I recently visited Marys Salads in La Jolla, and it was an absolutely delightful experience. I chose the Superfood Salad with chicken, and I must say, it was fantastic. The salad was a vibrant mix of fresh, quality ingredients, perfectly tossed. Run! Don’t walk to Mary’s! This gem of a place in the heart of La Jolla village will not disappoint! I devoured the seasonal salad that included delicata squash, roasted chicken, parmesano cheese and the best dressing! The customer service provided by Michael was on point! Had old lettuce and tomatoes delivered via Uber Eats. Surprisingly, a place that specializes in only salads did not provide fresh lettuce or vegetables. I would not serve a salad this old to my family or friends. Very disappointing. 2 stars because this place has potential if it served fresh ingredients.

Sometimes in La Jolla you need something besides tacos and Italian. The answer, Mary’s Gourmet Salads. It’s fresh, light and healthy. I had the Thai Crunch salad with Thai peanut dressings. Excellent! My wife had the Mediterranean salad with the Mediterranean dressing (the owners’ Mother’s dressing recipe). Again, Excellent! We got the salted chocolate chip cookies as well. Moist and chewy. Terrific! They gave us a tasting of the Gold Coast soup, made with chick peas, coconut milk, turmeric and love—so fabulous that we will def order it the next visit!. This service is excellent, and the staff/owners were super-personable. This is a not to miss place!

I went to Mary’s tonight and placed a Summer breeze salad TO GO. When I got home and decided to eat, where is the chicken ?? The salad came without any protein, with tip I paid $17 for green leaves with strawberries and goat cheese, UNACCEPTABLE. Please make sure to check your food before leaving the restaurant. I run by this place a few times each week and have always wanted to try it. I ordered the Santa Fe and loved the proportions of ingredients. The dressing was a bit too sweet for my taste. Also, about 1/4 of the lettuce was from the core and turning brown. But the rest was great!

Im a huge salad girl. I used to drive an hour for my favorite salad shop up in Orange County. This was my first time going here! My boss has ordered this spot on doordash so many times. He says its the best salad ever. I saw that it was close by the beach I was at and drove over.I ordered the lemonade and the kale Caesar salad (with extra dressing), it comes with pita chips, bacon, egg, tomatoes, kale/romaine, Parmesan cheese, and the dressing. Im not a huge kale girl but wow this really is the best salad. Every bite was delicious. The bacon was such a great touch because most Caesar salads dont have it! I also love egg and it was perfect. The lemonade was nice and tart.Now I know how delicious this spot is! Ill be adding a salad to my bosses next doordash order lol. Definitely my new salad spot!

We decided to take a drive up to La Jolla just to visit Marys Gourmet Salads, and we were very glad we did. The staff were very friendly and went above and beyond to provide excellent service. Our food was delicious and portions are pretty big, we sat outdoors to enjoy our lunch and still had plenty to take home.

What an excellent salad. Wife and I had the Med Original 48oz and while it was probably big enough for 2 people, I’m happy to not have shared because it was so freaking delicious. Jennifer would agree. Glad we picked up a couple of Thai Crunch salads for tomorrow as well. Can’t wait to eat them. They look so colorful and tasty. The staff is always quick to help us and kind when we need something extra added upon arriving for a pick up order. Besides the salads being delicious, we are always able to get an extra knife and fork if we plan on sharing the salad when we arrive. Sometimes an extra bowl, too. My favorite is the Harvest Cobb. This place is a game changer for me! I have to admit I was unsure at first because it’s just salads- but I’m SO happy I tried it! Every salad here is delicious. They put a lot of careful thought into putting together each one of the salads on the menu and it shows. My order is the Kale Cesar. The dressing is the best Cesar dressing I’ve ever tasted. I crave it which is crazy because it is a kale salad. It’s that good!! My husband loves the Harvest Cobb. I get a salad there about every other day. Thank goodness there is a healthy option that is “fast food”. Every neighborhood needs a Mary’s.

My first thought was geez these salads sure are pricey. But I still decided to give them a chance, and its a good thing I did! I ordered the East Coast Salad through uber eats. The portion size was pretty substantial, which is great because now I have dinner for tonight! With that being said I dont mind the price after all. They toss the salad for you so you dont make a mess trying to mix all the ingredients together yourself, and the caesar dressing they included was just enough. Overall the salad was delicious, I will definitely be ordering again!Oh and they included a free cookie, which tasted delicious I could have easily eaten 5 of those haha!
