We visited Marstons late one Sunday morning after a memory of a great experience years ago at their Pasadena location. Our diets and preferences have changed a little bit (ie my gluten-free wife was no longer going to order the blueberry pancakes which she remembers as being phenomenal) but we found an extensive menu with lots to choose from, and of course since its a breakfast menu, we vegetarians had lots of options.Minor initial disappointment in that the coffee was just okay. A little bit weak for my tastes. I like a super strong coffee and find that many breakfast places which, of course, have coffee, often dont prepare it right and it comes ot you as slightly flavored browned water. This was a little bit better than that, but, again, not as strong as I wanted it to be.My wife and I both got egg dishes. I had the Just eggs with potatoes and an english muffin. These did the job and gave me the descent diner experience I was looking for. My wife thought the same for her florentine which she got without the English muffin as she is gluten-free.It would be nice if they offered a gluten-free bread option of any kind.Our kid had the soyrizo burrito which, even for his teenage metabolism, was generous enough in size that it lasted for 2 meals.Marstons has a slightly more nicer/upscale vibe than your average diner in town and you can get just about anything you want for breakfast. We glanced at the dinner menu and there are definitely options for vegetarians too so we may give it a try one night!

I really enjoyed spending time with the family. This place offers great service. It has a full bar and delicious food. Any locals hit this place up for a good meal if you get hungry.

Drinks were WELL made. The chicken was phenomenal. I bought their salad dressing cause it’s so good! I wish I lived closer so I could come here more often. This was my 3rd time here and I look forward to my 4th! Service was great. Everyone working there made us feel welcome!

Whenever I visit my parents and I always come to Marston’s for brunch. We were lucky to get a table on the patio pretty quickly (depending on the day, it can be a long wait). It’s also dog friendly!Tried the pulled pork Benny for the first time and it was delicious! The pork was so juicy and flavourful, paired really nicely with the eggs and Holly.You can never go wrong with the traditional benny, my dad always gets it and is never disappointed. Fruit was fresh.Mom loved the Pasadena salad, she gets it every time too.Sweet potato fries were super crispy and tasted great with the garlic aioli.

Have only done take out from this place, but the vibe is very laid back. Patio is bigger than it looks and the inside makes you feel right at home.The orange chicken salad is truly special, an explosion of flavor, and I have yet to taste anything else like it. Most salads are pretty standard/boring at restaurants, not here.I would love to come back for brunch sometime, I hear thats where they really shine.Having only done takeout, the staff has been very friendly and accommodating, but more importantly- the order has always been accurate. I have probably ordered 30-40 times from this place during Covid.Last (but not least) the pop-overs that are included as part of your order.Unexpected, fresh and true to the flavor identities of this restaurant.

Food was delicious. I was disappointed I forgot to take a picture before digging into the Kilauea burger. By the time I thought about it, my burger and fries were gone. Our server, Isaac, was great & attentive. May make another stop when we return to the west coast in a few months.

My wife and I have been to Marstons many times and always had a good experience. This time, we decided to try their catering options for a large brunch party. We went with 2 sandwich trays and 1 fruit tray, including prime rib, turkey, and vegan options. Everything was delicious! Our guests were very happy. The restaurant staff were very helpful and friendly and the catering prices were very reasonable. Check them out if you have an event that needs catering!

This was my 1st time at the restaurant and I really enjoyed it. I had the Eggs Benedict which is one of my favorites and it was terrific. It has a great atmosphere, service is quick and efficient, in the food was quite good. Its in an excellent location with plenty of parking.

First time visiting for brunch and it did not disappoint. We had to try the mimosas. I had the traditional orange juice and my wife went with a cranberry mimosa, they were outstanding and a very good pour for $8. The menu was full of options and I choose an omelet. Very happy with food and service and will definitely be back.

I love Marston’s, it’s my favorite breakfast/brunch spot in Santa Clarita. The only reason I’m giving this place a 4 and not a 5 is because they desperately need to work on their coffee/drink options and they need to add a pastry section. Those 2 improvements would make this place ideal! I’d likely be there almost daily. Their food is delicious but they need to get creative in their coffee options. The coffee they offer now is pretty awful. Their regular cup tastes like ihop watered down coffee and their other limited options are poor flavor too. The restaurant is cute and has a nice outdoor seating area if the weather permits. The inside is cute but can get REALLY LOUD during their busy times. It can be difficult to talk or hear bc the noise is so loud. All in all though, I love this place and I hope they see this feedback so they can work on serving better coffee and pastry options.

