Very authentic northwest Chinese food! I ordered my food through Hungry Panda as they have only $3.99 deliver fee recently. The dishes I recommend are honey walnut shrimp and sesame red bean pancakes, also the egg rolls are pretty great as well. The other dishes like eggplants and lamb pot are nice too, but their portion is too huge. I definitely need to froze some to eat in later days.

The oxtail soup was sweet, succulent, flavor, and falls off the bone. Best walnut shrimp I’ve ever had. Perfect amount of sauce and shrimp was crunchy. Sesame bread is a must.

We frequently order take out from Ma’s House and everything is always delicious. Love the sole fillet and beef rolls, the shrimp is also great. Very fast service, recommend!

Excellent food! The Oxtail and fried rice (Mixed and Lamb) were amazing. The deep fried duck was crispy on the outside and extremely soft + juicy on the inside. Definitely want to return 👌🏽🔥💯😋

Massive portion sizes and great tasting good. Nice staff and clean restaurant. Came here twice in two days and had leftovers each time for the next meal.The flavors are far from mind blowing but still very good. It’s a nice warm meal at the end of a busy day. We got the salt/pepper beef, chicken fried rice, Mongolian beef, stir fried cumin lamb. Everything was a solid 8. The protein is extremely tender and definitely the biggest standout!It’s halal which is also great.

Mas House is a Halal & Authetic Chinese cuisine restaurant in San Diego. Its a kid & and family-friendly place with really awesome food & service.We ordered the famous Hot & Sour soup ( this is a really huge portion), egg rolls as appetizers.The orange chicken, garlic beef w. Jalapeños and Vegatable Chow mein were our main course.They was hardly any wait time to seat and our food came within 5 minutes of ordering.The portion size was huge, and we packed leftover for next day lunch.Over all very good experience with food and service at this restaurant.

Halal Chinese restaurant in San Diego. Went here for dinner. The food was actually pretty good and tasty. Good portion sizes, enough to share. Liked the Mongolian beef and orange chicken. Lots of seating available, and service was actually good. Didnt have to wait too long for the food, and appeared to be made fresh. Would definitely recommend this place for halal Chinese, if you are visiting San Diego.

Good food in general, and the size surprised us to some extent. We recommend the sesame bread with green onion （芝麻煎饼加葱） and the 锅塌豆腐. However one of the waiters is not very helpful.

We were the only table there most of the time, which was confusing because the food was REALLY GOOD! I think everything we ordered we described as the best Ive had in a while. The food came out incredibly quickly, and the service was attentive but not overly so (since like I said we were the only table most of the time). The restaurant itself was huge, so even during a more busy time the wait might not be that bad. The huge parking lot is a rarity for the area as well. We will definitely be coming back here. Be sure to get the bread!

This was our first time here since we did not know about it. We usually go to the branch in Los Angeles. Taste is very similar. We order our favorites which are orange chicken and Mongolian beef, vege chow mein. The only complaint we had is the weird smell that welcomes you when you enter the restaurant. Would go again.

Yesterday on 10/17/2023, I had the worst customer experience of my life with Ying. I ordered takeout for lunch, and from yelling at me when I called on the phone to place an order, to again yelling and being verbally abusive with an attempt to physically harass me when I went to pick up the food. The female server, name I am omitting for her privacy.She tried to physically harass me and I threatened to call the police. I go there for Halal food but the food I got yesterday, Chicken Chowmein and Mongolian beef, both were very bad and tasteless. I requested to speak to her manager but she said no one was there at the restuarant at 5 pm. There was another couple dining at the resturanat who witnessed all this episode.The management needs to train their staff on how to talk to customers, and I need an apology from the restaurant.

Good Halal Northern Chinese restaurant renowned for its sesame seed bread with green onion. We now prefer the thin version over the thick one, for its high sesame/scallion to bread ratio. Try to eat it when it’s still hot. If we order it for take out, we always order it on our way over, so it’s us waiting for the bread and not the other way around. If you are vegetarian, do get their braised tofu omelette. It’s delicious! For those who eat meat, the beef or lamb with pickled cabbage (Napa cabbage) warm pot is good to get for the colder days.The interior has been nicely redone from its predecessor, a hot pot restaurant. The dining hall is very large for a Chinese restaurant. With it, they are able to keep good distance between tables and offer indoor dining during the pandemic.

The experience was the worst ever. Despite the restaurant having only 20% occupancy, the server showed attitude and seemed in a hurry. They misguidedly advised us on portion sizes, leading to us ordering more than needed. However, the situation got even worse as the food turned out to be horrible. The attendant was rude, and to top it off, they added a tip to the bill without asking me. They didnt even offer to replace or reprepare the food.

