Experience and friendly staff. Our party was a group o4 and we went on a Sunday around 1:30pm. It was busy but we were sat quickly. The portions are big enough for sharing which is nice because you get to try a little of a lot of things. My most favorite item was the bulgogi garlic noodles. They were so delicious and flavorful, that dish was gone quickly. The Tteok-bokki was also great. We got a spice level 1 and we’re so glad because after a while it was spicy. We also ordered it with half cheese for one of our friends. The sausages in there was great and it was just bomb. The steamed egg is also something worth ordering. We also got that with half cheese and it was perfect. Garlic wings were good but I’d try a different item next time. There’s plenty of parking and a great spot for hanging and sharing with friends.

The food was great! We went and ordered what everyone was ordering, lol the viral tiktok items, spicy cheesy chicken and the fried chicken. I will say get ready for the wait. We waited 2 hours on a Sunday!! But the staff was on it. They were super busy, they just dont have a lot of tables. We went in group of 4 (good think apparently after 5 people its an 18% service charge) two orders of cheesy chicken and 1 order of fried chicken was perfect. We ordered both sauce for the fried chicken, and everyone could agree they didnt know which one they liked best. If you can bring cash, they dont charge taxes with cash and its a great experience, but will totally go back on weekday, (or add yourself on the yelp list ahead of time)

Very cozy restaurant. The waiters are wonderful and the atmosphere is very friendly. They have a very expansive menu with tons of options from all sorts of meats and veggies. We ordered the foods mentioned in the pictures. They taste very good and are spiced perfectly! The items are mildly pricy when compared to similar options elsewhere. Regardless, the foods taste good. I fully recommend LUV DDUK if you don’t mind the price.

Food was probably fine, however, not worth the price! The real problem with this place was our particular server on this day. They made us buy entrees even though we weren’t hungry and others in our party were getting entrees, and then when we decided on an entree they didn’t let us get it without cheese because apparently it doesn’t taste good. Just a very unpleasant experience with the staff. I tipped them out of tradition, but really wish I didn’t.

I had to be on waiting list till my party of 3 needs to show up... ! But she sat a party of 2 but she was the only one.Not only that the kkmchi fried tasye like fish & they kept on telling me there is no fish. It sausage. Dont order it! The food prices r so expensive over rated & not good. What ever they post on Facebook, Instagram any social media itsall fake. The food is not on a hot skillet but in actual paper bowls & the microwave the egg souffle. The best thing is there bulgogi fries. Also, not sure why they speak to me in English when I spoke to them in Korean. Service isa blah! Not recommend but will definitely recommend restaurant across the street

Its kinda pricey here, but for the amount of food and quality, I think its definitely worth it. Traditional and modern Korean food with friendly service. And they dont joke on the spiciness level! If you cant tolerate the spice, thats fine because they have lots of non spicy dishes on the menu. That being said, Id definitely recommend the teokbeokki with Chinese glass noodles (I get them with ramen normally when I go to other places, but definitely get the Chinese glass noodles when youre here).Other dishes Id highly recommend are the egg cheese dish and the rice ball and get the pineapple juice if youre feeling non-alcoholic.On the other hand, the BULGOGI fries were overly salty and the sauce overpowered everything, so Im not sure if Id get this again.Despite this, we had a really good time. They follow all Covid regulations, even making sure you have your mask on until you get your food. Our server was really sweet, though it seemed like shes the only server working there.I think Im going to definitely come back, not often because of the prices, but definitely when I have money to splurge. Really nice Korean spot. I can definitely see how this place is so hyped up.

Great place for Korean food. Lots of menu items to choose from. I recommend the garlic fried chicken wings. There is plenty of parking outside, but parking is limited. Got the bulgogi garlic noodle and the spicy chicken cheese.The bulgogi is extremely flavorful and so were the noodles. A lot of places the noodles tend to be on the bland side Both were packing flavor. 10/10The spicy chicken cheese was also a 10/10. Its not focused on spicy. Its got so much flavor. It aint super mild either. Just perfect.With these 2 dishes I can tell everything here is gonna be delicious.Im coming back ASAP for the bulgogi cheese fries and that fried chicken and then the rest of the menu

Super overhyped. I saw this all over instagram and tiktok so gave it a try. The dukkboki wasnt good at all. It had a weird aftertaste and the color threw me off because it was more brown than red. (Weird) We also had the fried chicken and army soup which was ok as well. Nothing crazy in flavor. Overall i feel like this place was just mediocre.

