My experience at Macys in La Jolla Westfield Center today was absolutely phenomenal. Rosemarie, who assisted me in Womens Wear, went above and beyond in delivering top-notch customer service. Her exceptional helpfulness truly saved the day for me as a last-minute shopper. I was incredibly pleased not only with the outstanding service I received but also with the excellent results.

Unless youre there for cosmetics, accessories, or shoes ... dont bother if you wear anything bigger than a size extra large, and really... That equates to a size large, as most of the items run small anyway!

Apart from retails. They should probably make the outlets little cool. The AC should be turn on at little cool temperature as the inside is very suffocating which makes it impossible to stay in for a long time with kids and elders

Macys is a great store with great cloth. The price always worth the item you are purchasing. Macys has segregation between mens and woman cloth. Mens cloth are located on the first floor and womans cloth are on the second floor.

I went to utc on 9/25 to return a Pair of Nike and I went the finish line where the shoe is returned. The woman standing stating she’s the manager of the finish line department absolutely refused to return it claiming it had signs of wear. When I told her a number of times I haven’t worn the shoe. And it absolutely had no signs of wear! It was a half size smaller that’s why I wanted to return it and I would’ve ordered the bigger size if it was available. But she kept schooling me on company policies and how she can’t return it although it was within the 45 day return limit just because she didn’t want to take it back!! The sales guy standing next to her is witness of this!! To top it all she threatened me to call loss prevention on me just because I was trying to return a shoe which was a 100% brand new but she kept on arguing as she herself didn’t want to return it!!Anyways because of this I had to drive all the way to fashion valley to make the return and they took it back without any problems. I even asked them to make sure if they saw any signs of wear and they denied. This woman needs to taught some manners and customer service!!

Yesterday I went to the UTC Macys to see a furniture product I had decided I might like to order. The staff who met with me were outstanding: the personal stylist Theresa Doctor and the furniture specialist Alan spent 4 hours helping to find the right size products and the best price for a sectional sofa configuration which was quite small. They were completely customer focused and kept trying different virtual plans to see what might work in my unique space. Their attention to detail and the knowledge of their product lines make a difficult set of choices easy. Their supervisor Gabriel also concurred that these two were outstanding employees. Thanks to the whole Macys team for outstanding service both for product choice and value for money. A great Valentines Day present.

Macy’s has great products, but I do not like shopping there because the customer service is terrible. One, they are very short staffed. In the shoe department, they are swamped with one nice girl at the register and another very unhelpful man walking around. (This was Saturday March 12 around noon-1 pm-ish.) The shoe department is also in charge of purses, which are locked, so in order to purchase a $250 purse, you have to wait about 20 minutes for someone to help you. I asked a sales lady walking by, and she barely looked at me, and says, “I don’t have a key.” Even worse were the man and woman working in sunglasses, who were WAY too busy playing on their phones and chatting with each other- no one customer was in their area- to be bothered to help us. They unapologetically said, “sorry, we work in sunglasses,” and quickly went back to their cell phones. I said, “The woman at the shoe register is extremely busy, can’t you get the key from her and just unlock the purse for me?” Nope. They just giggled and rolled their eyes at us. Macy’s, is this the type of customer service you want at your store? I will gladly pay more at Nordstrom for quality customer service.

We waited in line approx 15 mins with one person before us. We had to move to another cashier, she confirmed that the previous cashier has a tendency to do that.

I have been shopping at this Macy’s for several years and Terry Laksari has been nothing short of amazing. She works in the perfume department, and is always there to help me and my family find the perfect fragrance when I need it. She’s so sweet and genuinely cares about what my needs are. For a store that has such high end products. I was very upset with my whole experience. The store was messy, we could not find any staff to help us. When we did it there was no emotion in it. Like we were inconveniencing her, by asking where something was. After we finally found what we came for, had to wait in a line and watch 3 staff people behind a counter, with only one was working, or should I say talking with the other staff, and half asking the transaction. For the amount the clothes are there, you would think the staff would have much better manners.

