Coming to California to visit Monterey bay I never thought a place that wasn’t sea food would end up being one of my favorite spots for dinner. Service is so friendly! Seems to be family owned. There is both inside and outside seating. Such a fun environment and the food is so tasty! We ordered the Ollie’s tots, grom dogs and the lovers point dog! And you have to get Lucy’s sauce!

I love this spot with outdoor seating. Must be a family place because the service are kids. They are great.We ordered the Ollie tots 5/5, hibiscus and tea 3/5.I wish it was open later. Seems like a great place to have a beer or wine and some live music.

The 2 workers i met this morning (Sunday, 5/28), were fabulous! Enjoyed their friendliness, knowledge and suggestions.The bacon burrito tasted yummy!!The ice cream was great, not icy, was very creamy and tasted 💋👌!!!Definitely will stop here again!!!

If you dont like hotdogs dont bother. The menu revolves around the second-best food item, (Bacon is first, and available on a lot of the dogs.)I had a Ghost Tree dog with Tater tots, chili, and nacho cheese.My wife had a Lovers Point dog with bacon guacamole and various vegies.The service was excellent as was the food. We ate outdoors in a nice patio.Apparently, there is a veggie dog available, but I ask why would you go to a hotdog place and not eat the real thing?

Excellent juicy, tasty hot dogs. They were perfectly cooked but thicker than a usual hot dog, more like a dinner frank. Tots were crispy and tender. Wife enjoyed the Brussels sprouts (I’m not a fan of any Brussels sprouts). We will definitely be back to try a shake and a beer next time.

My husband and I have been coming to Pacific Grove/Monterey/Carmel area for over 25 years. I cant belive we never stopped at Lucys before. The food is amazing, the atmosphere funky and laid back, and the staff is super friendly. Dogs are welcome. An absolute gem.

Fun place in PG for unique hot dogs and treats! The hot dogs are pretty big and very good. We got a side of the balsamic Brussel sprouts, also good. We played corn hole while we jammed to the 80s rock they were playing.

OMG this place is BOMB. Me and my super picky kids ended up going here twice in one day. Im still having dreams about their brussel sprouts 2 weeks later. The kids got corn dogs which they said are the BEST theyve ever had. I got a chili dog (omg so good, none of those beans messing with you just a proper texas chili, meat, tomatoes spices thats it). I have put this on my google maps to return to anytime Im in Monterey.

The food came quickly, tasted great, and we had great service. They have a cute outdoor setup for outdoor dining so we rode our bikes and sat outside. They also had heat lamps in case we were cold. It’s kinda pricey but it’s worth it for sure. I really recommend:)

Cant remember the name, but the sausage breakfast burrito was amazing! I especially enjoyed the salsa it was served with, very unique flavor. The Mermaid Mimosa was good, but I dont really need sorbet in my mimosas, I will ask for a regular one next time. The service and atmosphere was great.

Even though I live across the street, this place isnt for me. I just cant justify paying a significant markup for a Nathans hot dog and tots. Went once, probably wont return unless they make more of their food in-house.Most of the bands that play at Lucys are catered towards older crowd, which makes sense given the demographics of the area. To put it into perspective, I think Ive heard 10 different versions of Black Magic Woman. The music is loud enough that I can enjoy it from my apartment...but that also means every weekend is a rock/blues concert which can get annoying because the quality of bands can vary.Overall, its a great place to hear some live music and unique hot dog combinations...just not for me.

We visited the place on a saturday afternoon, it had customers but was not crowded. We sat outside on the sun, which was very pleasant. We ordered a hotdog and a pulled pork meal, totally paid around 30 usd. Overall the place is very charming and charismatic. Be ready that this is a fast food place, forget about healthy food here, even though they have a vegetarian sausage option :)))

I got a vanilla milkshake and a hot dog with *mac and cheese* on top. Stopped here after going diving in Monterey with a friend. It certainly isnt an every-day meal but a well-deserved treat. Lots of outdoor seating, gender neutral restrooms (I thought the sign was funny), and a fun skater theme. We also met the owner and she was very friendly. Her name is not Lucy though, Lucy is her dog.