Best spot in Cerritos for your Korean street food craving!We got the LUV Tteokbokki and the corn cheese for lunch. Their serving size is actually more than their suggested number of people. Their mild spicy is a two levels higher than your usual mild. The food quality is superb!They have combo meals for those who are coming in as a group.

Luvdduck is my favorite korean spot ever. i live a hour away and drive all the way here just to have their food. the hot pot army soup is a must and never disappoints. we decided to have the fried dumplings but as you can see they barely made it to the photo. both a 10/10 🔥🔥 highly recommend to come and try their food.

We ordered the least amount of spice, called Honey. my friend pointed to it and said no spice. I think the waitress either misunderstood and put the next option little spice, or there is no such thing as no spice because my friend and I, (shes chinese, Im white) were dying. the only one of us who seemed completely fine was our Mexican friend. All the spice stuff aside, it did have decent flavor but everyone at our table agreed weve had better for a better price. The toppings we got were skimpy. it looks like the cheese was a stick of unshredded string cheese that they tossed on top before cooking. There were 4 of us and only 3 sausages (I was the one that went without a sausage so I cant tell you if they were good or not). We ordered garlic chicken wings, the server said they come garlic or fried. they may have well been both due to the extremely crunchy nature of the breading. it was hard, too hot to handle, and when one is to take a bite, youll get nothing but breading for the majority of the wing. I swear I spent a good 5 minutes or longer on one wing (trying to peel off some of the breading) and the net outcome was less than a full bite of meat. We ordered cheese corn which was a plate with a single layer of corn kernels on it topped with cheese and melted. There was not very much of that, as an appetizer meant to be shared between people we each got maybe two spoonfuls. The best thing on the menu that we tried was the Jumbo Bulgogi Fried Rice which was neither jumbo nor fried. It had crispy, salty strips of seaweed that added a good flavour and crisp to the rice and meat. The size of the plate was the same size as the plates they give the free (with meal) pasta salads and radishes. For one person its maybe a regular size, but definitely is not jumbo, and especially when youre sharing with the table. The yupdduk itself, nice chewy texture to the rice cakes and the fish cakes were tender and soft like how they are expected to be. Decent flavour but like I said earlier, honey isnt honey-like at all. It was so spicy that I was glad I ordered the chicken wings just so I could have the bucket (meant for bones) to put all of my napkins in. I ordered a drink at the beginning, strawberry sake, and Im glad I did because it was the really good brand of sake, plus we were constantly running out of water so while my mouth was on fire from the spiciness of the least spicy yupp... Overall it was $72 (paid with cash) and an $8 tip. I paid 20 something because of my drink and my friends all paid around 17 each. I think that adds up right Im not good at math. There was a bakery/Asian food/boba place around the corner that Im upset we didnt eat at instead. (my friend that suggested yupdduk had never actually eaten here and we picked on her about it all day)

My boyfriend and I wanted some Korean food for late night munchies around 10pm so we found this place as we were by the area. It is open until 1am. The food portions were big and the wings were delicious. The fish cakes were good but the soup is a bit peppery. I just wish the prices were a bit cheaper.

This heat is nothing to scoff at.Korean spicy rice cakes is something that I’ve known to be a humble dish. It’s never been considered the main star at places I’ve tried it, usually offered as an appetiser or even a free check in meal. So when my friend sent me this place, I was taken aback to see a restaurant specialising in spicy rice cakes, and talked up the heat. She and I have decent spice tolerances, chowing through the Samyang Buldak noodles weekly, almost religiously at the time.I think the parking lot is a tad small and can see it being rather difficult to find a space during peak hours. The seating area was a tad roomy, with most tables meant for fitting parties of four but there was a long booth and several separated tables that let us squeeze about eight of us together. Service was nice and prompt, which is welcomed when you’re eating spicy foods and might need some remedies.We ordered the mild Yup Oh (more fish cake heavy) and the Set C original Yup Dduk which came with tempura, rice balls, and Korean sausage. This was my first time having Korean sausage, so I expected more of a snap from the casing and a meaty chew but it was more of a starchy kind of texture. The rice balls were just small scooped balls of rice covered in seaweed, which I believe were unsalted, but were a nice buffer for the rice cakes and sauce. The tempura was definitely the star. Lightly battered, but quite greasy, which might’ve lent it its heavy, hard hitting savoury flavours.The mild heat level had a slight kick to it, and still might be spicy to those that don’t have a tolerance built up. The original spicy is something I’d place in between the original Samyang fire noodle and the 2x spicy. The pickled sides are your best friends here, there just isn’t enough mozzarella in that massive bowl to quell that heat. But, like the fire noodles, the heat came at the expense of flavour. I think I enjoyed the mild heat level more, the original packed heat but not much else and that doesn’t seem to bode well for the higher ranks.The food is an absolutely great value (Came out to about $50 to feed eight of us!) and I imagine great to have drinks with as well, but I wanted a bit of the slight sweetness from other rice cake dishes I’ve had in the past. I still definitely recommend this place and would come back again sometime.