I love, love, love this Macys. I live in north county, and we have a Macys; however, it just doesnt compare. When I look at the UTC Macys, I can tell a young, fashion forward individual is doing the ordering. On the other hand, the Carlsbad Macys seems as if a very basic, and sorry, but boring person is doing the ordering. What a comparison!!! Gooooo UTC!!!

I have to recommend against the Macys card. I thought Id save a $100 further on the holiday sales and sign up. I was also thinking Id maybe keep the card in case I could find a good deal later. But I quickly realized I didnt want anything to do with the card and I tried to close it due to the problems. Read on for more.The feeling they give me when I tried to pay my bill is that I should go to hell. I simply wanted to pay it off before I owed interest. Ive gone into the store multiple times over two weeks and the balance showing on my card is yet to reach the full amount (a month after the two, same-day purchases) that I owe. Ive called them multiple times and theyve hung up on me twice for simply requesting more info and updates to information on my card so that I may pay it off and close the account. Now I am resorting to the cryptic hand-written letter sent by snail mail, and at best can expect a response within 30 days.

I went in to buy my mother a warm comforter. It is hard to find a comforter that combined with the cover, isnt to heavy for a elderly women. The salesman was very helpful, he showed me a brand that came in heavy, medium and light. They were 100% goose down. He showed me how to tie the comforter in the corners of the cover. I chose the second best brand as the best was about $600. He informed me that we would be quit happy with the brand I chose and could return it if mom didnt like it. When he rang up the sale, he asked if I wanted to open an account, explaining that by doing so I would be given a big discount. I saved about $100 by doing so. Mom was completely happy with my choice. Warm light and stylish. Thanks Macys, Good sales person and good merchandise.

Macys has the best clothes. Their quality is good and the designs are creative. And when they have a sale the prices are really amazing. You can get everything from basics to top end merchandise. And the staff is always very helpful. Some registers seem to always have a line but just pop over to the next one for faster service

Thomas from the Mens section was super helpful!! Less than a week from our wedding day, I walked in with my fiance and said he needs a suit! - Thomas walked us over to a rack and immediately pulled out a jacket and matching pants in my fiances exact size. He said Ive been doing this 30 years, I just need to take one look at you - also took time to grab a shirt and give us some tie advice plus a tailor recommendation if we needed it, plus the suit was on sale. In and out within 30 minutes (which is great as we try to avoid malls due to pandemic) and he got a perfectly fitting suit, no alterations needed.

I am not a huge Macys shopper but I found myself here a couple weeks ago because I had to return a few gift items that didnt fit. The woman that helped me was condescending when I asked her if I could double check the number of items that I had returned since it didnt quite match the number on my original receipt. I went to the womens pajama section and it was totally disorganized. I browsed for a long time and nobody asked me if I needed help. I also browsed the womens bras/underwear section for a bit and again no one asked me if I needed help. I found out after tracking someone down to ask for help that there are no maternity items in the entire store, which is a bummer. And when I asked another person that I had to track down for help if they sold phone covers (happy to buy a designer phone cover), they told me to check a phone stand or something else that seemed kind of condescending as well. It felt like very Pretty Woman-esque treatment. Anyways, this place is so Blah I am going to use my gift card online rather than go back.

In addition to the insane deal I got at Macys one day sale (3 name brand suits for the price of 1), the customer service I received blew me away. Lynn, Todd, and the rest of the Macys crew were friendly, professional, and extremely helpful. Lynn took the time to help me make my selections while also helping many other customers as well. I was very impressed by her ability to multi-task and remain cool under intense pressure. Because of the sale, the store was obviously a madhouse, but the Macys staff really stepped it up and provided a first-rate customer experience, never missing a beat. This kind of personal touch and attention to customer service are extremely rare these days, in my experience, and I very much appreciate them. I look forward to being a regular Macys customer from here on out. Thanks!