Food is above par, really fresh ingredients and high quality. Table of 8 was served promptly, all our food was hot and visually beautiful. Had the eggs Benedict, muffin was buttery & crispy from the grill not the toaster, poached egg was PERFECTION, runny, whites formed perfectly, hollandaise was creamy, tangy & smooth and 2 slices of Canadian bacon on each muffin= an excellent breakfast. Servers were attentive & constantly came around with coffee and asking if we needed anything. Oh & the bloody Mary & pomegranate mimosa were awesome, they did not skimp on the booze, a really well done set of drinks.

We had a 4-Hour breakfast here recently. The food was pretty good, the service excellent, even though the restaurant was full. Wish they could do something about the noise. Had to shout to my friend who was across the table from me. It was exhausting. A mother one table over was continuously scolding her screaming children. She stood up, pounded on the table, and was hollering. But it went unnoticed by most because you wouldnt be able to hear any of that over the general roar in that restaurant.

For a place as culinarily barren as Santa Clarita Marstons is a solid joint for a good brunch, food was decent, nothing incredible. The hollandaise on their Eggs Benedict was a bit sour, and the eggs were cooked in an interesting manner, one overly raw, the other completely hard boiled. However, their more lunch oriented options were far better. The service was great, but the restaurant was a bit dirty and haphazard.

The food is SO GOOD! We came for breakfast and got French toast and pulled pork Benedict. The French toast is coated and so its super crunchy, but still soft on the inside. The pulled pork is sweet and blends so well with the hollandaise. I also got a blood orange mimosa. Definitely recommend!Our server was very attentive and checked in on us often. The atmosphere is also wonderful and reminds me of an old Hollywood restaurant.Wonderful! Try it!

Decent restaurant with nice decor and outdoor dining. The food was good, but you would pay less elsewhere. You come here for the convenience, I suppose. The view of the parking lot doesnt attract you. I would have been a satisfied customer if my coffee was hot when it was served. I had to get a replacement cup because it was lukewarm. The worst thing is that no one came back to refill it. At $4.50 a cup you would think they would, right?

The staff is very friendly and helpful. The dinner bread is a popover. They were great. The puff pastry top for the chicken pot pie was light and airy. Nice selection of wine and beer. The interior of the restaurant is very nice. Plenty of parking and easy to find.

We stumbled upon Marstons while in town for the night. My wife and I were very impressed with the whole thing. The atmosphere was great albeit a little loud but it was a little busy. We got seated right away even though they appeared to be full. Our waitress was very attentive and made recommendations that were outstanding. Be sure to give the pulled pork Benedict a try. Everything tasted incredibly fresh and high quality. We will definitely be back here.

This is the sort of restaurant you bring your visiting friends & family to. There’s something for everyone — a filling breakfast or lunch, cocktails, desert.Every plate I’ve had so far has been delicious. Favorite salad is Pasadena Salad. Loved the Chicken and Bell Pepper sandwich, which is like an upgraded caprese sandwich. I’ll eat an entire order of cheese puffers slathered in butter entirely by myself (yes, really).The cocktails are not top notch BUT they’re still dang good. Better than most restaurants in the area.Plan on arriving early or expect a wait. It’s a popular spot for a reason!

I went for dinner after a holiday concert. Everything was very good, from the drink to the main dish. I ordered a dish from the daily specials menu...braised short ribs. They were FANTASTIC! So tender, the meat fell off the bone. It was on a bed of mashed potatoes with wilted spinach on top. The portion was very generous, I took half of it home and enjoyed it for lunch the next day. Ive never been here for breakfast, but it seems to be what Marstons is known for. Ill have to try it sometime, but I do know its a great dinner option!