Brought here by an in-law who doesnt know that I dont like hot dogs. I cant fault the restaurant for that. I looked for alternatives and found tater tots. Trying to eat healthy so kept looking and was happy I found Brussel sprouts. Hubby ordered while I saved a table so I didnt ask questions... like, how long do you keep those beautiful little veggies deep in the fryer to remove any resemblance of a Brussel sprout? :-(I ended up picking them apart to find small pieces in the center of some that were not crisp beyond recognition. Id ordered chili also for some form of protein and found little chunks of hot dogs in it. Yuck!Now, the rest of the family chowed down loved the food and had a great time but, if you want to eat even semi-healthy, I Do Not recommend this place.

My wife and I were headed to a Starbucks when my wife spied a cool, local cafe across the street. We were just going to get drinks but found a huge menu of hot dog and tater tots derivations. My wife and I ordered lavender honey lattes and a tater tot dish with pulled pork, furikake and a special sauce. Omg so good! The latte was delicious and the tater tots were so yummy. What a great idea to top tater tots with different toppings like chili or pulled pork. Check out their menu to see all the yummy choices. Lucy’s also has a ton of hot dog menu choices as well. The service was prompt and pleasant. I would recommend this place passing through Asilomar.

First time here today and it was amazing! I had the boneyards, Ollie, and latte. It was all delicious.They also had a live band, Kindred Soul, (amazing band) which contributed to the relaxing and fun atmosphere. Will definitely be back.

We are visiting from out of state and our local friends kept telling us that we needed to go get Brussel Sprouts at Lucy’s. Glad we listened! The roasted sprouts are exceptionally delicious, the Tater Tots are offered with a variety of tasty toppings, the coleslaw is yummy, and….you can finish up with an ice cream treat. Everything was fantastic. The proprietor was friendly and welcoming, the staff was efficient, and the outdoor patio dining area is dog friendly and offers games for young visitors. Highly recommend. :)

Great atmosphere and I love the vibe it has. I had the Peaks Dog, the roasted brussel sprouts, and a mermaid mimosa. I also tried a scoop of the chiquita ice cream. It was sooooo good. I didnt like the bun, it did a poor job at holding everything in. I sadly lost my hot dog due to that. However, the rest of the toppings were so good, I only missed the dog a little.

The hot dogs were decent- the bun couldn’t hold up to everything piled on the dog plus the dog itself was more like a brat, but instead of being grilled it was boiled…not my fave. I prefer my hot dogs “snappier”. The chili on the dog, tots & lemonade was great. Next time, I’ll probably get a hot dog that’s simpler (had a chili cheese monstrosity), so it’s not so much going on at once.

This is a new venue that is basically beer and hot dogs. There are some smoothies, I think it was or fruit drinks and other menu items. Hot dogs were the ticket. I love this place. Their dogs are delicious and the kraut is tasty with enough crispness. And speaking of that their tater tots are perfectly cooked, with yummy Lucys sauce to dip in. Ive not tried the ones with chili and such because the hot dogs are so loaded, i like plainer tots to balance. Local sparkys root beer is delicious in a float (though the ice cream did have some ice in it). The illys espresso was good in my mocha, but i had to wait a long time for the milk to cool to a drinkable temperature. The people are nice, i like the music selection. Next time i will try their Polish dogs. Looking forward to it!

Great vibe to this place. Nice staff, very clean and the music was really good. The menu offers a lot of choices and features Nathans dinner size hot dogs. I had the Reefs which came with house made chili, slaw and Tabasco onion strings. Really liked it and the bun was great but didnt hold together well because of the chili and slaw. Forks and knives at the table. One suggestion. Offer a low sodium dog. Everything a bit salty. Otherwise, 5 stars.

This place is a blast! The environment is great, with even live music or just some 80s-90s hits on the background. There is a terrace with tables and heaters and the vibe with the boards is cool. The service is very friendly, fast and kind and the food is delicious with many options and a fair price. Good choice of beers, ice cream and meat/potatos, mainly hot dogs and side dishes, for a fair price. We had one hot dog, tots as side and a mimosa with pomegrante ice cream and we were so delighted. Great setup with amazing atmosphere, surfer and skater themed with ska music playing in the background. Lucy was very nice and bubbly and more than willing to make her customers happy. The menu might sound a bit dull being hotdogs and tater tots but with her imagination on how to bring new flavors to old standards was a highlight to PG experience. I highly recommend this amazing local joint to anyone looking for a new and delicious take on what might be considered standard fair. Oh and the ice cream is heavenly as well. This place is epic! My wife and I come to PG a couple times per year because of how much we love it here and this place just took it up another notch. Best hot dogs on the planet, fantastic chowder that comes with the best cheese bread Ive ever had, and the fact that they have coffee available in the morning is icing on the cake. It also has a rad skate/surf/punk vibe. A must try.

