Ive been going to this place for many many years(at least 40 maybe more) and their food lately has been terrible(over the last year). They used to be amazing and when I moved from Covina to Rancho Cucamonga 35 yrs ago, I would still drive there because they were the best. Now, their rice is dried out and not as tasty. Their barbecued pork tasted OLD, and nothing tastes the same. I guess Ill save gas now cuz its definitely not worth the drive anymore.
My two favorite dishes here are the Pork Noodle Soup and the Shrimp Fried Rice. The food quality and taste is good. Their big servings of food, make it worth the price. I’ve been eating at this location since 1990.

We came here for Dinner. Excellent Customer Service. If you haven’t tired or heard of paper wrap chicken please try it. I never had chicken that tasted so good. It’s a appetizer. Sometimes you can add it to your meal. I tired Dinner D everything was fresh and hot. I topped everything off off with a ice tea. Very clean inside.
The honey walnut shrimp is so yummy, also sweet and sour pork with chicken chow mein delicious
First time at this restaurant, although my wife would frequently come here years ago. Food was very good, reasonable prices friendly service and did not have a long wait for food to arrive. I had the Shrimp and Lobster Sauce over steamed rice... delicious!

Another fine dinner from Lotus Garden! Been coming here for years and continued to support them with orders during the pandemic. Food is always excellent with consistent quality and generous portions. So glad they survived the pandemic and hope they will be around for many years to come!
Best Chinese restaurant Ive been too!!! The food, the service, the interior design, and the laid back ambience. If it had a 10 star option, I would give it a 10/10 Im gonna eat here more often!
What happened to lotus garden? On a scale of 1to 10 it has gone from a 9 to a 2 in my opinion. The BBQ fried rice was dry and stale and the lo mein didnt taste the same.
My family has been going to Lotus Garden for the better part of 30-40 years, since my dad was a kid, and we were lucky enough for it to still be open once he was married with kids, and he took us there.My favorite food in the world is from this restaurant, its their egg flour soup.Im so glad theyre still open and around. If you have never been to THIS Lotus Garden, you are missing out. Huge portions, good prices, amazing food, friendly and quick service, what else could you ask for? Give this place a try, you seriously wont regret it.
Honestly, not the same place as it once was. We were customers from way back in the 70s and 80s but the original owners dont have it anymore. They once were the best Chinese food around but, not so much anymore. I miss their one of a kind eggrolls, paper chicken, chicken chow mein and their egg fried rice. It was always hot and fresh. The lines were always out the door every time we went. Wish the new owners had the same recipes and style of cooking. I guess nothing lasts forever, right??!
Their food is all very tasty, but my favorite is the chicken fried rice plate. I havent be able to find another Chinese restaurant that makes it this good. Dont be fooled by their outdated diner. They have lunch specials (see the pictures on my review). Good eating! Enjoy and Stay Classy!!
They have THE BEST Egg Foo Young. Crispy, with the greatest sauce ever. Also had the Beef Chow Fun - Awesome! Living in Orange County makes it a days journey, but it also means tasty leftovers. 😊
2016: My favorite fried rice place. The orange chicken is good too. I wouldnt wanna go there for a date because the restaurant is kinda run down but its good food for cheap. Good for take out.
The people are very nice to start on a positive note. However, the food was left for something more. The fried rice was drizzled in soy sauce and thats all, no peas, carrots, egg, nothing! Ive never been served fried rice this way. The egg foo young had a thick gravy on it that tasted like it was slopped on from a can. The chop suey was wilted and had bean sprouts and small slivers of meat, again nothing else. The pork spare ribs tasted hard and chewy and were warmed in a microwave because they were tough to eat, normally these fall apart when you bit into them. Im sorry, I will never go back to this establishment again. It is obvious they are trying to make a profit by serving poorly prepared food with lacking ingredients and if this doesnt change soon, you can rest assured they will have to shut their doors. Very sad meal and it was not cheap. =(
Ordered to go last Wednesday Aug 17, 2016Fried rice, crispy noodles, crispy chicken and Mongolian beef all for $49.76. Unfortunately food were not good. We ate and tasted but thrown this away. Felt bad. Wasted food and money for this!Never again in this restaurant!
Have been eating here since the early 80s & (though a bit pricy) have always loved it!... UNTIL THE PAST YEAR give or take. They say they havent changed ownership but I recognize none of the workers. Ive eaten here about 8 times the past year & food is now TERRIBLE! I miss the old cook and recipes. My wanton soup was served to me (3 out of the 8 times) raw raw raw veggies and wontons in hot water. No flavor! Gross! Im finished and will never spend another dime on this place.
I LOVE this place my family and I have been going there For over 20yrs. The owner is super friendly. The food is AMAZING! I live in the ie now and will do the 45 min drive just for that awesome food. 🙏🏼
We just tried this place today for the first time. The food was fresh and really good. We had Kung Pao Shrimp, Chow Mein, and Scallion chicken. The service was great and so was the food. We would definitely go back.
Have been eating at lotus garden resturant for 20 yrs.plus dont live in my home town of Azusa any more but come back to visit my family & every chance I get I make sure I stop by lotus garden to eat my favorite yummy best all around Chinese food the owners & staff are the most Amazing, kindest sweetest people they are what makes their food the very Best!!

