Great place to get some vegan food. Hadn’t been here in a year and it looks like the inside and menu have been redone. The atmosphere is clean and relaxed with light music in the background. The flavors of the food are delicious, and good sized portions. If you’re in the mood for something fresh and want to try veggie alternatives give this place a try. Good place if you want to start eating vegan or are already vegan.

Loving Hut has became our family’s favorite vegan restaurant!I’ve tried many vegan restaurants in SD throughout the years but was never impressed by the quality or taste. Loving Hut has changed my mind about vegan food and how amazing it can taste.I have introduced m any my meat-loving friends here and they’re always telling me how impressed they are with the vegan dishes here.Our favorites are:- garlic noodles with cha cha shrimp- pad Thai noodles- garlic fried rice- lemongrass chicken- Thai iced tea

This is our 3rd time at this location and were never disappointed with the food, service and atmosphere.Theyre quite a busy location even midday late noon to early evening. But they are quick with their service. We usually go around 1-3pm and only have to wait 10-15 minutes for our food.The impossible BBQ noodles are so good, you cant go wrong, as well at the Cha Cha fried rice, nice and spicy with delicious shrimp. Entire place is plant based, and the joy is each loving hut has a different menu, so its always a treat to go somewhere new.The servers are always friendly and welcoming. The place is very clean and not overly decorated which keeps it refreshing. Well definitely be back again many more times in the future.

Such great food. Try the pho pad Thai and the cookie. Such great flavors and taste! The chef knows how to prepare wonderful tasting food.I had such a great time talking with the owner while I ate and she really takes pride in her business and her team. Nice remodel too! Highly recommend.

Loving Hut is one of my all-time favorite vegan chains and this location is no exception. The food was absolutely delicious, I have always liked everything that I have ever ordered on their menu. The Pho is amazing. I loved their spring rolls as well. The employees were very nice and helpful. If you are vegan or love pho, you have to try this place.

It is so hard to do vegan and Asian cuisine without being stuck with tofu... Loving Hut has nailed it though... Flavors on point texture is on point. Theyve knocked it out of the park!The chicken substitute used on the lemongrass was incredible and maintained the Asian flavor without sacrificing texture.The fried rice, Ive had vegetarian but never vegan... Again, they got the flavor and texture down solid.Now Ive buried the lead. The egg rolls were unbelievable. Both the fried and the steamed are probably some of the best Ive had vegan and non-vegan. (Ate them before I realized I didnt have a picture)

San Diego has great vegan/vegetarian restaurants and that includes this one which is a vegan take-out and dine-in space. I had take-out today, Feb 2022 and it was really beautiful. The place isn’t bad looking, quite fresh and seems really clean. The front staff was efficient and well mannered. I would definitely go again, without hesitation. Parking was alright, I went just after lunch and found a space without trouble. Basically, it’s a parking lot shared by multiple stores and a laundromat. Enjoy if you go!

Wow! My first time visiting this restaurant and the whole vibe blew me away. Very calming and beautiful atmosphere. Staff was personable and helpful. And the food...oh my goddess! This food was outstanding! Colorful and bright, tasty and so filling, prepared to perfection. I am already studying the menu for me next visit. We ordered for pho thaiC chicken sandwich and lucky chowmein.. very sweet and lacked flavour. Not good for vegetarians who’ve never tried meat cause it looked too beefy and repulsive to us as 100% vegetarians. At every morsel it tasted like meat and that’s not a good idea for someone who’s never tried meat before. I wish vegan didn’t have to imitate or replicate every meaty dish.

Got some beef noodle thing which was pretty damn good, was some pretty great vegan beef. Only thing that threw me off was that this place was advertised as Saigon grill, so I was pretty confused to find out it was actually loving hut when I pulled up. Food is great though and the sauce they give you with the spring rolls is A1!!!