The line for a table was 35 to 45 min. One of the reasons we went her was because if the reviews. The service was great, kudos to the team for being prompt and efficient. The food however, its my opinion that the food was very disappointing. The food presentation, and taste was like getting overpriced fast food. I had the huevos rancheros that day, there was nothing rancheros about my plate. It was soaked in nacho cheese sauce, Pico de Gallo and the home made chili sauce. You dont out chilli beans on huevos rancheros. I was disappointed to the point that I didnt even finish my plate. My son in law had the roast beef sandwich, he didnt even finish it. Again, just my opinion, but I would not recommend this place. Overpriced mediocre food. The chef took rethink his menu. Its like they just gave up.

I saw this place walking my dog by the small man made lake and it looked really nice from the outside. The outdoor seating looked great but it was cold and windy so we sat inside. The service was great and our server was nice, knowledgeable about the menu and very efficient. I wish I remembered her name but I do not. We we in for Saturday dinner and were seated straight away. Ordered chicken soup, tri tip sandwich and sea scallops between the my date and I. Her quote about the soup was she wanted to put pants on the soup and marry it. Very good. The sandwich was good and the scallops with whipped yams were amazing! For desert we followed our servers suggestion and got bread pudding a la mode. It was out of this world good. I am 100% going back and I heard breakfast was even better. Next time, I will take pictures

Very nice family restaurant in Valencia with a diverse menu and super friendly staff. This was a terribly crowded Sunday lunch time, but its no wonder that our party of 12 had to wait well over a half hour to get seated. Once seated, we were treated very well, and the food is excellent with lots of choices. Great location with plenty of parking. Highly recommended.

Marstons is popular for Sunday lunch, so expect a 30 min wait for seating. Dining on the patio is popular, weather permitting (shorter wait for dining indoors). The food is always tasty and the menu selections are broad and interesting including creative salads, hearty sandwiches (I like their fresh tuna salad sandwich), and delicious entrées such as tempura salmon fish and chips. The serving staff are friendly and helpful with order selections, but they are clearly understaffed for the Sunday crowd.

The French toast are a hit or miss. The first time, I ordered them they were pretty good. This is second time ordering take out and it was a complete miss. Had the BBQ pork Benedict with potatoes, and let me tell you it definitely scratched that breakfast itch, absolutely astounding meal. The seating outside was comfortable, and we were waited on with incredible promptness. I might go on a limb and say the service was a tad much actually. We were asked if our drink order had been taken by 4 separate people within the span of about 5 minutes. It makes me think they were over staffed early in the day in anticipation of a large lunch rush. In any case, thats really the only bad thing I have to say. I just left this restaurant extremely disappointed! I’ve heard great things about the food, I was excited to try it, But unfortunately service would not allow that to happen. We were seated by Will and sat for 25-30 min without ever getting greeted. Not a “hello” or “be right with you”… we got NOTHING! Oh but we did see about 4 other tables surrounding us get greeted, drinks, orders taken, and the table next to us received their food after we sat down and completed their meal before we decided to leave this poor establishment. The waitress/manager (I was told) came up to our table and literally look at us and straight turned around to take the table next to ours order. That’s when we decided to leave. Very friendly staff. Coffee was great. My Aunt got the French toast which is coated with corn flakes. Super crunchy, which is great to have since most French toast is usually soft. I had the breakfast sandwich on Ciabatta. The eggs were super fluffy and the bread was warm and soft with a bit of crunch on the outside. My only gripe was that it seemed there was only one piece of bacon in my sandwich that they tried to split in half to fill the whole sandwich and it was floppy. Just wish they put a few crispy pieces in there. Good place overall. Definitely a good place for breakfast or brunch!

Were in Valencia on vacation and this was by far the best food weve had in the last few days. We were greeted as soon as we walked in, drink orders were taken within a minute or two, and our server was kind and attentive. Heres some observations that stood out:In a time where restaurants are hard to staff and are doing the best they can, Marstons highly surpassed our expectations!!!!! It appeared they even had a food runner and a busser for a Thursday lunch shift. Our food arrived in 15 minutes with a fairly full restaurant. This leads me to believe it must be a great place to work and that they are not under staffed and they have kept their staff happy.Our server knocked over a glass of water and 4 staff members came to help her clean it up. The issue was resolved in a minute tops, including a fresh glass of water being brought over. Kudos!The food was really good! Clearly fresh and all made in house. All 4 dishes came out piping hot- definitely not an easy thing to execute.We might not be back in town for a while but I hope anyone who can takes the opportunity to enjoy this place does!

