Our family with 5 of us visited to Ukiah, CA early this month Sept 2023. We dined in The Lotus restaurant and all of us were pleased with the friendly & great service, so delicious foods and awesome Sushi which we did order. The total cost was not expensive at all, only almost $100 for about 5 dishes & 2 Sushi orders. The restaurant is not a big place, but it looks very nice, clean and cozy environment. We strongly & highly recommend this place to everyone.

Food is good, but make sure your food is fully cooked. I ordered grilled yellowtail and it was still uncooked inside. Something else was off too because 20 minutes after I ate I had a very unpleasant experience with my bodily functions.

Had the chicken picatta with pasta. It was delicious! The sauce was flavorful and the chicken was well cooked. The drinks and service were good as well. We sat on the patio, it was chilly, but totally worth it for the food. Sorry for the empty plate photo, but it was so good I couldnt take the time to get a pic before it was gone!

The food was a very large portion. Be sure to bring your appetite. The only down for us, is that they dont serve Coke in their fountain drinks. But the tea was a refreshing change.

Horrible service. She only brought half the table water. Then when asked to bring more water. She disappeared. We ordered off the lunch menu.then she charged us charge us for the regular menu price.We won’t be back.

Food was great but ended up being a lot more expensive than we expected. Over $120 dollars for 3 people is just extreme. Atmosphere is good and service was good. Overall it would be a place to go for something special, but not somewhere to go all the time unless you can afford it.

Wasnt a great experience..they took forever to serve us an there was only 3 other tables there. An then I found hair in my tea and in my food 🤢🤮 we ordered won ton soup 2 orders of sushi an fried calamari an all of this was $70! 😳 even when they seen the hair nothing was taken off of our bill. Definitely wont be eating here again.

Giving more stars than I normally would because the service wasnt bad. The food was not up to par with the 4.2 rating it had though. Im not sure if this area just has lower standards for sushi/hot and sour soup but I wouldnt reccomend this. Slimy ginger, rolls tasted really bland and just off somehow. Fish was okay by itself but rolls fell apart and were difficult to eat. Hot and sour soup was not good. Cups were very dirty, didnt end up drinking more than one sip of water. Also, the smell when you first walk in is a bit alarming. Wish we would have gone somewhere else. Service was definitely good though, I will say that. They made sure we were taken care of and the timing of food delivery and water refills for my boyfriend were constantly on par.

Got the combo chow mein along with happy family and spring rolls...had two small 30/40 sized prawns two one inch square pieces of chicken and two one inch square pieces of beef oin the chow mein combo...wont be going back!

As I walked in, I was impressed by the decor.Service was immediate and accomodating. I wanted vegetables with shrimp. This wasnt on the menu but the owner/waiter/cook said it was no problem. He produced it in astonishing speed, it tasted good, and the price was very reasonable. What more could I ask for?

The food was good . Pork fried rice and the orange chicken were both good but they weren’t filled to the top of the container and the prices are above average if you’re going to use the original Chinese to go container you got to fill to the top . The mongolian beef was a scam and was 1/2 onions and 3/4 full as well . Its like buy a 1/2 ounce at the club and getting 10 grams . Wont be back . Prices too high for 3/4Portions

I thought a 4.3 star restaurant will taste beter. The manager doesnt communicate well, he doesnt know how to introduce his dishes at all, and the meat did not taste like real meat...its thick and hopefully the chow mien only gave us 2 price of tiny meat. Overall it was disappointing.

Was ok. Definitely a different experience. Fried stuff was crispy but the old oil taste wasnt the greatest. Rice was good and so was the hot and sour soup. Want to try their sushi one of these days. Service was good.

If I could give it a zero star I would but thats not even an option... the waitress was super rude, she didnt bring us water or make us feel welcome at all..she kept forgetting our orders...the miso soup was way too salty and not to mention that the restroom was gross !!! I went there with my baby son and my partner and would never go back there ! Awfull experience ...and the place has a very bad odor.

Food was great! Very fast and friendly. Drinks were not chilled verrrryyyy well, and The restaurant was very hot when we arrived, but the staff turned the ac on when they overheard us commenting on the heat. I will definitely visit again. The rainbow roll was my favorite.

I called in my order of broccoli beef, steamed rice and the New York roll. They had it ready by the time they had said it would be ready. The price was reasonable. The food was delicious. I would definitely order from them again.

Very friendly staff/owner, intimate setting, quiet and relaxed.GREAT Chinese and Japanese food - I have never been disappointed by a meal from Lotus; the negative reviews were a shock to me!The tempura is crisp and tasty - never oily. The vegetables used are fresh and flavorful. The meats are never that rubbery tasteless stuff you get at other restaurants - its always great. They have a pretty big vegetarian menu as well; Im a meat-lover and still find myself ordering from their veggie menu!! ALSO they have delicious SUSHI - made in artistic ways by their sushi chef. (AND, Ive never been ill after their food, which is more than I can say about similar establishments in Ukiah...) This restaurant deserves a better review than those that came before mine - I hope this helps you choose where to go for dinner - Im ordering Lotus!! :P

I ordered the orange chicken and the sweet and sour chicken and it was awful. I paid 22 dollars for over fried, dry, and un-mixed with the sauce which was clumped up at the bottom. Sorry lady I really expected better :/

Ive just done take-out from Lotus, but turnaround on my walk-in orders is always fast and the operators are pleasant. Between two Chinese/Japanese menus in town, this is what I would feed guests, and I especially enjoy Lotus spicy sesame chicken.

Yes, it is an inland Sushi / Chinese food place. A strange combo to begin with. I cant speak for the chinese food, and the sushi selection was very mainstream. BUT, well prepared, and most importantly, very fresh. Any very tasty sushi rolls. Dont know how they accomplish the fresh part being where they are, but I commend them for that alone!

Portions are small and just nice for our 2 children below 6, so we ended up going to in and out for the adults. Teriyaki chicken has charred bits all over. You have to keep going to the counter to keep asking for cutleries or refill water.
