Found this little gem and loved it so much we went back again. A little hard to find, (the door is on the back side near the Carl’s Jr drive thru) but worth looking for. The buffet price is so reasonable at $11 and the staff is really friendly. A locals place and everyone seemed to know each each dish and recommended them. Food was fresh and they kept small amounts out and making more to keep it fresh. Worth the drive and we will be going back.

They have a lunch buffet that was really good. Lots of selections. It was reasonably priced and I really appreciate that they have fountain soda refills. Definitely recommend.

Its ok food was ok soup was really good. Cold and hot shrimp good. Salad bar was good. Wish more desert options where available. Oh and sushi was decent and fresh. I would go again probably not get a all you can eat. I just order off menu. Service was it very good no one checked on us or looked to see if we need refill on soda.

Went for the first time ever for lunch, spent about $25 including the tip, on fried rice and kin oak tofu, service was prompt and the woman who took my order was polite and kind. Portions were huge and everything tasted good. Will definitely go back

We recently visited Mandarin House and was disappointed with the food. The General Tso Chicken, in particular, was a major disappointment. It was overly saucy and lacked the bold, spicy flavors that I expect from this dish. The chicken itself also had an odd texture,. While the menu had a variety of options, none of our choices stood out as being particularly good, with each of them being a bit soggy Overall, I would give the food at Mandarin House 2 stars.I should mention we had no complaints with the service, as the wait staff was very attentive and friendly.

Buffets are often a gamble but I this place is fantastic. Make sure you try the salt and pepper shrimp. They make it the real way. Dont peel it just crunch the whole thing down. Shells, legs and especially the tail. Delicious and crunchy!!U

One by one my wife and I are pescatarian so we eat fish but no birds or red meat or pork. The waitress was very careful to make sure the meal was pescatarian for us. Extremely thoughtful and helpful.

Our family was on our way home after spending time at Yosemite and decided to make a stop at Sonora for lunch. I am very pleased with Mandarin House! Not only was the food excellent, the service was great and the environment was calm and clean. The price was appropriate too. I will certainly come back if I’m ever in the area again!

Nice family owned and run business. The food is and tastes fresh and appetizing. They have a lunch and dinner buffet. Even though they are quite similar, I personally like the lunch buffet better--more people results in more variety.Their buffets are almost always the same. You pretty much know what youll eat before you get there, if you are a regular like me.They also have a menu if you would like something else.They have food to meet vegan, vegetarian, pescatarian, meat eater.Id give their ambiance a 7 out of 10. Its pretty decent. They could improve by putting some interesting Chinese cultural displays up. Also, they seem to run a Chinese propaganda channel at all times.People are very friendly and accommodating.

Its an all you eat buffet with good food. Its not as good the best, but its pretty good for a buffet. They also have desserts, but they are Chinese and are drier then you might expect. And the staff are lovely. Overall a good place to eat.

I would give it zero stars if possible. The food is just horrible and EXTREMELY over priced. The chicken kabobs are raw and taste like vomit. The baked tilapia is soggy, the sweet and sour pork drenched in runny sauce and the sea food smells really bad. I have no idea how they stay in business. The best part of my meal was my coke. Buffet price is $15.00 supposedly because they added more sea food Im sorry but that sea food is disgusting. Service was fine and the lady was very nice. I was very upset when I had to pay $70.00 dollars for 3 adults and two children!! Its just insane how they charge such a ridiculous amount when some of the buffet choices are not even edible. I will never go back and will make sure to tell people to stay away. People deserve better food.

Easily some of the best value you can get from a local restaurant. They usually have a wide variety of things on on their buffets, most of which is great. Anything I could perceive as ”iffy” is just based on personal opinion/flavor palate on certain dishes, not because its actually bad. They usually get you seated very quickly & theyre good on refilling your beverage as well.

Its not the best buffet ever, but not bad. Sushi selection is limited and I didnt care for the pot stickers. The salad selections were better than average. Service was very friendly. Id go there again, but I wouldnt go out of my way to get there.

First time here. The lunch variety is pretty good. They have pork, chicken, and beef and they have fish and shrimp, a salad bar, and dessert bar. Reasonable price and value for your money at $8.99 for lunch. Ill be back to try their dinner menu, and the weekend dinner menu.

We love this place. It is the only Chinese buffet in Sonora so we are very glad its also amazing! Super tasty, affordable, fresh with great sea food offerings. Sometimes the dishes can cool off a bit quickly, hence 4 not 5 stars, but its a go to place for sure!

Multiple shrimp 🍤, sushi 🍣, broccoli beef, won tons, fried rice 🍚, noodles 🍜 bacon wrapped crab 🦀, honey 🍯 mayonnaise chicken🐓, chicken 🐔 in foil, more chicken, fish 🐟, ribs, sweet & sour pork, hard boiled eggs, egg flower 🌼 soup, sweet & sour soup, almond cookies, pudding, cake, ice cream, hot tea 🍵, iced tea, soda, juice, beer 🍺, wine 🍷 & more! The lady 👩 who helped us was friendly & polite 😃. The eating area, food area & the ladies restroom 🚻 were all clean. The decor was very nice, with glass (crystal like) light covers, waving cats🐈 and some detailed wood 🌋🌱🏯🐉carvings🐠🌊 🐲between glass.

Food was decent. Not the best Chinese food in Tuolumne, but not bad. Went around 6pm, and some of the items had been sitting for a bit, but all of it was hot and didnt appear or taste stale. Not a huge selection on the buffet, but all the main staples were there along with a few things I dont see often on a buffet.

Dont waste your time going anywhere else, this is it. I was born and raised in chicago and we had a china town 2nd to none. The food, the businesses, the people, just fantastic. This places looks are deceiving because the food is A+. Im sure everyone has their bad days but this place delivers, consistently. Thanks for being the best chinese food since i have left chicago ♥️

Friendly owners but they use MSG in their food which if you are sensitive you will be left with a migraine and vomiting. This is why the 2 stars. If your food is naturally good why you need to add artificial chemicals to make your food taste great???
