Great for comfort food, no-frills dining. Ramen isnt fancy, but I find myself going here instead of any of the other gourmet ramen places (like Ippudo next door). Theres never a wait, and theres a huge variety of really good dishes. Chicken creamy pasta noodles are another of my go-to favorites here.
A bit on the expensive side. The food here is decent, and the portions huge. Theyre open late. Service is pretty mediocre, and you can get better food pretty easily for cheaper, but its hard to get that south China comfort food elsewhere.
Taste is good, but dont like the meat. The corn on 1 dish is sour. No parking lot. Walking distance from UC Berkeley. Restroom is upstairs, no elevator. Has restroom on ground floor but it said reserved for handicap.
Food there is really nice. You can have a real Hong Kong style food and some fancy Chinese food there. People are friendly and wont need to wait for your plates for a long time. They play MTV in the restaurant, making there enjoyful.
The first time I was here, the server forgot our order and our food was not even being prepared for the 40 minutes we were waiting for it. We didnt get any real apology and were told that we can leave now.I wanted to give this place a second chance so I went back in a week, and the I was not pleased. My roommates and I shared four different dishes, and non of them were particularly good. Everything was kind of greasy and bland.The service is rather sloppy (as you can imagine from the first server forgetting our order, and also the second time the server took the order on a crumpled receipt) and I will not go back to this place.
Standard Hong Kong style cafe with traditional food and beverages including boba. Place is spacious with a handicap restroom on ground level while regular restroom are upstairs. Workers here take their job too serious and seem conceited. Larger families will be help more often than single diner. It has to do with amount of tips theyre trying to get. Of course, the larger the party, the more theyll get. Baked pork chop over rice and HK style tea with condense milk were average. Could be had in chinatown for less.
Food here is pretty decent. Ive come here a lot and the dishes are very good. I recommend the Peking pork chops, twice cooked pork, and the eggplant.

We ordered a mala bowl. It was only for two people as an afternoon snack but it costed us 50+.

Tastes good, not too oily or salty
I ordered dandan noodles and mapo tofu and almost threw up. I really can’t get enough of this special Hong Kong-style American Sichuan cuisine!
So-so, partial to Cantonese cuisine. And Sichuan twice-cooked pork is actually sweet, so be careful.

2019-01-18 01:22:14Its a tranditional Chinese gourmet restaurant. I had lunch with my friends. We ordered four dishes for five persons. I like the stir-fried rice noddles with beef and pouched fish in chilly oil. I give them five stars not only for the gourmet but nice service. I will recommend my friends to try and I will back here to taste more dishes.

2019-03-16 00:18:33Mar 10 2019 updateI think its time to adjust the stars. I reduce them from 4 to 3. I tried the lamb brisket? menu which was a recommended but more expensive menu (todays special). It was not worth ordering for its price (16-17 ish including tax). Too many bones and too strong taste of chemical ingredients. I was very dissatisfied. There were a lot of veges but not enough to save the 4 stars.Feb 12 2019 updateOk... I ordered a curry beef-ish thing yesterday since there was an offer for a 2$ discount to go and I was very disappointed. You can check one of the pictures I uploaded and you can see that they have fried potatoes in the menu, which you might expect to be in the CHINESE dish the least. If the taste is in harmony with the fried then it would have been fine, which is ABSOLUTELY not true. I dont know about what the authentic Chinese cuisine is, but feels like the menu is not authentic, neither a legit fusion, just a kind of failure of mixing some Chinese things and some ingredients they can get here... I still like this place but will never order the dish.Original:Not a bad place especially you are a fan of chinese food and your place is far from Great China and Heat Cafe, I recommend this place. Its a bit more expensive than Heat Cafe and cheaper than the other, and the food quality is also like in the middle of the two. But its recommendable considering its price. Beef noodle had as much beef as it should have and chow mien had a considerable amount. Both were tasty, except that they were a bit salty.

2019-10-09 01:13:09Been there several times. Food tastes great and meat is always fresh. Pricing is crystal clear as meat 17/lbs and veggies 12/lbs. My friend and I (both > 180lbs) together usually spend less than $36 ^^

2019-11-16 15:26:23I love ur food, but u deceived me 2 times. First time I found it: I ordered a spicy hotpot, I pretty sure I picked potato, and I didnt find any potato after u cooked. So yesterday when I ordered again, I pay attention. I picked 5 pieces beef ball, 3 quail eggs, and several vegetable. After u cooked, it became 3 beef ball and 1 quail egg. You disappointed me so hard and I wont come any more.
