The traditional dim sum is good, but other dishes we tried were all disappointing: lamb chops were dry and didn’t have enough salt (we don’t eat very salty); fish maw flavor was fine, but was not tender; steamed grouper was not made of live fish and was not even grouper but black cod. We should have believed in the name of the restaurant and only ordered dim sum. It is a good dim sum restaurant but failed as a Cantonese restaurant.

I was super excited to try Lunasia considering most reviews recommended it as the top spot for dumplings in LA… I was disappointed, sadly. The only dish I recommend is the Pork Rice Noodle Roll. Everything else was just alright. Even though the prices are really fair, service is good and fast, plus the dumplings are on the bigger side, still the flavor just wasn’t worth the drive.

We came on Sunday and only had a 20 minute wait, this is a very busy restaurant. They are very efficient and have a QR code for ordering when you are seated. You order online and just wait for your food to be served! We got the rice noodle with beef, jumbo pork Shu Mai 4 pcs (7.28), sticky rice wrap (7.28), bbq pork boa, saseme balls, soup dumplings, pot stickers, and the shrimp dumplings (6.28). The serving size is large for dim sum but comes in traditional amounts (3 or 4 items). However, with 8 dishes ordered, we were quite full. The Shu Mai was recommended by our friend but was our least favorite of the dishes. The beef rice noodle roll was delicious with an almost tar tar texture. The shrimp dumplings were huge and tasted just like traditional dumplings. Pot stickers, Boa, Saseme balls, Sticky rice, and Soup dumplings were nothing special but still tasty. All the dishes were served quite fast and the tea quality is great as well.Overall, I can see why so many people are willing to wait so long to eat here.

Came here past noon for lunch and there was so many people waiting already. They have a Yelp Check In when you enter so join the queue on your phone to avoid waiting a long time. My party was only 3 people so it took only 20 minutes to get a table even though the estimated seat time was over an hour. They are very efficient and have a QR code for ordering when you are seated. You order online and just wait for your food to be served! We got the rice noodle with beef, jumbo pork Shu Mai 4 pcs (7.28), chicken feet (6.28), bean curd roll (7.28), sticky rice wrap (7.28), and the mixed puff with pork (6.28). The serving size is the typical dim sum portion. However, with only 7 dishes ordered, I was quite full and still had leftovers to bring home. The Shu Mai was very flavorful and with a smooth texture. The chicken feet was also very delicious! The beef rice noodle roll was a bit disappointing though since it was on the bland side. The puff with pork was good but very crispy. All the dishes were served quite fast and the tea quality is great as well. The delicious food made up for the dishes that took longer time to be served.Overall, I can see why so many people are willing to wait so long to eat here. The dim sum is quite good and their lunch menu look good too. I would come back again to try their lunch dishes and get more of their Shu Mai!

The ambiance is relaxing, eating to the light tune of classical music. I loved it. Food is served on a lazy susan, so food is reachable for all guests. Every dish we ate was great. My absolute favorite was peaking duck! It was cooked to perfection. We will be returning with more family! Thank you for your service!

June 2023 - Party of 3, around 1030am on a Saturday. It was pretty packed! Waited about 15-20 minutes until our table was ready.Food/Pricing - The food was hot and yummy! As it should be for the price point.Service/Ambiance - Tea cup had leftover food in it (super gross) and it was difficult to flag down staff to request things. You order by scanning a QR code and staff come by to drop off items. The teapots are pretty. Its too expensive for dim sum. Will return if family wants to but its not somewhere Id visit regularly.Parking - Street parking or park in the nearest structure.

Reasonably good dim sum, fresh ingredients. The tables are very close together, particularly for two people, not very comfortable.

The dim sum are generally good. But may be lack of some pastries like the cha-siu puffs. Chicken feet, pork short-rib are generally good as well as the desserts. One might being faced with the long waiting time at weekends morning and noon. Do remember to get in line in advance to avoid waiting.

This place is buzzing. A lot of people inside eating and outside waiting for their to go orders. It’s a bit loud from the talking but luckily there is no music playing. The noise made the communication a bit challenging but the staff was fast and attentive and on top of things. Given how busy things were, having an online ordering option at the table was very convenient. It also avoided any communication barriers. Food came out at the right pace.Let’s start with drinks. The jasmin green tea has a great price and taste. What a good start. The seaweed salad was fresh, tasty and of good size. Almost filled us up. The shrimp wonton soup had a great unique taste. I just wish they would serve it with veggies. Don’t forget to try their wasabi sauce with your dumplings. The jumbo shrimp dumpling and scallop shrimp dumpling were very fresh and delicious. We ended with their Macao style egg custard as desert. It looks like pastel de belhem/nata from Portugal but is quite different in taste. It’s much less sweet and more light. We will come again!
