We were looking for a different restaurant that let us down. We Google Marias. We are very excited about every bit of this restaurant. Friendly and let people walk in to the best meal we had on vacation. We even took bites of each others plates. Place is so nice looking. A great surprise find.

The waiter was very attentive and friendly. The food wasnt good at all. Maybe it was just at that location but we had a bad experience with our dinner. The chicken Alfredo was very disappointing. It was really watery and the chicken seemed like low grade processed (fake meat😝)My spaghetti was super salty and the whole thing was not worth the price at all. Ill never eat there again.

We visited on a Monday during odd hours, after lunch, but before dinner could get started. Anyways garlic bread was amazing, good crunch but very soft. My dish was a classic chicken Alfredo definitely exactly what I expect very traditional. Lasagna was a good portion little on the sweeter side, that might have been the meat used perhaps pork and much Italian seasoning. Food was great, definitely would come back

I called on 11/18 and asked if I came in before 9pm, could we still dine in. I was told that we could, and I asked to pre-order and pay for the meals ahead of arriving. I was told that I couldnt and to just get there by 9pm. I arrived at 8:59 and ordered my food that came to $90+ and left a $22 tip and actually never had service!!! I was told that it had to be a to go order! The manager was not very friendly and seemed like he did not want my business!!! I was working all day and unfortunately couldnt get there til late. My mother was here from Ohio, and I was bragging about how amazing this restaurant was to her. We ended up getting the order to go, but we will never be back!!!

I had Uber Eats delivery: the Pappardelle with Italian sausage, Marias meatballs, a side salad, rosemary bread and garlic knots. The quality, temperature, flavor, was delicious, outstanding! Thoroughly enjoyed! Will definitely order again, or maybe dine-in next time.

Not a good experience. The waiter made us feel like we were bothering him, when he got my order wrong (wrong pasta type) he said I guess we can change it, well, unless youre ok with the wrong pasta. Also, there was a party that was VERY loud that made the atmosphere more like a pizza parlor. Im sure its a better place than this experience, May be worth another try.

The most delicious, garlicky Arrabiata sauce. Had a drink and an app, fried calamari, which was really good, while waiting for the hubs to get out of a meeting.Nice little Italian joint with great service. Their wine and beer pours are a bit sus or shall I say, short but it wouldn’t stop me from coming here. I’ll just order a bottle next time to get my monies worth.Will definitely return.

I used to love Maria’s but I do notice that the food and service has been going downhill from the last two recent visits and this loyal guest is finally done with Maria’s! I was at Maria’s last week having lunch and ordered the pizette with the mushrooms and the pizza had too much sauce and cheese and the mushrooms were falling off the pizza and it was like eating a regular cheese pizza and the crust was soggy! I went for dinner this weekend and had the antipasto salad with no artichoke hearts and no Peppercinis! A full giant salad but left me with severe diarrhea when I arrived home! I was there for a hour and a 45 minutes and it seemed that the service took forever from getting my dessert to getting my check to pay the bill!

If I could give them zero stars I would. They were extremely rude. I ordered $75 worth of takeout and they didnt put bread or utensils in the bag. When I went to pick it up I asked for bread they said I needed to pay $1. for each packet of their bread. Which makes no sense...because if I was sitting there for dinner they dont charge for bread....but whatever I wound up paying $3 for the bread and no one bothered to even thank me. I will never return.

7/17/2021Important to please note that his review has nothing to do with the Marias as a whole, and I really hate to leave a poor review for Marias Italian Kitchen since we have been loyal customers for decades. West Los Angeles at first and since, my family and I have always gone out of our way to find a Marias location when wanting great Italian food. However this evening when my wife and I walked into the Encino restaurant at 8.30 we were greeted by a rather displeasing young woman whose initial greeting was were closing a 9.00 PM. I was somewhat taken back but maybe she had a long day, so I chose to just ignore the comment. We then sat inside where we realized it was incredibly cold. There was only one other couple at another table. I asked the same young woman if she could warm it up a touch, and we were curtly told that it needed to be cold for health reasons. We then moved to the small outdoor patio which was great. The server was very impatient for us to order and my wife wanted a couple of minutes to read the menu. When we decided to order the Parmigiana we were informed it would take 15-20 minutes. I looked at my watch and asked what happens if its after nine and were here, do we have to leave? Her response was a rude YES At that point I requested her name which she was not quick to respond but she told me it was Melissa. We then got up and went to another restaurant close by, where we were greeted warmly. I am aware that servers are difficult to come by these days, but so are loyal customers! To many other options to put up with this kind of attitude. Will certainly continue to patronize Marias but not at this location for sure.

This establishment has a phenomenal atmosphere, very lively and family friendly. I was lucky enough to get Hannah as my waitress, she was very friendly and super accommodating! Marias really made my group feel welcomed and cared for, especially JJ he would come by and make sure we were all happy. He also made for some great conversations. Such a lovely place will definitely come back, Especially for JJ and Hannah!!

