Maui Pho never misses with their food in my opinion. I got the M5 which comes with Salt & Pepper Shrimp, 2 Teriyaki Chicken skewers, Macaroni Salad and Steamed Rice. The shrimp is hands down my favorite item there. The flavor is kind of simple but so good. The service was a little slow but in their defense it was a pretty full house. The atmosphere is the only thing that could use work. The whole dining area is completely open and some of the booths are connected to other diners which makes everyone seem too close to one another. It makes it hard to enjoy your food and have a conversation with your table because there are sometimes people so close that they can hear every word. But thats minor in the grand scheme of things. The food is great!

Favorite new place for Hawaiian food!!! I got the loco moco. It was DELICIOUS!!! Too bad you can ONLY get it on Wednesday. Little by little Ill explore the rest of the menu. All the food looks tasty, though.

I was really excited to visit this place! since we used to visit the one on Delano often. but for my surprise we got disappointed. to start the place didnt have drinks besides boba. the server took a while to bring us a menu and at end food wasnt that tasty 😔

Had to hunt for a parking space which should have been a sign, but i completely ignored it. Got inside had to sign in on the sheet as their was a wait to be seated. According to other customers there is usually a wait as this business is quite popular. Waited 20 minutes and got a table ordered Ceam Cheese Wontons ($9.99), and Veggie Eggrolls ($7.99) for appetizers. Main meal consisted of Maui Fried Rice ($13.99), Hawaiian Ribs & Eggroll ($21.99), and Orange Chicken Rice Bowl ($9.99). The Food was excellent and the wait staff was friendly and attentive. A bonus was the robot which brought our food to the table.

Food took forever. We saw others that came after us and they got their food. The waiter is not friendly. He should have at least checked on us and let us know the food was in its way or something. We left and when I explained why, the woman got an attitude instead of apologizing or anything. Will take my business elsewhere and will let more people know not to go there.

This place is a great place to eat at. Very clean atmosphere. Quite a bit of seating could be a little bit bigger for the amount of customers they get. The staff is great very helpful wonderful service. The prices are great and as for the food outstanding there has not been anything here that I have not liked or enjoyed. If you have not gone here I suggest you do go you will not walk away unsatisfied

Food was delicious. Service was lacking. Server never came back with extra napkins like we asked and it took a while to get boxes. The table was sticky and dirty and when I asked for it to be wiped down the girl seemed annoyed I asked. Server took forever to come back to get us boxes and the check. And then didnt say anything or come back for me to pay so I just got up and went up front.

Ten out of ten, the owners are amazing . Got to know them very recently. The best, most genuine people on earth . The shop is super clean . The chef is super particular of how her food is made and presented. The atmosphere of the restaurant is very homey and comfortable. This is a spot to bring friends and make it a habit to go. I can tell you I will not go to bakersfield without stopping by to get a bite and socialize. If you wanna impress mom take her to Maui Pho .

We like to eat at this place any time we drive through Bakersfield. The place is oddly located in HD parking lot on Ming Ave, in Bakersfield. The food is really good and the service is both; fast and efficient. Waiters are really good with checking in and making sure you are not missing anything. We have been going to this place for the last 5+ years. They serve Pho and Thai Food, btw

Maui Pho12 minutes in and none of the staff even seem to bat an eye at us. If I didnt go up front and ask for a server, I dont know how long we would have still waited.Server gets to the table and offers no acknowledgment of the non-service provided, nor any apology.It took 30 solid minutes to get the food to the table. Mind you, the restaurant wasnt even half-full. Server (Hatsady P) never came back to check on us. Whenever we needed her, we had to yell from halfway across the establishment.Food itself, although its not winning any awards, was okay. It was as expected, save for the chow mein—that was actually above average.All in all, I wouldnt recommend. I definitely wont be coming back. We only came in for a pho craving and while it was satisfied, I could find a better experience elsewhere.

I didn’t get to go in but my sister loves this place and well she went yesterday and I saw they had bobbas on the menu. I asked her to get me a caramel latte bobba and when I took a sip it was so good. I’m usually picky about my food and drinks but the bobba that I got was so delicious. The flavor was amazing and the bobba were in a great condition, they were soft and just great. Definitely would get their bobbas anyday.