You order from the counter and your meal is delivered to your table.*Phone orders, carryouts, and deliveries are available.The sparklingly clean North Park location is decorated mid-century modern, with a giant TV screen displaying beautiful videos of planet earth. There are comfortable tables and chairs.The menu is a mix of Asian and American entrees. I went Asian and ordered the Impossible Crispy Rolls and the Fabulous Mongolian.The deep-fried Crispy Rolls are wrapped in a paper thin crust and generously stuffed with vegetables and soy meat, served with a sweet, shredded, radish and carrot sauce. The Fabulous Mongolian is a stir-fry with soy beef, onions, peppers and bamboo. It is served with a brown (or white) rice ball. The appetizer and entree were both flavorful and filling. Loving Hut is a vegan restaurant with an Asian fusion menu that features many mock meats.I ordered the impossible BBQ noodles, which is a vegan Vietnamese vermicelli salad with impossible beef strips and spring rolls. It was extremely good, but I would recommend ordering the impossible beef crispy rolls appetizer as there werent many spring roll pieces in the noodle dish.They also have vegan marshmallow cookies!

Poor service. Im very disappointed. It will not be a place I will frequent again.My 4 year old sister and I were walking back from pride, she had juice and a snack. I saw Loving Hut and I thought it was a great idea to go eat there since we are vegan. We walked in and sat at the table. The place had quite a few people. I was looking forward to choosing what we were going to eat until the girl at the register said very loudly that we couldnt eat the snacks. We werent eating, we were just looking at the menu. The girl spoke so loudly that everyone in the restaurant stopped to stare at us. She was super rude and I was really embarrassed that Id rather leave. The girl was ironic and said “thank you, have a great day!”.

I was so excited about this place! I ordered the drumsticks, the clay pot, and a Thai tea. The drumsticks had ZERO flavor! Instead of a thick, meaty interior, you got a drumstick shaped crunchy shell with a bit of unseasoned shredded mushrooms inside. Without the soy dipping sauce this would have been a complete fail.The clay pot was decent. Good enough that I wasnt upset that Id ordered it, not so good that Id order it again.The Thai tea tasted like it had been made with regular milk instead of sweetened and really fell flat. Three items, three strikes. I wouldnt go back.

Two of us showed up and ordered. We then asked if we could put two tables together as we had a few friends that were also coming to eat there. The woman that had taken our order then became extremely hostile and said she was refunding us, claiming that we’d all have to order on the same bill and be charged a mandatory 20% gratuity. So we said nevermind we can sit separately. She then became even more rude and loudly told us that this was the only rule they had and that if we didn’t like it we could leave, claiming that this was the only way they could pay their employees a living wage. It seems asinine that they would force us to order on the same bill and charge a mandatory gratuity at a counter-serve establishment with no waiters simply for wanting to sit with our friends, and then berating us publicly when we offered to sit separately. We were happy to take the $200+ we and our friends would’ve spent there (which could’ve been used to pay their employees a living wage) elsewhere. There was no love in this loving hut and this location is a disgrace to the brand.

It was an amazing surprise. My wife and I went there on recommendation My wife and I came to this place on recommendation. We wanted vegetarian but thought we might try vegan as well. I should stress that we both love our big piece of meat, but enjoy trying new things. Seriously! The best place we have eaten in the last few months!! We loved every single bite. The servers were friendly, the food hot and simply exquisite! Id never have thought tofu can be so tasty.We had Tofu with coconut and Lucky Mongol - a veggy fillet served with sauce. We dont like brown rice, but this one was cooked to perfection. The salad accompanying both dishes was fresh and delicious; Absolute highlight the fresh herbs dressing accompanying it. We were curious about vegan cakes and asked for a piece of pandan cake and another of chocolate cake to go. Well... They arent anything to write home about once you tried some truly delicious non-vegan desserts. We do recommend the chocolate one though, if anyones out for something sweet.We would have given the place gazilion stars but are giving only 4 because all the food except for rice and water was really very sweet. Were trying to cut down on sugar and actually havent been using it for a few months now at all, so the amount served was way to big. Anyway, we certaily are comming back on our next visit to San Diego.

If you havent tried Loving Hut in North Park, you are missing out! I went here today for the first time. I had been to the Mira Mesa Loving Hut but apparently they are not related.I ordered the Bean Gardein Burrito and opted for a side salad instead of fries. I also ordered the strawberry cheesecake. While I waited for my order, I tried their new Garlic Noodles and Pink Lemonade. They were both so delicious! The noodles were thick and the garlic flavor was intense without being overwhelming. The pink lemonade was sweet and satisfying.When I got home, I dove right in! The burrito is incredibly yummy - the Gardein beef has a sweet sauce on it that gives the burrito a delicious, slightly Asian twist. The strawberry cheesecake is TO DIE FOR! It is sweet and dense and absolutely amazing. Oh, and VEGAN! Everything is vegan! Their other dessert options are carrot cake and an incredibly decadent looking chocolate mousse cake. I will try both at a later date.To say I am elated is an understatement. The food is delicious and the dessert........ lawdy! You absolutely must try it. Even if you are not vegan. ♡

