I came in from Chicago to visit friends who own a beautiful shop across the lot called MICHAELANGELOS. Anyway, they took me to their favorite Mexican restaurant for lunch! The food was amazing! And of course, the first thing I did was compare the food to the Mexican restaurants in Chicago. It did not disappoint! Everything I ordered was delicious! From the drinks, to the salsas and everything in between, 😋loved loved! Special thanks to my friends Michael and Kevin from MICHAELANGELOS for taking me there!😍

Absolutely delicious. Possibly the best Mexican food I’ve had. Service was excellent. We didn’t have our kids with us, but it was a very family friendly atmosphere and there’s a kids menu with good options. We’ll be back!!

This is my new go to. I had lost my enchilada restaurant..I am picky.This place is on point. Great red sauce, have whole beans and simply awesome cilantro lime rice. The only downside is that I live at fair oaks and Arden, so its a bit of a drive.

I rated this 4 stars for the food. The customer service lacks, but theres only one person. I didnt appreciate how I wasnt given a menu and she asked if Im ready to order. That was odd. I used to go to this restaurant under another name and owner and I liked that place. I will give this place another try, particularly because I did enjoy the food.

Food was very good. So glad this is under new management. Inside has been refurbished. Very nice. Service is excellent. Food is as good or better than when it was Betnardos which was a favorite of our. Now we have a new favorite. If you are in the mood for good Mexican. Give it a try. You wont be disappointed.

This place is so delicious! The restaurant is owned and run by a family who works so hard to ensure you enjoy your food and visit.Birthdays... You get the hat, a song and a dessert that can be shared by four people.I love this place!

Very good Mexican cuisine with excellent service. This used to be Bernardos and has changed management. Great tasting chunky salsa and fresh chips to start out with . Friendly service. The beans and rice were tasty and not bland like many places Ive eaten at. I ordered the two item combination with a Picadillo Taco (shredded beef) and a cheese enchilada. I use these items to compare dishes when I try a new Mexican restaurant. The Picadillo taco tasted very good. The enchilada sauce is excellent. Generous quantities at a reasonable price. Since Nelas has closed in Roseville, Ive been looking for a good replacement for that excellent restaurant. Los Zarapes is the one and Ive eaten at a LOT of Mexican restaurants in the area over the last 45 years. This is one of the best.

My GF and I went here for lunch today. Service was excellent and so was the food. We had the Carnitas Nacho’s which were awesome. The Carnitas was very tender and tasty. We also tried their poppers which were very good as well. Newly opened and they hope to have their Beer/Wine license by the weekend. We will be back. Met the owner wife’s, the hubby is the chef. Looking forward to going back.

Husband enjoyed the Chili Colorado. Chips are great. Enjoyed the delicious and refreshing Margarita. Were definitely going back.
