Absolutely fabulous breakfast! I had the lemon ricotta pancakes, and oh my God they were so good! My daughter had the banana flambe waffle which was another winner.

My gosh, what a awesome experience. We have stayed in Sonora for 3 nights and just happened to come across this place the morning we were heading out. If I knew this place was here from the beginning I would have never went anywhere else! Super friendly staff, clean restaurant, and amazing food! The day we came in they had a breakfast chimichanga that was stuffed with eggs, cheese, red potatoes, and chicken fried steak pieces, with chipotle gravy. I got a side of fruit with it and my god it was amazing. My girlfriend got the pineapple upside down pancakes and a side of bacon and it was scrumptious.I recommend getting here a little earlier in the morning (7-8) as it did get pretty busy around the point we left (9:30am).Great job guys, we loved this place🙂

We came to Mandy’s Cafe after visiting Columbia State Park. The place was super busy, but we didn’t have to wait long to sit down. And OMG! I wanted to order every single plate I saw coming out of the kitchen! Very generous portions, too. I ordered potato pancakes! All the food we ordered there was really delicious!

I had an amazing breakfast at this restaurant! They offer gluten-free bread and buns, which was a huge plus for me. The staff was super nice and attentive, and the prices were reasonable. The place looked like a dinner straight out of a movie, adding a unique and enjoyable touch to the overall experience. Highly recommended!

Conveniently located near Angels Camp, on the way to Yosemite/Bass Lake. Great selection on the breakfast/brunch/lunch menu. Their coffee was on point. Friendly service. The parking is limited and fills up quickly. The place gets quite busy on weekends.

Shortly after placing our order the power went out throughout the whole restaurant. The staff accommodated everyone efficiently. We were thinking of a plan B for breakfast, but fortunately our meal was done and we were able to eat. The servings were filling and fixed just right. The waitresses were topping off coffee, before the pot went cold. We couldnt get a soda refill since the machine was out, so our waitress took it off our tab. Since the register was also out, they were letting local customers come back to pay at their convenience. Luckily we still had cash, as we are not local. It was nice to see how everyone handled the situation with grace. You only find that in a small town.

The wait wasnt long for my husband and I, even though there were 4 parties ahead of us waiting to be seated. The atmosphere is upbeat and friendly. Weve had the same hostess and server, the 2 times weve visited. Theyve both been great. The food is excellent. When I asked for decaf coffee, instead of the regular coffee they instantly gave me, it wasnt a big deal. The waiter was nice about it and said, lets not take a chance, after I asked if it was Decaf. They indicate decaf coffee with a paper coaster they put underneath the mug. This way, if you want a refill, they know to pour Decaf coffee into your cup. I thought that was brilliant. Both times weve visited have been for breakfast. The wait time to get our food has been very reasonable. When we eat out, its usually for a good breakfast. I read the reviews, before deciding on Mandys, and I have to say that I was very impressed and will be going back there.

Worth the wait! Large, delicious portions and quick service. It is the spot for breakfast if you are staying near Columbia/Sonora. We enjoyed their stuffed french toast, hash brown heaven and rene skillet. Solid, black coffee too and they keep your cup full!

So incredibly AMAZING!!! All the food was fresh, so full of flavor, and just all around perfect. Great atmosphere, nice and cool inside. I had the chicken apple sausage skillet.. with biscuits and gravy..yum!!! Mango iced tea was so good and refreshing!! Even pancakes were great!! Awesome service too. 100% worth the 25 minute drive. We will be back!!

Amazing! The staff was super friendly but not in a creepy way, which is always nice. Nothing compares to Mandy’s. I moved away and I still fantasize about the breakfasts here. Best breakfasts ever. Fluffy pancakes, perfect sourdough, a wide variety of great breakfast choices, and all in (very) generous portions. I haven’t ever gone for lunch but I can’t imagine breakfast is their only game. I recommend the hash brown heaven. Looks a right mess, tastes like the name says: heaven. The pancakes and sourdough are also to die for.

This place is golden! Came with friends for breakfast and so glad we did. Food was excellent! Dining room was very clean and lively. Service was the best, friendly and prompt. Every dish ordered among us was done right and tasted great. They have an obvious commitment to quality as I could see most if not all the dishes used fresh ingredients. Corn beef hash was definitely fresh made. Biscuits and gravy dont disappoint. Omelets...wow! Portions are big so imho the prices are fair.It shares parking with a mini mart and gas station, so there is good parking for all. We went on a Sunday and waiting was not more than 15 min. It is right off of a main road and on a slight curve, so if its your first time, be careful not to miss the turn.

