Ordered ahead and picked up in less than 10 minutes. You can tell that it’s a family owned spot and the people that run the shop are very friendly. Great size dishes, food is pretty tasty and they included all the necessary sauces. I am a happy camper! It’s surprisingly hard to find simple Chinese food in this area.

The Honey Walnut Crispy Shrimp was EXCELLENT! Better than the one that Panda Express offers. Big Shrimps, full of flavor and very crispy. Bao Buns with BBQ pork was so so… not worth it, tried better ones before. Waiting time takes too long, but it was a very delicious meal.

We walked here to eat at around 8pm and the are still open up to 10pm.The service is really good, but due to understaff issue, they only have take out and delivery. No dine in available here for the time being.The food preparation is fast and the portion is generous, the flavor is just right. We like it spicy, but it is a bit too mild for us. Next time we will inform them in advance.For the price, portion and service, they are really good. Soft spoken cashier girl and fast finish of the food, it is one of the best options here.We will definitely come back again.By the way, the packing is also very nice. They make sure the food is full and no room left. That is very nice for customers, especially the first time.We love the food.

We ordered from this take-out restaurant because of the rave reviews. There was not one ingredient that tasted fresh. The food looked unappealing and was totally bland. The restaurant does not dine-in, but what is left of it is a wreck. Im sorry, but there is no sense of pride here or food cooked with love.

I always find myself coming here, even when Im not in the area. The food is consistently delicious, and the wait time is always short. I usually order the vegetable lomein and the broccoli with garlic sauce, and theyre both very delicious. I only wish that I found this place when I went to Samohi and SMC since theyre both very close lol. All jokes aside, if youre craving some good American-style Chinese food in Santa Monica, then this is the place for you.

My husband and I started ordering from here six years ago when he lived in Santa Monica. In 2021 he moved and we werent close enough. Today we went to Santa Monica and had to visit! Not only was the food amazing, as usual, but when I explained we were taking it home to the Inland Empire she gave me tips on how to reheat everything! Amazing service, food, 100% perfection! 🥹

This is the closest thing Ive found to NYC fast food Chinese food, in LA. The fact that everyone uses Panda Express as the standard is so weird to me bc its mall food. This place tastes like the days of $5.95 lunch specials through a rotating bulletproof glass wall and Im here for it!!

Ordered takeout and mentioned we were walking and the were so sweet they double bagged our food for the walk home. It was affordable, delicious and exactly what you want in classic Chinese takeout in the neighborhood! Highly recommend

I got delivery of four dishes. It was quick it was hot it was tasty. No its not modern but its comforting and it hits the spot. They dont skimp with the wontons in the soup, the shrimp in the schezuan shrimp or the noodles. The containers came packed to the brim. I had enough for three meals from the container of noodles and shrimp alone. Definitely will be going back again!!

Ive ordered from Mandarin for years always delivery as it was free if you met a certain amount. Now they are charging a $3.00 Delivery & a Convince FEE & then TAXED on those Extra Fees. Im surprised they dont put tip in there also & TAX on that. With 3 items Ordered now the bill is close to $40.00. WOW! Ill Probably not be ordering from Mandarin anymore. 😪🤷

This is exactly the place I was looking for! Walked in and heard the wok in the back as they made our dinner. The shrimp with mixed vegetables was perfect and the fried rice hit the spot. Support them locally by calling and avoiding all the extra fees. Plus the prices are super affordable. This is a Santa Monica gem!

Mandarin is literally the best Chinese food we have ever tasted! The dumplings are spectacular, the shrimp shumai is exquisite! And we can’t wait to try everything else we ordered but we are still in the car—we had to eat some appetizers right away, lol! What an amazing find! This restaurant is awesome, and the owner is so lovely too! Very special place! PS We just finished dinner: General Tao’s Chicken: the best I’ve ever had by a mile! Lo Mein Noodles: perfectly cooked and seasoned! Salmon roll: fresh and delicious! Mandarin is a secret treasure!!! The best!!!

The best Chinese Food on the West Side! Literally, this place has never failed me. They are always so fast, delicious and nice! I always get the same delivery guy and he makes sure to let me know they got my order notes for extra sweet sauce. My favorites to order are the Cream Cheese Wontons and Beef / Chicken Fried Rice. I also ordered a sushi roll, so I’m excited to try that too.

Paid $15 for Mongolian beef, got a box of onions instead. Literally was 30% beef and 70% onions. Standards were low to begin with for a place that calls themselves japanese+chinese food, but wow, did it disappoint even more. People who say this is the best chinese food they have ever had are sad, tasteless people who have never experienced actual food outside of mcdonalds chicken nuggets and unseasoned frozen chicken tenders from their local groceries.

This has been my go to Chinese food place! Food here has been so delicious. My food is always delivered so quickly. Everything here is cooked so well and seasoned. Definitely the best Chinese food I have ever had hands down! I ordered beef broccoli with white rice. The beef tasted fresh and was soft, the beef was very easy to chew. Everything tasted fresh and delicious. Most certainly will have to come back here and eat whenever Im back in LA.

Ive lived in Santa Monica 21 years and Ive tried most of the restaurants here. This is the best Chinese restaurant in town, and maybe in all of Los Angeles. Also, dont hesitate to order their sushi. It always arrives fresh and perfect.

1st impressions count.You got time to lean you got time to clean. Place is unkempt.They should have enticing smells grill some onion, aromatic, not diesel smell of street. Marinate the chicken so its tender, jazz up the jar sauce with fresh veggie and herb dash vinegar. Dont be stingy with things that cost nothing, cabbage,carrots. Have SOME personality, joyous excited, even volatile is better than bored.

Im very picky when it comes to Chinese food the only restaurant I went to has closed after 50 +,My parents knew the owners,Now that I found this restaurant my search is over,The food is SO DELICIOUS!!!! I have turned my friends on to this place and everyone of us go at least 2-3 times a month,Prices are very reasonable,They give you a good amount of food and the containers used for take out are great,No spills!!! Spicy yellowtail roll is yellowtail with a little buffalo sauce drizzled on top. At least hide it inside the roll. Also, drivers cannot follow basic delivery instructions. A fence in front of the house is very different than alley behind the house. Steamed rice had been steaming for quite some time. Orange chicken is from a Costco freezer pack. Garbage.

If you like running roaches on your foot while eating that restaurant is a perfect place to go. The staff will tell you to calm down and don’t worry. It is normal, nothing serious. OK then, people will share the food with roaches in the restaurant.
