As you walk in, queue in the line to the left if you plan to dine in or enter your order to go at the kiosk to the right if you are taking out.Its been extremely busy after the grand opening but they seem to be able to keep up with the crowds. While the noodles were excellent, their tempura left much to be desired. The zucchini was soggy, cold and not worth eating by the time they got to the table.Overall, the food quality is good and Im sure their quality control will get better with time.Reduced stars due to:Unfortunately, the manager seemed to be caving to the pressure of being so busy. He was extremely rude to people sitting at the tables when members in their party were bringing over their trays of food. Even as there were multiple tables open, as I approached my wife with our food, he insisted that she get it from the table even though I was 20 ft away. He likewise treated elderly people the same. While I appreciated that he was trying to keep tables turning over quickly so there was seating for everyone, there was no need to be rude or to harass customers that are getting their first impression of this place.

We were in the mood for udon. The new place off Torrance and Hawthorne is a gem. Its a counter service style, where you order first, then take your order home or to your choice of tables inside or outside. You can order ahead to eat in or for pick up. We chose pick up, and they were exactly on time. Our food came in separate containers, so the noodles wouldnt get soggy on the way home. Efficient!

Tonkotsu udon had a lot of flavor with a piece of chashu and chopped garlic. Regular bowl was more then enough and very filling. The address tempura was a little pricey, but it tasted fresh and good. Workers were very friendly! Definitely will be going back.

HONEST REVIEW!1. Time to visitDo try to avoid lunch or dinner time because it gets PACKED. It gets so packed that the restaurant actually installed a waiting strap line thing and had it “S” shaped like airport 😂 But the food quality explains.2. Ordering processIt works just like Subway or Chipotle except you will choose the actual dish and don’t have options to choose ingredients. But you can definitely ask for more ingredients for paying more. I’d say definitely ask for more green onions. It just tastes better. After you get your bowl. The next is some katsus that you can choose: pork, chicken, sweet potato, potato, shrimp, etc. I can’t remember the whole list. It is a bit pricey for the size of katsus. But it’s definitely worth it because of price of ramen being low enough. Subtotal came out to be 58.99 for 3 people with 2 large bowls, 1 regular bowl, and katsu for each!3. Food sizeWe got Tan Tan large, tonkotsu large, and curry something regular. I’d say large is definitely big enough to make a big grown man full. Regular would be perfect for average adult. For katsu, if you like meat, go for pork!4. SidesYou can get ground gingers at the drinking fountain section. DEFINITELY go for the spicy sauce they have when you get your food. It’s USD 0.75 but really worth it.5. TASTE!!!I had Tan Tan. It’s average. Curry something was pretty good too! Tonkotsu was very delicious!!! It wasn’t like over the top holy molly level but out of 3, it was absolutely the best. And yes, I’m saying it is very enjoyable!! If you like ginger, do put it in. Spicy paste is such a plus for the taste.6. Minus stuffsI think they can turn down their music. I get the “eat faster and leave so we can get more customers.” But it’s pretty loud enough that people taking orders couldn’t hear you.

This is a very popular Japanese noodle restaurant. When Many customers are there, the staffs still served very efficiently.

When you first enter the restaurant you will notice the left side is the queue to order food for dine-in while the right side is seating and to-go ordering (using an ordering kiosk) there is also seating outside. If you choose to dine-in, you will line up on the left side, look at the menu which is next to the order here section and order whatever is best for you. They prepare your order right in front of you and give you a tray to carry your food. You can choose if you want to add a scoop of fried tempura and green onions (highly recommend). After getting your choice of udon, slide down to the next section which offers various fried options such as tempura shrimp, veggies, potato croquettes, fried tofu, and fried chicken katsu. They have small paper baskets to hold your choice of tempura (optional). After ordering, you can go to the back area which provides napkins, utensils, self-serving water, sauces, and if you want to take food to-go, they provide paper bags and containers to store your food to take home.I came in around 8PM and it was full. The line went by quick even though there was about 10 people in front of me. They prepared your order less than a minute per person. Though it was crowded the day I went, finding a seat was easy. I recommend checking this udon restaurant out and giving it a try, especially on a cold night. Reasonable pricing and quick service. Clean and fun layout.

This place is usually busy. You can get take out or dine in. We ate there. You order cafeteria style. I had the large Tonkotsu udon which was very good. Also tried the sweet beef, which was good, fatty but good.

Havent add amazing udon. I have had bad udon though. So far to me there is a plateau for udon. Its good but all good udon is the same. I like the buffet style picking, thats what makes this place great!

Just as good as their Beverly Hills and WLA locations. Consistent taste and good level of service!

Welcome to Torrance! The long-awaited grand opening is here. My favorite is the Nikutama with an onsen egg, the sanuki way (add scallions and tempura flakes). The freshly made udon is chewy and bouncy. The amount of beef is plentiful. As for sides, I suggest the squid and tamagoyaki (egg) tempura.Indoor and outdoor seating is available.Restrooms were spacious and clean.Small outdoor play area for kids.Plenty of parking in the lot.Good food and good service.Tip: Download the app to rack up points to redeem for freebies.
