Totally recommend this restaurant. Their homemade salsa and the chips are amazing. We tried burrito, shrimps and chicken taco. totally loved the flavor.

Its pretty small and we had a big group (8), but they were very polite, friendly and accommodating! The food was decent with good size portions, but the salsa was the star! It was tasty and spicy with lots of chopped onions and cilantro! And the service was EXCELLENT!!! Both of the servers were very quick to respond and didnt keep us waiting for anything!!

I have been coming here seriously for nearly 25 years. I remember coming here in 7th grade after school with my fam.The food is great, its family owned, and they have a full soup menu 7 days a week. Really not much else to say, they are the best.

Tried the regular and super carne asada burrito. The super burrito was huuuge. The guacamole, meat, and overall flavor was really good. The sour cream was a little too much. The regular burrito was good. A lot of the meat was toward the bottom of the burrito so it felt like I had half a vegetarian/carne asada burrito. I asked for no sour cream on this one. Both had raw onions.

Cheese enchiladas beans and rice. So first the rice was flat as well as the beans. Enchiladas way to much cheese no taste no tortilla. Very cold I love less the 3\4 of a mile. I was very disappointed. Have to find a new place.

Worth checking out.Whenever we passed by this restaurant, theres always people waiting outside. So we decided to check it out one day. The inside is not very big, it makes sense why theres always people waiting. We got there after lunch hour, so we got seated right away. The staff was very nice and friendly and got our order right away. Im a big fan of menudo so thats what I got and a tripa taco. The menudo was good but the tripa is bomb. I like how they make it so crispy. My husband on the other hand got the goat soup of some sort. And that thing was good too. We were both pleased and tummy full by the time we got out from that place. Its really worth checking out. The food is great and the price is good. If your in tracy area this is worth stopping by.

The place was packed when I arrived for lunch at noon. I waited about 20 min for a table and when I sat down I already knew what I wanted....Albóndigas! It was delicious, it had several huge meat balls, potatoes, squash and carrots. I ordered the small bowl and I barely finished it. Definitely coming back and trying something different.

Food was Great!! But sadly the person who took my order was not helpful 😕, I asked for a receipt and I was told that they Do Not give receipts!!! So it can be a extra charge and you dont even know!! I tryed to check my order before I went home but her explanation Did N0T make any sense, at that point I decided to leave! I was Upset about the fact of an over charge and N0 receipt! I got a big order, when they packed it for me to take home they put heavy boxes on top of others, I asked for another bag and this, seemed to upset the cashier/waitress...When I got home I realized that one of the boxes was smashed and ALL the food was over the plastic bag and napkins!YOUR FOOD ITS GREAT BUT YOUR SERVICE NEED ATTENTION!! Make sure you have the nacho fries. The food is fresh and delish. Friendly service in a small but cozy place. As you can see I remembered to take the picture half way through my food. I was quite anxious to dig in. Wet burrito is a must as well.

Im really sad. I was so hungry. My coworkers recommended this place. Paid 16$ for a wet burrito that was supposed to have no rice. Add lettuce extra chicken. New to the area and I was really craving a breakfast burrito, when I looked up on Google this place came up and was highly recommended for breakfast burritos. I dont know if its the choice that I got which was a bacon breakfast burrito but there was absolutely no flavor to this burrito and I found it to be extremely dry because they put way too many potatoes in it. It was so dry I was eating it in the car and had to stop because I literally couldnt even swallow the food cuz it was getting stuck in my throat from the potatoes I had to wait to get home until I had something to drink and even then I had half of the burrito and ended up not finishing it. There was people dining in there and the food that they were all eating looked amazing I just wasnt a big fan of the breakfast burrito... will still try this place for different food since they seem to be popular and staff was very nice.

Love coming to Los Potros for Burritos and Menudo! Honestly, Im a foodie and I come for a different delicious dish every time, a lot :)The place is family owned and operated. You will notice the owner filling up the salsa containers if you show up early. The rest of the family is either taking orders, serving or working the kitchen. They are always friendly and attentive. Their food has always been consistent and they always want to go above and beyond to please you as their guest. I definitely recommend them for great tasting home style Mexican!

Love this place. Staff is fantastic. I have ordered over 50 times. Only once, did I have a( to go) dish that I found a little too salty.the server had the dish remade in moments that was absolutely perfect. That is what I consider great customer service .and it keeps me from only frequenting this restaurant for Mexican food.in also like the fact I see the owners in the kitchen making sure their recipes are perfect.