Dined here in a party of 3 total with my spouse and child. Ordered the YupDduk combo B with Extra Mild spice levels. Great smokey peppery spice with depth of flavor. Rice cakes were great vessels for the thick rich sauce. The combo will feed 4 average eaters or 3 people with large appetites.The tempura consisted of waffle fries, calamari rings, fried dumplings, yellow sweet potato tempura, and tempura rice rolls. The assorted tempura along with the rice balls with nori provided a welcome counter point to the rice cakes and kept things fresh. I enjoyed the fish cakes and sausages accompanying the rice cake too.We arrived before 7PM and there only a few tables seated. Things got much busier quickly after 7 though because of Happy Hour with BOGO beer or soju.

If a good customer service is an important part of your dining experience, DO NOT go to this restaurant. The lady who works here can get pretty aggressive with you... I put in an order expecting that this restaurants tteokbeokki will be similar to Yup Dduk. I asked for level 2 spicy, but the lady who picked up my call kept trying to change my order to level 1. When I told her Im certain with my decision she kept saying I cant complain later and that Im not making the correct decision (hello...? I was down for a spicy food and if I didnt want it spicy I wouldnt even order...?). So I took my order home... and this level 2 tteokbeokki was not even spicy... it was too sweet for me I had to look for some leftover crushed peppers and spread it over the tteokbeokki and it still wasnt spicy enough... Lady.. if youre reading this review... dont tell your future customer what to do please... this is the most disappointing tteokbeokki I have ever tried in my life... but their fried seaweed roll was good...

TL;DR BOGO soju EVERYDAY 8pm-12am.Isaac was awesome! Best server ever!I was dying since I wasnt the best at eating spicy food. He even waited for me to say, Im dying, in Korean which is, (Na chugo isseo).He offered the dying and sweating me (not yet dripping in snot) some pasta salad and corn cheese as side dishes he would use when he has spicy food. He can definitely handle more spicy food than me, so I trust that he knows what would be good.We had the Yup Dduk set menu which includes the rice cake/fishcake/boiled egg/glass noodle/assorted tempura. Ask for ramen and extra cheese!!My bf (bless his Korean butt) and my wonderful friend gave me free reign over the side dishes that were non spicy items or palette cleansers such as the pickles yellow reddish).The BOGO soju deal is awesome!! The place is filled with a lot of people and the service was fast and got our food. But the food we got was a kick of the spiciness even if we said a little spicy it was more the level of spicy. The food was still good but hard to enjoy with the spicing feeling kicking in most of the time. But I found a piece of hair in the food which made me surprise but I left the hair on the napkin for all the employees to see after we are done with the foo. But what I do like is the seaweed rice ball it was the only food not spicy lol and the delaciate of fries, fish cakes and seaweed rolls. I recommend this place to anyone who wants a kick start explosion to their food.

I got the bulgulgi garlic noodles twice from here. The first time the food was immaculate! I was surprised by the depth of flavors in the fish and the addition of broccoli as its not pictured in their menu picture. The second time I went... Made me not want to go back, instead of the Thai noodles I had the first time (which I absolutely love) they gave me instant ramen type noodles... Big difference. The dish just doesnt taste the same with the interior noodles. The staff isnt friendly at all. Treated me like I was an unwanted intrusion both times. So Ill take my money else where.

Good food, service could be better. We waited for another 10 minutes even after I got the text that our table was ready. After we ordered our food, it took another good 15-20 minutes until it came out. It took a few tries each time we wanted to wave a server over. However, the food was good. Im not a big fan of spicy stuff, but the food was delicious. Still spicy, but good! 3/5 stars.