I loveeeee this place. Everything you need, from colognes, watches, clothes plus they had some deal of the month where if you signed up for a card from Macys it comes with great benefits. Meaning if examples a watch is $300 but they have a 15% off if you are a member you get 15% plus the discount with is 20% so 35% of every purchase. Too me its all worth it.Disclaimer this are deals that comes and goes so just be sure to ask before checking out.

This place is amazing! Amazing selection of all types of clothes, but more so that the staff are some if the best Ive ever dealt with. In fact, cheered up my cruddy day from them just helping out with me trying to get a suit, and had a blast doing so! Their front desk / customer service / returns needs better customer service training. we needed to exchange something that we bought a week ago, had the macy’s tag, and the guy at the register assumed we didn’t buy it there and told us that we in fact didn’t buy it at Macy’s and proceeded to say “it happens often”. I was at the UTC Macys on 11/19/2013 for their big sale. I bought a couple of mens cashmere sweaters and later changed my mind and found something else. I went to the checkout at 11:31 am and was helped by the sales associate 71106602, an older woman. I couldnt believe the rudeness of this woman. I tried to explain to her what I had wanted was to return the 2 sweaters and purchase the other item and she got really angry with me and started yelling at me to slow down. I told her to calm down and take a couple deep breath and she start yelling that I was the one angry. She rushed to finish the transaction, of course not a Thank you for shopping at Macys as was customary. The other sales associate at the same check out apologizes for her.I didnt expect to be treated like this. Luckily shes the only bad experience I had that day. The one star is for this incidence. Overall I would have given it a 3.

Three stars isnt bad its just average and thats exactly how I felt at Macys today. There was no one at the Mac section of me season all I wanted to do is get lipstick. Maybe theyre understaffed unsure... I mistakenly even asked if anybody is working at Mac today with these two women talking to each other wearing black thinking youre employees turned out it was just one that work for Macys in the other one was a customer. As usual see Macys has pretty good sales going on. And I guess its the time of the year so the shoe racks were kind of messy. But that is to be expected. Will shop again because I like Macys and their selections. Otherwise theyre kind of underemployed for a large chain especially during this holiday season. I ended up just going to the Mac store instead since no one was able to help me.

This review is for Tag a longtime sales associate in the UTC Mall who works in bedding.I went to the mall to return pair of shoes that I ordered online inside to pop upstairs to check out the hotel linr that Ive been eyeballing for years, but is way out of my price point even on a regular sale. Black Friday they had a 65% off which was itself was great but still getting all new bedding was going to cost me about $900. I was eyeballing the duvet when Taj asked me if I needed help oh, I had a couple of questions and he answered them honestly and offered me more information than I expected. Then he then talk to me about the sheets and the differences and sheets and took me to multiple brands that were different prices, then he led me the down comforters and answered all my questions there. I was more than sold but had decided I was going to go home and think about it. He also told me if I didnt have a Macys card that I could get one and Ill get an extra 20% off. The next day I went online calculator my cost and could purchase everything online but decided he had been so helpful I was going to go back and buy from him. As soon as I walked in to the store on Monday he was the first person to greet me. I told him I was happy he was there intern he told me he was happy I was there. He took the exact same amount of time to grab me the things that I wanted in the intern Associates ask him to help other customers. He was able to get those other customers help without disturbing you in a moment of our time together. Of course I knew that buying everything that he suggested and an extra pair of sheets. He was fast and helpful informative and while he was checking me out another man got in line and said that he was specifically waiting for Taj help him and that Taj was great and he deserves a raise, I couldnt agree more. If it had not been for Tosh I would have not purchase the hotel collection. I was able to get everything that I wanted just about $600, I couldnt believe it I finally have my Hotel Collection that aint that I wanted for years at a price I could afford. I would not have purchased the wedding had it not been for Tag. He knows his bedding and is so helpful. I hope he does get a raise. If you are wondering I went home with pillows he suggested and I dont think Ive ever slept so well in my entire life. I woke up once and realize that Ive gone to bed and my body hadnt moved the entire night. I am more than grateful for his help in his insight.

