Manhattan Bread & Bagel in Manhattan Beach

Waited almost 25 min today around 10am, only to keep asking if they maybe missed my order. It was not that packed and saw few people after me get their orders. They packaged a bagel and called my name but it was not my order. They also didn’t seem to know how to make the iced latte (why have it on the menu). Later one of them shared they were understaffed but there were 3 of them prepping food and 2 bagging. I ordered 1 onion bagel with cc and an iced latte.I ended up with no latte and a plain bagel. They refunded my money and the one tall young guy was apologetic, but he ended up just standing there. I asked that I still would like the bagel I ordered 25 min ago and the other guy found an onion toasted ready so they handed it to me and I just left.This is feedback for the owners, there has to be a more efficient way to complete orders and serve quickly for a bagel shop vs having your staff be hostage to two machines, the young guy tried to explain but I don’t need to know all that as a customer. Everyone else was just side eyeing, looked annoyed and not saying or doing much, which left a bad taste for wanting to come back again.Cute space outside to sit with pup, the bagel was good but the service is extremely slow and behaviors are not what I expected which prevents me from wanting to return again.

Great atmosphere, the service was great, amazing employees, and also has the best lox sandwich I’ve ever had in my life. I usually go around once a month. And it’s always just as good as before.

Love the bagels. Imo, the best in Southern California.The staff on 11/2 leave a lot to be desired. The attitude if you ask for something made fresh or not already pre-packaged makes you feel like you’re a bother.We’d go more often if we could be assured our orders were correct & the staff (especially the cashiers) were nicer.

Excellent food, we usually order Veggie Sandwich, bagel, scone, coffee and orange juice (just one time because the organge juice is not fresh). Everything else is amazing over there. We go there literally every week. Oscar is amazing, he remembers people by name which is so amazing.

The bagels were very good but service takes a while.

Phenomenal NY Style Bagels. The Garlic and Poppy were just perfect. The great crust on the outside protects the soft, chewy center. The 2nd picture is of the lox and cream cheese. The salmon was the best weve had on this one-month road trip around Southern California.What gave this five stars was that the general manager, maybe the owner, was working the register on this busy Sunday. It seemed that he had less than an entire staff today, given the long lines. I saw him run around and do everything, even empty the trash bins as they were filling up. This place was mobbed!Bonus, they do fresh bread every day, see picture, so they are more than a bagel shop.

Under filled and over priced.Ordered two salmon bagels, and to my disappointment, the salmon, onion and capers contained was a joke (pictures attached).The bagel tasted of cream cheese and tomato only, you’d be hard pressed to identify any taste of salmon or onion.

Bagels & pastries are very good - however, service and wait times have gotten really bad. Long lines are common, since only one cashier position is open at prime morning time.

Good bagels, good cream cheeses, nice selection!! Very busy every time I go. Good orange juice. Very friendly people! Some outdoor seating, dogs and babies everywhere

Do you really think it should take 20 minutes and cost $15 for x2 egg bagels with loxshmear? This is including tip. There are about 10 people behind the counter here, I just dont understand how toasting a bagel and putting shmear on it should take 20. Shakeshack sometimes only takes 8 minutes and thats a burger with fries!!If you can, stick to Western Bagel in the Valley, they toast your bagel immediately in front of your eyes and takes 5 minutes!!How can you be asking for tip with this kind of wait time for something so simple.Additionally, there is no clear signage stating where to order/what kind of bagel/schmear.
