The food here is disappointing! I came here after seeing some promising reviews. Realized the reviews were 3-5 years old and not recent. Most of the photos within the review were no longer being served and/or not on the menu.Came here for lunch. The menu selection definitely gotten slimmer. The flavor was bland as f. Ordered the basil fried rice,shrimp pho, and veggie egg rolls. The shrimp in the rice tasted undercooked and underseasoned. The shrimp pho was just sad looking. The egg rolls were mediocre. Maybe the cook was having an off day. Service was pleasant and prompt. The food though....pure disappointment.

I ordered the pork eggrolls to go. They were so very good, crispy and meaty. the service was extremely friendly! I appreciate the quick pickup time and yet my order was still super fresh tasting. The restaurant is gorgeous, absolutely perfect for date night, yet also very reasonably priced. Great job!

TL; DR - modern, quality Vietnamese food in a light and airy setting. New ownership has upped the food quality here.Came here on a Saturday night to grab dinner with friends. The restaurant was buzzing, the servers were all nice and attentive. Parking was a breeze.Ordered crispy egg rolls and marinated chicken wings for appetizers. Both had great flavors and the dipping sauce was nicely fragrant.My friends got the beef pho, combo vermicelli. Great quality, good textures. Can’t speak poorly of these dishes.I got the shaken beef rice dish and another friend got the shaken beef garlic noodle dish. The beef was tender and flavorful, perfectly done. The vegetables were fresh and the picked carrots complemented everything perfectly. The garlic noodles were Al dente and umami perfectly.Overall, it was a delicious meal. Hoping to come back and have a beer at the bar next time with dinner!

Our new favorite Pho spot! 🔥 We enjoy the chicken pho and always order it but this weekend I tried the Shaken Beef and it was sooo good. It’s not extremely filling like a big bowl of Pho so maybe add on an appetizer. We like the Shrimp Spring Rolls.

Outstanding! The rice vermicelli dish with the grilled pork and egg rolls is truly amazing. The restaurant interior has a very light and open feel - clean and simple. A perfect environment for sampling the delicate flavors of Vietnamese cuisine.

The pork sausage spring rolls were incredibly fresh, crisp, crunchy and delicious. The pho special had a great broth, though I felt like the meat was a touch overcooked and chewy. One of the best things in life to me is going to a nice establishment with a nice person serving you with delicious healthy food and that occurred here. Tatiana was soooo sweet! I wanted to tell her manager but he wasnt there and theres no number on Google to call so I got he reads this comment. She was attentive, funny and kind. Love her to bits! The vegan gluten free pho she suggested was definitely scrumptious and healthy. Thank you and Ill be back! 💋

I visited on a Friday night. The service was prompt and cheerful but the food could have been served faster.The beef pho was flavourful and comforting, the pork sausage rolls were well made as well. Iced Vietnamese coffee i ordered reminded me of starbucks but not in a bad way.A good, unpretentious place to come for comfort food.

Not knowing what to expect, I was pleasantly surprised by this restaurant. The egg rolls are crispy and delicious. The Bankok rolls are also great. They come with a cilantro/basil sauce that was very delicious. I had the filet mignon with basil dish. Be warned this is hot! Lots and lots of Thai chilis that will set your mouth ablaze. For dessert my wife had the beignet donuts with ice cream. I had an amazing scoop of mango sticky rice ice cream. It was so good! Overall, good atmosphere, good service, and tasty food.

Cambodian girl review alert! This place is clean and the waiter was friendly. BUT!!!!I was highly disappointed with my oxtail pho. The color is deceiving because it was dark and rich looking, so one would assume the broth is going to be packed with flavor. It was not, not even the large amount fish sauce I dumped in there could make this broth taste good. The oxtail taste so old I didnt even finish the 2 very small pieces they gave me. I left hungry.The pork chop and rice dish came out 20 minutes after I received my pho. Now that had good flavor. It wasnt even busy mind you.So my suggestion would be dont offer oxtail if its something you cant have somewhat fresh. It was nasty. I even made a face. Broth is everything. There are two many southeast restaurants here to have your broth so flavorless. It is okay everyone will eat it. Who doesnt like flavor? Exactly.

