The service is great. Nice little restaurant. Seems like all the plates are made to order. The chicken enchiladas I think have way too much chicken though, thats all it is actually, chicken tortilla and sauce. The tamales are delicious. For the chips and salsa, you should request the spicy because the mild is mostly just fresh tomatoes.
Wow and Wow. Was staying overnight at the Marina Inn and searched for a place for dinner. Fortunately, I chose a winner with Marina. My wife had an Italian Chicken Dinner and I had a Mexican chicken dinner. Also ordered a bowl of clam chowder. Everything was excellent, fresh, delicious, and plentiful. We got takeout as currently there is no dine in option. As I mentioned, plentiful was an understatement. We were packing for a flight and had a luggage scale out at the hotel. Our two meals with soup actually was right at 7 pounds of food and unfortunately, more than we could possibly eat. I dont leave many reviews but love to shout out a clear winner. 6 days around northern California with great meals everywhere. This one stood out and is getting my review.
I came to this spot a couple times happenstance when I was younger. My mom gave me the gift of savoring chicken chile verde enchiladas, and this place was one of the best. The good news is IT STILL IS!!!! The enchiladas are swimming in sauce, perfectly balanced spicyness and tender flavorful chicken. The price alone is well worth the trip. Thank you for still being the amazing place I remember!!

Love it when the regular size burrito is as big as I thought the super size burrito was gonna be. The Carne asada was on point too.

2022-08-28 03:23:15Ive been coming to this place since it opened. I grew up on the next block and this has been my favorite Mexican restaurant for my ENTIRE life. Ive moved away, but about 5 years ago I came here and the food was exactly as I remembered. This weekend I was in town and noticed the rice is no longer the fluffy rice they used to serve, and the enchilada sauce is not the red sauce it used to be. Its now a brown gravy flavor. These were not the flavors I grew up with. Maybe its new mgmt, or just a new chef. It breaks my heart to say that the changes theyve made arent good. I wish them all the luck and success but I cant come back.

Ordered takeout but only found half of the menu here (posted updated photos of the menu, both sides). They have a really nice marinade for the meats that we had, carne asada fajitas and chicken super burrito. Ill try something off their pasta menu next time.
