Best Mexican food in town. when it gets busy, the wait time takes a bit, but always worth the wait. Lorena the owner is very sweet and treats everyone like she’s known them forever and her fellow employees are just as pleasant. food is always excellent

My father wanted to try her food since ownership changed. He said previously he and my mother dinned there while under the old ownership but didnt care for it because rice was not served with their meals. His words were....What Mexican restaurant serves your meal with beans and no rice? LOL So, he started reading reviews about Lorena and they were all great so he asked me to order food for take out as he isnt feeling good to go out to eat. So of course I did. I ordered Chile Rellenos for both my father and I plus he also wanted a beef taco. I also ordered just a beef taco al a carte for my mother. I have to say, we being of Mexican decent we know what really good, true, Mexican food is and not only was it amazingly delicious, Her portions are enormous and her prices are incredibly reasonable. She could probably charge more for what she serves. Moreover, when I went to pick up our food, she greeted me, was super friendly and I told her I was picking up food for my father since he was not up to coming in. She thanked me for giving them a try and invited me back to come in for a drink, I totally recommend Lorena Ds. You get great food and great and friendly service. I wish her much success for a bright long future in her business. We will definitely be back again and again.

Really yummy place! The jumbo burrito really is a mega size burrito for a great price. Sylvia was our server and she was very kind and friendly! She had a few regulars come in while I was there who were so excited to see her, which I thought was sweet.

AWFUL!!! That was my first and last time going to this place. I rarely write reviews but this place is ridiculously overrated. Carne asada burrito had no flavor and was the same price, but half the size of La Cocina’s burrito. Barely lukewarm. Ordered a blended mango margarita and it came to me with only fragments of blended ice. Mango flavor, but the consistency of water. The only positive was that the waitress was very sweet. For the life of me I don’t understand all the hype. Went there because I had seen positive reviews. No thanks, I’ll stick to La Cocina where the food is worth the price and the blended margaritas actually come with the ice.

This is the 1st time I have gotten take-out from Lorena Ds since it was Betitos. The food seemed much better than before. We always liked it before. But, my wife and I have been discussing it all weekend. It will not be a long time until I go back again.

Lorena D’s serves homemade comfort Mexican food that’s so good we crave it again the minute we leave. The Margaritas are fabulous! The staff is always happy and friendly. Such a treat to eat there! This is our very favorite restaurant in Canyon Country.

First time and had lunch. I ordered beef tostada. It was delicious and only complaint was lettuce was watery which made fried corn tortilla get soggy. Salsa was so good. Great, attentive service.

I came here for lunch the service was fast and friendly. Had a carne asada burrito full of fresh ingredients and well made.Good cold Modelo on a very hot day to top it off.Its family-owned and operated and nothing deserves our support more than family-owned restaurants...

What a terrific change of ownershipLorena had been a great waitress here for many years and finally bought the place.Same great Mexican food and service with a much improved attitude! First and foremost, for those of you not aware- Lorena Ds was formerly Betitos which was a successful restaurant and one of the oldest full service Mexican dining option this side of the Santa Clarita valley. The restaurant was recently bought by Lorena, who for the last 25 years was the head server at Betitos and one of the main reasons many people returned.Anyone who has ever opened any type of business must understand that there are going to be learning curves and hiccups along the way. I think Lorena and her staff have done an exceptional job at handling the overwhelming support of customers wanting to grab a seat at the new Lorena Ds.Yes, the wait to be seated may take some time, Yes it may take a few extra minutes for the kitchen to pump out orders, but the same thing has happened to me at major franchise restaurants that are fully supported with dozens of servers and kitchen staff! One thing is certain- the second you get sat down and eat their food everything will be incredible. Our server Sylvia was very sweet, accommodating, and accurate with her order taking!If you are a true supporter of small locally owned family run businesses- then you would give this restaurant an earnest review given the circumstances of them only being open for 2 weeks. The food is delicious, the margaritas are fantastic, The ambiance is very inviting, and the cherry on top is seeing Lorena go from employee to owner. Absolutely inspiring. We will be returning over and over again.

BEST AUTHENTIC MEXICAN FOOD!!(Betitos is open, under new ownership)Excellent food ALWAYS! HIGHLY RECOMMEND the steak fajitas, Chile verde, and Botanas appetizer. Honestly, everything is fresh and delicious! Excellent service, the servers remember your drinks and orders when you come in. They treat you as family! You must go and support our local business owners and have a delicious meal!!

It’s worth the wait! Was there twice last week 🤭Friendly staff and margaritas brought me back.Chile relleno plate was great and steak wet burrito was amazing (it was tender and well-seasoned). Can’t wait to try something new next time.

Not impressed with the customer service. Ordered à la carte to go after finishing my lunch. I was charged for an entree, brought it to the waitress attention and she said it was only a dollar difference and I ordered a entree. I ordered à la carte because I didnt want the rice and beans touching my food. À la carte on the menu was 3 taquitos and I received 2..

By far the best Mexican restaurant I have ever been to, I went with my girlfriend for dinner and it was a great experience both in terms of the food, which was very delicious, and the good customer service.Recommended!