I took my family to a lunch here for Mother’s Day Celebration. We had Mongolian Beef, Honey Walnut Shrimp, Kung Pao Chicken and Tangerine Beef. The Honey Walnut Shrimp is to die for. In addition, the price is reasonable and everyone enjoyed the food. We’ll definitely be back.
I have been eating here since I was a teenager which is over 40 years ago. I eat here every chance I get even though I no longer live on the area. The food is delicious and the service is excellent.
Pork eggrolls used to be twice the size they are now, there was hardly any filling in them anymore, all you taste is the fried outside wrapper.
The service was bad when we went on Saturday, they brought out the food out one at a time, by the time we got everything, orange chicken was cold, and we ordered soup, that came out last, it was subpose to be the first too come out, foods good bad service.
The quantity of food has gotten smaller and smaller, and the prices keep going up every time we go. We wont be returning there anymore. My husband picked up the food, and cashier attitude went south when she noticed he didnt leave a gratuity
This place is not a four star it’s all a lie. I ordered kunpua chicken and they burned the hot peppers in it there egg rolls taste like they been sitting in the freezer for years if you see my plate you can see all the burnt red peppers. And when I got home not good 2days with the runs......DO NOT GO TO THAT PLACE YOU WILL REGRET ITNO STAR inoder to post this we have to at least put a start but I want my star back google not kool
Met this man 8yrs ago when living in Pasadena bragging how good the food is. I was spoiled going to Wangs on Walnut. It set a presidence for Chinese food. Lotus Garden offers a full menu, including soups and other variety of tasty dishes. I love it!. Cant find any better. Now living in San Dimas, its still worth the trek. Kind friendly services where you can go casually dressed. Yum! Just came back and I feel like a fat cat!
Pork fried rice was delicious but had very little pork but great tasting food
Got some take out last night. It was just ok. The fried rice was white rice with soy sauce, no egg, no veggies or green onion. Orange chicken was dry and hard . Not happy.
I dont understand what the hype is about...wor wonton soup was good but the beef broccoli was bland and the kung pao chicken did not look or taste like chicken....always scares the crap out of me. The carpet is almost black from foot traffic. Staff is friendly but Im not eating them.

2023-10-16 02:03:20This place is one of my favorite restaurants. This was a frequent place to go when I was a kid. Im so happy to see its still going strong! This is a mandatory stop whenever I visit home. I have dreams about their egg foo Yung. Ive never eaten anything even close to them.

2018-12-07 07:07:19I have been eating here since 1975 and of course the ownership has changed. But the food is always consistently delicious. My favorite dishes are egg foo young with brown gravy and shrimp fried rice. Food is always flavorful with great colors and presentation for the palette. Only complaint I have is that I dont know if its the hot yellow spicy mustard or the air conditioner is not working to good. Because I was sweating like a mad man 😓😂👍😁

I suggest you find somewhere else to eat because that place will make you broke and it was terrible. And dont worry about leaving a top they add that in for you when they dont even deserve it.

2023-04-01 14:00:21I grew up going to this restaurant. Its been there at least 40 years now. The food remains consistent and good. Of course, prices have risen with the times, but it is still good value for your money. Lotus Garden has the very BEST pork egg rolls I have ever had in my life--the kind I dream about, long for, and will drive miles to get. In 50+ years, I have never found a better tasting egg roll!

EXCELLENT fried rice! Duck (and I dont even like duck, first time I tried it)String Bean Chicken, yummi!Im glad they are still around (since 62) and Covid did not break them. Hubby has been going here since he was a kid in the 70s. we even met another customer that also was going there since he was a kid. Theyve definitely earned their longevity. the atmosphere is cozy, neat, and homey. Real authentic family Chinese food, not some franchise restaurant- which we hate!service was fast and they were kind. You must check this place out when you are in town! it trulywas one of the highlights of our stay!
