Makisu Sushi in Sacramento

Great sushi place. I actually relied on reviews myself for this one and quickly chose this place based on their 4.6 star rating. Dont quote me on that. Either way, I was not disappointed at all. The cost was lower than expected, and the good was every bit as good as their rating if not better. I got the three item combo bento box lunch special teriyaki and salmon chicken, and spicy tuna rolls. It was as good as that could be. And for $20 bucks at a sushi place, I ate great and was actually full afterward! Definitely recommend this place.

The experience and atmosphere was awesome. We came here while waiting on our truck to be washed and it was a good fit. The food was amazing and spicy edamame was very good.

Grabbed some small bites while doing a car wash next door.Ordered:-2 draft sapporo $7/ea-sierra mist $2.50-salmon skin hand roll $4 good and crispy-spicy tuna hand roll $4, average-jalapeno bomb $8.50 fried wellStaff was friendly and attentive. Not busy for the afternoon. Lots of seating.Easy parking in the plaza.

The food is always amazing. The service even better. Thank you Brenda for being attentive & making us feel like we were at home. Always a must when visitors Sacramento🌺⚘️✨️

Better than all the well known places in Sac! Prices, atmosphere, and service is great. This will be my new go-to from now on! Yum 😋

This place looks like it is struggling and Im not surprised. The food wasnt bad but I wont be back. I came here on a weekday lunch and they barely have a lunch special. Its basically the same thing as dinner minus 90 cents. I ordered a Japanese mango cream soda costing $4.25 and it came in a plastic bottle. For that amount of money I was expecting it to at least be in a glass, I was hoping it was something specially made at the restaurant. The rolls consisted of 4 pieces each. Again I was expecting more here. Perhaps for the 90 cents more expensive bento box dinner you get something more impressive. Ill never know. Many of the booths had ripped seats and when the tables were cleaned a dirty rag was left behind for about 15 minutes. The food took awhile to come out and the service was slow despite the place being empty. I waited 15 minutes after receiving the bill for the waitress to pick up my credit card before getting up to take it to her instead. For a $22 lunch for one person in a beautiful area I really was expecting more.

First Timer...not to busy close to noon. More people arrived as I was leaving. Pleasant atmosphere, wait staff was not very attentive. Would try again.Had the Ahi Tuna on the Appetizer Menu...asked for additional sauce. Tasty.

First time ordering. I got tempura roll & spring rolls. The roll in the pic is not tempura. It got mixed up with another order within the order. Spring rolls are okay. But they did not put chopsticks in my order.

First time here and had a great experience. The host was friendly and brought us to our table and the waitress came and took our order pretty quickly. The rolls are pretty good but the grilled squid was amazing! Perfectly grilled and soft, not at all chewy.
