It was ok some of the food was great and others not so great menus is coin flip either extremely good or extremely bad ate with a party of 4 we had some of the shareable dishes which where good but then I got me some stir fry noodles and they were so bland not even drowning in soy sauce could save it 🤦‍♂️

NEW OWNER. New Remodel.The Decoration and furniture were so good. Food is ok and can improveThey are new and trying to improve day by day.I gave them a lot of advice and they were carefully listening. I hope next time they will surprise me.The kid loves Sweet pork ribs, I tried Rau Muong Xao Toi, Canh Chua Ca and Bun Rieu Cua Dong. 7.5/10.

I stopped by to support the new ownership but I was disappointed. I should have left when I saw a lot of flies in the restaurant. I ordered perking duck with egg noodle soup. The duck meat didn’t taste like fresh made. The broth wasn’t good. Unfortunately, i don’t think I will go back.

Food was not what I expected orange chicken was yellow leather like with no flavor garlic chicken was sweet and coated white with sugar rice and chow mein was ok. Will not eat here again.

Never tried this local restaurant until today lunchtime, I came at 1PM on this Friday, just only us and another family at that time so its really quiet. I and my friend have Bun Rieu and Back Lieu noodles and the food were so goodddd 👍 Lots of veggies on plate and the sauce is delicious, staffs were really nice, they have nice set up and ambience, lots of tables and spaces, I came for their self advertisement on Facebook and the impression is that they are worth it, will come back for other noodles soups ❤️🍲❤️

Soooo delicious Vietnamese foods and noodles soups. Very authentic. Owner is nice and service is fast. Drinks are good too. A must try ! I come back many times for their foods. Good job.

Ive been coming here for almost 30 years, with friends family. I drive sometimes 2 hours for their zechuan Beef, like no other place. Its Great, Perfectlycooked dishes!! Everything on the menu is great. The host lady is the sweetest 💕 and has been there since I was a child. Love it!!

The food lacked original flavors. The Canh Chau was definitely chua. Too chua like excessive lemons. And the Ca Kho To was too sweet. When It should have been more saltier.

Ive been eating here since I was a little kid; in fact, when my father moved to the United States during his college years, he came here during their first year of opening. Though there may be some familial bias with my review of Maxims, let me just say that the quality and selection of food here hasnt ever left me dissatisfied, even after over 20 years of eating here.To share a fairly recent experience this past year: I had a small catering order for an event that requested authentic Chinese food. At that time, I hadnt gone out to many of the traditional Asian eateries since 2020 (mostly because they closed either temporarily or permanently). The first place that came to mind was Maxims Seafood, and I was ecstatic to hear that they were able to fulfill my request. The order was ready at the stated time, prepared well, and an itemized receipt was already attached (this is useful for those who request reimbursement for company events). The same couple who has been running this restaurant for decades is still there, and still puts in as much effort to ensure guest satisfaction and tasty food, no matter the economic circumstances all of us have faced.If youre looking for authentic and delicious Chinese/Vietnamese food (i.e. roast duck, Phó, sauteed cuisine, etc.), please give these folks a try. They deserve the support, especially in these unprecedented times. I will be returning as much as possible, even though I live 30 minutes north. Its worth it, before and now.

Local solid food whole in the wall type of eatery. Mix of Asian Ethnic food that dont disappoint.Have had meat (before vegetarian push) and vegetarian dishes and neither disappointed. Obviously items can be omitted or added upon request(Love the szechuan sauce here and add it to the mixed vegetables, nice heat!). Additionally they do offer family meal deals with pre selected dishes.Portions are solid, definitely hungry woman/man type and perfect for family style dining whether it be dine in or to go.

The reason i didnt provide a great review because i order wings two order of chicken fried rice and orange chicken for me and my husband and the total came up around 47.00 dollars, but the point is my husband felt like the restaurant short handed him and plus the wings we told the man on the phone we wanted salted pepper wings and my husband got garlic wings, so we will not be stopping by this restaurant again.

This is NOT a seafood restaurant! I Tried the Beef Egg Rolls and they were actually ok... everything else not so good. Fried Rice, cant remember what else ...which says a lot.

I love to soup dishes, the broth can be a side dish on its on. The staff taking orders at the desk, shes amazing great personality, great customer service, and by my stature she can identify the right meal suggestions. # Customer service satisfaction at its best.

Been going here almost 17 years and it’s always been amazing. The customer service is always awesome and I can’t get enough of the Mongolian Beef with a bowl of Wonton Soup. Open until midnight every night. Every person I have brought here loves it and craves it. I moved away and every time I come back it’s the first place I go to. I’ve eaten here for lunch and dinner in the same day multiple times.

Restaurant service party dish rather then individuals dish... my mistake to think I could take the whole rice dish at one, unless you have big appetizers then there is no problem for youRestaurant have a classic Asian restaurant interior (also they should try to make the restroom brighter). Recommend for family party dine in but not Recommend for business meetings, unless its a party business hospitality showing meetings

Closes at midnight and we had just come into the area from WA and it was 10pm already. I had contracted a bug on the plane and knew I needed some hot ginger soup. Maxims had exactly what I needed! They called it rice porridge but Filipinos call it arrozcaldo and it was so satisfying! I asked for ginger and they added extra I think. The staff were really super nice and they had no problem refilling the hot water for my jasmine tea. All the food was delicious!!!

One of the best Chinese restaurants in San Diego. My family has been going here since my parents found out they were pregnant with me. Their Mongolian Beef is the best you will find anywhere we always order two plates. The Claypot special is outstanding. their chow fun is yummy!! I recommend this restaurant. Also try their black bean crab.

Friendly staff and I discovered via a recommendation of the San Diego Readers Barbara Barbarella Fokos, I went there because she and her mother raved about the takeout Cantonese style food that they used to order back in New York City. Likewise for me, gone for take out twice, havent been disappointed; just five blocks away I have been transported back to my childhood Cantonese restaurants high quality back in Boston. Superb menu and reasonable prices. Also serves Tsing Tao beer which is never a bad thing.

They want to charge you extra for old soup and Basil. There’s pho soup used to be really good but I don’t know what happened it just has gone downhill. Poor service and expensive for the nasty pho. No more food for me there!!!

What did I like......hmmmm nothing. The food was gross. And uncooked. I was looking for a decent place to eat late at night everything looked good till I got back to my hotel. Eating my kung pao chicken it was very undercooked and chewy. Gave the lady a call and back she did nothing to make the experience great. She offered me a new one but reminded me they close at 12 and wouldnt wait for me to pick it up again. I do not recommend this place to anyone take your money else where.