Nice little neighborhood spot -- its in a strip mall but good quality and price! Overall decent Vietnamese food, I highly recommend the chicken vermicelli salad, and of course pho. Id steer clear of their fresh summer rolls though -- too much rice noodle and felt overstuffed with imbalanced proportions of ingredients. Service is great in the restaurant - the server was extra attentive to give water even though I was there for takeout/to go only. Check it out!

Great New find; you can see and taste the quality. A simple menu with complex flavors & food that will keep you coming back! Although our server was great everyone came and checked on us. The bartender was mixing Valentines Day concoctions and recruited us to participate in a taste test.The medium-sized room is elegantly decorated. The bathrooms are large and clean. We arrived for an early dinner, the place was mostly empty. By 6:30 every table was full & there were hungry patrons waiting for a seat. Others picked up to-go orders, so people already know about Lotus and Light. I recommend you check it out, and review it for yourself.Parking is ample & next door to Starbucks. You can enjoy some shopping or hit the grocery market a few doors down. I highly recommend the 50/50 beef and pork rice (its not on the menu as 50/50). The meat was so tender and flavorful the sauce included was on point.I had the beef pho my wife had the vegetable tofu. Mine was rich and flavorful I thought hers was a little bland. Overall everything we sampled was fantastic. The service was great. As you can see on receipt, the price is what you would expect. The quality excellent, the space was bright and clean. I give 5 stars with confidence I will be back save me a table!

Food is fresh and flavorful. A little pricier than other similiar vietnamese resturant. It must be because its near toluca lake and the nearby studios. Very consistent with there food. Love how spicy the Filet mignon and chilli rice dish is. My wife had the Vermicelli with grilled beef. She said it was very good. Service is great and attentive.

Nice little restaurant but they were severely understaffed. 1 person working the front by himself looked stressed out and constantly turning customers away.. Food took an hr to come and it was only so-so. The portion was tiny for the price and very plain. Asked for soy sauce twice and waited 30 minutes, never even came. Paid our bills and were completely ignored after that. Took forever to even get to-go boxes.

I liked my meal. If you’re looking for a quick option Lotus and Light is great, they’re friendly and the restaurant is clean and comfortable. Portions are huge. The tofu was a little bland, and the noodle salad I ordered didn’t pack the punch I expected.

I would recommend this place to anybody who likes Vietnamese food (Thai inspired). We tried the fried tofu, it was super light and super savory (fave). Also recommended would be the Bangkok noodle rolls the pho fillet and the Lotus papaya salad. Just as good as their main entrees and starters are their deserts. Try the Banh flan and my personal favorite the tapioca rice pudding. Oh but if youre into super light and fluffy beignets do the Vietnamese coffee over vanilla ice cream is good too. Did I mention they have a variety of soju cocktails? Yeah. They do. Try their version of the East Side.

Tried Lotus and Light for the first time for DineLA Lunch menu for 2.Egg rolls were classic pork eggrolls. Very crispy. 5/5Beef steak fries were crinkle fries with Sriracha mayo, green onions and shredded oxtail meat. The oxtail meat gave the fries an essence of Pho, which elevated it. Fries needed to be much crispier and cooked much longer. 3/5Oxtail pho. Very good and strong flavour. We needed extra limes to lighten it up. You have to ask for the veggies separately. Oxtail were nice small pieces, very tender. 4.5/5Spicy lobster fried rice was 90% rice 7% egg and 3% fried lobster. Flavor was bland and salty . It needed more components like basil, shrimp pieces, carrots, red chiles. It could have been topped with the pickled carrots and daikon, maybe even bean sprouts. It also needed two lime wedges and lots of black pepper. 2.5/5Pandan ice cream was creamy with coconut pieces. Light pandan, more coconut flavor. 5/5.Lotus cake with vanilla ice cream. Came out fresh in a ceramic ramekin Very rich and buttery. The cake is sweeter than expected. I would pay an upcharge to switch the ice cream to taro or pandan. 4.5/5

Went for the first time last night as I didnt want to drive to Chinatown. Well placed move. This place rocks. Ordered the Egg Rolls, Spring Rolls, and the Combination Beef Pho. Crispy rolls, massive Springs with tasty pork, and the Pho broth was spot on. Not too much anise and great flavor. I received excellent service and was treated to a very friendly and entertaining environment. I will definitely be back for more. Bang for your buck for sure, especially when you get that itch for some Pho.

