2023-09-20 03:25:03The beef and spinach curry is amazing. The pork cutlet is overcooked. The curry sauce is the best in town. The hamburger steak is flavorful. I love this place and will definitely to come back again. Oh! The French fries is also great. The price is affordable.

2023-07-11 02:17:27We came here for the first time. I like this curry flavor a lot . It’s flavorful. I ordered medium and it’s a bit spicy so changed toMild instead. If you like very spicy go ahead order medium or hot. The mild spicy is perfect. If you like it very hot, go ahead and you will be pleased . I’ll be regular customer from now. My husband ordered katsu and the meat has nice portion .I ordered meat and spinach. I’ll ya it’s so good. Friendly workers. Clean atmosphere . We were there at 2pm and there were a couple customer so it was really nice and quiet.

2023-08-15 21:43:14The curry here is really good and I love that they give you the pickled vegetables for the table. You can use as much as you want. The largest size probably isnt necessary because it only gives you extra rice and curry. Youll be left with the extra portions if you dont add additional meat. Seating is a bit limited.

2023-02-28 20:32:32Great alternative to Curry House. Maji Curry boasts award-winning Japanese curry with a simple menu of popular proteins, curry, and a handful of toppings (including a melted, creamy cheese to pour over your curry). So, of course, I was curious: does it hold up?The answer is mostly yes. The curry itself is a bit spicy, even at the mild level, and is a thicker consistency compared to the usual Japanese curry. The flavor of the curry sauce is dark and rich, and the rice was cooked perfectly. The accompanying pickles also tasted like they were freshly made and were a delicious addition to the curry. The Lows: The Hamburg Curry with Cheese did not meet the hype for me, primarily because the Hamburg was not soft or delicate as most Hamburg in Japan would be. Perhaps more to American taste - they served a well-done patty. When I asked if they could cook the beef medium rare, to my surprise, the server let me know that they would not be able to adjust the cook. The cheese sauce was pretty good on its own but gets lost in the rich curry sauce. For this reason, I would not recommend adding the cheese if youre being calorie-conscious.The Highs: the Pork Cutlet Curry! The cutlet was thick, juicy, and delicious, and the cook of the meat was great. The Vegetables (which can act as its own curry or a side) and the Eggplant are both also great. Tenderly cooked and well-seasoned stars. The service pacing was decent and the servers were pretty friendly, but the restaurant is far too small for the potential demand of curry lovers. The interior has seating for maybe 7-8 small parties (mostly for parties of 2), and on the night we visited, a large party took up half the restaurant so it took over an hour for a seat for 3 folks. Things may improve once its warm enough for outdoor seating (though there are only a couple of tables outside too).Would I come back? Absolutely! With that said, Id recommend to come with a small group (preferably just 2 people) and avoid the dinner rush and get here very early or late. And order the pork cutlet and/or veggie curry - theyre fantastic!

2023-07-19 19:55:54Good curry and quick service. The curry was full of aromatic spices that made each bite enjoyable. Its not the best japanese curry that Ive had, but its still pretty good. I think they could have done better with the tonkatsu on top as it wasnt too crispy.

2023-06-02 01:01:28Since living in japan and coming back to the US I haven’t found any restaurant with curry 🍛 that’s anywhere as close as delicious like japans. Not even the coco curry in Irvine that place was such a huge disappointment to the coco curry in Nagasaki. My children are in love with this place everything from the hospitality and food exactly like in japan. It was amazing, only thing is that it’s very small but there is a bathroom and the service is extraordinary. We will be coming back for our curry fix.

2023-06-05 05:18:51Good curry joint! Honestly they need a bigger space bc it is TINY.I got omelet pork cutlet with veggies and cheese sauce. Probably could’ve skipped cheese sauce since it didn’t add much to the flavor. Pork cutlet was good and so was the curry. Veggies were a nice addition but also $4….Overall, I’d come again to try other dishes! Definitely a good addition to this plaza.

2023-04-24 03:17:12We went there on Saturday night, waited for an hour to get in. We ordered omelet curry with pork cutlet and omelet curry with hamburger steak. The portion was good. There was pickled veggies on the side which can cut down the heaviness of the curry. The curry was great, very flavorful with a hint of sweetness. The pork cutlet was a little dry, but the hamburger was great. Overall, I think it was pretty good however I don’t know if it worth for an hour wait.

2023-04-24 19:45:43Probably one of the best Japanese curry houses Ive been in a while. Quality of the food seems good and tasty. The place is small, so it can get crowded. I didnt like how cramp it felt and how close you sit next to others. It also gets really loud and hard to talk. The curry was good, but a little too sweet. I got level 5 spicy and it was good. Some places, the spicy level ends up being mild bit this one has a little kick.

2023-03-13 22:27:42The wait was way too long, and I saw people going away as soon as they learned that they will have to wait for at least 30 minutes. Then after you order the food, you will have to wait again for quite some time. I dont know why the wait time is so long. Its just curry over rice... Honestly, the curry is okay, not spectacular or anything to wow about. The curry sauce is a bit sweet for my taste. There are only 3 levels (or 4) of spiciness, and instead of saying mild, medium, and hot it is 1, 2, 5, and 10. I dont quite understand the numbers when 3, 4, 6, 7, 8, 9 are skipped. I had salad and found many leaves that were not fresh, just withered and dry. Vegetable curry was decent. Chicken cutlets were probably a little better. I dont know if I will ever come back if I have to wait an hour to eat curry...