I started going to Marston’s Pasadena when I worked around the corner. I live in Santa Clarita, and was thrilled when Marston’s first opened out here. I am happy to say it is still my favorite restaurant! I just took my sister to a birthday breakfast. The waitress served us quickly, refilled coffee just in time! My husband and I just stopped for dinner here and will never be back again. There were two other people inside eating and two or three outside. I watched as the table behind us sent there plate back and told my husband that’s not a good sign. Then our dinner came, my husband got a NY strip and I got a half aSalad. The truffle fries tasted okay but left a horrible after taste so bad he stopped eating them all together. My salad was fine, I just didn’t eat the boiled tasteless chicken.When we came in the waitress has to clean a table for us as all the tables were dirty. Funny no one bothered to clean the tables after that and the staff just hung around loudly talking instead of cleaning up then when a lady came in at 8:00 she was told they were closing, i looked it up and it clearly showed they are open until 9:00.My husband never complains about food and he even said this was a horrible meal.I wouldn’t suggest this restaurant to anyone.

This is a homestyle restaurant that seems to cater to a lot of regulars, and a lot of people just passing by. We visited on Sunday morning and it was jam-packed, but we got to have a seat at the bar right away for early lunch which was great! They seem to have wine and beer and they had a full menu and everybody was very accommodating, quick, and accurate. I would definitely return here.

Just wow. We went there for breakfast for the first time. First, our server was on fire, managing many tables. He was so friendly, and a great listener and we knew he cared about our experience. The potatoes? No words!!! Basil and tomato omelet and she had steel oats with raisins, brown sugar and honey. I am 60 years old and been around the eateries a tad, and this was the best breakfast and experience I have ever had. Wish there were more stars to give. Thank you!

So this was our first time at this restaurant as we have heard good things and wanted to try it. We walked in and first noticed the extremely dirty floor going from the entrance to the kitchen. Not a great first impression. Like it was completely covered in black dirt and food and footprints. The area is small enough they could keep it clean. My husband said the bathroom floor was also quite dirty and hoped our kids didnt need to use it. This was a bit sketch for us but we were hungry and it was pretty busy, so we decided to stay. We didnt have to wait too long to be sat and they accommodated our 3 kids in a nice big booth with chairs on one side.Our drinks came pretty fast which was nice. Then we ordered our food and that came out fast as well. It was hot which is always a plus too. The food is pretty good. Flavorful and a good amount. Pancakes werent that great unfortunately, but it seems that is hard to get out here. The mimosas were delish but the strawberries on them, not so much.I like that they accommodate kids with coloring and seating but I feel this restaurant needs a bit of help with updating. The noise levels were insanely loud when we walked in and there isnt really that much seating.I really hope this restaurant reads this and realizes their floors are quite disgusting and it could definitely deter future guests from staying, as it almost deterred us. Overall, food is good and the menu had lots of delish sounding options but things in the restaurant should be addressed.

The service is a major factor in why I will go back. They dont have much of a beer selection, but one or two are excellent. The food is just OK. I had significant rot in my salad and the dressing was way too sweet, but the waitress saved the day- didnt charge me for the salad and was just decent about it. You know - they say you get what you pay for. I submit that Marstons is known for being a slightly hoity toity place to eat. Pricing was reflective of this but, nonetheless, so was the food. What can I say about this place? The French toast is incredible! Ok better than incredible! Take it from someone that dislikes French toast. I absolutely love theirs! Our go to spot for weekend brunches. 4 starts because they are pricy. Excellent food. They have a lot of typical favorites that youd find at most places. Even better are the menu options with a little twist, but not too overly adventurous, well thought out and so, so good!! Servers are usually fantastic. Ate on the patio which was nice in the early morning but would probably be a bit miserable in the afternoon. The waitress was nice when she took the order and dropped off the food but never saw her again until the bill. I needed syrup for my French toast which was not on my plate as well. The cider is AMAZING. I normally order beer because Im not big on sweet drinks, but decided to try something different that night. It was the best cider Ive ever had and gave a nice buzz as well. Breakfast review:Marstons is one of my familys go to places for a delicious breakfast. The quality of the food is fantastic, it tastes homemade. The coffee they use is very good I would put it on par maybe even above Starbucks coffee.Personally when I go I order omelets, my favorite omelette so far has been there spinach omelette, I cant remember the exact name of it right now. I like to swap out the toast for their 7 grain pancake yum yum. Also their bowl of fruit is actually a bowl of fruit, unlike most places they actually put a variety of fruits and not just melons and cantaloupe. It has strawberries, apple, banana, raspberries, etc. my father loves and Raves about their French toast, my mother goes for the standard two eggs 4 Meats kind of breakfast.Is there a verse or very nice very respectful as well as quick and they do a really good job of keeping your coffee and your water filled.I said my only gripe with the restaurant is just how loud it is. I got theres a lot of people in the restaurant because a lot of people like to go to it, but theres just so much Echo that it can actually be painful for the ears at times.Highly recommended going here for breakfast.