The food left a lot to be desired in serving portions and quality. I requested the beef pho. It only came with two to three thinly slices of beef. I know the beef is supposed to be sliced thinly, but it was such a small portion for the price. The noodles were mangled very tight. Had to use the spoon and fork to break them loose. It seemed that the noodles were transfered from the refrigerator onto the plate without being prepared, WARMED UP BEFORE BEING PLATED!!! The taste was a bit bland. I was able to fix the taste by adding bottled condiments. This should not be in a pho. The soup is supposed to bring the elements together and slightly cook the protein. In regards to the service, there were plenty of personnel, but we had to chase them for napkins, utensils, and such. Basically lack of planning. The atmosphere was that of a fast food restaurant. In short, there was a lot to be desired.

Driving through Bakersfield in the mood for Pho and this place came up in my search. Great food, hearty portions, and of course good Pho. I also liked the salt and pepper shrimp. The Teriyaki chicken was a bit on salty side, but it was good. Service was great. Next time we drive through well be back.

First of all the staff here is awesome. This place is Very clean especially compared to other restaurants in Bakersfield. It smells fresh in here not like most pkaces smelling like chemical and bathroom smells. Been here a few times ordering different entrees. The pho soup is a must. Im not from the area and this is the best pho in California. I asked the owner why their pho is so much different and its because they make the soup fresh with real bone to boil to be that beef flavor. Most places use a powder. This cooks literally for hours before its served. I also recommend the short ribs. Best Hawaiian food flavors than any place in Bakersfield. Lets say yummy!!!

I had the tofu fho noodles. Since I have allergies I asked for the bell peppers to be left out. My order was perfect. The vegetables were a’dente. The broth was hot and the cilantro on the side was fresh. I throughly enjoyed this meal. The small was large enough for left overs.

The quality of their food and especially pho went from good to disgusting. I think their management is changed or something like that and basically they don’t care anymore. The pho that I had last time here was the worst pho that I’ve ever tried in my life. There was a hair in my pho and the taste of meat was disgusting and the color of meat was almost black and you can tell the meal was cooked a few days ago and it was leftover. I stopped eating after a few minutes. Will never go back there. Stay away from this restaurant especially if you’re going to take your kids. Not healthy anymore and the health department needs to check this place.

Worst Ive had in Bakersfield. Had the combo#2, and while the portions were generous, it was pretty tasteless. I couldnt tell the difference between the Sweet and Sour Pork and the Orange Chicken, Chow Mein had only a couple of vegetables, and fried Rice was tasteless. As far as the Egg rolls and Shrimp, Egg rolls were too sticky to eat, Shrimp was too hard, overcooked.

The sauce was watered down the chicken was soaked in it like auju, the chicken was gross!! That is NOT teriyaki!!!!!!!! For work, we had a party catered from Maui Pho. It was delicious! We got rice, noodles, orange chicken, broccoli beef, mixed vegetables, and salt pepper pork belly. All of it was good. They are pretty popular, so you might want to order early or you might have to wait a few minutes, but it was worth it!

I just ate here and had to leave a review as I sit here. I just had the volcano rice with chilli paste and my god was it good. Not spicy (why you need the paste). I also had this special strawberry syrup with ice Basil mint boba. Service was great, and if you ever see Cameron take all of his advice for the food here. The noodles were all stuck together into 1 big ball, almost reminded me of a ball of yarn, and they were undercooked. Not impressed at all.

I thought this place would be good because of all the positive reviews and since my husband and I made a stop over in Bakersfield it was perfect. We love pho and Hawaiian food but this place misses the mark by 1000% percent! However once my doordash order arrived, my volcano fried rice was terrible and thankfully because it was so disgusting I did not eat it which (thankfully) saved me from getting food poisoning like my husband who had their two item combo and spent all night throwing it up. I have contacted doordash for a refund and I will reach out to the restaurant because it is unacceptable that this happened. I am also posting this review as a warning for any other travelers who love Asian food and think this is a good choice.

I like the food, its a good place to go when other places are closed on Sunday. I usually order takeout but thought I would sit in and study. I was greeted when I came in, but when I approached the table the use to be white seat is now dark grey with dirt and food stains all over it and sunken in that luckily there was a pillow that I could use as a booster. The greeter asked me what I wanted to drink I ordered a water with lemon that never came and 3 other people that came 15 to 20 minutes after me were served first. When I addressed this to the waiter he said he would bring the drink right over and took my order. Which you guessed it never came 10 more minutes after I sat and watched him serviced the other people their drinks. Disappointed I walked out and told them to cancel the order. There was not even a curiosity or an apology given. Overall do not go inside to get your food, but as for me I will not be coming back. This has left a bad taste in my mouth without even taking the first bite

