Update - can no longer count how many times we visited our now favorite Filipino restaurant in Orange County. We finally found a resto that truly tastes like food at home.Our favorites here:* Beef pares - top favorite! The tastes brings back memories of braised beef in Binondo, Greenhills and Bacolod.* Goto litid- very good* chicken savory* tokwa’t baboy* dinuguan* pansit combination (that is, bam-i)

1/30/2022 = 4 Star = i like the old style of Lomi the ticker soup . Just less star because of that . Still coming back .2017 = 5 Star = good food, good people, most I like is Lomi.

We arrived after 3pm after soak city. So not expecting much. Lets start with the high light. Lumpiang is good you got 12 little pieces to the order which is the same as 6 else where.. Lechon kawali is ok, not marinated and tastes very bland . Bangus is cooked to perfection except it has fish scale still on the skin. And now the biggest disappointment is the garlic rice. Its over cooked low quality rice with some fried garlic flicks mixed in. It is so bad we did not eat anymore after the 1st bite.

Barrio Fiesta will have to run for their money on this, the most down-to-earth, comparative dishes that have equal quality of food and service!Their dishes have the authentic flavor of Ongpin, Binondo in Manila. Beef Mami, Tokwat-Baboy, Savory Chicken, Taho (Soft Tofu dessert) are 100% perfect that brought me back to childhood memories with family. I cant wait to get their Pancit Canton, Pancit Sotanghon, Goto-Lugaw, Arrozcaldo, Beef Pares, etcetera... will travel for their menu offering for sure!

I often get food from this place because of its convenience when I come home from work. Tonight, I ordered tokwat baboy for pick up and after arriving home, I find out that they didnt include the sauce. Called to complain and they said they forgot to include the sauce and wanted me to come back and pick it up. I explained that we didnt live in the area and would be too much of a hassle having to drive back. Rowena, the person who answered, didnt even offer anything at all for their mistake and even told me to tell them the next time I ordered to remind them to give me the sauce for the tokwat baboy I ordered tonight. Huh?!?. I asked them what if Id order food next week? What would the sauce be for? She told me that thats all she could do because I wouldnt go back to pick it up. I made a comment that Id never order food from them again and I was answered oh ok,thats fine! Very unprofessional and no accountability whatsoever!! Thanks for ruining my dinner!!

We drove here from from Covina area just to get the taho. We had a taste of this place a while back, but we wanted more. How much more? We bought a whole gallon lol. Very similar to the one you get from the street vendors in the Philippines. I know this place has other stuff, but I haven’t tried them yet. We will go in the future for other stuff. We are very happy.

Unimpressed for my first visit to this venue. Food is OK but a bit expensive for the amount they serve. Meat seems to be of low quality. I noticed that they wont give you napkins unless you ask, I noticed it twice because it happened to us and to another table. Menu lacks pictures and dish description about their dishes for people who are not familiar with Filipino food.

It was crowded here in a Friday night but the service kept up with the number of customers. Many people order to go and a mom and her daughter were nice enough to give up their table since they were just waiting for their to go order.The Filipino spaghetti was good with the normal sausage and sweet sauce. I had the longsilog which was tasty with garlic fried rice and over medium eggs. The langonisa was slightly overdone but not bad at all.The portions of the pancit looked massive though we did not order because there was only 2 of us. They also ran out of pork asado siopao. It must be good here because everyone was ordering it. The halo-halo was just ok because it did not come with ube ice cream. It was odd with the corn though. The server was thoughtful enough to give us 2 bowls because we were sharing. Thank you.

I had the traditional Pancit, it was delicious and fresh made. Staff was very warm and kind.Looking forward to returning and trying more items on the menu. Glad to find a filipino place in o.c. that doesnt have the food premade and sitting under warmers for half the day.

Service is the only stat they get. Just barely. They forgot to give me utensils. The pancit miki bihon was sub par. The chicken and pork tasted old and dry. There was barely any Chinese sausage or fish balls. The cabbage was cut too big. Worst of all they couldnt even give me a real wedge of lemon. Instead they gave some watered lemon concentrate. Yuk. A waste of money.

It is definitely inexpensive with quick and great service. Thats all the good I can really say about this place. The food was below mediocre. The only decent food was the Shanghai (lumpia) and if there was one thing I can recommend that I had, it would be that and only that. Maybe also the garlic rice was the only other possible redeeming foods there.The chicken was very dry and the fried skin tasted a little of fish. The chicken meat itself wasnt very appetizing either. Im guessing they fry fish and chicken and eggs for that matter in the same pan out fryer as even the eggs had a weird fishy taste as well.The sago gulaman lacked sweetness that other Filipino restaurants have in the drink, which could have been a plus, however it still has a weird taste beyond that. The boba inside the drink want even properly prepared about was a bit hard and unchewable.We came here to try out another Filipino restaurant and unfortunately regretted not going to one of the normal places we go to.

Thick, fork tender chunks of beef, 3 pork wonton, cabbage & green onions over thin noodles in a savory broth. Ahhhhhh, the soothing comfort of a warm bowl of soup. Hearty, rich & a great addition to your meal. Should be noted that a serving isnt large enough to be shared, IMHO.Pancit bihon-A Filipino classic, Marias pancit bihon is just like how Mom makes it. Spritz some lemon over this bad boy, and its all good. Its good fresh & hot, but I also like it cold as a leftover. Im crazy like that ;pPork sisig-This was the only downer during our visit. While the flavor was there, the pork meat wasnt the tender, choice bits from the head of the pig. I found the meat to be rather tough. Also, the cook was a little heavy handed with the salt, as this dish was a tad too salty. Enough to give a pucker with each spoonful. Including those aforementioned gripes & having an additional egg on top costing an extra 50 cents, I cant really recommend the pork sisig.Service was good! Our food didnt take too long to come out, our waters were refilled & Maria, herself, even provided a bowl of complimentary broth to go with our meal.Ample seating, with 1/2 booth seating on the right & tables taking up the rest of the restaurant. 2 flatscreen TVs with Filipino programming are available for your viewing pleasure. Parking is in a private lot at the Superior Grocers marketplace.Filipinos & Filipino food lovers unite! For those looking for some good Pinoy food, your search is over. Marias Kusina offers up all the favorites for not a lot. Not a fan of the pork sisig, you cant wrong with their soup or pancit dishes. Came here for Fathers day. The family liked it, although I personally found some things to be a tad too salty. Their bellychon (Sunday special) is worth ordering, especially because of the soy sauce it comes with. They are known for their various kinds of noodles, so make sure you order one of their pancits.

Our favorite place to eat! Filipino Resto at Buena Park Called Marias Kusina Authentic Pinoy food. Too bad I dont have a picture of the previous batches of our food here because I updated my phone 😆😅 but the best thing here is that their staff is kind, you can call to pick up the food.