Came here on Easter Sunday and was lucky that Marstons was still open since it seemed like all the other restaurants were closed!Service was excellent and swift and the ingredients here all seemed really fresh! Plus, they have inside and patio seatings.Ordered Tomato Basil omelette - added chicken for $1.50, replaced toast for French Toast $1.50. I would not order the additional chicken for future orders. The restaurant gave a generous amount of chicken, too generous! I was a little overwhelmed with all the chicken and it took away the flavors of the dish.My replacement French Toast was amazing and I would definitely recommend upgrading it for $1.50 or ordering a full order and share with with your friends. Their French toast is crusty with the additional cornflakes covered all over, yum!Im glad I came in and got a little taste of this place! Even with my chicken filled omelet, I still like this restaurant. The quality of the food seemed homely and inviting.I cant wait to to come back to try their Happy Hour Menu. If I wanted pasta I would go to one of the local Italian restaurants, I ordered the special sword fish. It was the worst sword fish ever. for $30.00 I got about a 4 ounce piece of fish with risotto. It was bland tasteless. Kept putting salt and lemon on it but it was not good. I sent it back -- no manger ever appeared. They did take it off the bill but they let me go home without dinner? Did not care for the dogs by my table, but I guess that some people cannot leave home without them.. So we did accept that. My breakfast of Huevos Ranchero with Texas Chili was excellent. Every time I have been here, I have been welcomed warmly. The food is amazing. I am working on trying everything on the menu. Staff is professional and remembered Me! I refer Marstons to everyone I meet. Keep up the good work!

My spouse and I never even had a chance to sit down for a meal because after waiting a half hour for a table, we asked the maitre d if the bar seating was available. He said it was and it was open seating at the bar for first come first serve. We then saw two seats open at the bar, went to sit and were promptly told by the maitre d that the seats were reserved for two people who just entered. They were not in the list to be seated. Apparently friends of the maitre d. When I questioned the issue with another hostess she apologized, said you were correct and the bar is open seating. You have every right to be mad. I felt like a second class citizen. This place obviously plays favorites and does not welcome new customer. The service from the maitre d was degrading and simply unacceptable. I will not return.

The pork tostadas killed me. I would eat these for breakfast lunch and dinner every single day if I could. I next got the linguine in herb cream sauce. It was awesome and I probably would have raved about it if I hadnt been destroyed by these tostadas just beforehand.

Great food and pleasant patio. Can be swamped for brunch, so come with some patience for the staff. Always friendly and cheerful regardless.

Got there around 10 am on a Tuesday and it wasn’t busy at all. There were 3 of us and we all ordered at the same time. One of our plates came out after about ten minutes then nothing after that. 30 minutes later we asked what was going on and they said they would check, when we asked to speak to the manager we were told the manager wasn’t available and the waitress kept asking what we needed instead of getting a manager. Awful first experience and can’t see us returning.

Went to this place because of the rave reviews, but I ended up leaving because one of the hostesses was really rude. Basic customer service is to apologize to the customer not argue with them & lie to their face. Unfortunately, I dont know if I will ever give it another shot.

Its a nice little hidden restaurant here Santa Clarita, the wait to be seated can take a minute but once seated the service is nice and quick. Prices are ok too