Came here for outdoor seating amid COVID-19. Great atmosphere to the place, especially for families. Good location & decorations with vintage surfboards, skateboards, and 70s music playing. Hot dogs were good, but I am rating 3 stars because I wish they had more variety to the menu. Pizza, burgers, chicken strips, etc. would give people who dont like hot dogs a chance to enjoy a meal at this place! Menu also is a little overpriced: $10 or more for a hot dog and $5 for a coffee.

We live nearby and eat here regularly.Some days we are here early for coffee and breakfast burritos, meeting friends at a safe distance on the great outdoor patio. Other days we come at lunch and enjoy crisp corn dogs, or the award winning clam chowder special, or the amazing selection of topped dogs and totals. I always stay in pacific groove, and usually head towards the warm for food, but I couldnt resist trying this place because of the stars by other members, at first I wasnt sure because there was no one there at the time. Upon entering you soon notice that this place has embraced a culture of California and made it truly one of a kind. The food was probably the most simple ingredients yet so creative make your taste buds happy. Was cold out because of Covid-19 but they had heaters, they even have coffee, no ice cream this day, but they got it. If I was a millionaire I totally would try to buy a franchise of this place. Upon 5 min into our eat, the place got packed. They got my order wrong offered to credit the extra food. But I was like nope ill be happy to buy another. My favorite was the peeks, but destroying the other food next time. This place needs to spread across California.

This place is excellent.I stayed in Pacific Grove over a 3 day weekend. I visited Lucys 4 times.Their ice cream and shakes are amazing. The coffee is quite good as well.However, it was the friendly staff that I appreciated the most. Morning or night everyone was courteous and gave off the vibe of people who actually enjoy their place of work. No McDrones here!During one of my visits an elderly lady had a bad fall on the sidewalk outside that led to paramedics and police being called. She was checked over and was okay other than a nasty bump on the head.I bring this up due to the response of the staff at Lucys.Once the hubbub died down and paramedics left the staff sat the woman down at a table. They took care of her order without payment and took some time to chat with her.It made me very happy to see the care the staff took with this lady who had an unfortunate accident. Their conversation was very organic and sweet.Ill definitely be returning to Pacific Grove in the future and Lucys will be a required stop every time.

When I walked in, I was greeted by a friendly waitress. She seemed nice and on her A-game. I ordered the Asilomar, which was a bacon wrapped chili dog with cheese sauce and jalapeños, and the Ollie, tater tots with a sprinkle of green onion (why the green onion? Who knows). Once I received my order, it looked kinda good, but it really wasn’t. I was clueless on how I should approach eating it. The bun was very soggy. I picked up the dog and it all fell apart and plopped back into the boat. It was very sad. I took a bite anyway because I was hungry and what do you know, no flavor... The dog it’s self was kinda greasy, I got a small hint of beef but that was it. I saw the bacon but the flavor was nonexistent. The chili was probably the worst part. No flavor, bland, you name it! I took a closer look and saw that they used canned tomatoes...That’s a no-go. Canned? In a restaurant? You gotta be kidding me. The cheese sauce was subpar, no real flavor. It was all just sad.The tater tots were pretty subpar too. I buy the Great Value ones at Walmart and those taste better than these!! $8 for this? What? I can get a bag for like $5 and it’ll last a good week tops! Why the green onion? It’s not healthy food so why bother adding it? The green onion did not taste fresh either. It tasted as if it was just sitting there for a few hours, precut, waiting to be sprinkled on some subpar tots. Disgusting.Overall, the food was not to my liking nor were the prices. $12 for a subpar hot dog? No thank you. $8 for some subpar tater tots with a sprinkle of stale green onion? Nope. If you like subpar food, this place is for you! I will say the service was nice, but that’s all this place will get. The addition of live music was nice too so that’s why I’m rating this place 2 stars. If you want a good place with good food and atmosphere, you need to work more on the most important aspect: the food!

Had a cool visual for anyone who loves to admire skateboards and surfboards. They even had a cornhole game for guest to play for free.