I purchased three meat trays for a party I had. One chicken, one carne asada, and one al pastor. All the meat was very good. The trays were hot when I picked them up. Prices are pretty reasonable considering how full the trays are. I will definitely eat here again. Great service as well

Food not good, really disappointed with the quality of food. Chicken in burritos, tacos and nachos look like boiled undercooked chicken with no flavor. My wife and I tried this place the other day and now we love it so much. They are nice, fast and it is one of the best Chimichangas I had in Tracy. Please stop by this place and try out the Burrito Famoso too! It was awesome. We will be back there soon.- Update - been going there a lot now. We love the salsa and everything so very much. Ordered two carnitas dinners and one supper barrito with carnitas. The carnitas was cooked to the point of being tuff and produced a totally new explanation of crispy. These meals were terrible and since I paid $42.00 for them and could not enjoy them I feel extorted since I got them to go and by the time I got home the taqueria was closed. I have never gotten this type of food from this place before but would never go there again.

The customer service at Los Potros was horrible on both occasions that I visited this restaurant. The food is decent but you can definitely find similar quality of food elsewhere in Tracy with better customer service. Both times I visited this place, I was NOT greeted at all for at least 5 minutes. You can at least say hello in the very least and let me know you will need a moment! Very unprofessional and I didn’t bother writing a review after my first experience but I decided a review was granted after this last one. The food tastes amazing though so I might come back but I won’t expect any great service nor will I prepare to tip unless I get extraordinary service next time. I doubt it.

I give the 2nd star because they atleast are taking appropriate measures for social distancing within their store by temporarily shutting down in-store dining and allowing only three customers in the establishment at a time.

It is not fine dining by any stretch of the imagination, but if you want phenomenal authentic mexican food then this is the place to go. This family owned, dine in taqueria is a bit dated, but you will soon forget about that as soon as you take your first bite. Great service and great food. We come from livermore just to eat here. The restaurant was recomended to us from a server at a local restaurant. If you want the best soup go to Los Potros was his comment. We have made several trips, and have only had their soup. Although the other items from the menu that we have seen being served looks delicious. The orders are huge too. You may have to wait at times because it does get busy, but it is well worth the wait.

Came by for the first time today, my husband had been raving about their tacos and insisted I had to try this place. I ordered the super burrito with thwir barbacoa which is traditionally a shredded beef but instead I got what looked like old carne asada in barbacoa sauce. So I asked the waitress if perhaps they gave me someone elses order, she went to the kitchen and they said that was barbacoa. Fortunately for.me I had my husbands barbacoa taco to compare my protein to, and those were undeniably different meats. Seemed to me that they tried to dress up older meats into a burrito assuming the customer wasnt going to notice through the thick layer of rice and beans. So in other words, I was not pleased and for that reason I would not recommendGave it 2 stars because service was attentive and chips where fresh.

The food tastes great but I cant bring myself to giving more than one star as my burrito was literally filled with long strands of dark hair. I recently died my hair blonde so I knew theres no way it could possibly be mine. It was the worst experience!! I had to pull a strand of hair out of my mouth and then started looking in my food and immediately found 2 more and I was done. If you do decide to go there, make sure you thoroughly check your food for hair or anything else. Its a small restaurant that I doubt has seen a health inspector in years. Not to be rude but I take the cleanliness of where my food is being prepared very seriously.

This place really defines the saying Hole in the wall, they are located at the far end of Tracys 11th St . We walked in at around evening time on a lazy sunday but there were enough people to not make us feel all alone and since its a tiny place the feeling of crowd creeps in pretty quickly, we got seated in about 10 min and immediately got served with their complimentary chips and salsa, the chips were mediocre but the salsa was plain amazing, it had a pretty nice fresh cilantro flavor n blended texture of other ingredients. We went ahead and ordered the chicken fajita with couple flour and couple corn tortillas, the order came out in about 15 min hot n sizzling to our table they even serve you with beans n rice on the side. The fajita was much better than what we have tasted at most of the Mexican food joints, the onions were perfectly caramelized, tomatoes were juicy, capsicum were crisp and chicken was roasted on the outside n juicy on the inside. Overall the fajita seasoning was near perfect, the tortillas were nothing special to write home about but overall as a combination they worked well. Our first visit was satisfactory and since the fajita was in itself enough for two people we didnt get to try other stuffs on the menu, will leave 1 star for the future and we will be back for sure.

This place is just getting worse and worse after being one of my favorite mexican places/restaurants to eat this place has been slowly but efficiently become one of the worst places to eat in tracy unfortunately is the closest one I have to my job but if you have options go somewhere elselast year they increased their food prices by almost 30% for example their breakfast burritos were $5 a year ago now they cost almost $7 they are also very greedy with their signature salsa, they always give you as little as possible and I gotta say at least in my case their food isnt good without their salsa and giving you those tiny cups with salsa it is just greedy and bad customer serviceDo you also have a complain about this restaurant, please feel free to share it with the community

The employees are rude when asked what comes in the super burrito the girl at the counter replied I dont know then I replied no guac she made a face as though she was disgusted that I didnt want guac, I ended up just getting tacos that took 20 minutes! They were not even busy and the tacos were just ok, if I hadnt been in a hurry I would have gone some place else Never wasting my money here again!