Delicious spot for vegan eats. Had no servers when I went though, its counter service only. Kinda sucks because the food is full restaurant price. The appetizer we got was surprisingly small for the price but the entrees were big plates thankfully.Of course theres also the cult aspect of this place. Its mainly just the TV channel set to a broadcast from The Grand Master. Whoever that is. Frankly I enjoy places that have that element of mystery to them.Bottom line: full priced food but delicious, just dont expect to be waited on.

I really wanted to like this place and I feel like people should support vegan restaurants. However, the food here is absolutely terrible. The garlic noodles were way too salty and had an odd flavor. There was hard pieces of garlic, maybe the end pieces in there that I had to spit out to avoid breaking my tooth. The chow mein just tasted like ginger and cilantro. The vibe I got was that its someone with no culinary training whatsoever who has not traveled or tried Asian cuisine in Asia. They are the ones cooking and they are just going with it what they think may taste good.Unfortunately, the food is very bad.

My favorite vegan restaurant. I found my first one in Elk Grove (Sacramento), then in Toronto on vacation. What a wonderful surprise! There are two here in San Diego that I know of. Its Asian food, though Im not sure if thats an accurate moniker for it. In any event, Ive never had a bad meal at a Loving Hut. This location in North Park has a Blissful Pho that feeds my soul as well as nourishes my body. I always feel welcomed by the employees who are excited about the food they serve and I also leave feeling calm and peaceful. I cant speak highly enough of this restaurant.

A friend recommended this place but Im not a vegan. This place sells fake meat. I dont mind eating a plate full of vegetables tossed in Mongolian sauce but they used this fake chicken which had a weird texture. I wasnt a fan. And the server kept referring to it as chicken. He should say like fake chicken or beyond chicken. The garlic noodles were the best but I didnt like that fake cha cha shrimp. Again the texture is weird and gummy. I couldnt enjoy it not knowing what I was eating. Like what are all those fake meats made of? I dont miss meat to eat fake meat bc I dont deny myself the pleasures of eating real meat. Im new at eating here. The food is pretty good. The burger is the best vegan burger Ive ever eaten. I get the steamed veggies with it. Sometimes the veggies are not all the way done and not always hot(more like warm). But do the burger youll live it. The employees are pretty helpful and mostly nice. There is a girl whos been there a while who takes any criticism personal so be cautious. She tells you what you said instead of just listening to what your unhappy or would like to fix. Other than that I love trying the food here and recommend you try it.

If you’re dining in, you order your food at the counter and then sit or you can order and pay from your phone. No ones comes to check on you after you get your food. So no refills on your water. They’ve lost that magic that used to make them so special. The ambiance inside just felt like you were eating at a chain. It was HOT, didn’t feel like the AC was on. I was pointing out that you are paying 2 employees to sit at the counter and chit chat when you could be using them to provide the same amazing sit down dine in experience you have in the past. Dont just sit and expect to be waited on right away. The guy at the counter was very courteous and polite and patient. My husband who I dragged here love the cheese wontons. Recent change of ownership/management.It’s unfortunate because the food doesn’t taste the same as before.I ordered a spicy cha cha (it had no flavor and only tasted of tapioca), the Thai tea was watered down (you can tell they use the powder vs. making the actual tea as before) AND they’ve discontinued the yummy desserts INDEFINITELY. :(Lastly the service was below average. This place is a must!! Great vegan food. Great prices and great atmosphere!! Staff is super friendly and very attentive. Very clean and plenty of seating. Have tried the Cha-Cha Tacos, Heavenly salad, Bun Hue soup. All are delish and packed with lots of flavor. Wait time to pick up order is usually about 10-15 mins. Not bad at all.

