2023-11-13 02:37:31We had their Sunday brunch. Its such a special place with a spectacular view of the ocean and Catalina. The service is unmatched. Everyone there works as a cohesive team. The food was outstanding. I enjoyed the smoked salmon, wagyu steak and finished the meal with some house made sorbet. In my opinion this is the best spot in the South Bay to celebrate special occasions!

2023-11-20 19:11:46We came here for brunch and it was an amazing meal and experience. We sat on the patio and we got the ocean view behind the glass walls, which helped block the wind. The waiter noticed my wife was cold and brought her a blanket. Stellar service! Very attentive. The first course was amazing. Hands down the cauliflower white chocolate soup was fantastic. Their signature dessert was also one of the best we ever had.The entrees were a little underwhelming. We ordered the Paella and the bucatini. The waiter had recommended other dishes, but we chose what we thought we wanted. They were still good, but we think the other entrees may have been betterOverall this is a great location and great meal. Highly recommend this place.

2023-07-29 23:33:40Brunch at Marsel is an experience. The view is gorgeous. The food and service was exemplary. The cocktails were fantastic. You could easily see yourself ordering several of them poolside. The plating was excellent. The shellfish was fresh and prepared for ease in eating. We especially enjoyed their version of carbonara. The desserts were delightful and a perfect ending to a leisurely meal. This is a relatively expensive restaurant but well worth the price.

2023-10-11 16:11:22If youre looking for a restaurant with breathtaking views, look no further than this cliffside gem. The panoramic ocean and coast views are simply stunning, and the inside seating by the fireplace is cozy and inviting. But the real star of the show is the food. Every dish we tried was exceptional and well worth the price. The flavors were expertly balanced, and the presentation was beautiful. What really sets this restaurant apart, however, is the service. The staff are friendly, accommodating, and always have a smile on their face. They made us feel comfortable and welcome from the moment we walked in.This restaurant would be perfect for any special occasion, but its also a great spot for a lovely dinner any night of the week.

2023-10-31 07:35:24This place is very elegant. The view is beautiful, but located right next to the water. They have a bread option that is so good and the drinks are always really good. Porchop dinner was lovely small but good.

2023-09-15 21:50:35Birthday dinner with family. Great view and atmosphere. Ordered $220 steak and two filet mignon with two appetizers [scallop and octopus]. Tasty appetizers (small of price), but knew $$$ when making reservation.Fillet was tender and tasty, but bit salty.., we had it 2 weeks prior. $220 steak was good..., said it was two perosn portion..,, not really for middle aged heavy eater but then again.., perhaps for normal customers yes.Overall very satisfied..., but not a monthly type of place.

2023-06-21 23:31:36This is hands down a five-star experience that blew my mind! Lets talk about the drinks because they were seriously amazing. The cocktail menu at Marsel is like a creative wonderland with flavors that will rock your taste buds. But heres the real showstopper—smoke-infused drinks. They take cocktails to a whole new level, adding an extra punch of flavor and excitement. Sipping on those masterpieces felt like a wild adventure for my senses. Oh, and can we talk about the wood-paneled bar? Its got this cozy and classy vibe that instantly makes you feel like youre in for something special. And the sunset views? Wow, just wow. Marsel offers a front-row seat to some mind-blowing sunsets over the ocean. Its the kind of view that takes your breath away and makes the whole dining experience even more magical. So, if youre looking for an unforgettable time with incredible cocktails, a cozy bar, and sunset views that will make your heart skip a beat, Marsel at Terranea is the place to be. Trust me, you wont be disappointed.

2023-05-24 03:36:39We went here for mothers day dinner in the evening so that we could enjoy the views and the sunset. Although we had a reservation and multiple tables were open where we got seated, they still asked us to wait a few minutes before seating us outdoors. My biggest gripe about this place is the inability to get a hold of someone during business hours. In booking the reservation, I must have called approximately 8-10 times with no option to leave a voicemail or to book a reservation online. Minus 1 star for that. And after booking the reservation, we wanted to see if they would accept an emotional service dog, but they never picked up the phone, and we were forced to leave the dog with a sitter. (Their Yelp page states no dogs allowed.)Once we were seated, the only other table outdoors was a larger table with TWO dogs. The manager said the party stated they are service dogs, but the fact that two little kids were running around with the dogs and making all these noises made it clear that they are not real service dogs. Minus 1 star for that.We ordered one pre-fixed lobster 4-course meal (at around $145), which was tasty overall, but the actual half lobster was miniscule in size. It was about the size of a $10 lobster tail from Ralphs. We also had one halibut, one John Dory, and one lamb dish. The halibut was the tastiest dish of all the entrees. The John Dory was tiny and overly salted. The lamb was overpriced for the two pieces served. The best thing about this place (and the only reasons why I would ever consider returning) are the cocktails and the dessert. My wife had the tequila special, which was fantastic. I had the 20-year port, which was a great deal at $12. Lets strawberry panna cotta and chocolate pot were very tasty.

2023-08-13 15:03:31My husband took me there for my 50th birthday with some friends. We all ordered appetizers. Then the meals came out. I ordered gluten-free lobster pasta, my husband and my friend ordered non-gluten-free. When all the dishes were brought out, mine and both my husbands, and my friends were also gluten-free. Unfortunately, all of them were undercooked we sent them back almost 30 minutes later, my husbands was brought back cooked with my friends non-gluten free. After 30 minutes, I still hadn’t received my food. We had 6:30 PM reservations and it was nearly 9 o’clock. They offered to bring out a steak, but the steak never arrived and then they brought my pasta and it was worse than the first time. You couldn’t even bite into it. It was like they cooked it for 30 seconds, my husband went in and was very upset and told the manager we had been there for 2 1/2 hours without dinner for me on my birthday. He apologized came outside and they remade all the food and finally we were eating at 9:20 PM. The manager did pick up the entire dinner and tried to make it up to us. We paid $50 each for a concert that we didn’t get to go to because we were so late at that restaurant. So we lost $200 with that as well.