I went in October for lunch and it was the first time I saw they had remodeled. The inside looks completely different and is so modern and clean looking. Im here at the drive-thru at least once a week and I pretty much always get the Special Pho and the Salt and Pepper Shrimp. SO SO SO good. The wait can be kind of long, but its literally always worth it because the food is so good. The Pho isnt traditional, its elevated and Im obsessed with their broth. If I could be nit picky and have a suggestion, its that the chicken they use in the pho can be a bit bland, but honestly thats not stopping me from eating here every time I drive by.December 2021 Update: Reduced to 4-stars. Got my regular Special Pho, and found that there was significantly less meat at the bottom of my soup bowl, and the drive-thru wait was an unacceptable 35 minute wait. We were definitely stuck behind someone with a big order, because by the time we got to the window, they already had our order ready and it was quick. Waiting would have been fine if the food wasnt also disappointing. When I got home with my order, I actually ate the majority of the pho before getting to the bottom and realizing there was meat, I was served a measley amount with 2 small shrimps, 2 pieces of beef, and one small shred of chicken. Ill keep coming and hopefully they were just having a bad day.

It was my first time tonight. We had the spring rolls and cream cheese wontons. The spring rolls were okay wish they were a bit bigger. The wontons had a lot of extra oil after they were fried. Opened one up and all the oil rushed out of it. Had the Maui special #2. Found a hair on my skewer told the waitress and she just replaced later tried to say it might have been her hair but it was a short hair not long. I couldnt really enjoy my food after that. The pho was good from what my husband stated.

My bf loves their sweet and sour soup. I love everything they have here and it has never made me sick (Im sensitive to food). The quality of their food has totally gone down. I hate to give them poor review because my family and I enjoyed they food for years. Well the last time I bought food from there I actually bit down on some kind of rock or stone. It was something so hard I thought I broke my tooth. I kept the foreign piece of whatever was in my food with the intent to go and show them. Then I realized that they probably wouldnt care or may even deny that I found it in my food. Decided to try Maui Pho for lunch today with my wife and two babies. Staff was amazing; super helpful and friendly with fast service. The drinks were great, I got the Thai tea and my wife got the mango boba (hold the boba) they were very fresh and delicious. The food was excellent. Best Pho Ive had in Bakersfield so far. I got the large beef Pho, easily could have fed two and a great price point. The broth was super tasty and the meat was good quality with a good amount of toppings and a perfect noodle to broth ratio. I must also mention that they are very family friendly... My son spilled my soup all over my lap and my daughter was crying and trying to climb on the table and the staff was completely understanding and helped get me out of there quick as soon as the kids meltdowns were peaking. Thank you guys for the awesome lunch experience and sorry about the mess. Also... Great atmosphere and decor!! Would definitely recommend and will be back (hopefully with less noise and mess on my end next time.)

This is one of my favorite places to eat, specifically for the Pho. However, todays visit couldve been better. I ordered online for the first time. I ordered 2 chicken pho, with extra limes, and 3 boba drinks, 2 mango, 1 passion fruit. When my order was vrought to me, one of my boba drinks were missing, it was quickly fixed. My family and I have given maui pho plenty of chances, the last 5 visit 3 weve turn around and walked out. And I believe Ive called and complained 4 different times to Management (I think). I dont understand when we first moved here 5+ years ago it was good and we were treated good. But when we started to get bad service, we stopped going for a year or so. And weve tried to go back many times, but all we got was ignored and bad service. and it use to be one of my favorite spots to eat, and I always recommend it to everyone. But that stopped when the bad service started. We had lunch there the other day, food was a bit over cooked and had a light burnt smell to it, and our orders were mixed up. Thats why I rated it a 3 star and said it was ok, I dont know how many chances Ill give them. I know I wont recommend them anymore, but I do wish them well and hope no one else gets treated the way we were.

They messed up on my chicken pho that I ordered for takeout. It tasted like soup water, it was so disgusting! I had to spend gas and time again to drive all the way back to their restaurant for them to fix my order. The staff said that the chef forgot to put the seasoning and once I got home again the soup still just didnt taste right I felt like vomiting. Also their meat portions on some of their plate servings are too small for a large and it costs about $10 or more! I wouldve gotten more full at Chipotle for a lower and cheaper price. Its best if you just find and move on to the next pho place, not much to see here. What a scam, never coming back here again.