We went to this restaurant on a weekday for lunch. Unlike many restaurants along the Convoy Street, this place has no problem in parking. There were hardly any customers inside. We ordered the curry elephant and crispy duck. The food tasted mediocre, no wondering there were no people. The service was nice. I dont recommend this place.

A very nice Chinese restaurant. The food was halal. Their portions were quite big. As family we ordered a few dishes and couldnt finish them all. The restaurant had a lot of lots to park outside and many tables to dine in inside. Menu prices on the Google map and now are different . They updated their prices to approximately 17-18$ price range which are shown as 13-14 on the Google maps visuals.

Amazing HALAL Chinese restaurant! I am usually quite skeptical as someone who suffers from deadly peanut/sesame allergies on the possibility of cross contamination, and as such had been scared to come here until my friends came from out of town and wanted to go.We called and asked, and the man who answered was very understanding and kind, and explained which dishes to avoid (Kung Pao items, certain sesame baked breads, etc)I was still skeptical upon trying the few items we tried (garlic chicken with jalapenos, Mongolian beef, sweet and sour chicken, and orange chicken, but the first 3 were safe for me luckily!), but the quality and portions of the food were very satisfying and worth! Coming from the Bay Area, this is a major upgrade in quality from the offerings back home!All in all, if youre looking for a family style Halal Chinese restaurant in San Diego, this is the one!

Restaurant was almost empty when we came during lunch hour. Food was ok but server decided to bring our bill to the table while we were eating. We ordered only 1 dish and shared because I had recent surgery and I explained this to the server. As I was walking into the restroom, the stench of raw sewage made me change my mind and go back to the table. No senior discount was provided for my mum. Will not be coming back.

I really wanted to give this place a better rating because it is really the only halal Chinese spot in San Diego. The food was ok and the service was ok. But I probably would not come here again.We ordered a few different dishes but many of them tasted the same. The lamb cumin was very different than other lamb cumin I have tried. This one was like doused in cumin powder and didn’t have any red peppers which at other Chinese restaurants always do. The beef soup tasted like pure soy sauce, just full of sodium. The curry fried rice we ordered is not what we got. My friend said last time he came it had a yellow sauce on top, this time was just a normal fried rice dish. Not sure what’s going on there.The place was very busy but the service was fast and felt hectic. The owners really should hire at least one server and not try to do everything on their own. I really hope they can get better because it is a nice spot.

They charged me more than the total that was on the receipt and when I asked for a refund they informed me that they cannot give me a refund over the phone. I called 2 days in a row to speak to the manager and they told me the manager wasnt in. I dont understand why you would charge your customers more than what was on the receipt. Sadly, I cant trust the employees here. The food was mediocre, the orange chicken wasnt good and the restaurant smelled like sewer water when we walked in. The sesame bread w/ green onion was bland. I had high hopes for this place because the Mas House in Anaheim is so good but this one unfortunately isnt. If you come here alone and are not sure what to get (they have a very large menu!) Get orange chicken with a side of white rice! You will not regret it. Great hearty portions. Also if you come at night bring a jacket or an extra layer of clothing. The area is well ventilated so if its cold out, it can be cold inside as well.

Great place to eat, very good halal Chinese food. Staff is much more friendly compared to typical Chinese restaurants & theres ample amounts seating so its kids friendly. I dishes I recommend are as follows: hot & sour soup with paratha on the side, the sesame bread & beef noodles soup are great as well, beef Mongolian, sizzling black pepper beef, chicken jalapeño, chicken chow mein, & salt & pepper shrimp. One of the most horrible experience I’ve ever had!, The waiter (manager) did not give us enough time to take our order first, and very unprofessional and aggressive way of speaking with customers. he missed something of the order and we told him twice he said we didn’t order it so turned a blind eye and we continued. We still offered to give tip but the manager complained it was less. How ironic!. He started shouting and swearing and told us to get out of the shop because we didn’t tip ENOUGH! so we then proceeded to not give any tips at all. Surely I will tell anyone who’s visiting to not visit this garbage place. Absolutely disgusted.

I called to make reservations for 16 people for my graduation dinner. This location is not as busy as the Anaheim location. It is very clean, the staff is friendly and the food tastes fresh. They seemed to be understaffed but we got our food in timely manner. We ended up being 20 people instead and they were accommodating. I had cake and they provided plates and utensils. We go out to San Diego a lot and I will definitely visit this location.

