I love that there’s an empanadas place in Alameda now. Unfortunately I didn’t get to try them this time. I got the Alegria Combo which is two arepas, salad, and a drink. Got the banh mi and pulled pork bbq arepas. Both were super delicious. I definitely have to come back to try the empanadas.

My wife picked up the food and it was such a pleasant surprise. I really like arepas to begin with so Im biased. But they were amazing. Got pulled pork, chicken, cheese and quesabirria. The birria won without a fight. Giving it five stars for that alone. The others were still very good! I would snack on the cheese ones all day if I could afford it. Will go back!

MACONDO is special. The empanadas are made to order. The meats are tender and saturated with flavor. MACONDO challenges pizza for the title of best the day after and left out on the counterI ate here 3 times in a span of 24 hours the day I found them. I also invited a group of people and they also all loved it. EAT HERE. And treat the lovely ladies with respect and love because their love and respect for you is there; stuffed in a crispy empanada shell and made just for you.

Delicious food and we are looking forward to returning many times in the future. We tried the Maite, Banh Mi and Choclo arepas, beef empanada and the plantain side.Only a bench inside and outside so youll need to take your food to eat elsewhere. Luckily there are a few parks nearby, and the parking lot with tables on Taylor and Webster.

I was walking by and saw this little place and because I love arepas I decided to try AND IT WAS THE BEST DECISIONWe had the Birria and bah mi arepas and they were absolutely delicious. I am sad we did not ordered more lol the lady who took our order was also very sweet.We also had the chicken empanadas(baked) and the dough Mets in your mouth. Very happy we found this place right around the corner and can’t wait to have more.

Trust me on this: Order the chicken arepas, the spinach/ beet salad and the red beans. Its a very healthy and tasty meal that should leave you energized. This place is also a great grub source for the bar across the street. Apparently the local dispensary customers havent discovered it yet. If they had, there would be a line around thre block.

We need more variety like Macondo Colombian Fusion in Alameda. The food is great and prices are right for their combos. I think they just opened and still getting a hang of increasing the speed of service.

This place is legit! Ate here for lunch. The shop itself is small. The servings are also small so be sure to order extra if youre hungry. Would happily eat here again.

Macondo Colombian Fusion is the ideal restaurant for many different occasions. I think food is a way to express love and share with others, I love being able to bring a taste of Colombia in the Bay Area anywhere I go. It’s hard to describe each ingredient because they’re characterized by the richness in diversity but one think I can tell it’s all their options are made with amazing freshest ingredients. Here’s a picture of the “Quesabirria Arepa” —> Cheesy Birria with pickled red onion, Carrots, Cilantro and Consommé.There’s different options for breakfast, lunch or dinner. They also have empanadas 🤤, salads and NATURAL juice!!Please do to yourself a flavor and stop by to try out this amazing food, the problem it’s that after you try it you’ll want to go all the time.

Wow this place is the real deal, the bahn mi arepa and farmers arepa (with plantains!) were sooo good, and they made the best chicken empanadas I’ve had. I called ahead and picked up, the kitchen was very clean and the owner was very kind. Price was reasonable. Highly recommend coming here, well worth the trip.

Lovely, women-owned shop with delicious arepas! The place is small but seating (a bench and two chairs) is available. The bahn mi arepas are popular. Quesabirria arepas are my favorite.

The choclo arepa is the best. Cheesy, salty and sweet. For 5 dollars its the size of my hand and I was full after eating one. Soo good.

The choclo arepa is the real deal. You could tell it was fresh corn. I was also glad that the baseline for their juice is not sweet by default. Ill be back!