They take every precaution to ensure a safe dining experience. It is pretty popular. Luckily me and my dining companions arrived earlier. The portions are great and the food is delicious. Be aware of the spiciness of the food. There is a kick. I am a wimp when it comes to spicy but I was able to manage at the lowest level. The portions are designed so that it can be shared. Dont over-order as if you were ordering per person. I will return again!

Wow! This is my first time here. On Saturday night around 9:00pm. The restaurant was pack with customer I reserve on yelp and the waiting wasnt that long.The service was good overall they were Covid-19 guideline with hand sanitize and temperature check. Always good that they keep doing this. For the safety of everyone.They also, have Beer and Soju special for happy Hour from 12pm-12am buy one get one free this was good for alcohol drinker.Overall, the food that our party selected was good. Nothing was bad the food was tasty and have a very good flavor. I will come back next time to tried different other dish. I would recommend this places to everyone and to my friends.

The place was good except for the yuppduk wasnt good but its because it wasnt my liking since I dont like soft chewy food. But the soup itself was good. The fried rice was great I could it eat all day. The best one was the plain fried wings. The chicken stew is super tasty. We got the regular spicy (I cant handle a lot of spice) and it was good for me, keeping in mind the stew is also piping hot. The stew had rice cakes, potatoes, carrots and glass noodles. It was an amazing one pot dish! We also added on the spam, dumpling, seaweed roll and cheese sticks, which we ate all of, but almost unnecessary, considering how much food it was.

Love the combo B set. Since the portions are quite large, it’s a good value and perfect for sharing with 3, maybe 4 people.Their extra milk or even mild is a good spice level if you don’t eat very spicy! I’ve also had the kimchi rice and cheese corn. Those are a bit more expensive with smaller portions. Overall, everything was a-ok. Worth checking out!

Food was okay, but overpriced. We paid $5 for 4 cheesesticks. 4. Anyways, we were ordering the Yupp Dduk at medium spicyness, and our server warned us it was going to be very spicy. She then left us alone at our table for 45 minutes without refilling our water once. Service was the worst Ive seen in a while. Definitely not returning.

Very spicy plates, lots of rice cake with red pepper sauce. Some funky mayo combinations with the spicy dishes which is not my taste but seems to be popular with the younger crowd. Definitely hang out food for snacking with friends and not something I would recommend as a place for individual meals.

One of me and my friends favorite places! We love this location because we dread Los Angeles and parking here is WAY easier. One time my friends and i did came 45 mins before closing time and we werent able to be seated (understandable) but they were still able to generously take our takeout order. Stepped in and felt like a place where college kids would enjoy. They serve alchohol, the BOGO soju deal, which is great. Ordered the combo which came with soon dae, snack rice balls, fried items basket, and a big bowl of yupdduk dokpoki. Price was $35.99, it could feed up to 3 to 4 people. Got the heat flavor under the regular one and it was alittle spicy. Also, had the korean styled fiery chicken feet and it was burning my tounge and my inside organs. The service is good and the taste in overall is decent. Would go back soon.

Duukbokki with addition of chinese glass noodle and the deep fries.The lady who got the order suggested to change it to comboA, because its cheaper that way. Okay, that sounds familiar, like ordering burger and fries and the drinks in combo is cheaper than separate. She mentioned food amount is the same, too.When I got home, I found there was wrong noodle in my dish. It was not the wide one Ive been craving..I called, and they made all the excuses to make it my fault, that i didnt mention the wide chinese noodles. EXCUSE ME? I started my order with Ddukbokki with wide chinse noodles, and SHE is the one suggested combo A! I thought that combo A comes with thr wide noodles, because they didnt tell me otherwise!How can you expect a customer to know better than the actual worker about the pricing and the combo menu?Please, if you made mistake, admit it. Its fairly new and did not but was hoping it would be good. But I was not wrong. I went there around 12.30pm Monday which should have been busy lunch hour but was pretty empty. Inside was clean and nice. Service wasnt bad. I had ordered oden soup and kimbab. Kimbab wasnt bad, they gave very little dipping sauce, salad was not bad, daikon was ok but there was no vinegar on any of the tables to pour over daikon. Oden was whole different story. I may had half but did not take it to go because it would end up in trash can. I am not a good cook but I think I can do better with the packages I buy at the local korean/Japanese market. Would I go back? I think I can do lot better for my lunch with $20 plus tip.