The store is good and the shops /restaurants are good the parking is not good its very hard to find a parking spot and if you go over 2 hours if you want to have lunch or go to other stores you have to pay a fee to park so youre very limited on time to park for free for that reason will not go back very soon

Yesterday(Monday the March 15th) just before the close around 7:30 pm I stopped by Macys with my family.Love this store(Macys at UTC) but this store needs to fire the manager and security head asap. There was no security and no management.Having realized there was no security a group of people stopped and stole bunch of things and as per the attendant they stole $400+ worth of stuff and came back to get more. One of the girls(around 16) in the group literally Changed the pants right in front of my family. It was not a good sight.And this group of people kept staring at us, it was very obvious they were stealing clothes and running away with them. But the whole thing didnt make our shopping experience safe, as these people could easily cary weapons and hurt anyone who can speak against blatant stealing(placing things in personal bags and running away). MACYS is a big company and~ - $1000 of stuff wont hurt them but they need to realize customer safety is the most important thing. And with manager and security no show youre putting lives of customers at risk. Extremely disappointed. I hope Macys looks at the cameras and fire people for mismanaging and press charges against culprits.Ps: The attendant was a very smart person. He handled the situation right without causing chaos. Its the manager/supervisor/security that did not do their jobs.

They told me to not buy anything today but order it and it would come for 30 percent off. I asked if they had a specific sweatshirt in stock and they said yes it will come in a week. After two weeks of waiting they told me it wouldn’t come because it was out of stock. Never go there! I recommend old navy, tillys, or J.C. Penney.

Ive never felt so ripped off in my life by shopping here. The cashier that rang me told me she had to double check an item I wanted to purchase, I said that was fine so she leaves. She comes back said that wasnt the price, I explained to her that there were other ones on the rack with the same price shes kept on repeating herself so I just purchased the other items. I walked over to the rack grabbed the same merchandise to show her that I didnt change the price, that there the ones who marked it that way . She then said oh I believe you found it this way but this is too cheap Ill charge you 14.99 for this item, Im like how are you going to do that when youre rining up the item its 9.99. So basically she wanted to make up her own price because the price didnt seem high enough for the item i was buying. 😕 I totally understood if the tag didnt match the merchandise but it did match and so by that experience I probably will never go back to Macys utc.

Wow, this place is a dump... Look up or down and one is filled with the sensation of having traveled 20 years back in time. The dated odor reinforces this time warp. Seems like theyre operating with as few employees as possible. Heaps of clothing piled up outside dressing rooms. Staff seems nice, just not enough of them to keep this place running in proper shape. For such a strong brand and upscale location, they should be severely embarrassed.

I went to buy nipple covers for a formal dress and the only one they sell that was thin was one shaped as a flower and are a one time use. They both left red marks in the shape of the cover and made some of my skin peel up after wearing them for only 3-4 hours.

This Macys is a good place. The pickup counter people are particularly helpful. Ive run into one or 2 annoying staff there (I order a lot from there) but the helpful staff is far more helpful. They do a good job. The Westfield UTC mall is a great mall. So give them a chance! Parking is good now they implemented the 2 hour free and paid parking eliminating people parking there who arent even going to the mall. they also have a bunch of 30 minute spots for those picking up merch ordered online. cheers!

I went into the MAC makeup section today and found the most wonderful hidden gem named Kaiki. She applied shadows, blush, & makeup. She showed me different techniques and tricks. I bought almost everything she suggested because her knowledge about MAC is incredible. Next week I am going back to pick up a few other things she suggested. I recommend any one looking for help with makeup go see Kaiki you will love her!

The Levis department is awesome! Keyes is helpful, courteous, and knowledgeable. He is eager to find exactly what customers want and he asks the right questions to figure it out, even when were not sure exactly what it is. My experience in the UTC Levis department was fun and rewarding. Keyes hooked me up with some cool Last Act Levis that were marked way down.
