Empanadas were crispy on the outside and warm on the inside. Would come back for their fries, sandwiches and beer selection.

After we finished with breakfast and shopping around I told my wife I wanna go to Lord Empanadas not that far away where we are and then we headed to get some delicious empanadas. My wife and I enjoy empanadas very much we try different style of empanadas from Mexico,Argentina,etc. The empanadas has expanded in many ways that have become very popular especially Argentina empanadas if you like bake or fried everybody has their favorite empanadas.When arrive at the restaurant the parking lot is very small then we step in we notice the restaurant is very small and theres a long line for ordering empanadas and theres a waited to get a table. When we were front in line the cashier was telling theres a 30 to 45 minutes waited because theres were so order then we decided to waited. We order chicken,beef,al pastor and others flavors. The empanadas cost $3.75 each if you like a dozen its $41 a dozen.Our was ready we the empanadas were very warm fresh from the oven. They were very light and fully of flavors in the empanadas. We wer were eating the empanadas in the car if we take them theyve ill be cold. Be sure make phone order its going to take awhile if you want eat at the restaurant come early.

I gotta say this place is one of the best places I have had in a long time. We found this randomly looking for places to eat on Google maps. So glad we came here. Really nice and chill atmosphere. I love the vibe. The workers are really friendly and have great attitudes. Very helpful as well. Everything we tried was great. We had Birria, beef, mushroom and spicy black bean empanadas. All were great. We also got the Choripan which is an Argentine Sausage with a side of fries that was really good. They also have great sauces and salsa. We tried the Chimichurri, red salsa, spicy chimichurri and the consume for the Birria. Overall 10 out 10 for the experience and the food. They also have a small selection of craft beers available. We are definitely coming back very soon.

We found the empanadas very tasty. I have been here twice and both times the food was very good. I will be back. I want to try the desserts. They look so delicious! The employers are cheerful and helpful. It has a family feel with family pictures and memorabilia on the wall. Parking can be tricky, but I understand there is parking across the street.

I travel a lot and I think these are probably the best empanadas I’ve ever had. I tried 5 different savory ones and 2 different sweet ones. They were ALL amazing. My favorite were the al pastor and the birria. Both sweet ones were good but the cheesecake was beyond. For all of them the crust is think, crispy and flaky.Do not sleep on this place!!

The empanadas are delicious. We had beef, chicken, spinach and cheese, spicy black bean and Birria. The sandwich’s are pretty tasty too. They make a secret sauce you can purchase too. I’ve been a coupe of times it’s always clean and the staff is really nice and helpful. Ten out of ten would totally recommend.

But Im not a good person to judge because most empanadas are the same, a thick somewhat flaky outside with ok filling. My favorite empanada was from a place at the Irvine farmers market where the tasty juice always squirted out from pastry. Still looking.

We had the Porchetta and the choripan. Both sandwiches are pretty good. The flan was delicious. The birria empanada is my favorite . The chicken empanada didnt have much flavor but it wasnt that bad. BEST empanadas! The pie dough has just the right amount of flakeyness without being too light and messy. The sauces that come with each pie for dipping make for the perfect combination of savory or spice for whatever pie your dipping. I used the consumme for all pies. This place is delicious. There has not been an empanada that I have not liked. The selection of local breweries shows their commitment to the community. Parking is snug, so I suggest parking in the public parking lot on the south west corner. Its free! Oh I almost forgot! The chimichurri is fantastic and is great for dipping and pouring on your empanadas the staff is friendly and service is swift the times weve been in. The dining area is a bit small and it can be difficult for a large party to get seats when they are busy

Yes, they are as good as their reputation. We were bummed that their empanadas are deep-fried, as we try to avoid that. So, we ordered a number of un-cooked empanadas, and baked them at home. They were great! They were also quite large. On average, we can only eat two apiece for a meal. The chimichuri sauce is really good, too.

Awesome local hole-in-the wall, definitely has a community vibe to it. Quick service, friendly staff, and very close to Downtown Monrovia (good spot for eating, boba and a stroll in the park). Empanadas were excellent! I recommend the chicken, beef, and spinach. Also, the vegan one was pretty fantastic too. Ate them so fast I didn’t have a chance to take photos!

Just got a bunch of empanadas from this place to take home since the wife was craving some.So far I have had the pizza, spicy asada and their Nutella ones. I could eat the Nutella (and banana) one all day! Its covered with powdered sugar and a little bit of chocolate syrup I think. It didnt last long enough to remember what that was on the outside.Their flaky crust are amazing and the spicy chimichuri sauce made the spicy asada one even more amazing.I think we will be adding this to our rotation for going out. I definitely need to try their sandwiches and desserts that they make in house next time!

Fun experience but a crazy busy place due to the recent PR. I liked how they presented the empanadas with their names written next to them so you knew which was which. The dough of the empanada was great and not greasy at all. The fillings were okay but I think I needed to eat more than just empanadas for dinner (kind of got bored). My favorites were the dessert empanadas - the chocolate banana and the raspberry cheesecake - YUM! They were out of the apple pie but I would go back to try it. May be best to order ahead for pick up (seems like lots of people do that) as the seating is limited and the place is small. Cute find. Give it a try!

Not going to lie I was expecting a lot from this place. It recently was getting much press as a top 100 restaurants in LA. I have mad love for empanadas. These were okay. For the massive amount of ingredients it felt very one note. I wanted to taste the olives and egg but it mostly tasted like ground beef. And at nearly $4 a pop I was really expected more!

The empanadas were bland and surprisingly very small. I bought a variety dozen: chicken, birria, asada, spinach, mushroom, and black bean & corn. All were super dry, as were the crusts, which were also oily and chewy. The dips that accompanied the empanadas--all mexican-style salsas--were also bland, and didnt help at all with the dryness. It is a shame that I have to write a negative comment about this place as the empanadas are great tasting. I am sure they whomever is reading this review today will know why this negative review base on service and atmosphere is written. It starts in the kitchen in which the food is served and turn for me and family to walk our with a sour taste on mouths. This place is legit! I had been going to Titos in El Monte for years and heard from a friend about this place and its amazing! My favorite was the Birria empanada, the flavor was amazing and the texture of the crust on the empanada was perfect. The sweet option I had was the cheesecake with the raspberry sauce and it was great! This is one our new favorite places! Parking can be tricky, but if no spots are available, I recommend the metro parking lot across the street. Enjoy!

I love apple pie empanada. So I had to check this place out. When I saw their breakfast empanada. Oh yeah, I gotta go, ASAP.Long drive for me from Anaheim. But worth it.Parkings gotta be an issue during their busy hours. It wasnt when I got there.I door dashed it for pick-up because I got places to go. I had the soy chorizo, the mushroom, and the spinach/cheese empanadas and my bf had the black bean, the mushroom, and the spinach/cheese. My favorite was a tie between the soy chorizo and the mushroom and his was a tie between the black bean and the mushroom but we both thought the spinach/cheese was very good, too. The cheesecake dessert empanada was delicious, too! It was a little hot by the window in the sun, but the food was really great!

The Owner, Ryan was irresponsible and didn’t follow through with his work. I spent so much time trying to secure his business and he failed to contact me back. He misleads people. And wasted precious time by playing games with me. I am left without catering services for my party and need to now figure things out fast. I gave up two other caterers to work with him and he has gone radio silent. Ryan is immature and not a businessman at all. Be a better person and businessman.
