I love sushi, Im also VERY picky about it. Ive gotta say I loved the atmosphere, food and service here. Food came out in the perfect amount of time (we got to enjoy 1/2 our drinks before it arrived). Everything was delicious! We got a total of 6 rolls and we left completely stuffed. The service was a 10/10, everyone was really attentive and as we left everyone, including the sushi chefs, made sure to say goodbye. We will for sure be back!

I do not know how they are at 4 stars. I mean for the kind of customer service you get, food, place, disgusting bathroom. I would give them negative stars. The server that was a tall guy is the rudest and most unprofessional I have ever seen. Terrible doesnt even describe the experience. My husband and I came on a Sunday early dinner since we were in the area and wanted sushi and this place had good reviews so we wanted to give it a try. Worst experience! food wasnt great, literally filled with Wasabi and the ice cream that was melted was something else! we got the Sushi Masa boat A which comes with miso soup and the sushi boat and dessert** what they dont say is that its just ice cream, which is fine but when you bring melted ice cream and treat us like were slaves even though were customers and paying for our food, this is not acceptable!!! so he just tosses the ice cream like that on the table and he mumbles which you dont understand a thing and leaves. that guy is on the phone the whole time. There was another customer who asked for something and this guy huffs and puffs! I cant! youre clearly lack the skills to treat customers properly! so he brough ice crem and left! so when my husband and I tried to eat it, it looked its melted. so now when want to get a server attention, but guess what, this guy is in the kitchen playing with his phone! so the chefs by the sushi bar I asked them, they called him. He mumbles again and he just brings the check! umm wth! when we tell him its metled, he says oh yea the fridge is not working! so its okay to bring customers a melted ice cream when its something we have paid for! they did have another ice cream which were the macroons and it was by the door. When we asked him about what can he replace it with, he says nothing and that we didnt pay for it but technically its part of the boat. ridiculous. screw this place for the disgusting food, disgusting bathroom, style, this guy! terrible! and avoid!

Huge portions for the pricing. ALSO I ORDERED THIS ON A SUNDAY AND EVERYTHING TASTES FRESH. I was always told to never order sushi on a Sunday as you could potentially be eating day old sushi. Although they did have a bit of wait (10 minutes max) when I went to pick up, it seems like they are understaffed for when it gets busy. I’d recommend ordering straight from the place rather than grubhub as it seems like they take a while to get the order.

Right now my stomach is thanking me graciously. Im full but very happy that I came. Delicious pork cutlet with miso soup and salad. Beautiful presentation of the entire plate. Also had the Bart Simpson Roll, amazing display. Overall excellent service from everyone. Second time here, its been a minute.

Small and tight space because everyone who loves sushi comes here. Alwasy fun to run into friends. It has been five years and we still havent tried all the rolls. Okay, we have a hard time not picking some of out favorites. Black Dragon, Red Dragon, Omega, Rainbow, and of course the complementary tofu.

Masa Sushi is Awesome!! The staff is very friendly and it is a nice chill environment. I really love the lunch special its one helluva deal. I always get the 3 item special for $15.99 11-3:30 M-F… I pick the Chicken Teriyaki, spicy tuna roll, spicy salmon roll, (tons of other choices) comes with Miso soup, Salad, Gyoza, Side of rice. I Love it!

I have not tried other food yet, Other items on the menu looks good I would try it sometimes. this review is for the ramen ONLY. 12.99 for instant ramen with dropped egg and garnish. Priced same as authentic ramen. Adding description in the menu will prevent unsatisfactory experience Im not sure if I am just misinformed, when i see Ramen Im expecting meat, broth and nori. This ramen has no meat.

So this place is like a little sushi shop right out of Japan. The food was absolutely amazing. This is also where I found out that my wife does not know how to use chopsticks and the proprietor brought her out the little rubber ends so she could learn.

The only food we ate that was good was one roll, the beach balls and one order of blue fin sashimi. This place is absolutely horrible. The staff (outside of the sushi bar chefs) is miserable. We had to buss our own table to the table next to us, getting any additional help was like pulling teeth. The sashimi honestly tasted like it was old. I own a pest control company and let me tell you, this place is a health hazard, I have never seen so many gnats in my life inside a restaurant. Either they have a ton of fermenting food/ripe food or they have a drain/leak problem but they sure did not care about it. Please if you read this review, go somewhere else. This place is unbelievable.