The tri-tip omelette was to die for. The cooks KNOW what they are doing. The hashbrowns and strips of grilled bell peppers were as perfect as the omelette.If you are anywhere near the area make sure to treat yourself nicely by stopping.

Delicious breakfast!! I went there two mornings in a row. Mexican-inspired dishes and the avacado toast are amazing. Also ordered the special they had going (upside down pineapple pancakes). Cafe is super clean and well-decorated. Staff are very friendly. Want to go back.

Mandys Breakfast House is a local secret and Favorite. They serve up delicious dishes that will keep you coming back for more. While I didnt get to try any of their breakfast dishes, I did get to get lunch bites. Every order that arrived at our table was very tasty and will keep us coming back. My recommendation is to get there early as there is always a line and they close at 2:00 PM. Heres to a great meal.

Only complaint I can think of is the parking is limited in front of the restaurant but there are more places to park within the same parking area just a couple steps added in. Gas Station is right there also so makes it easy to fill up your car and your stomach 🥰

I drive truck through Columbia CA 6 days a week. I have eaten at quite a few places in the area. I have to say that Mandys has the best food and excellent service. Their prices are vary reasonable. MANDYS IS THE BEST IN TUOLUMNE COUNTY! HANDS DOWN THE BEST!

They had me at biscuits Diablo. Chipotle gravy with chorizo on biscuits, sign me up and give me the tshirt. I havent had anything here that I didnt want to lick the plate after. Id pitch a tent in the back just to smell the kitchen all day. They deserve more than 5 stars, youre treated like family. It can get quite busy but its worth the wait.

The perfect diner in the middle of nowhere. Love their senior smaller portions. Breakfast or lunch any time they are open (until 2). Open 7 days a week. Some of my favorites are the enchilada omelet with chunks of pork and green sauce, potato patties and waffles. For lunch try the tuna melt and soup (chicken tortilla and clam chowder are my favorites but soups change daily). The club sandwich is huge and good. Try the churro waffle. I liked it without the butter or syrup, just whipped cream. The service here is friendly, exceptional and fast.New: dinner thur to Sunday and they are applying for a beer and wine license. Dinner includes a lot of Mexican plus the usual sandwiches and salads.

I figure I have eaten over 20,000 breakfasts in my life. The best ten I have had are at Mandys. ITS ALL GOOD! One standout is the chicken fried steak and eggs. Its a real beef steak breaded in house daily. The flavor is terrific! The French toast sandwich is just like a Monte Cristo, and the turkey and ham are full of fresh flavor. I drive about 30 minutes and pass at least 8 other places to go to Mandys.

I highly recommend this restaurant. The portions are very generous and the food tastes great! Loved the huevos rancheros and oatmeal/blueberries/toasted walnuts. The coffee tasted incredibly wonderful! The ambience is very comfortable. I think our breakfast experience was enhanced mostly because of the waitress staff & cashier who were very friendly and courteous. They checked in on us just enough times to be helpful. I liked how they were happy with smiles and also friendly with each other…a family feel. Very rarely is this type of interaction seen in other restaurants. I attribute their warm and professional service in making my breakfast experience the BEST!

Worst dining experience ever. We placed our order. When our food arrived everyone got what they ordered except one. The plate was supposed to be a mushroom Swiss burger with bacon. What he tried to serve was a burger with garlic Swiss and bacon. I politely explained that is not what I ordered. His response was they were out of mushrooms. I asked for a bacon Swiss burger with no garlic. After 15 minutes waiting patiently the server returned apologetic about the wait. I asked why was it taking so long to get. His response was I had to wait for all the rest of the orders to be cooked before they could make mine they could not expedite it to the front after they messed up my order from the get go. My girlfriend gave me half her French dip. That had no flavor at all. Reminded me of bad hospital food. Finally once everyone at our table finished their food the server returned with a a plate of food that was completely wrong again. The hamburger had American cheese not Swiss. At that point I refused the wrong order a second time and left the restaurant quietly. When the rest of my party met me outside they informed me that I was not welcome back. As if I would waist my time with terrible food that I would not feed to my dog. I would never expose my friends or family to such a incompetent wait and kitchen staff.

The wait was a little long, its not their fault their so good! It was worth the wait. The staff is incredibly nice and accommodating and the food was delicious. Both egg Benedict combos are delicious and so are there omlettes. Just remember, this place is always packed so be patient! The food is worth it, its probably the best breakfast I place in town.