When my family and I went there in August the experience was more than stellar. The service, the food, the staff and everything was amazing. Today unfortunately everything was horrible. I could actually say that it ruined my husbands fathers day family dinner. The only good experience was how awesome the service was from the bus boy.When our food did come out we were very happy. But here is where it goes from ok to the worst experience we have ever had. As we were about to eat the AC came on but at really cold temperature. We told our waiter about it and she said she was going to go and turn it down and we were ok with that and quite satisfied.The waiter came out and told us the AC should come off in a couple minutes. We felt that was great service thank goodness. As we were about to eat it seemed as if the AC went from cold to colder at higher speed specifically aimed at our table. My food went from really hot to cold in a matter of five minutes. My husband did not finish his food because it got cold right away and my son was freezing I got really bad sick stomach pain because if my IBS I told them but this food made me really sick Im still in pain.When we told the waiter she brought us a hot cup of water telling us we could use it to keep us warm. Who does that!!We asked to speak to the manager. He came out and we explained the situation and he did not even show any interest in what we had to say. His solution was to offer a complimentary dessert. As he walked away he looked at the staff and rolled his eyes to show as if we were crazy. Oh and they charged us full price!!!He could of offered a discount on the wasted food or a free meal for our next visit, but with his smug attitude and the fact they ruined my familys fathers day dinner is enough for us to never return. It is a shame that this happened because we used to really like this place but I guess the staff has changed and do not care about their customers any more.

The most delicious Chicken Marsala you will ever taste. Outrageously good lasagna, meatballs, everything. I’ve been ordering for delivery during the pandemic and they’ve been great. One meal arrived lukewarm, and when I called, they guy was so nice and immediately refunded me the full amount. Love Maria’s!

Place was practically empty but still took a while to have someone get us seated, server came by to get a drinks order and did not return for 15 minutes for a water and soda order, after ordering and waiting another 25 minutes, we were only served bread and drinks. This is not the first time Ive experienced similar issues at this restaurant, and I only returned to provide them an opportunity to improve, but this place suffers from horrible service and almost no communication between staff members.

When i go out to places i always look for local restaurants and i came across this place. I went right before everything started shutting down for Covid 19 and i was glad to find this place open late. I was pretty closed to the hotel i was staying at and due to the fact that i was craving italian food i was calling nearly every place and they wore kind enough to allow us to come in before closing. The portions of the food were HUGE and the bread was amazing. They had very nice decor and appeared to make their own Marias Red Wine. When i go back i defiantly have to see this place again the food is amazing and the service too.

Rafael was great he was extremely accommodating. I brought my 1yr old granddaughter, I ordered the kids plate with vegetables and Rafael mentioned that the carrots might be a little crunchy, he quickly ran into the kitchen to ask the Chef (Carlos) if he could over cook the carrots, so that they would not be crunchy. When our food arrived it was perfectly well cooked for my granddaughter. My grandughter and I were extremely happy with our meals and will be coming in frequently. My family and I really like this place but today was different. I went with my little boy and I have never felt the way the Tall, white male server, behind the counter made me feel. I asked for a box to take my pizza left overs and no one ever came to check up on me or even to offer the BILL. So, I walk up with my son to pay to the register and as Im walking the white male server behind the counter says Uh. Do you wanna take care of your bill before you go?. I said Yea, thats what Im gonna do but I dont have my bill. I feel that his attitude towards me were prejudice because of how I looked, I wasnt looking nice like everyone else. I mean just got out of work, picked up son from school, were both dirty from days activities, and were Hispanic. Does that ring a bell? Ive come here many times and paid over $80 in family dinners and this guy makes the presumption that Im about to walk out without paying my bill. I dont like to feel oh its cause Im Mexican type of way, but I study prejudice in my major. Other than that, my pizza was GREAT!

Went there recently, right after the lifting of the last order to keep us safe from Covid (which Im 100% in favor of btw). The Angel hair Pomodoro was fantastic. The price wont break the bank either.Although Im not the biggest fan of Italian, I am a big fan of any pasta, including Thai, Chinese you name it.(Thai review coming soon!). First off the help was very nice.The food was a different story. I ordered the manicotti and the server told me it would take 20 minutes. I did not mind the wait. It comes and its a very small portion for the price and it was over cooked. It was reheated in an oven for 20 minutes and made earlier that day. I cook. I can tell. I next order a fettuchini Alfredo and all it is is noodles and watered down sauce that pretty much made me feel nauseous after for about an hour. I am very surprised to find food this terrible in the city of Los Angeles. Very disappointing.

Marias Italian Kitchen in Encino is warm, comfortable and smells good! Their Italian food is well prepared and tastes great. They bring warm garlic bread to the table with oil and vinegar to start. I can eat this bread until it is coming out of my ears, it is so good!I had their short ribs over risotto, someone else had their brussel sprouts appetizer, someone else had their special mushroom risotto and everything was really, really yummy! I am writing this review on behalf of a large group of friends and ex coworkers that meet annually for dinner. This is our second year eating at this establishment. Very inexpensive and delicious. Ily, our server, for the second year in a row, is efficient and graceful under pressure. Big kudos to the management for hiring her. The manager, Victor, worked with us closely while we planned our affair, following up with us over the phone and email. There is no other place to my knowledge so close and accessible to my budget and be able to enjoy a nice crispy calamari with a diavolo sauce.. Followed by a delicious chicken marsala dish accompanied by a side of angel hair pomodoro and a side of garlic parmesan veggies.. Yummeee.. And to finish this delicious plate? Having a double espresso with a couple of spoons of vanilla bean Italian ice cream.. THATS WHY I LOVE THIS PLACE..