Highly recommended, even if you are not vegetarian or vegan you will like it.My wife and I have been going here since theyve opened and weve order the same dish every time, because it is so good, and we are creatures of habit.The Lucky Chow Mein is awesome, the noodles are not soft and mushy like normal chow mein noodles, they have an al dente snap to them, which pairs excellently with the sauce and the vegetables.We also get the Spicy Cha Cha, which isnt really all the spicy, but is made with unique battered and fried Soy Shrimp. Im not a huge fried real shrimp guy, but these taste great.Portion sizes are huge, and with it only be $1 more to get the larger size you can take the leftovers home for a second meal.Prices are extremely reasonable. Most of the entrees are in the $5-8 range and can easily be shared between two people especially if you get the larger size. Drinks are around $2-4 and they are handmade smoothies, cooler drinks and fresh juices.As mentioned in other reviews there is a lot of Supreme Master propaganda which you can tune out if youd like. I have to give them credit for being up-front about their mission statement rather than sneaky about it.The restaurant is crazy clean inside. I feel like I could probably eat off the floor and not get ill. I think the extreme white inside has something to do with it.My only suggestion would be that they stay open later -- they close at 9pm and are also closed on Sundays. My wife and I always seem to get there 15 minutes before closing, and they are very accommodating of us.

International franchise of vegetarian restaurants with varying menus. Its difficult for me to be objective about this particular site because during my visits they always had videos of their supreme master playing and this tends to make me lose my appetite. The food is decent but tends to be bland. I prefer other nearby restaurants but my wife does like their wonton soup.

I accidentally stumbled upon this place years ago and have sent much business its way ever since. At first I was amused and curious about the never ending broadcast of environmental teachings from an Asian televangelist, but I read through their complimentary newsletter and learned that I agree with the mentality behind eliminating animal products. Although I am still not strictly a vegetarian, I am headed that way. The Loving Hut makes it easy for anyone to consider substituting a meal with meat with a healthier choice. Although they have a vast menu of all vegetarian items, I always order the same meal every time I go because I just like it so much. Their coco-tofu is perfectly cooked and seasoned, and served with a heap of brown rice is just perfect. I also really enjoy their iced cappuccinos, which make a great addition to the meal or refreshing on their own. Their veggie, rice and noodle platters to-go are great for hosting friends at home when you want to serve vegan options family style.

I got what was a supposed to be the clay pot it was put in a container it’s leaked all over my other food in including my cake and literally had no vegetables just a bunch of rice and meat substitute and sauce. The only reason I came to this location was because the Mira Mesa one was closed. Just wanted to eat something good before work and this was basically inedible.

Really like this place, affordable healthy food, but now that I cant eat soy or gluten its challenging navigation get their menu. Im still stumped as to why they dont have a gf sauce! You have to have no sauce on many dishes to avoid the gluten and its rather dry and boring without the sauce. Please add GF sauce - I would be there so much more!

Well I have been coming to this restaurant for a very long time but lately I have experienced that some preparations tasted old and even spoiled.Some times they used old vegetables or spoiled/rotten soy for making some preparations. But they don’t seems to be taken the complaints seriously.Today, I can taste that something was spoiled but couldn’t identify what it is until I bit into this unusual piece of soy that was not even supposed to be in the dish I ordered.Spoke to the waitress and the cashier and their response was (they will talk to the cook)OMG I couldn’t believe that they did not even apologize for spoiled/rotten dish they servedOverall the quality is very poor and unhealthyVery dissatisfied. Maybe I should report this to the health department

Great vegan place, and the best Ive tried in the Loving Hut chain (including NYC, Worcester, and a couple others.) I dont know that the foods particularly healthy, but it is delicious. The weird promo videos for Ching Hais cul...err, organization are more entertaining than disturbing. The staff are always friendly and attentive.

The food is typically good here. Unfortunately I received an uncooked take out order of noodles and when I made management aware, they were short, unapologetic and unwilling to resolve the issue. The last words from the manager on the phone was, ‘I dont have time to help you’. The cdtomer serivce is poor. If you choose to eat here, order take out and leave AFTER YOU CHECK YOUR FOOD!

Great vegan food, many meat like dishes, more asian themed selections, but decent vegi burger, etc. Good drinks - thai tea, mango tango smoothie, teas, etc. Service can be slow, and they have several propaganda TVs (which I find annoying, but my daughter thinks is funny), and parking can be tough. Still worth it.

The food here is so delicious. Im not vegan. I go here once a week. I have my husband and kids hooked on this place. The staff is friendly and the restaurant is super clean.