First of all, I don’t usually write reviews but I have to for this one! The experience was just bad. It was my first time visiting San Diego so I did a extended research to find places to eats. I saw this Ma’s House and thought why not give it a try. We went there and the person serving us was just rushing us and he seem to show favoritism. Moving on, we order and thought maybe the food will taste great, but to our surprise it was greasy, and lack flavor. Moreover, for a food causing more than 14 dollar we expect more flavor. Also, it was more than we can finish. But we decided to finish what we can. After that, we’re we paying and it totally us 70 dollar.That’s when my brother experienced something he never been experienced which was being told to tip. I was waiting at the car so didn’t get to listen but from what he told me, when he press skip “tip”the server told him what tipping was as if he didn’t know. So my brother told him “he know what tipping is.” So the server go on to say, “do you leave tip at the table?” My brother told him “no” and the server who has no right go on to said “don’t you know you’re supposed to tip and no one work for free.” Of course no one work for free. But was it necessary to said this? We usually tip if the food is good and the server was exceptional but in this case none of it applied and tipping is optional and we never experienced someone forcing us to tip like that. Wether we skip or not no one complains and said to leave a tip. I hope no one experienced it like we does. Thank you.

Pleasant surprise! I found this location when my son moved to San Diego. I have been to every location of this family’s restaurants and I appreciate the consistency and quality of the food and the service. The food at this restaurant is not good and the quality is definitely lacking compared to the other locations across Southern California. The food is very greasy and is covered in oil and honestly you feel quite awful after eating it. The staff are not welcoming by any means and are quite cold and are borderline rude. When I went there was no soap in the mens restroom and I asked multiple staff if they could bring more soap so I could wash my hands before I eat food however they literally all ignored me and I was unable to wash my hands before eating. The prices are quite high for what they offer and I will definitely not ever come back to this location.

Went in for lunch after seeing specials listed on line. Shady hostess just puts dinner menu down when I ask for lunch specials she hurumps away and comes back with a whole lunch menu. Waiter takes my order, I ask about soup choice am told its just something unintelligible which turned out to be a tasty egg drop. Next came my rice and kung pao chicken prompting me to ask about my (supposedly included) egg roll told its still frying i.e. since you asked Ill start it when I go back there. Customer beware- Unethical business practices here.Came here yesterday for dinner. My sister bought my father a $100 gift card and after our meal they claimed that the card had no money on it. We even have the receipt! I was blown away that they made us pay for the meal, and will have the manager call this week when he is back. This is very poor customer service. It’s one thing if I don’t have the receipt, but I do all they need to do is match the transaction number with the associated deferred revenue (according to accounting standards) and see that it has not been redeemed.At the least they need to try and call the manager on the spot, otherwise what is the role of the manager if not to handle customer issues?I’ve attached the receipt here as proof. This restaurant should not be selling gift cards if their employees have no idea how to use them.As for the food, it was okay. Everything was cooked well but severely under seasoned. We are Chinese and have these dishes often, but found ourselves having to add salt, pepper, or vinegar to almost every dish for flavor.

Mas always makes great tasting, good quality food. They usually take longer than expected to prepare it though. If youre ordering pickup/delivery, expect your order to take about 15 minutes longer than expected to be ready. But I would still continue ordering from them just because the quality and portions of the food is just so good. Everything has the right amount of flavor and the dough noodles they make in house are thick and chewy. The orange chicken is always a safe bet as is the beef chow mein. Im looking forward to the pandemic to be over so I can finally done in instead of doing takeout. Again, my only complaint is that they dont do the best job of estimating how long it will take them to make the food. But hey, its not fast food and you can taste the time and energy that they put into it.

Already seem to enjoy their food. Has a large group. We ordered a lot of food like usual because we enjoy the leftovers the next day. The place wasnt that busy but only one waitstaff. Didnt matter. We normally love this place but tonight I am beyond frustrated. We had it delivered through grub hub and when the order was delivered there was an item missing. I called the restaurant and she told me that the chef confirmed that he had put it in there. I responded with the fact that I did not receive the item and she continued to say that it was. The food here was good, but the service was not. There were four of us and we ordered two appetizers and three entrees. One appetizer came out fairly quickly, the other was about 5 minutes later. One entree was served a good 10 minutes before any other food arrived at the table. I come with my family once a month. The food is delicious with many variety.However the service is very piss poor. There is one female server who is very rude, bad attitude. The sad part is on two different occasions, I noticed poor service to certain people mostly of Muslim backgrounds. The worst halal restaurant ever. Here are why:1) The welcoming smell in the restaurant is more like suarage smell.2) The food quality is below standard.
