Ma-Kin Vegan Sushi in Agoura Hills

How could it be less than 5 stars! The atmosphere and environment is so inviting. The staff are all so helpful and friendly, very good at conversation and polite. The food...some of the best sushi ever! Every roll was so freaking good and delicious. My wife and I over ate, no regrets!

Absolutely amazing food! Whenever we bring friends for the first time they are blown away that everything is vegan. Reasonable prices and delicious food, definitely recommend even for non-vegans.

Amazing vegan sushi!!! Visiting here every few weeks and making my way through the menu! Highly recommend the California tempura rolls!! Those are my favorite so far!

Absolutely love this place, its my favorite vegan sushi. The Crispy rice is perfection and all the baked rolls are divine!! I got the tempura shrimp roll the other day and it tasted and smells so real, I thought I was being punked!!!

This was our first time here!Celebrating a special Birthday 🥳So glad my daughter found this Vegan Sushi restaurant.We are Sushi lovers & it’s hard to find good quality & fantastic taste. This is top notch flavor, quality, presentation!The service was impeccable.We will definitely be back.I would rate this above 5 star.I do recommend anyone to try this place!

This place ROCKS! I found it on Google maps while traveling for work and since my colleague is vegetarian, we thought we would give it a try and I’m so glad we did. The staff were so sweet and so kind. They answered our questions with a smile. I had the match latte and my colleague had a lemonade. Both were refreshing and hers even came with free refills. The sushi rolls themselves were absolutely delicious. The flavors were on-point and the sushi was just as good, if not better, than others I’ve had with real fish! If I were in the area I would absolutely return. 10/10 recommend.

The amount of options was incredible. We ordered way too much food because we couldnt decide on what looked best. But every dish was delicious! The staff was welcoming, gave great recommendations, and talked with us about their experience at other sushi restaurants before opening this vegan one.

Wonderful, fully vegan Japanese cuisine. I wanted to try a lot of different parts of the menu so we shared the cucumber sunomono, gyoza (steamed), spicy miso mushroom soup, chicken teriyaki bowl, the sexy lady roll, and the matcha cheesecake. Just about everything was amazing and Im so glad I discovered this place. The hot green tea was also really nice.A few small complaints, to be a bit nitpicky - the cucumber salad wasnt very flavorful, the gyoza fell apart really easily, and the veg in the teriyaki bowl was pretty oversteamed. Still a wonderful experience overall tho

Cute and quant! Great food! They use mushrooms in a lot of their rolls and it makes for a really good umami flavor.It’s crazy because you honestly forget you’re not eating fish. They really don’t skimp on the flavor! Usually after eating sushi I feel way too full and have a slight stomach ache. I always chopped it up to the rice just expanding or the gluten. But, when I left Makin, I had no stomach ache and felt great!They serve natural sodas as well. The inside is small and clean. The service was fast and personable. Definitely try it out. You’ll be surprised how good it is!

Best plant-based sushi in the area (we traveled from Simi Valley to get it)! I apologize for my dark and somewhat blurry photos. We ordered for pick up and ate in the car on the way home so the lighting wasnt the best.Heres what my husband and I ordered:Veg tempura cut rollSpicy tuna hand roll (not pictured)ValenciaCalifornia Tempura rollRock shrimp tempura rollWe liked all of them! But our favorite hands down was the Valencia roll. It wasnt too spicy and the sauces on top were perfect. Although there were only 6 rolls in the to-go box, they were big! It took me two bites to eat them. And although they were $19, Id get them again!My next favorite was the California Tempura. Its such a classic sushi roll I used to get before we went vegan and this had all the flavors I remember! And this roll is totally affordable. Ill order this one again too!If you want something fun, go for the rock shrimp. It was an experience eating it and our favorite bites were when we piled a few pieces of rock shrimp on each roll. Id get this again if we were eating in the restaurant. But trying to lift this to your mouth while riding in a car is challenging lol. My kids would love the rock shrimp though.I didnt eat the spicy tuna hand roll or the veg tempura cut roll, but my husband did and loved them both. And the prices were good for those too.We have 3 kids but didnt order for them because we wanted to try it out for ourselves first. If youre ordering for kids, go for the California tempura. Its a pretty classic roll and the size is small enough for kids to eat. :)Id love to return and dine in the restaurant. Theres lots more on the menu that Id like to try.
