The baked salmon is EXCEPTIONAL!! I would definitely have it again.. the dragon and spider roll were ok.I had ordered garlic edamame. There was zero garlic. It was very plain. The mussels were pretty good too..I only drank water, and I had thee smallest, plastic cup. I kept asking for refills. By the 4th or 5th refill, the server brought the check. I paid and left.

Great little place next to a parking structure which makes it easier to visit.We began with their Tuna Tataki. It was fresh and the sesame sauce was delicious.We then ordered three roles, firecracker, tropical and dragon.All rolls were delicious and had great flavor. The center the rolls were all nice and soft and flavorful. They each had their own special sauces.As for their hot tea, it was also delicious but it seemed that they didnt have any tea cups so a red cup did the job.

Came in for lunch with my son. Service was great and the food was very good. We got a Philadelphia Roll, California Roll and Spicy Tuna.

Super delicious food 🍱 and misu soups!!! And they have lovely boba tea tastes 😉 They are nicely located in the center near other restaurants but they don’t have unpleasant overcrowding, and it’s cozy atmosphere inside 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Lady taking order/cashier had attitude for some reason. Never once checked on us once we were served. Food is good though. Prices have increased. Will try other Maki Yakis.

This place is great first time showing up. My orders was to go. The people that help me seem very nice. I was kind of hoping to have a beer before I left. But unfortunately they dont have beer. Which is okay in the food makes up for it thank you so much I enjoyed your food.

Where do I start… My wife and I always get the Chicken Bento w/ a side of Crunchy Shrimp Rolls. This place never fails. Everything from the dipping sauce to the lay drop of fresh Wonton soup is flavorsome. Highly recommend it. Parking can be a bit of a headache unless your willing to pay a small fee to park in the structure across the street. I recommend picking up your food and head to Central Park which is literally around the corner. Thank me later guys.

Very good food! I had the Jessica roll and the crunchy roll and miso soup. We came during lunch time and it was fast service even though the place was pretty busy. Seating area is a bit limited there is probably about 10 tables or so. Parking was a little hard as. There is a few spots in the back and at front is Street parking. Overall... I like the place and the service. It might be best to call ahead and take home your meal to enjoy at your own comfort.

I love this place. It is nice, clean and quiet. The cooks and cashier know who my family and I are and they are always courtesy and polite. Their food is always made fresh and is so good. I would recommend the place to my friends

Horrible. We have passed this place often when in Uptown Whittier and we should have kept going. In comparison to the location in the Whittier Quad, the Uptown version is hot inside and dirty. The glass covered tables were dirty and all portions were smaller. I will never go there again and i will pass on my dissatisfaction to everyone i can. Wait of good money.

Had lunch here today the food is good for the price. Not the fanciest or the best, but draws in the uptown lunch crowd. Seating is limited and the service is limited to mom and pop running the place by themselves.

2 crunch rolls 2 miso soups 2 drinks for $22.50. This was a meal that should have been for 2 people. Very pricey. The roll came in 8 pieces. Do not go here on an empty stomach and an empty pocket. Be prepared to pay a good amount a money for a little amount of food. I called another Maki Yaki same restraint different area in the city. Same city in Whittier in The Quad Shopping stores and they would have charged me $16.50 for everything. They said they have been working for 3 years. Well if they want more customers they are doing a horrible job at it. Its a 1 star strong.

Sushi was soo sloppy and dirty. Avocado smeared all over the sea weed. Hand rolls were falling apart. Very dry attitude. Not a clean spot in here. Even seen flys coming out of floor drain near restrooms.Not worth it. Sushi is not just sushi.

I love the cleanliness and the food here Is fantastic! Its already my 5th time coming since I first tried thIs place. I would recommend anyone that works closeby to come here for lunch or even dinner. The staff is super friendly which makes this maki yaki a 5 star.