I went buy this evening to pickup some dinner on the way home. I have always liked the friendly demeanor of the staff and tonight was no exception. What irks me is that I waited over 40 minutes on a take out order. They tried to hand me an order that belonged to someone who place an order after I did and I questioned it, then the other customer stepped up and said the food was his.I waited another 15 minutes before my food was finally brought out. Another customer who came in after I did, not only received his food ahead of me, but he also was able to enjoy his dinner and left before I did. He even questioned me about still being there. Not good food not great service, pho is traditionally almost like street truck food, its cheap and affordable but packed full of flavor. This pho was neither inexpensive or full of flavor, the small is like 9.00 and the large is like 12, I lived in San Diego and Kent wa for a while both have tons of pho places and to this day their prices generally the same and lower than this their about 6.50 for a small bowl which is more than enough for a 220lbs dude like myself or the large which is 8.00 sometimes 7.50, I understand your not just a pho restaurant lol your Maui too, pho is supposed to have a ma and pa feel, taste and price this has none only made to feel like im eating at some fine dining place when its just Asian food which is some of the best food on earth but traditionally its also the least expensive to make so therefore you shouldnt charge and arm and a leg, especially when. You cant even get the broth right.

I love Maui Phô! They have a varied menu and it is often hard for me to choose what to eat because there are so many items of theirs that I enjoy. I cant even choose one in particular to recommend, haha.First of all, the portions are fairly large. All the phô is great,. The fried rices are really good, the fried seafood chow mein is one of my favorites. Its all very good! Next time I go, I want to try their Hawaiian BBQ because I always seem to forget they serve it, despite the name of the restaurant.They remodeled the dining room a while back and I really like what theyve done with it, its a nice improvement. The service is good, and the staff are friendly and attentive. Ahhh.. Maui Pho. Always a treat. The pupu platter can be a shared appetizer or a meal for one. Sooo good. I love going there in the winter for a giant bowl of chicken pho with a side of their fresh spring rolls. Be prepared to take some soup home with you, especially if you order a large. Its a seemingly neverending bowl of chicken breast and veggies. Their other menu items are tasty as well. Ive found that they arent really that spicy but, theres plenty of Schiracha (sp?) at the table to add some heat. Casual dining and nice staff. When I called & asked for the owner, the same person who waited on me refused to let me talk to the owner. She knew why I was calling. Heard about this place from a co worker and decided to try it out. 1st time going to this place and will also be my last! Walked in 30mins before they were gunna close, didnt know that the place closed at 9pm, if i had known, i wouldve went to a different place to eat. The place was super cold, colder than outside temp. The place is easy to find. Has a quick drive thru option just incase yoi cant dine in. Staff is super friemdly and helpful. Food is well proportioned and a variety of selection to choose from. Have daily specials and Hawaiian dishes you cant find anywhere else. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Good prices but theyre always out of taro bobas. I have gone here at least 3-4 and theyre out of taro. The girl took my order and came back 15 mins later to tell me they are out of taro bobas...never going back again.

You would be foolish to be in Bakersfield and not visit this tasty eatery. The Pho is incredible already, but hidden talents lie in their island style menu items like Chicken Katsu or Oxtail Stew, Saimin, or Grilled Fresh Fish... they also serve many fruit flavors of the trendy boba drinks, blended perfectly... mango is a go to... they also have a drive-thru...

This place serves a mixture of various Asian dishes. As its name would suggest, they have Hawaiian and Vietnamese food. Theres plenty of seating, the servers were friendly, but the food just wasnt that good.We also had to grab fork and napkin from a neighboring table since not enough were provided for us. They also didnt give us chopsticks for our pho. Very strange to eat pho with a fork.Parking was plentiful. I would not recommend this place for people looking for an authentic Vietnamese pho restaurant experience nor an authentic Hawaiian restaurant experience.

We came here after a family event. The location was closed just for our party. I cant tell you all the names of the dishes but what I can day is that all the dishes I tried were delicious. I was expecting americanized Chinese food but the food was tasty and flavorful.

I went In The drive-thru and waited forever and no one answered so I drove up to the window No one acknowledged the drive thru. I walked in and asked why don’t they have a sign saying drive thru doesn’t work, the lady said it was out of batteries?.. the food was ok it didn’t tase fresh to me. I wouldn’t recommend.

Nasty got the teriyaki chicken and teriyaki beef for my gf both dishes had no flavor, chicken was really dry the beef was extremely greasy... didnt even taste like teriyaki. .. we will never go there again. Waste of money.

This is the BEST Asian food in Bakersfield. By far. The prices are are great Im currently eating Maui Chow Mein. It has Shrimp, Chicken and Pork with Brocili, peppers, onions and sprouts. For only $8.50. Plus the Boba drinks are to die for. Come check it out. All I can say is YUM!!!

I went in to get some boba and I waited 20 minutes. After the boba was a liquid, like juice. After I asked for a refund and they refused, then said I can make another so I agreed, then the second ones were bad as well. Not going anymore.