Im biased because Ive been going here for quite a long time but I have to say that the chicken pho is phenomenal and for a while they had a weird issue with a chef not delivering on delicious pho but honestly, especially in the past 3 weeks. Ive gone here about three times because its been cold and Ive just not been feeling as good and this chicken pho is my go to to feel better when Im feeling a little under the weather. My wife loves multiple menu items and shes been more explorative than I have, but everything that shes had she raves about how good it is. I think for what you get its worth going here.

Worst vietnamese food Ive ever had. Spring rolls served with a teaspoon sized portion of peanut sauce and had 3 massive cucumber slices bigger than the shrimp itself. The pho was also a very small portion with a few small pieces of beef, and the broth was unflavored and bland. Its a no for me.

My GF and I decided to go back and try the food again and see if there were any changes. They have definitely made improvements and are still adjusting as they continue trying out new things. We tried the chicken Pho again and this time there was no fatty chicken. It was white chicken breast meat and delicious. The broth was just as it was before and still tasty.We had the egg rolls again and those were just as good as last time. Mmmm.I did order some glazed chicken wings and they were crisp and deliciousThey had a Dine LA menu. I was looking at the included charbroiled spring rolls as they went to other tables and they looked tasty.I will have to try that menu next time. The Dine LA menu is only being served until the 28th of this month.We were able to try out the taro coconut ice cream and that was refreshing and made my GF say OMG!The staff was friendly and they had one waitress that was working hard, but always in a great mood. The restaurant was getting busier, and she was hustling making sure everyone was content.If you want a change from downtown Burbank with the overcrowding, long waits, and want some good Pho/Vietnamese food, then try out Lotus and Light. Extremely good food. The pho broth and ingredients, outstanding. Crispy Tofu app is unlike so many other places. It’s deep friend but the tofu almost “pops” into a crispy light puff. The sauces incredible, the Papaya salad one of the best I’ve had. Summer rolls which are usually sort of bland affair are just lovely, the Thai basil is so fresh it’s the halfway point between basil and mint and adds so much to the flavors.Really wasn’t expecting something so good from a strip mall joint. But I’m a convert now. This is my new pho place.

Used to be my #1 spot for Pho. Their broth is still delicious, but they recently changed their noodles…and frankly they are terrible. They have a very strange taste that completely ruins the dish. Please go back to your old noodles!Update 2/3/22:I am very happy to update that they have in fact gone back to their original noodles and my favorite pho is back in rotation! Delicious rich broth, good rice noodles…we order from them almost once a week. Their charbroiled pork and cha goo are also big favorites of ours.

This place rocks. My family planned a 90th birthday party here for my father as a surprise and to quote him, it was “the best day of my life”. The restaurant sat down with us, helped plan the menu for 25 people, including a few special requests like vegan and gluten free options. The food was awesome. Everybody loved it. My father and I were in the area and we thought wed come to check this place out. If Im not mistaken, they just opened. The owner and staff here at Lotus & Light are nice and attentive. We ordered the spring rolls and egg rolls, and pho. The spring roll was refreshing and had a good snap. The egg rolls had a great crispy crunch without being too oily. The pho broth had a lot of flavor. Definitely worth coming by if you enjoy great service and amazing food!

We stumbled upon Lotus-and-light on our visit to LA. We were driving back from Santa Monica to Anaheim and visited this restaurant for dinner. This was unarguably the best pho we ever had. I have had Pho at many different places in Seattle.This place was a wholesome experience. Friendly staff, pleasant ambience and yummy food made it great.I would make an attempt to visit it during my next trip to LA.

They had a very bad attitude and were taking wayy too long. Service is also bad and i dont think the food was very good. There was 3 people eating there and 2 of them were the workers.