Not a bad place to visit for lunch. Prices I think are fair, food I would say is ok/good just depends on what youre craving. I personally love anything baked, and drowned in eel sauce. Ive also ordered the more mundane meals such as chicken teriyaki. My only knock on this establishment would be when I order the teriyaki meal, the dishes smell as if they have been sitting for a while. I dont want to say dirty but definitely not clean. Also the service could be better for the size of the restaurant I would say. There have been times where my meal has taken a bit too long almost as if they forgot that I ordered something extra. I say this because I usually order everything at once and there have been times Ive finished a dish before the other arrives and I dont eat very fast. And when I ask theres a look of confusion as if, you ordered something else? Well thats my rant.

I have to give this 5 stars for the taste, size of rolls, variety, quality, service, etc. The sushi was delicious! I do wish they made the rolls more bite sized though. Total we ordered 4 rolls, and all were too big to eat in one bite. One of our rolls we could get the whole thing in our mouth, but it was a lot. And one roll (no toppings) was just so big, each piece was like a disk with the only way to eat it being 2 bites. I like the effort to make a filling roll (5 piece roll for $12.99) but size it down so we can enjoy all it one!

The whole experience was kind of terrible. The fish used for the sushi tasted like it was about to go bad. It took close to 15 minutes to get our waitresses attention to get a refill on our beverage (which is rather astounding with how incredibly small Masa is). I half way feel the older good reviews are from different ownership and the newer reviews are from friends of the restaurant or paid for. This place is garbage and id advise anyone looking for good sushi to look elsewhere.

Used to be great. I use to go here a few times a month but lately theyve hiked all their prices up and lost their focus on quality. The last several times Ive gotten food here have been very disappointing and the sashimi I order today was dried out and disgusting. I threw it away. Very disappointing because a couple of years ago Id have given Masa 5 stars.

Came to the area for business and had a craving for Sushi. Masa was close to my hotel and boy was I happy that it was. Pleasantly greeted when I walked in. Asked to sit at the bar and placed my order for a couple of rolls. After a few minutes I was presented with 2 beautiful plates. To go along with the presentation the quality and flavor was on point. I have no complaints and am happy that I decided to come in.

I have been to Masa several times for their lunch special. The food was great and the portions were plentiful.The place usually gets packed at lunch time, and their seating inside can be rather limited. So if youre someone that needs 20 of personal space to enjoy your food, this place probably isnt for you.I highly recommend this restaurant if youre looking to enjoy Japanese food in Camarillo.

I recently placed an order thru doordash. Masa refused to give the order to three different drivers. I called the restaurant after multiple texts from doordash about them playing games. When I called they said the order was ready but I needed to come pick it up. This was after waiting 2 hours. The women was very rude on the phone and actually laughed at me. Then she told me to place another order for the same items thru grub hub and they would give the food to them. I have been going here for 20+ years and I cant believe this is how they treated me. I will never return and I hope whomever is reading this doesnt go here or order from them.

Terrible customer service. Packed and they sat us in the corner of the sushi bar with no space next to two drunk guys who kept bumping into my boyfriend. The sushi was very bad and I never even got a refill to wash it down with and we sat there for a long time. Our waitress name was Kristen and she was extremely rude and had a terrible attitude. No tip and will never eat there again. I advise people to stay away too.

Great sushi spot, always fun, the Octopus is always great and so is the yellow tail. I would make this one of my consistent Sushi spots in Ventura County and I always looked forward to checking out a different roll as well. The Ikkura (spelling?) is always fresh, I can tell when they bring it out, it has a bright orange color and the texture is awesome. I am definitely someone who loves to eat sushi and Ill keep coming back.

So we walk in, place seems really nice. We order our food. The moment my pork katsu arrives, it looks delectable. However, thats where the good stops. One bite in, and its pure cement. On top of that, its served right on top of a big piece of Romaine lettuce. And in California at the moment, all of the Romaine had E. Coli. What a train wreck. At this point, I was ready to head out and give this place 1 star. However, when the waiter saw this, they kindly offered to replace the meal. I ordered chicken teriyaki, and SPECIFICALLY ASKED FOR NO ROMAINE. Next thing you know, boom, chicken teriyaki resting on a big old hunk of Romaine. Again, they were very apologetic, and the chicken was average. At least the sushi was okay.