When I decided to try Mandys I made sure to be there before 9 as it was Saturday morning. Do to Covid the tables are outside. There was a 2 top open so I was seated immediately. I ordered a veggie omelet served with fruit and one pancake instead of toast. I was so very pleased that the eggs were not Brown and it was so fresh and delicious! The fruit was fresh the veggies in my omelette were done perfect and the table and condiments clean. The service was awesome!!anyone who came to my table was very friendly 😊I highly recommend stopping in if you are a traveler such as myself or just a local wanting a really good meal.😋

Terrible experience here as always. I keep coming back hoping the food will get better. The eggs are completely gross tastes like they are made from McDonals processed food. The ladies who work are very elderly so everything is very slow pace. When I finally paid I had to go to the register and she gave me the wrong amount cash back which finally made me had enough.

My girlfriend lives right down the road from Mandy’s and it is our absolute go to on weekends. The prices are reasonable, the portions are huge and the coffee is always great. The menu has great variety and you will find something for everyone in your party. It’s great for groups and if you can hold off long enough long enough on Saturday morning, go between 11 and 11:30 and you’ll be able to walk right in to get a table. There can be a wait on the weekends, but usually not more than 15 minutes. Great food, great service, couldn’t recommend Mandy’s any more highly.

A cute little gem near the historic State Park of Columbia. Mandys food is not only delicious, but the staff is friendly, attentive to details, and goes above what most restaurants expect of their staff. The experience was that of a diner from back in time, where everyone is welcomed with a smile and treated like family. The portions are large, so be prepared to come in hungry. Kid friendly, delish quick bite. Definitely recommend, will be coming back on our next visit.

Huge, delicious portion of fish and chips! Yum! Husband had BLT with Claam Chowder. He was happy. I tried his chowder, and it was good. I saw a LOT of bacon in that sandwich! And, I got biscuits and gravy to go, for todays breakfast! Wonderful service, place is great!

Phenomenal food and even better service! This is one of our favorite places. Breakfast is great and so are the burgers. The steak salad is another favorite! If I don’t mention the Stuffed French Toast, my youngest will never forgive me. P.S. - It’s excellent!

Restaurants have it so hard right now; but Mandy’s Restaurant in Sonora was top notch! The tables are outside with socially distancing in mind under a large outdoor tent. The service was impeccable and the food delicious !! Glad we ate there. So good. 👍🏻

In just one word, its OK.Their service is fast, staff friendly too. Plenty of food, served up without any flavor though, is provided. Their restrooms are nice, and their parking is ok and free. This is such a homey place to have a meal!! We love bringing our kids here and enjoying the generous portion doled out by a friendly staff. The Motherlode Omelette was delicious! And my coffee was topped off and hot the entire time(big points in my book!!) The fruit bowl was fresh and ripe berries, melon, apple and pineapple! Price is good for portion size. The acoustics lend to a very noisy dining experience if the room is busy! Not irritatingly loud, but just be prepared for noisy!!

My husband and I just moved to the area and this place came highly recommended by friends (one whos a chef) and residents of the area.Mandys did not disappoint! Weve been a handful of times for breakfast and every dish has been amazing. I was especially impressed with the fruit cup side dish. I know - whats the big deal about fruit? I expected the usual restaurant array: honeydew, cantaloupe, maybe some pineapple and a slice of strawberry if I was lucky. Not at Mandys! My fruit cup was graced with kiwi, watermelon, blueberries, strawberries, grapes, plus the expected cantaloupe and pineapple. On top of the amazing cornucopia of fruit, it was clear that it wasnt just spooned willy-nilly into a bowl, but was carefully arranged. The simple fact that they took such care with a fruit cup highlights just how much care goes into each meal. Ive had several of their eggs benedict options, as well as a traditional eggs and bacon breakfast, and have never been disappointed.With exceptional food and great service, the place is never empty. That being said, the most weve ever had to wait for a table is 15 minutes.This place comes highly recommended for a reason!

The breakfast here was one of the best Ive had in years. I liked the creative menu and the out of the ordinary items offered. I got the bell pepper that was stuffed with bacon, cheese and spinach topped with two eggs fixed just the way I like them. For the side I choose fruit salad and was pleasantly surprised to find several kinds of fresh berries including blueberries as well as fresh cherries and grapes. We had flown in looking for a breakfast place and were not disappointed. We will be back for sure!

Now this little place gets packed. The food tastes great and you get large portions. I think for me the only drawback is that they dont make dinner. You can get breakfast and you can get lunch and youre going to love it. Its right down the street from Columbia State Park and when youre done eating your breakfast or lunch you can head right over to Columbia and pan for gold

Mandy actually helps serve and stuff and everyone is super welcoming. Only complaint is that the coffee is weak as a limp noodle and I hear they just changed cooks. Local Ma & Pa style restaurant. Staff is kind. Laid back pace. Can seat a good amount of people, wide isles for tables and window seats are mostly booths. Handicap accessible parking and bathrooms. The biscuits and gravy is grrrrreat and HUGE PORTIONS.
